Tamara Clatterbuck Surprise Return To The Young and the Restless!

Now who doesn’t want a little Clatterbuck in our lives? Exciting news was confirmed today on the August 29th episode of the top-rated soap, The Young and the Restless.
Back on to the scene is the talented Tamara Clatterbuck who is reprising her role as Alice Johnson, Cassie’s adoptive mother. In story, Nick (Joshua Morrow) was in for a major shock when Alice walked in to the Underground on Tuesday’s episode.
Tamara had previously been on the Y&R canvas from 1998-2005 before exiting the series.
But what is the reason Alice is back in Genoa City? Make sure to tune-in this week for more juicy reveals.
So, what do you think is the reason Alice is back on Y&R? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
I bet she’s involved with the prostitution ring.
That’s what I thought. We saw a blonde lady from the back. I also think Zach is involved.
I have no idea but I have a feeling it will be interesting…Cassie has died but there is Mariah…So what is going on?
I am always excited to see old characters (whether main or supporting) return to the canvas for a storyline. I’m sure lots of dedicated viewers could rattle off a ton of old favorites they’d like to see come back, if even for a short visit. I’ve sung this song before, but I’d love to see the original Bill Bell characters return to their old hometown: the Brookes sisters in particular. Before Kay Alden departs, I hope Mal picks her brain.
Ron, I agree with you 100% regarding old characters and would LOVE for the Brooke sister’s return…Jaime Lyn Bauer, Janice Lynde since Victoria Mallory has passed, Trish Stewart and Patricia Everly.
I didn’t know Mallory passed away, sorry to read this. But, I always loved Janice, the original.. Both equally talented. I’m guessing Maestro is no longer alive?
So, what would be a writing device that would at least get them all back to Genoa City? Last time was Nikki/Victor first wedding, right?
I’ll think about this one.
Ron…I SECOND THAT EMOTION!!!!! As for myself, I would love for Julia (Victor’s first wife…played by the FABULOUS Meg Bennett) to come back to Y&R…Y-E-A-H!!!!! Julia has ALWAYS BEEN one of my all-time FAVORITE Y&R characters…ABSOLUTELY!!!!!
Have a good one, Ron.
Jaybird– Julia was a great, no nonsense character… and what a beautiful woman. Would love to see her back, if only for a short term story… here’s hoping the writers read these ideas!
oh my god… all in a good way
you caught me in a sentimental mood.
Julia made Victor a Man
Julia tenderized this Man
Victor was always in a good mood with a ready smile.
LOL – sounds too good to be true
was she all on before he started rotting to the core ?
me thinks so…. dang it ! it’s still a sentimental
I will say one thing… at that time… Julia was her own woman. she didn’t need him… he loved her… perhaps that’s when her turned
* perhaps that’s when HE turned
so not fair to Nikki , right
even then… after all this time… she’s just at fault after all these decades
Nikki coulda woulda shoulda
Victoria Mal!ory (nee Morales) died sometime ago. Lori Brooks (Jaime Lynn Bauer?) Is still with us but those Horton fans would arm-wrestle you!
Lori Brooks would be a great pairing withnThe Moustache. (I prefer Niki with Jack -much more drama for all three actors. Stir in long time animus btw Lori, Niki…)
Is it wrong to crave some Chancellors? Old Phillip could have had at least one illegitimate kid who had a kid or two. Imagine the tussle for the fortune
Great idea! I miss lots of Chancellor estate action!
I agree as well. You’re right that veteran viewers could put together a list of old characters that should return (even if for limited purposes)
My list:
LEANNA LOVE, who was last seen as a tabloid television reporter. Easily could return to cover some scandal in Genoa City. As Hillary has a similar job, it might be interesting to watch the “fur fly” between Hillary and Leanna. Also, I’m sure there would be friction between her and Nikki as well.
BRITTANY NORMAN, a character many people may not remember (beloved niece of George Rawlins, the deceased husband of Cassandra Rawlins). Brittany was a tax attorney, who appeared to be romantically interested in Paul and initially was unaware that Paul was having an affair with “aunt” Cassandra. Brittany just disappeared as the George Rawlins murder mystery was winding down. A writer could “revamp” the history of Brittany — After a one-time sexual encounter with Paul, Brittany left town when she realized the extent of Paul’s involvement with Cassandra and never told him that she was pregnant. Brittany raised his daughter with her subsequent husband who died a few years ago. This would give Paul another child (beyond that horrible Dylan, the dead Ricky and the AWOL Heather). Maybe Brittany could return to help Jabot with an IRS tax audit so it would put her in the orbit of Jack and Ashley (characters that I don’t recall her even knowing before).
