Thaao Penghlis as Victor Cassadine Returns to General Hospital! What Were Your First Impressions?

On Friday’s episode of General Hospital, Thaao Penghlis returned to his role of Victor Cassadine on the ABC soap opera after decades!
Victor’s return coincides with Robin’s (Kimberly McCullough) exit storyline! And as we learned on Friday, it seems that Victor wants Robin to thaw out Helena and Stavros Cassadine and bring them back to life, especially since she did such a great job finding the cure for polonium poisoning!
We also learned that Victor is somehow in charge of the WSB! And it was he who pardoned Dr. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) of all charges which allowed her to become the Chief of Staff at GH! Oh, the villains tangled web they weave!

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sonny Tells Dante, “I Don’t Want a Son Like You,” While Michael Tells Brook Lynn to Bide Her Time Till Chase and Willow Have an Affair
On the Thursday, October 1 episode of General Hospital, both Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) had some things to say and what they had to say didn’t go over well with whom they were talking to!
Sonny had a confrontation with his son, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), while Michael leveled with Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) over Chase (Josh Swickard).
GH is setting up a scenario where everyone is going to make it look like Sonny was responsible for having Sidwell (Carlo Rota) beat up in Pentonville; while viewers already know Ava (Maura West) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) were behind it.

A VISIT WITH DAD
Now, Dante comes to Sonny’s house. He wants to know straight up from his dad if he ordered the attack at Pentonville. Sonny flatly denies any culpability or responsibility, but Dante refuses to believe him.
Dante informs Sonny he has video footage of Sully and Vito at the prison. Sonny explains to Dante he doesn’t know why Sully beat up both Curtis and Dante. Things escalated when Sonny was deeply hurt that Dante refused to believe him. Dante says he was disappointed that his father didn’t respect him enough to be truthful with him!
Sonny asks Dante to consider that he was being set up. He says all he did was to tell Vito to instruct Sully to keep a watchful eye on Sidwell, not to harm him. No matter what Sonny said, Dante continued hammering him with how he knew deep down, even though he said he left the mob, he had to finish off Sidwell for himself.
Next, Sonny explains everything he has ever done was to provide for and to protect his family. Dante fired back that he doesn’t want to deal anymore with Sonny’s half-baked truths. As the two men argue, Gio (Giovanni Mazza) shows up at Sonny’s front door and overhears Sonny losing his temper and shouting at Dante, “Get out of my house! I don’t want a son like you!” The scenes featured an excellent performance by Maurice Benard.

MICHAEL THE MANIPULATOR
While this is going down, outside the Quartermaine boathouse, Brook Lynn opens up to Michael about living at the Q’s with Chase being there, since he only came back due to legal advice from his lawyer, Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard).
Brook Lynn questioned whether they should get legally separate. Michael insisted that would be a big mistake. When she asks why, Michael tells Brook Lynn to bide her time until Chase and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) have an affair; then she’d have full custody of Phoebe.
An angered Brook Lynn pushed Michael into the water and accuses him of moving Willow back into the gatehouse with intent on putting Chase and Willow in closer proximity and sacrificing Brook Lynn’s family in the process. As the two cousins bicker, Chase shows up asking Brook Lynn if she is OK. Michael punctuates their talk with “You know, I’m right.”
CURTIS FIGURES OUT A WAY TO GET OUT OF THE SLAMMER
At GH, Willow visits Curtis (Donnell Turner) in his hospital room. Curtis wants Willow to get him pardoned and keep him out of jail, and in return, he will help her nail Sonny.
Next, Willow tells Dr. Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer) she wants Curtis held for observation for three more days. He agrees to do so under one condition, that she understands that he may need to call in a favor from a congresswoman.

GH Alum Tajh Bellow and Y&R Alum Loren Lott Star in New Tiktok and Microdrama ‘Love Island’ Spoof
Two soap opera alums very familiar to fans of General Hospital and The Young and the Restless are paired together in a new short-form digital series from none other than Issa Rae’s production entity HOORAE Digital.
Look for Tajh Bellow (ex-TJ Ashford, GH)) and Loren Lott (ex-Ana Hamilton, Y&R) as part of the cast of The Compatibility Experiment, premiering on October 14, 2026, exclusively on TikTok and its companion microdrama platform, PineDrama.
In the video teaser, it appears that Bellow and Lott play a couple, Kelvin and Camila, set in a Love Island reality show-esque environment trying to win the one million dollar cash prize, only what could go wrong?

