Steve Burton, Sharon Case & Joshua Morrow Bring The Drama In The Baby Christian Reveal!

You know it’s heavy duty drama time on Y&R when they bring in the signature tune, Nadia’s Theme, in the midst of the sadness of a major game-changer!

Finally, in a storyline that many fans were not “fans” of, Sharon (Sharon Case) confessed the secret she has been hiding for months … and months.  Baby Sully is really Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sage’s son, Christian! This week in key scenes, Sharon was cornered by the fact that Patty (Stacy Haiduk) had reached out to Nick to tell him that his son Christian is alive, and Sharon knows all about it.  Once Nick confronted Sharon about what Patty blurted out, instead of weaseling her way out of it, she actually fesses-up!  What was great about that was that it was not overplayed or made into histrionics as played by Sharon Case, whose character Sharon is the unassuming-victim-turned-deceiving-manipulator in this piece.  But, Sharon had good reason as she believes that she didn’t want to break Dylan’s heart, yet, she broke the long-time love of her life, Nick’s heart in the process.

Later, when Nick storm troops up the stairs to gather Christian and take him from Sharon and Dylan’s home, it’s Dylan who is next in line to find out the gut-wrenching secret.  Sharon tells him that Sully is not his son, and the twisted story of how she miscarried Dylan’s baby, but couldn’t bring herself to tell him.  Then, how she fell into the clutches of a vengeful Dr. Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush) who made a fragile Sharon believe she was pregnant and kept drugging her in the process, while keeping her away from Dylan.  When Dylan learns the truth, once and for all, it provided one of the most heartbreaking moments in the storyline played to perfection by Daytime Emmy winners, Steve Burton and Sharon Case.

Nick is livid and plans to take Christian home with him, but after an outburst of his anger, frustration, and horror of the whole situation, where both he and his half-brother Dylan were both duped by Sharon, he decides to let Christian stay the night with Sharon and Dylan.

It was a nicely played explosive moment from Y&R stalwart, Joshua Morrow. The capper came when Dylan wanted to be alone with his “son” and went to be with him in his room upstairs and held him. Burton hit the right notes, again. How can Dylan lose another “son”? Remember Chelsea duped him, too, with Connor!

And no matter how this plays out; if it’s a custody battle between brothers, or Nick gets his son back without a court order, there is still a HUGE secret looming that will really gut-punch Nick!  He’s not even Christian’s bio-dad .. .his dead brother Adam is the boy’s father, and Chelsea knows and hasn’t said anything, just as the duo are getting closer.

While the storyline too many was maddening, let’s focus on the terrific performances this week of Steve Burton, Sharon Case, and Joshua Morrow in the baby Christian reveal.  Share your thoughts in the key emotional scenes in the comment section below.  But first, watch some of the big moments in the clips below!! More of the fallout is coming your way next week on all-new episodes of Y&R!

Joshua Morrow.. is an… invaluable asset to : Y&R

his character is dull… his presence is not

it’s a trait most envy.

(in the latest SOD issue ) Close call… LOVED IT… truly do

Joshua Morrow.. and Amelia Heinle

endearing know

was asked about their first take:

LOL

the director : comes out :

“OK , listen up, you two” “the sexual chemistry is great, you are brother and sister.. let’s try this again”

Amelia: had to go and look at the dailies; “I was looking like I was going to eat him up with a spoon”

Joshua: therein lies why I continue to flirt with my sister.

after all is said and done… with all the hoopla in and behind the scenes… cast member share

Joshua Morrow… “thank you” for looking out for my girl… two times emmied.. Victoria had to grow… with or without a recast… Amelia arrived

he’s a dream… he’s an actors dream … he’s a production dream

he’s so well versed… personality to be envied.

Joshua Morrow.

1st—-
I am luvin Y&R !!
2nd—
I hope Sharon gets a good bitch slappin; !
She needs some brusin’ .. I’d bounce her head off the floor, for sure LOL ..
I’ll be really set back disappointed if Sharon it’s given to the cannibals !

I will miss Pratt– I have always liked him..
I had hopes for a Pratt & Carlivati writing team for GH .. but Pratt landed himself a really great opportunity, sigh ..

I’m looking forward to an Adam recast, and he will be recast, and for him to claim his son !!

Also– looking forward to Victor taking Jack down ..

Reunite Christian, w Adam, & Chelsea, love to see that they are Christian, biological Son. Not NIcholas or Dylan, BIological daughter Bella, as Christian’s Sister. Get rid of Chloe, bring Adam bk hm to claim, his Son Christian. claim Bella as their biological daughter, not Chloe.

It is not going to happen. Remember this is a soap. It would be to boring. That is why Nick and Sharon are no longer together. I understand a lot of people do not like the character of Sharon Neumann. You have to remember, this is a fictional character and Sharon Case does an amazing job. She would not be with Y & R over 20 years if all her material was the same.

I was never a fan of Dylan’s…I cannot comment on Steve because I am not familiar with the actor. Now, I see the talent, for the first time, in ‘Dylan’ .
He really got to me. I felt his ‘displacement’ in reality; on earth. He felt ‘uncemented’; dislocated, in disbelief…..apart from everything, except for this horrific drama unfolding before him. Very convincing acting.