LORI BROOKS: Since her departure from Genoa City, Lori has been building her the business started with (now deceased) father Stuart Brooks’ ownership of the Genoa City Chronicle that has evolved into Brooks Media, a corporation with interests in newspapers (including the Chronicle), a cable network and a publishing company. The Chronicle, like many current newspapers, has suffered greatly in the advent of the internet. Lori feels a strong sentimental attachment to the Chronicle as her father started it and moves the Brooks Media headquarters to Genoa City so she can focus on saving the paper. Lori never had children and wants to keep Brooks family members running the operation. Thus, she brings on two of her late 20’s/early 30’s nephews: (1) Mark Williams, the son of Steve Williams (Paul’s brother) and Peggy Brooks; and (2) Christopher Foster, the son of Snapper Foster (Jill’s “brother”) and Chris Brooks. The two nephews are completely different —- Mark is very conniving and determined to become the heir apparent to Aunt Lori while Christopher Foster is the “decent” nephew (whom Mark continually undermines professionally and personally). Businesswoman Jill tries to help Christopher but is frustrated at his inability to succeed at work due to his “kindness” (Jill — “Why can’t you be more like Mark?”). Meanwhile, Paul is aghast at Mark’s driven ruthlessness (Paul — “Why can’t you be more like Christopher?”). The writers could Mark and Christopher into the show while letting Lori supplant Nikki with Victor. A possible addition: Lori could hire Leanna Love or Hillary to host a tabloid show on the cable network or employ novelist Traci Abbott or Nina Webster to work for her publishing company.
Barbara! These are terrific concepts, and you present good contemporary plots for these characters. I remember all of these characters fondly. Leanna is priceless. Nina is one-of-a-kind. Lori is magic. These were Bill Bell creations at his best…. and there are so many others lurking in our memories that could resurface.
I always loved the obesity storyline with Joanne and her cheating husband, and the mix with Peggy Brookes. But that Rawlins mystery is probably the most cleverly twisted plotline ever on this soap!
Thanks for investing such much into the response.
And bring back GINA. And bring back the Colonnade Room. Top of the Tower is weak by comparison.
Barbara, I agree with Ron…and Ron, I would love to have GIna back and the Colonnade Room, the show use to have such class…OK, here it comes, bring back the classic background music…I am sorry folks, I will keep on saying this for I can’t help it, lol…the background music was such a part of the show and miss it so much…
Barbara…VERY, VERY EXCELLENT IDEAS!!!!! Keep ’em coming!!!!!
Have a good one, Barbara.
I appreciate the positive remarks. Honestly, I was a little embarrassed at how long my post was.
There are a TON of things a writer could use from the history of the show and (if written well) could do with Y&R compelling. (Ex: Sharon’s never scene father, what is he up to and what interaction would he and Sharon have? Speaking of Gina, she was an ex-con off screen before running Gina’s. What happened with her before she came to town? She easily could have a grifter son floating around. We know very little about Phyllis’ mother. Maybe the mother is the real reason that Phyllis is so manipulative. The apple doesn’t have to fall far from the tree).
The revolving door of writers over the past decade, IMO, has been DEVASTATING to Y&R. There are continuity issues and some writers didn’t seem to have any clue about the history of the show or what made it different from the others. I had HUGE hopes that the return of Sally Sussman and Kay Alden would remedy a lot of the problems. However, a nine month tenure for them was NOT long enough to repair what has been done. I do not believe they suddenly “retired” from a show where they both had learned the soap craft. (My guess is that, after mere months on the job, they were fired or they fled because the current state of writing for Y&R is impossible). I strongly suspect that CBS and Sony have TOO MUCH INVOLVEMENT with the day to day writing of the show and are not giving a capable writer such Sussman the space and time to put something decent on the air.
It is hard to watch Y&R now. I know what the show COULD be and no writer is delivering. Instead, it just hobbles along (how it remains the most watched soap is beyond me). My feelings about Y&R are very similar to how I felt about AWTW ten years ago. I watched in vain for the writers to properly use the history of the show but it never happened.