The Compatibility Experiment loglines share that it brings a fast-paced, relationship-focused reality check—much like Love Island with a twist. The show takes a participant’s current relationship, introduces them to a potentially more compatible partner, and forces them to navigate the differences with life-changing money on the line.
The new series is part of a groundbreaking content deal between HOORAE Digital and TikTok to develop premium short-form storytelling. The ensemble cast also features; Ayona, Reggie Luck, JaNa Craig, Tosin Morohunfola, Jessica Jacoby, Georgia Warner, and Nick Cassidy.
General Hospital fans know Tajh Bellow for his performances as TJ Ashford, and who earned two Daytime Emmy nominations along the way during his run. Bellow took over the role in 2018 and last appeared on the ABC daytime drama series in December of 2024.
Loren Lott first appeared as Devon’s (Bryton James) sister Ana Hamilton on The Young and the Restless from 2018 to 2019; making a brief return in 2024. She has continued to perform on the stage and screen with recent credits including: Bel-Air, Cherish the Day, and All American: Homecoming.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Ava and Drew Revealed to be Behind Framing Sonny for Sidwell’s Prison Beatdown
If you thought that the person responsible for the Pentonville brawl that saw Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) taken to General Hospital was Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) or even Sidwell himself, you were dead wrong! On the Wednesday, September 30 episode of GH, it turned out that the culprits were actually Ava (Maura West) and Drew (Cameron Mathison).
In story, Drew apparently bankrolled the attack on Sidwell and framing Sonny. He told Ava their planned worked (she came up with it!) but was horrified when Drew informed her that Curtis got caught in the crosshairs. Ava is visibly upset because of her longtime friendship with Curtis’ daughter, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). Drew tried to make Ava see the bright side. Curtis was witness to it and his presence will cast doubt on Sonny’s claims to that he had gotten out of the mob and gone legit.
Later, Vito shows up at Drew’s. They informed him that his guy on the inside of the slammer made a big mistake by hurting their friend and ordered him to leave town.

BOATHOUSE BRAWL
In other major developments, Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Rocco (Finn Carr) have a blow out fight as Danny blames his “brother” for the reason Charlotte was sent off to boarding school.
Rocco told off Danny for Charlotte’s (Bluesy Burke) reckless behavior and he explains he had to protect his sister. He went in on Danny saying that his mother Lulu (Alexa Havins) has been right to send Charlotte to boarding school and far away from Danny.
However, Rocco went a bit too far when he shouted, “And if your mom was alive, she would send you away too!” Next, Danny punched out Rocco, leading to a terrible brawl. An angered Danny yells at Rocco to, “Stay away from me and everyone in my family. And don’t you ever mention my mom again!” Danny storms off.

Now alone outside the boathouse, Rocco flashes back to his first kiss with Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarksi), hoping that his fight with Danny will not escalate and ruin their budding romance. Meanwhile, a bloodied-mouth Danny heads over to Sonny’s and Jason (Steve Burton) is there at the same time. He then admits that he has a bad fight with Rocco and they are both beaten up.
WILL SCOUT WISE UP?
At the end of the episode, Scout, who had a fight with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) over Drew, and who keeps telling everyone how good a man her dad truly is, comes upon a suspicious scene.
Scout hides behind the wall outside Drew’s. She sees her dad, Ava and Vito talking. Next, Scout seems to overhear Vito assuring Drew and Ava that their business dealings are done, and he’ll be leaving Port Charles for good.