As for Sharon? She was ok. Nick? Nah…..not very convincing. I love Joshua, but his feelings of distress lacked something. Je ne sais quoi! Not impressed. Faith demonstrated more acting chops.
It is just weird that all these months where Nick bemoaned Christian’s death….not once mentioning Sage.
I found it sort of a coincidence that after I mentioned this fact days ago, Nick, for the first time, tells Chelsea how much he missed Sage. Really? After a year?
I understand that Joshua reads a script, but, geesh, put some feeling into it when the words of regret and anguish are given to you. Nothing!!

I was sooo ‘sent’ onto another plane by Dylan, so much so that I surprised myself. I always called him Robocop. But, boy, oh boy, did he turn me around!! He didn’t even have to do or say anything. The watery eyes, the strained, pained expression on his face said more than words. Kudos.
Steve Buryon stood out….well, Faith, as well. LOL.
But, the star was the baby. All I wanted to do was squeeze those chubby, little cheeks. So beautiful! I wanted to bite those little feet and toes. He gets the Emmy..LOL.

Burton is one of those actors can emote by just using his steel-blue eyes.
As for Nick and his feelings for Sage?
I think someone wrote a book on the subject called,”He’s Just Not That Into You.”
I also want to add that Camryn Grimes (Mariah) pulled in a stellar performance. This girl is so good at acting that you can’t even see the wheels turning. She’s a natural.

Agree, Cee! Dylan had such a combo pain/bewilderment expression
on his face. He so much seemed like he didnt know if this truth bomb
was real, or just a nightmare he could wake from.

Yes, Nanci. I really believe he portayed this out-of-body experience to perfection. You know when we hear how people feel far-removed from a tragic situation, as if it is happening to someone else? Well, this is reminiscent of that. So close to home, my friend; seeing Dylan’s stoic vulnerability ( pardon the oxymoron) sends me back to a very dark time in my life.

Please make it happen

Steve can act. He was limited in his role as Jason on GH. If Steve comes back and plays Jason again he should be brought back as Dr. Quartermaine. They should’ve done this with Billy Miller and they screwed up so this is your chance to send Billy Miller packing he will be the fake Jason and Steve Burton be the real Jason but keep him away from Sonny let him be a doctor and bond with his mother and let’s move forward and you’ll see Celia Steve is really a good actor he just needs the right material Dylan was a major bust!

Sounds good to me, Timmmy. As a fan of Billy Miller, he is not working for me as Jason. Just as Jason T isn’t working as Billy Abbott.
I wonder if Billy Miller’s aura/oomph would be recaptured if he were to come back to Y& R.
It’s funny how we can come to lîke a character after months of apathy. I did it with Alexis ( GH) and now Dylan. Am I flip-flopping? I need air. LOL.

Celia I am replying to you. I agree about Dylan. For me he never fit into the story until he was leaving. That seemed to set him free.

Lastly, I have been asking for an answer to how Victor seemed to be the first one to know about Adam’s and Christian’s paternity. I must have missed some programs. How did Victor step into that sphere of knowledge? It seemed he knew before Adam. Thanks.

Hi, Tani,
That is such a great question. While we always knew that Victor was aware of Christian’s true paternity ( being Adam), I don’t think it was ever revealed how he found out. I cannot recall one specific moment of enlightenment on his part.
But, we all know how ruthless and vindictive Victor is when it comes to saving himself if not his soul.
I remember Victor knew Sage had slept with both his sons and the baby’s paternity was iffy in Sage’s mind.
I never really believed Christian was Adam’s, so I was surprised. I would not put it past Victor to have played with the DNA results to get back at Adam for putting him in jail.
So, Victor being Victor, he manipulated everything. I think he know Nick is the father and not Adam.
So, to answer your question, I am as stuck as you are. I don’t think he ever found out. I think he made it all up and that’s why there’s so much head-scratching going on.
Perhaps another of our friendly poster can answer the question for both of us. LOL.
Later, Tani.

Although I think the reveal would’ve packed more punch a long time ago, and if Adam was
still around, the actors were great anyway. Sharon’s face really showed a mixture of
sadness, and relief that her heavy secret was finally out of her. Dylan, he looked and
behaved like he literally was punched in the gut. But Nick, he seemed angry more than
anything. Mariah was great, as usual, in her brief moments at the house when it was
obvious the truth was out. Love her! She always brings it perfectly, no matter the scene!
And I am so glad the baby story is over!

I’m glad the story is out but let’s tell the whole story. Nick isn’t the father either and Victor and Chelsea know it so what makes them any better than Sharon There both lying to.
So let’s get the whole story out there and be done with it. But I guess we’ll drag that out to until we’re all sick of it.