I would see the colonnade come back
Maybe she has something to do with the human trafficking/prostitution story that surely will come to a head before Mal Young’s scripts begin airing in October. Alice would already be connected to at least one major player (Sharon) in that plot.
I am liking Y&R so much again and I hope the writer shift does not disappoint.
I agree Iakovos…keep Y&R character driven.
I am liking Y&R as well. However, there are some very dull moments.
I finally figured out Jourdan’s purpose. Just when you rhetorically ask yourself,”Can this scene get any more boring?” enter Jourdan and you answer yourself,”Yes, it can.”
Oh, my God—I am so happy for this!!! Alice was a favorite of mine back in the day and I have always loved Tamara Clatterbuck. I don’t care what the story is, I am excited just to have her back!!!
I wasn’t watching then. Tell me about Alice.
Alice is the lady who adopted Moriah’s sister Cassie when Sharon had given up the girl at birth. Alice was not a good mom and she pretty much gave Cassie to her mom to raise. Long story short, Cassie was reunited with Sharon in a long, roundabout way but Alice went after Sharon and Nick (who were married at the time) for custody. She lost and Cassie was with Sharon until she died some years ago.
I think Alice is the blonde woman Zach was talking to and is the head of the prostitution ring Crystal is involved with.
She is either running or involved in the human trafficking prostitution story, which will eventually show Abby’s Design a Date App is a mere front for Johns to find the girls which means Abby new fellow is a pimp — who can’t see this coming a mile away?–maybe a bat that is blind– eyeroll—-unless Alice is undercover working for Christine and Sharon blows her cover– that is something Sharon would do– but still think Abby’s new beau is a creep— really Abs don’t you know by now the smoother the dude talks the more trouble he will be– can’t wait for the day Papa Victor beats the living daylights out of the jerk– maybe November’s sweeps– LOL
Mary…oh, I agree. There’s something about Abby’s new guy that I just don’t like. At all.
Take care, Mary.
wow i would nt want to be in his shoes when victor get a hold on him
Judy…EXACTLY!!!!! Oh…and I would LOVE for Victor to beat the living CRAP out of that creep. Bottom Line Here: That creep should be AFRAID…VERY, VERY AFRAID!!!!! Yep.
Have a good one, Judy.
do you watch days of our lives it getting good wow. I think that will happened would love for that to come to pass you cant fool victor for long
I somehow think she is going to be part of this sex ring storyline wait until she sees Mariah!!!! I am sure Sharon Case is thrilled since hey are best buddies off screen.
You might say a little prayer for Texas we have a lot of friends there it is devasting I lived in Houston for five years I pray for those people who have lost everything heart breaking and Washington do me and the rest of Americans a favor stop making it political roll up your sleeves and help as Americans
Sorry k, this is a horrible tragedy. I pray for all the victims and hope they have the strength to rebuild!
Kay, Houston and all of the Texas coast and people that are there to help have been in my prayer’s, so devastating.
I live in austin and it bad all long the cost we do need to pray for all the peope who live down there we had 10” here in austin and also think she is part of the sex ring
That Zack is a creep he does have somthing to do with the sex ring too Abby better watch her stop
Alice is back because she is running the prostitution business of young runaway girls!!!
i think she’s involved with the sex ring. she might be the blonde woman Zack was talking to
Now, this is truly out of the blue. Why is Alice back? No rhyme or reason. Cassie is dead.
Hmmmmm. Does she come in peace? Is she part of the prostitution “gala”? LOL.
I believe Alice is the woman running the prostitution ring and her main man is Zack who gets the John’s through that dating service. Wasn’t it last week that Tessa asked Zack for help finding her little sister? Now if Zack goes back and tell the Madame Alice you know they won’t let the sister go now that she has met and would identify Alice. Just a thought.
Absolutely, Nikki, my friend. You and I are always in sync.
If you remember, Zach and Tessa appeared on stage not too far apart from each other.
First time I set eyes on Zach, I said there was something fishy about him and that Tessa knew him. I did not trust Tessa either. I even joked about it and said she was another one of Nikki’s “lost” children, come to share the Newman bounty.
She and Zach could be children she had with Ian Ward. He probably had Nikki so doped up, she gave birth without realizing it. LOL. Well, why not. It’s a soap.
Somehow, these ‘newcomers’ are all linked….and, the target is Victor and family.
I also suggested Zach used the dating service as a facade weeks ago, when he and Abby started talking about it.