Story seems a bit lame for robin to exit the canvas
Lame’s a good word for it. And where did this Cassadine crawl out from? I actually thought the actor playing this clown was Tristin Rogers. Take the glasses off him, lighten the hair… hmm, I thought it was Tristin playing this role for a laugh. Disappointing that Kimberly’s return to GH is this short. I appreciate the storylines moving faster on GH, but the reunion with her family being this short is a bummer.
How could you possibly mistake Thaao Penghlis for Tristan Rogers? Go figure. Thaao is one of the best actors that has ever graced the land of suds, thus our TV screen. He will be just as extraordinary as Victor Cassadine on GH as he was Tony DiMera on DOOL for years.
I was sure it was Tristan Rogers also, Max. I’m not impressed, so far, My Sherona, whether Tristan or Thaao – I thought it was somewhat hokey and humerous, if it was Tristan in disguise, but to find out it isn’t just makes me wonder why bother??? Lame, I agree, Max. And why even bring Robin back at this point if she’s not staying? What’s up, GH writers?
Getting comical and cartoonish…a bit much for me at the moment.
As much as Ron writing can be great and awesomely entertaining, It can get extremely cartoonish just like it did over at OLTL..I agree with you..Its getting tiresome these ridiculous over the top stories.
Thanks @Omar. And on that note all I can say is R.I.P. James E. Reilly. You came up with some wicked stuff and brought us Passions because that is the true vision he had for his type of show. RC please stop channeling Mr.Reilly and get on with the business of telling more grounded stories with a VERY occasional where’d that come from arc. You cannot ask viewers to suspend their imagination..then construct a suspension bridge in their mind that carries on to infinity.
I would love to see Stefan Cassadine played by Stephen Nichols come back for sure. The original Stefan was fantastic, a combo of the good and bad side of the Cassadines.

I love that Victor is back but I wish they gave him a storyline that did not involve bringing back Helena and Stavros. I enjoyed the work of the actors who played those two powerful villains but I think GH need to show the Casadines can be killed. I keep hearing rumors of a young Casadine heiress to be added to the show but no official word.
It’s great! Now all we need is for them to unfreeze his brother, Tony! He was one of my faves! Is Andre Landzaat, who played him, available?
First impression was why did he dye his hair with shoe polish?
OMG, Daisy! I thought the same thing. I also thought that about Richard Simmons. I don’t want to be men about this, but Thaao is a great actor. The bad hair dye is a distraction. He is fabulous enough to be totally gray or bald and pull off whatever he does. The dye-job is just not appealing and I wish he/they had made a different decision.

I doubt Robins exit means Patrick will go back to Sabrina…this time he knows Robin is alive but he will be noble and be there for the baby! Is Thao just making guest appearances! Whats with the sci fi storyline…RC thinks this is Dr. Who? lol
I wish– Dr Who is a wonderfully written science fiction show that doesn’t insult the viewer’s intelligence; RC’s sci fi is just hokey and ask viewers to shallow a lot of BS. I know sometimes in order to make a premise work a writer might ask viewers to stretch their imagination — but with this story line, starting with Dr. O being made head of GH and Victor going from master criminal to the head of the WSB, to Robin being forced to figure out how to raise the dead from a frozen state to her lucky frog charm, which I am sure will be very important some day–will be a bit too much for even the most liberal of soap viewer– I like some action in my soaps at times, but realism not something a two year old would think up. I thought RC jumped the shark with the vampire story last year, but that made more sense than this one.
I always said RC is the best thing to happen to GH but some of his farfetched storylines for a show that is supposed to be about a hospital is getting to be a bit too much! He needs to get the show at least a little more grounded!!!
Next Ron C will probably turn Nikolaus into a comic book superhero who’ll fight against the shows evil villains…he has the mansion and a trusting butler named Alfred…so im guessing Nik will turn into BATMAN!!! And i bet Felix would love to be his Robin and live at the mansion with him…lol
Nikolaus can’t be BATMAN! He has to be whatever the Marvel comics version is since Disney OWNS Marvel comics…IRON MAN??
Dr.O and Victor were former lovers(makes sense 4 why he’d want her head of the hospital) and maybe Britt is really a Cassidine…Niks her cousin? They will break up and Nik and Liz will become a couple?(especially if she tells him Ben is Lulus and Dantes) When Robin disappears Patrick will think Robin left him because Sabrina is pregnant with his child? Thats just a guess from watching todays episode!!!
I had the same thought when I saw those scenes that maybe Britt is a Cassidine — but she wouldn’t be first cousins with Nik. She would be first cousins with Nik’s father- because Nik’s grandfather and Victor were brothers. I think second cousins are allowed —- want Britt and Nik together– would rather see Patrick and Liz hook up after Robin leaves– I think Sabrina lying about the baby has tarnish her image with him– Liz seems like a good fit for him. It seems like a plausible reason for Robin to ‘take off’ Not sure how they will justify her leaving Emma again for that reason– unless they plan for her to take Emma with her. I guess we will find out soon.
Yeah, i too believe Liz and Patrick would make a good pairing…just wish RC would read these sites and write the show the way some of us fans would like it to be…guess thats just wishful thinking. Thanks 4 reply!!!
And here is another vote for Patrick and Liz….not that our opinions seem to matter!!!!! By the looks of things, “Cartini” seem hellbent on once again forcing the “Putrina” pairing with that pathetic pregnancy, no matter how much we doth protest. The past few days were unbearable with Sobby’s weeping, whining and whinging…her ongoing melodrama is ruining an otherwise fun February. And if her histrionics weren’t bad enough, she once again also had her lapdog Felix at her beck and call, as always to the detriment of his own personal life. I so hope Lucas finally lands Brad for his own, and Nurse DuBois can just go home and be manny to Sappy’s spawn since his only purpose in life appears to be his ridiculous obsession with the babymama! As for Liz, I truly want to see her get a meaty storyline, but becoming Felix’s partner in busybodying is hardly the role she deserves. Give her Patrick so she can stop having to do Cinderbrina’s bidding with him…it’s about time!!!!
Loving seeing Thaao back on daytime where he belongs!!! It has been too long since DAYS OF OUR LIVES; and I’m looking forward to seeing how Victor Cassadine will shake up Port Charles!

