Given her remarkable run as B&B’s cornerstone, a strong argument can indeed be made for Flannery at #1. In centrality to a soap’s success, no other actress can match Flannery over the last quarter century. And she is perhaps the only remaining “diva” who did top-tier work (DOOL) in the 1960’s. But any such list that actually includes Sarah Felder and Patricia Pease over, say, Ruth Warrick or Eileen Fulton cannot be taken seriously. Was Felder’s brief stint at RH really that significant?