But, my friend; another of out fellow-posters ( can’t remember who) shut me right down saying that my theory did not make sense because Zach and Tessa did not appear at the exact same time, or something to that effect.
Well, who was I to argue??? LOL.
As we can see, this is turning into a full-blown, serious “entrepreneurship”.
Furthermore, it would not surprise me, at all, if Ian Ward concocted the entire lurid operation.
So happy to see Alice back. I hope she stays and changes into a nice person if she is involved in this sex ring. Jack and Cane need a new love interest. She would be perfect with Jack.
Did not watch when this character was on. So she is trouble? I do see her andJack together. I loath Phyllis and Gloria. AND, you know the Mustache always gets the stripper!
Hi, Timmmy,
I was a tween when Y&R introduced Alice….I loved this show so much, I remember most of what happened.
Alice was a disturbed woman who happened to adopt Cassie ( how she came to adopt her is kind of fuzzy) . Alice would, more oft than not, “take” herself to town. Obviously I had no clue then what she was doing with her time in town, LOL…….I just felt sorry for the little girl.
Alice would leave Cassie with her mother, who was elderly, so Cassie was left to her own devices. I think she had one toy; a doll.
Alice was not bad; she was just troubled….
Sharon decided to look for the baby she had given up. I remember there was a custody-court-battle where Michael had not crossed over to the “good” side yet—he represented Alice, and Cricket represented Sharon, who won…..I think you know the rest?? LOL.
Hiyahh, Nikki,
I agree…hope she turned a new leaf….but, as I said about Zach ( which someone poo-pooed all over my theory) she may be involved with him and the massive “pimping” out young girls, invading PC. LOL.
Seriously, though, I’ve always liked Tamara….great actress…..this should prove very intriguing.
Instead of thinking negatively, perhaps she’s Crystal’s mother?…..Tessa’s stepmom?….come to the rescue?
I meant GC…forgive me.
PS…
Hey again, Nikki….or may be she’s associated with Ian Ward?? LOL.
Cassie is alive and Alice has been keeping it a secret.
NO. Maybe on GH but not on Y&R.
WOW!!!!!! Good one, Lou. I love it !
To go a bit further, Lou…..Cassie is alive and she is really the master-mind of the prostitution business. LOL.
Cassie as a pimp would definitely be a good plot twist .
or, Mariah really is Cassie with very longterm amnesia.
No…Dina is running it…i never trusted her-lol
@jimh, Ron and Lou—-you guys are killing me, LOL…..I like all of it!!!! Keep ’em coming.
Hey Lou…how about this: Not only is Cassie alive…Cassie vs. Mariah for TOP PIMP…lol.
Cassie for the win as head P.I.M.P.
Lou…yep. And…for some reason, if Cassie is unable to, uh, carry out her, uh, duties as ‘head P.I.M.P.’, then the runner-up (Mariah) has to step in and take over…lol.
Later, Lou.
Nah!!! Mariah ain’t got enough swag to be a P.I.M.P.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Too obvious, “a woman is taking care of the girl who called Sharon on the phone… sister to…”
I’m glad they were able to keep it a surprise. I wasn’t watching when she was on Y&R before. I did see her when she was on Days.
I’m not interested in the sex ring storyline. I laugh when I see Sharon playing “detective” and ducking down in cars trying to take photos of the “bad guys.” I’m not a fan of Tessa or Mariah, and this storyline gives them more air-time, and it’s a snooze-fest, IMO. I really only watch the show because I am a fan of Eileen Davidson, and even her storyline is like watching paint dry. Her scenes with Ravi, are boring, as he plays therapist, and their scenes at the lake house were so forced.
Agree. The scenes between Sharon and Paul are laughable.
Only in soapland, dmr. You’re right, it’s laughable. I do love Sharon; but look at what one semester of Psych-class can do to someone—-she has become a stealthier sleuth than an experienced Paul? I don’t see anyone else working this case. LOL.
Something else that doesn’t wash with me is Victor’s easy acceptance of Zach ( Zack?)……I can’t believe he hasn’t figured him out yet; being Victor and all……I do think Victor may suspect something and has an ace up his sleeve???? It’s Victor Newman, for goodness sake!! He knows everything….
I never heard of her ..
” Cassie’s adoptive mother ” she only took one?
Anyways, its good to get something new.
if she in with the trafficking I gotta say.. the online AMC did that story 10000 times better,,
Y&R version is very weak in comparison, and nothing exciting, very bland for the subject.