I enjoyed Thaao’s return as Victor Cassadine. Being in charge of the WSB brings a new spin to the Cassadines. And the entrance of Victor, , scenes with Robin were the highlight’s of Friday’s episode of GH
I was overjoyed to see Thaao back on my screen. I’ve hoped for years to see him again. I can even put up with “soap logic” for the story. Pardoning Liesl is ludicrous of course, but Kathleen Gati is so fun as Liesl and disturbing the hospital’s doctors makes the hospital scenes more fun.
I didn’t watch for 10 years or so when the mob was front and center. I have been back for the 50th anniversary viewing and I will be staying. It’s pure escape and fun for the most part. I still roll my eyes at some things on different days, but I’m enjoying the overall fun of it. I’m grateful for the switch-up in story telling. The mob is still on the canvas but it doesn’t feel center stage. Hopefully it stays this way.
I’m enjoying the pop-up visits of characters like Delia. I’d rather have them for a short time than bring on someone who doesn’t get a story, or worse, a BAD story. Right now I’m able to roll with the fun AND the eye-rolling.
I agree, like you, I didn’t watch for several years but tuned in to see the 50th anniversary episodes . That is how long I’ve been a fan of GH.

Is this the part where we as “soap” fans must suspend with some reality an take in the unrealistic crap they are feeding us? Orbecht head of GH n victor cassadine head if the wsb, why not make sonny or Julian the head of the police department ? Something’s just don’t fly yet with RC we have to go for this unfortunate tale and it’s not always the joy ride he thinks it is. Now we got to take the tale of thawing the dead. 2014 must be the year of the of the unrealistic storytelling .. Ps How much longer do we have of the heather story to go? I’m beyond bored of that crap!!

Not certain how a convicted criminal ends up as the head of the WSB— I suppose the WSB could use less than legal means to their end of world security, but this is stretching it a bit thin— I like the actor, glad to see him back on daytime— but I could see how some might find this character and his desire to raise dead but not dead relatives back life a bit absurd.
Thaao was pitch perfect in his portrayal of Victor Cassadine . He played the smooth criminal with aplomb. He slipped back into the character effortlessly. The man turned on the switch and was back at work in his office. He owned that character and owned that scene!! Bravo Mr. Penghlis!!!
Homerun! Its a shame that Laura, Robert, Holly are not around. Luke will have his hands full.

