Photo: IMDB

On today’s November 20th episode of General Hospital, there will be a new look to TJ Ashford when Tajb Bellow takes over the role from Daytime Emmy-nominated Tequan Richmond.

As viewers know, and first reported by Daytime Confidential, Richmond landed a lead role in the upcoming series on BET called Boomerang.

Now, with Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Jordan’s (Briana Nicole Henry) wedding right around the corner, of course, it makes sense that TJ will be back on the canvas.

As for Bellow, his previous credits include The Ben Carson StoryK.C. Undercover, and Bosch.

Richmond has played the role since 2012.  Soap Opera Digest announced the casting switcheroo.

Bellow tweeted on the announcement of his joining GH, “So excited to be joining the family!”

So, looking forward to seeing the character of TJ back in the mix in Port Charles? Comment below.

“Now, with Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Jordan’s (Briana Nicole Henry) wedding right around the corner, of course, it makes sense that TJ will be back on the canvas.”
Really? Why? When was the last time that we saw TJ? We’ll see him at the wedding, and then he’ll be MIA for the next six months to make room for Peter, Sasha, Willow, etc. November sweeps are boring and tanking the ratings. Ryan is a dullard (and I LOVE Jon Lindstrom). We haven’t seen Lucy, Felicia, or Mac. But, Laura is kissing Peter’s “heiny” because he owns “The Invader.” Apparently, now it’s Genie Francis’ job to prop-up Laura Wright’s boyfriend. I’m just so disappointed with this show. It’s a waste of time to watch.

AVP, is it just me or is Peter becoming more repulsive by degrees? I CAN’T STAND the guy with his smarmy attitude, lousy wardrobe, and “publishing genius”. Anyone who’d put Lulu in charge of “serious journalism” needs serious help. Still don’t get why he’s on. Or Sasha. Or new T.J. Or Stella. Or……

isn’t he being the brat… lets see him in another elevator drop mode get sketchy.

I found it laughable as Anna digs in on Valentin, @the Metro Bar… “don’t touch my son” ????? they have yet to “bond” yet Anna is clawing her way back…. LOL.. should she ? I have zero interest in her character. it’s so embarrassing watching Finn HAM it up … for all the bumbling his character is… AND his LEADING MAN theatrics ( he’s stealing Franco act ) w/ not an ounce of chemistry… he sure takes the lead in stud muffin’ing Anna in bed. she’s lapping it all up. why would Anna sit their holding Finn as he’s reading a letter from Hayden… so understanding doe eyed not missing any stroke.

heart palpitation?… bile of richs… PLEASE STOP THIS

@first glance… I thought Alex Rodriguez… GOOD FOR HIM, the actor… getting this opportunity. OK perhaps we’ll see more of Molly… @GH tune down her know it all

I liked well enough the ex-Jordan chemistry with TJ.. she seemed to have a softer touch with ; and the spats with Stella seemed MORE believable.

GUESS that’s my 2 cents on the recast. Hopefully THIS TJ will smooth that out.

Tajb Bellow ” IF – you are – connecting; making contact
with Stella… that’s 1/2 the battle… chemistry with Molly the other 1/2

with Jordan and Curtis.. icing

Ok. Does this mean we’ll get to see more of TJ and Molly?

Probably be a recast Molly too. Wouldn’t surprise me.

Gee, I hope not!

I sorry to see Tequan go but happy he’s got another gig. I will say that this TJ looks a good bit like his on-screen mother. Good luck to him.

Tequan was a QT in nothing role, so why even recast it?

Agreed. TPTB don’t have a clue. That’s why the ratings are in the toilet. – nothing against the recast or actor.

Am liking the new TJ, but too bad he’s giving the mother away, he’s only known about five minutes.
I am guessing poor Kiki will not make the wedding, as the Ava crazy Ryan , has other plans for her.
How sadistic of them to have her murdered on Thanksgiving day.

REPORT: Nicholas Chavez Not Returning to General Hospital

For those who were holding out hope that Daytime Emmy winner and fan favorite, Nicholas Chavez would be returning to General Hospital after filming his leading role in Ryan Murphy’s Monsters anthology, it looks like those hopes have been dashed.

According to a report from TV Line, although unconfirmed from General Hospital or a representative for Chavez, the actor will not reprise his role as Spencer Cassadine on the long-running ABC soap opera and continue the love story of Sprina opposite Tabyana Ali (Trina, GH).

Chavez was cast as Lyle Menendez over the the summer of 2023 for the second season of Murphy’s limited Monsters series on Netflix. In the upcoming season, the series will focus on the the case of Lyle and Erik Menendez, the two well-to-do Beverly Hills brothers accused of murdering their parents in 1989.

After word from Chavez casting was revealed, GH fans were concerned over the fate of the Sprina story, a spokesperson for GH shared,  “We support Nicholas’ endeavors and look forward to having him return to General Hospital once this project is wrapped.”

In story, the series “killed off” Spencer when he went overboard with Esme to the steely waters below after being injected with a drug, thanks to Esme and falling into the Seine River in France. However, his body was never recovered, and believed to have drowned or washed away. Thus, leaving an opening for Spencer to return in the form of Chavez or be recast down the line.

TV Line shared that ‘multiple sources’ are confirming that Chavez is not returning to the ABC soap opera, which is what many had suspected might be the case once he left for this major starring role in a Ryan Murphy project. Chavez has been relatively quiet on social media for months.

The Michael Fairman Channel spoke with Nicholas Chavez for a virtual interview when he first joined the show in 2021, and spoke to him right after when he won the Daytime Emmy in 2022 – you can see those below.

No word yet on when Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story will debut on Netflix, but it is assumed later this year.