I agree, it is very boring. I laugh whenever I see Sharon play “detective.”
Wait, you mean you don’t just exult with cracking enthusiasm when Jourdan enters a scene like one giant cloud of boredom which sucks the oxygen out of the room?
Only took one, su? Do you mean, took one baby?
Cassie and Mariah were separated at birth. Sharon had no clue she had given birth to twins. She was told it was a single birth, Cassie, whom she gave up for adoption.
Sharon, et al, found out about Mariah at the same time as we, the viewers.
@Days of OUR Lives
@General Hospital
TAKE NOTE : Tamara Clatterbuck is the whole enchilada. a tour d force to reckon
let this be her screen test… that this lady , woman of means, yield, passion, and just overall nails every thing; she commands.
it looks to me she’s on for a story arc… and hopefully another serial will Need her immense talent , through the roof sex appeal, and the bestest energies
LOVE THIS WOMAN
i’ve decided she could return as Kristen sister… since Kristen and Peter Blake are adopted…. why not?
Days of OUR Lives
Is she a serial killer?
there are characters that should die.
do I dare hope ????????
ANYTHING to get Nick away from HELLsea and end the Victor pouting matches with Nick-ole-boy!
I’m with you T. Nick and Chelsea do not jive for me. I love Nick, but this relationship is sick….just as Ashley’s ridiculous love-fest with Ravi.
Nick and Sharon forever!!!!!
You know I admire Eric but not a fan of Victor. You’d think he’d give up controlling his kids and every situation—-what a cad—he doesn’t get his way; pouts and then kicks his son out?
I am trying to understand where this is going.
Is Victor planning to take Faith away from her parents and have her live under his dominance…..into the fold ?…..
I suppose he plans to mold Faith, as he is doing with Abby, and prepare her as the future Newman “abbess”…..Only thing? He’ll be dead before he sees her ensconced in his domain.
Of all the scheming old men on soaps, I still prefer Victor Kiriakis. I always get a kick of what comes out of his mouth…..a constant surprise!!! LOL
The ONLY reason to keep Nick and Chelsea together is for a future triangle with Adam. We will see if the new regime will consider bringing Adam back. But I am with you, Nick and Sharon forever! Victor means well but he will always want what is best for HIS idea of what best for his “Family!” The kids may not agree.
On a side note, A few weeks ago one of the Y&R episodes descriptions said Scott gets a “Makeover!” What a BLEEPING pile of crap! He shaved! Now he looks like ANNIE. So what! A makeover would have been a shave or a five o’clock shadow with a freakin major haircut! He is gross! Victor should have said to him that they are shooting promo photos or whatever it was for and tell him, no demand that he clean up his act! I wouldnt want some slug representing my company!
Have nice Labor Day. God bless.
Thank you, T…Have a great Labor Day, as well….Unlike our fellow-Ameicans in Texas and surrounding states. Bless them, Lord.
We cut our stay in “N’ Ahlins” ( New Orleans) short, as soon as Harvey showed its fangs. If everyone contributes just one dollar….goes a long way helping these strong, unfortunate but hopeful people. Their faith is so enduring, Timmmy…..What an impressive lot. All of them…the military, the police force, the coast guard, the administration and the people themselves. They have fortitude and then some.
Anyway, you describe Victor better than I could. To the “T”.. .aha! That is exactly how he operates. It will always be this way…” he will always want what is best for HIS idea of what is best for his “Family”. Truer words were never spoken, as it were. LOL.
Scott—oh, Lordy Lord. I had him all wrong. My interest in him is gone. LOL. He does have the Annie-look, sans ribbons and bows. Don’t forget Larry ( The Three Stooges)—-that’s what I thought.
I’m cracking up!!!! Poor Sharon—first she had to deal with “Steely Dan-Dyl”, now “Curly Sue-Scott”.
Later, love.
President Trump has stepped up better than any politician in recent years and has the ball rolling quite nice in Texas. BUT, no matter, he is still the gum at the bottom of many “American” citizens. He even donated a million of his own dollars and it will not be good enough! All these professionals and volunteers who have strapped on their boots, god bless them! But, in America, if your house is not floating down the roadway right now, they bitch that their coffee is too cold or someone just pulled out in front of them! Take care babe!
You’re sooo right, T. No matter what President Trump says or does, it will be malevolently criticized.