Sorry Patrick, but Days cannot have this particular DiMera back….we need to keep Victor right in Port Charles….his grand re-entrance on the GH canvas has been a magnificent treat, as well as his obvious enchantment and history with our beloved Dr. O. What a pair these two will make….their coupling should be the highlight of things to come. Such a palpable chemistry between them…..
He is Tony Dimera, and he belongs to DAYS now. He should go back there when Kristen returns.
It was like he never left! Fit right back in….the show needs his energy and charm….and he commands the scenes he is in. Maybe the new kids can learn from him as well. Keep him on or you’ll make a lot of fans upset
Mostly, all I could think was that he’d cornered the market in Black hair dye #5.
Can these stories get any more ridiculous. This show has gone down the crapper for me. The stories are so non believable any more I just FF through the whole show. So dissapointed.

I enjoy the fiction/make believe and I never take any soap seriously 🙂 watching a soap should be somewhat fun and entertaining..
Perhaps a documentary would be the best for people who do not like fantasy, fiction.. 🙂
I enjoy soaps 100 percent and up to the advent of the PC Freezing and Lasa Fever which was in it’s own right a good story(Poor Jeremy)-soaps were always based in reality and the things people would do as their characters to get the things or person they wanted. That still holds true today for the British soaps and we’ve all watched EastEnders in the U.S. unless you lived under a rock. When a soap ventures into the land of scientific weird and unreal I wish it was like this reality…It needs to STAY THERE…and tell stories from that point on. Don’t use novelty storytelling to draw people in because even the most avid/jaded of viewers will tune out in droves. IJS.
Think it is a great story line… Love the Cassadine storyline over the over used mob story lines. Don’t get me wrong Ice Princess far fetched but other stories been great. Thaao great actor with Dark Good Looks can’t believe he is in late 60s DANG
Love that the Cassadines are back – I so enjoy these story lines over the over used mob arcs. Don’t get me wrong Ice Princess one a little far fetch. Thaao is an awesome actor and his dark feature good looks is just a great bonus….Can’t believe he is in his late 60’s.

However… I have to say that I loved the scenes with Robert/Tristan saying good bye to Anna and Robin and Patrick and Emma!!! I sooooooo wish Tristan were not leaving… The Scorpios are sheer gold!!! Anna/Finola and Robert/Tristan still have such great chemistry and I so want the end game to be for them to be together again. Such a missed opportunity to have Robert there with Anna to fight Victor and his plans for the WSB and Port Charles!!! Would really like to see Frisco if we can’t have Robert!!!

So true, Heidi! To not have Scorpio as part of this storyline just seems so wrong…his absence is already striking and sad. Really hated to see him go! As for Thaao, welcome back Victor Cassadine! His newfound-presence in Port Charles has added a sorely-needed shot of sophistication and gravitas to the show, and the foreshadowed rekindled relationship with Liesl will give a new meaning to the term “supercouple!” Speaking of Dr. O., she looked smashing during her visit to Wyndemere…quite fetching! Her wardrobe and style have really been stepped up as of late…so glad for Kathleen Gati to be given a more prominent role…she is a tremendous talent and delivers her lines with such aplomb and relish!!! Cannot wait for more of her romance with Victor, not to mention those killer one-liners!!!! In terms of your suggestion that Jack Wagner return to take over for Tristan Rogers, fabulous idea!!!! Particularly since he was actually referred to by Victor the other day as “the great Frisco Jones.” First time his name has been uttered in months without derision!!!! About time…..

I love the rollicking storylines but then I want them to settle down, not to cross the line into “just plain weird.” Freezing people and thawing them and having goes one is “just plain weird.”
I am disappointed that we finally got a reunion for Robin and her family and now have no opportunity to enjoy it long term, even months.
I hope the hijinks will begin to slow down soon but it does not seem they will.
Could there even be a better exit than discovering that Jason (Steve Burton) is alive?!
I think there is some nice symmetry if this is prepping an exit story. She risked her life to save Jason last time, so if she was going to do it again for anyone other than her family, Jason is a good choice.
I love having Thaao back, and he is the head of the WSB, LOL cant wait to see how this unfolds. love his smile and having him back is wonderful. Wait until Anna and Luke see him. And Alexis will be shocked to say the least.
I LOVED Thaao Penghlis on Friday’s show, he can play evil so well. He was great as Tony and Andre on DAYS and I think GH’s move to bring Victor back was brilliant, it sets up Robin’s exit well and gives reason to why the psychotic but hilarious Dr. O is Chief of staff at the hospital. Love it! February Sweeps should be awesome!