Finally someone is saying what I have been saying all along. All those times Nick has been pouring his heart out to Chelsea, there were plenty of opportunities where she could have said something but didn’t. If the situation arises, she has no reason to say anything about Sharon. (Not that I am condoning what Sharon did). She is just in the wrong as Sharon. Not to mention she did the same thing to Dylan with Connor. And what gets me is that Chelsea sides with Victor only when its for her own good. She is far from innocent in all of this. I really did feel bad for Dylan though. This the second time in about 2 years that he has had babies taken from him through no fault of his own. And both sons no less. You can’t help but feel sorry for the poor guy

Daytime Drama: CBS, Michael Muhney Drop Hints About Actor’s Return to “Young and Restless”

I won’t believe it till it’s on MF

PLEASE Soap God… if ever there is one wish.. fervent desires

That would be grand, Patrick.
I just hope they do not even address the fact that his face went back to its birthplace

Wow, hope SO much it is true!!!

I pray right along with you!

What we are missing here is the next shoe to fall that Nick is not cristians dad but Adam. I hope that it’s soon and not another gaggle of months away as this one specific story needs to end. I don’t get though how Chelsea and Chloe can stand there and judge Sharon while both have had the exact same storyline before and once with Dylan! And now they both have the same exact stories again!! Chloe is hiding the fact that Bella is Billy’s and Chloe that Sully/Cristian was Adams!

Love the acting and fact it’s almost ocer

Please let nick have his child my god sharon not letting Dylan or nick know about that and that the his child is alive and not Dylan and belongs to nick!!!!!! Let it go.

Next to the horribly-written “Who Killed Diane Jenkins” story arc from the Maria Arena Bell-era, this will surely go down in “Y & R” history as one of the show’s worst tales! Beyond stupid, purely illogical and ineptly constructed! The only thing worse than the bad storytelling was the further destruction of the Sharon Newman McAvoy character. How much lower can they have this character sink?!?

December 7th can’t come soon enough for this viewer – may the writing Gods smile down upon the new “Y & R” writing team and bring the show back to character-driven stories!!

I can see what the straw was that broke the camel’s back that led to Mr. Pratt’s departure. This past week! This is November sweeps, pull out your big guns, your big stories….and I honestly fell asleep during 2 of the episodes. Soooo bad. Nick would never have left that baby in that house….he would have taken him with him. Sharon came out of the week without a scratch…the storyline that got her thinking she was pregnant was stupid enough….does anyone care that Natalie is getting so much screen time…why is she still around? December can’t come fast enough.

Yep it’s sweeps and Fridays show was unwatchable!

Bring back Muhney and Billie Miller
The new Billy NO”!
Travis is a disappointment

Yeah, Ac,
As far as I’m concerned, Travis just took Luca’s place. Having foils, such as Billy and Jack ( who is acting as the over-the-hill town idiot) is not enough for Victor. He needs someone who seems to be his pet ‘abloom, but, who is really his patsy.
We shall see what Travis’ role is with Victor. We shall see how far Travis will go as a bad boy, or good boy.
I don’t think TPTB have a paved, set storyline for him.
I liked him the first time around; now, I have reservations.

Its about time to get RID of Sumner. She whines too much. One note actress.
Phyllis & Jack are gaining some momentum.
Chelsea BELONGS only with Adam. Not Nick
Chloe needs to be exposed.
Hillary works my nerves in a GOOD way
STOP making Devon look like an idiot. His acting skills are being wasted on monitoring his wife.
Bravo to Sharon she plays a good crae crae

Patty is Aewsome. Great acting

Sharon Case is underrated because they have destroyed her character and she has graciously accepted it and acted her back side off in the process. As a Sharon fan I realize many don’t care for her but lots of folks do and so do the writers or her character would have gone a long time ago.

Queen Sharon rules and they know it she is not going anywhere! She takes the lumps the big boys can’t handle the cry babies oh please don’t ruin my character she takes the hits I adore her she is good people!

Can’t imagine how I got ahead of the game since my viewing is days behind. However, my comments are on November 2.

Forgive me, I know Victor hires people who know everything; thus so does he, but how did Victor leap into any sphere of information regarding Christian’s paternity?

Viewer’s, Sage and Adam knew the possibility, but how did Victor move into that circle? Think some episodes must have been missed around here. Thanks!

You wait so long for something to happen, that by the time it finally does, you’re oh, is that all there is? I just want to find out now, who the damned father is and than we can drag the rest out, for another year.

The Sully reveal has been such a massive disappointment (which is saying a lot since this entire story has been one of the worst in the show’s history).

My biggest problem is that Nick is being portrayed as rash and uncaring because he wants his son back after mourning the child for the last year (heaven forbid Dylan be inconvienced by having to give up something that isn’t his). Sure the kid isn’t Nick’s but he doesn’t know that and neither does Dylan so that whole “we’re the only family the child has known” doesn’t hold water to me; if you had a stolen car would “I’m the only person to drive it” hold up in court? Methinks not.

I also dislike that Sharon’s deceit wasn’t exposed in a more public forum such as Sully’s birthday party at Crimson Lights when half of Genoa City could be there to witness her lies exposed. There’s nothing more dramatic (or entertaining) than a soap bad girl getting her comeuppance while simultaneously being branded a social pariah (think OLTL’s Karen Wolek and GL’s Annie Dutton on the witness stand).

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

Published

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