It’s not even worth mentioning.
Texas will survive……Americans will survive….we always do.
I can tell you that during our sojour in one of my favorite places on earth….New Orleans; specifically, the French Quarters, Trump has an infinite amount of supporters…but it is all for naught.
I can also tell you that I met ( at the Old Absinthe House–best place to be) many of MF’s fans.
Such inspiring ladies…..most post with aliases, LOL.
So, if you are reading this, I say ;….. “Bonjour, ca va?”
And, yes…there are many of us who only care about our own well-being. ….as long as our feet are warm, none other’s matters.
By the by, T…..did you hear the latest? Jennifer Lawrence said, publicly, that the hurricane tragedies in both Texas and Florida was Trump’s doing. The president stirred God’s ire, hence all the forces worked together to show us what supporting POTUS did.
Of all the stupid remarks having been made by these Hollywood ‘savants’, this tops them all.
Can you imagine if Ivanka or Melania had uttered such nonsense?? Would have never heard the end of it !!
Well, Jennifer Lawrence is ONE of MANY ugly Hollywood liberals that ONLY cares about themselves and their own agendas. IF they dont get their way, they cry like babies! Trump has down an amazing job so far assisting all the affected hurricane areas and it kills the Hillarybots that they cannot criticize him about THIS to! So, she has the “Brains” to stir up trouble with this ridiculous theory! She is on a long list of entertainers I will NOT spend one dime on anymore!
Well said, T….as always.
When was the line crossed that Hollywood became supreme, politically? Oprah Winfrey…only reason Obama had( still has) such a hypocritical following.
Now, they want to tear down our history. How short-sighted is that? Think about it….many of these anarchists have no American roots.
Evil existed, yes….but, these monuments, statues etc. remind us how we arrived at the good.
Might as well erase humankind. All we can do is shake our heads in disbelief at such ignorance.
It’s not as if these “entertainers” are sin-free. Some of them make our hairs stand on end with their past. Now, they are so sainted and anointed, their word is gospel? Plaeeze!!
OK…you know what: I didn’t care for the character of Alice Johnson first time around. And I already know that I won’t care for Round 2. NO, NO AND MORE NO!!!!!
Later.
Quick correction: I forgot to put the word ‘the’ in-between the words ‘Johnson and first’. My bad.
Later.
What i am going to say will not be received well but here it goes. What if Sharon does keep her head here (which i have read is what Mal Young wants for Sharon and Sharon CasSharoCase’s acting chops which she has shown time and time again with the former regime’s poor treatment) and she connects the dots, saves Newmans rep (which princess Abby wrecks), and redeems herself. I think that would be cool
Sorry i think its time
How about passing the torch to a different character to trash. With their bloated cast there are plenty of choices of folks to hate or trash. Sharon Case has more than paid her dues.
The only time Sharon was halfway interesting was when she was bipolar off the cliff.
other than that Sharon is a stale character,
Sharon is not the sharpest knife in drawer so it’s best she goes off her meds and becomes somewhat interesting again. That’s when she shines with her polar googly eyes, dear in the headlights, that’s Sharon at her best.
I agree with you as far as her being bipolar giving her more layers to work with but the writers chose to destroy her once they had Nick turn his back on Sharon during the loss of Cassie. I think Mal Young knows what a talent SC is and he wants to put her back on a more even compass which is truly the way it goes for folks who have mental illness. It’s highs and lows. I am just tired of folks hating her when there are much more nasty folks on the canvas now. Also the story being told is very relevant to now and tying Alice in allows Sharon to go back to her roots and her past. Would be nice to learn more about her past vs other characters who mean nothing to the shows history.
Sharon Case is a true professional, Vicki. She been put through the wringer–used and abuse; and slways took it with dignity and a grain of salt. More more to her…..and, an exemplary actress to boot.
I love both the character and the actress. She has weathered every situation posed before her with panache….never complaining!!
I agree…I don’t understand the personal animus for Sharon, when there are sooo many who truly should be the recipients of such resentment.
She deserves so much more than this abysmal storyline. Are TPTB preparing her for a job in the GCPD as a psychological consultant?
In a few months she will have completed an 8-12 year course of study……4 years of College and an additional 5-7 years of undergraduate work. LOL. Amazing. Only in soaps can one receive a PhD in a few months.
I hope Sharon is not a space-filler, as Nick; who is just floating right now. Nothing to do and nowhere to go.