Thaao has done an excellent job thus far. I don’t know why it took so many GH regimes to get him back after almost 33 years but I’m glad they did. He’s added a certain gravitas to GH that was sorely lacking. I must say that his portrayal of Victor is far more nuanced than his original portrayal back in 1981. So far he seems to be playing Victor Cassadine again not Tony or Andre’ DiMera.
I was very excited to see Victor after so many yrs but is there going to be an explanation on why he isn’t dead along with his brothers Mikos & Tony. Are they going to be the next Cassadines coming back from the dead as well. GH has to many stories on the canvas and nothing getting resolved. Lets try to end something. I feel Victors return is going to be a big disappointment like others that have come and gone way to fast.
Victor was never dead— just in prison– and now he is the head of the WSB– kinda gives super villains all over the soap world something to strive for LOL.
First, the man has to tone down those pearly whites! Hahaha…Blinded me with science…but I digress….
I love it! Yeah, it’s sort of recycling days of GH yore but I think it’s great! Just has nostalgic vibe from days gone by. Not sure why Kimberly said that the fans would hate her reason for leaving…seems thus far (well, as far as Friday’s episode; haven’t seen today’s yet) that she’s being kidnapped once again. Since she’s leaving…there really was no way to rationalize why she would leave of her own accord so I thinki it’s a brilliant way to bring back more Cassadine’s and pave the way for Robn’s exit (and probably return).
Love crazy Stavros! Hope they actually do bring him back…though I assume if they do it’s going to take as long as it take to let Robin go free…unless they keep her locked up for future resurrections!
If they did bring back Stavros that would be fantastic fun; he’d probably still be obsessed with Lulu, and all the mayhem that would bring. Not to mention his revenge on Nic/his son…the entanglement of Obrecht, Britt, Helena etc.
As for Victor Cassadine…’fraid I don’t remember actually ever seeing this character! Of course I’ve hieard his name…but I don’t really know if I wasn’t watching back then or ir I was an on/off viewer. Not really sure…

Well you can never trust secret agents. Im glad theres new things coming if they would close some of the other story lines that would be great. Definitely fed up with the baby thing no one ever knows whos baby belongs to whom until the kids a year old or more thats so old GH has more mix ups than any other soap in history. Cassidines are always good for intrigue but really stavros has been resurrected more times than dracula get over it. Hope Jason does come back but only if its steve burton. Thaao is an excellent actor welcome back.

Thaao is the VERY reason I STARTED watching a soap again. #GH He as an actor is AMAZING! Just when you think you have something figured out , HE takes it to a WHOLE new level. He is DELICIOUSLY wicked- and makes you DESIRE more! Also As an actor- he gives back to his fans- I know this because he did for me- and helped my community in #MAINE for #breastcancer. I was watching Thaao on GH when my son, who hadn’t been home in awhile and had returned from the military, and he was passing by while I was watching and he squeeled with delight ‘Tony! He’s back?’…I never ever watched GH, only Days so I giggled when he said that. Anyway, Im not a GH viewer, but I did tune in to see Thaao…and he was delightful! I loved seeing him on the screen again. His absence from tv has been painful, he is a very talented actor and I have missed him dearly. I would def continue to watch him on GH, and I think that is saying a lot from a person who never watched that show before. If he has that power to bring in new viewers then GH should expand his role to a permanent one. He is the only reason I would watch GH. If he leaves, I leave. I would prefer him on Days but sadly I don’t think there is a way to bring him back, his Tony was killed in a way that can never bring him back. 🙁