As Timmm suggested, Nick and Chelsea are playing house awaiting Adam’s ominous return.
Correction: abused;
more power to her.
Celia that is a brilliant observation. My biggest wish is they her continue a more casual thing w Scott and let her be a free agent. Its making me nervous with Nick getting chummy with her again. Its only a matter of time before his life crumbles for a change. I hope they let her set him straight about her being her own person now. Besides its a better example for Faith and lord knows she needs it with her father and grandfather being ridiculous. Also Chelsea needs to remember WHO Faiths mother is and that all she can and will be is a friend.
Thank you, Vicki. I must say I see exactly what you see. I do want Sharon and Nick together, but Nick is in no shape to handle Chelsea’s strange relationship as it is…..imagine going back to Sharon any time soon. It would be disastrous.
You are so right, my friend. TPTB have thrown, pushed and shoved Sharon from one man to another without coming up for air. Let it and her rest.
Now that Summer is pretty much over, I think that it’s time now for ‘Charlie’ and ‘Maddie’ to go back to Central Casting (or wherever they came from)…lol.
Hey…just saying……….
I totally agree!!
I can’t get into these kids, Jay……so, I agree. The entire family is ‘dislicated’—kids too old, parents too young, and please send Cane packing with them.
I said this before…..no 15-year old girl dresses like Maddie—even the extra-smart ones—braids on either side of her head? Really. What is this? Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farms?
Dislocated…oops
Hi Celia. OK…a few things here…
1. Cane and Lily (Cane, especially) are RIDICULOUS EMBARRASSMENTS as parents!!!!! Y-u-c-k.
2. Turning Charlie and Maddie into teenagers ‘overnight’ is the WORST CASE OF SORAS E-V-E-R!!!!! Again…yuck.
3. To me, Charlie is nothing but an ANNOYING DORK-FEST!!!!! Total teenage DRECK.
4. ‘Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farms’…love it…lol. Furthermore, I know women in their 50’s and 60’s who dress WAY BETTER than Maddie…SERIOUSLY!!!!!
5. Most of all, time now for Charlie and Maddie to go far, far, far away. And, yes…that HENPECKED MORON Cane can follow them right on out the door. SAYONARA!!!!!!!!!!
Later, my friend.
OK…you know what: If that SKANKY Alice I-S a part of that prostitution ring (which wouldn’t surprise me), then Alice is still the same SELFISH AND SELF-CENTERED PIECE OF TRASH that she’s always been!!!!! BEYOND DISGUSTING!!!!!
Later.
She’s gotten worse, Jay. Alice was always flighty, but not evil. Even now, after this abhorrent, prurient behavior, I do believe she thinks she is protecting these girls. They are runaways…..therefore, in her distorted view, Alice may perceive this life, under her “tutelage” a safer haven from a life in the streets ot under a bridge.
Alice may be a sleeze with a heart?
Celia…I’m sorry but I think that Alice is strictly out for HERSELF aka SAME OLD ALICE!!!!! But, that’s just me. Yep.
Later, my friend.
Yeah, you’re probably right, Jay, otherwise she would not embroil herself in such lurid activity towards young girls.
I always try to find the good, LOL….but certain people, real or ficticious, cannot walk a straight line, no matter what.
Later, my friend.
Celia, agree with most of your insightful comments. I wondered as you did, about Victor not delving deeper into Zack’s background. Also I feel that Alice thinks she’s looking out for these girls.I just don’t get, how she can accept and look the other way, knowing what they are being made to do. I like the undercover theory, but not convinced. I can’t wait for her to see Marian. That could be her undoing.
Earlier today, after watching today’s new episode of Y&R, something occurred to me: If the show is trying to turn Reed and Maddie into, oh, say, Romeo and Juliet 2017, then Y&R themselves are WAY OFF THE MARK here!!!!! I mean…Reed and Maddie clearly look VERY, VERY RIDICULOUS together!!!!! And, besides, there’s already a character named Juliet on the show…the chick that wrecked Cane and Lily’s LAME-ASS MARRIAGE!!!!!
Hey…just saying……….
OK…you know what: That TOTALLY LAME prostitution ring storyline seems to be winding down (or whatever). So, why, oh, why is that ICKY AND ANNOYING SLEAZE-O Zack STILL on Y&R?!?!?!?!?! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!!
Just saying……….

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