You do realize that the show had to write Robin out again since the actress Kimberly Mccullough is choosing to leave again. Would you have rather they not bring her back at all?
I know Kim was only there for a while,but so did they. There was a lot ,more time for her to be put with her family instead we get Tristan let go, Robin leaving to save the killer for hire, leaving her daughtrer who she was just returned to. It seemed no one wanted to know what she went through.All FrankenRon did was the bait and switch for the ratings. RC actually said on line she had three squares and a cot? Didn’t mention the lobotomy. Think he had one at the same time if he thinks turning Robin into not mother of the year, will not hate Robin but RC and Frank I am not very fond of any more. A lot of boards think maybe Guza wasn’t so bad after all me I would never watch if Guza returned but tiic of the show now make me wonder if the show is worth it.JMO
Victor Cassadine’s return last Friday didn’t blow me away or anything, but I’d rather watch him than Sonny and his thugs.
It was so exciting to see Thaao Penghlis return to daytime and Genetal Hospital. And what a return it was! His entrance was perfection. The sound of that voice made you go yes it’s him before even seeing him. Thaao always commands a presence and owns every scene he is in. I am hoping Victor and Dr Obrecht can get together for some deliciously evil fun. Let’s hope Victor can stay around for awhile. Thaao brings that extra level of excitement to the show.
I was hoping Robin would go out of town for a job related to her research and call in occasionally. For Victor, I was hoping Robert to be involved. This was the Big story RC had planned for TR. Now, the only ones that know who Victor is Luke. (Where is Laura?) Anna is too busy with Julian.
Can someone tell RC we don’t want GH turned into a sci fi show! This is a ridiculous plot reviving the dead . Victor as the head of the wsb is a joke , Dr. O as chief of staff is a joke, heather running around loose is a joke and turning Anna into an incompetent cop that can’t catch a criminal or solve a crime is beyond insulting. I hope RC doesn’t think of us as idiots with these unbalanced storyline. I’m all for a little camp here n there as long as it’s done intelligently but this stuff he’s throwing out for us to swallow is crap. I’m all for victor or dr o n heather being around but their stories right now don’t pass with me, remember mostly women watch these show and there’s not enough women that are played as smart an kick ass as Anna was don’t dumb her down for plot sake, Anna needs to have a kick ass police force that the mob needs to be worry of not one they laugh at.

i’m not speaking for 100% of the audience su0000, i know everyone has different taste, but what ever percentage its out there i’m sure not everyone loves the fiction aspect of it. i know its a soap and i’m glad alot of the characters have been brought back from the dead but theres already enough characters back from the dead. in my book, real drama trumps cartoon drama any day of the week.
Sorry, there is no successful technology for reviving the dead. Cryogenics doesn’t work. Freezing the body causes ice crystals to form which burst open the cells causing immediate death. It’s still a pipe dream, as much a pipe dream as harvesting Erica’s embryo on AMC was.
But you’re right, too, if done well it doesn’t have to be realistic, since the shows aren’t docudramas. For example, David Hayward’s “revivals” on AMC at the end of the show were mostly accepted. Just as these may be.
My problem with GH isn’t these sorts of things. It’s that, for me – and others, obviously – the human emotion and interaction has taken a backseat to spectacle and camp.
That’s not what I watch for, at least not long term. But that’s me.

The Victor reveal was high camp -and I was screaming ‘NO, they WOULDN’T” when we got the Luke reveal — it’s the kind of thing that I used to love when I first watched soaps as a kid. But I was always more a “Soap” fan than a “Dynasty” fan. I want Laura to big revealed to be a big bad wrecking revenge on both her former husbands. 🙂

I haven’t watched GH in years, but with Thaao Penghlis’ return, I was sure not to miss it. I have missed watching Thaao on my TV screen since he left Days, and am so happy to see him return to daytime! He is such an amazing actor, as well as an amazing human being, and I loved watching him command his scenes! As long as Thaao remains on GH, I will be sure to watch!

As much as I love the history of the Cassadines’s being back on canvas-I think the storyline is ridiculous-bringing back more people from the dead. if that were the case, why wouldn’t Robin be able to bring back Stone??? It’s ludicrous. The only characters I am really enjoying are the Jeromes-Ava and Julian. Anna’s scenes with both Duke and Robert recently rocked, too! Going to miss Robert.
These story lines are getting ridiculous — always bringing Helena back and Starvos -need some new material —– not happy that ‘Robin is leaving again and get rid of Heather already that story line has been played out…
