Thaao Penghlis Taping Again At General Hospital!
Thaao Penghlis apparently isn’t done at General Hospital! The actor who recently reprised his role of Victor Cassadine and helped usher out of story, Kimberly McCullough’s Dr. Robin Scorpio Drake, tweeted there is so more Vic to come!
According to Penghlis, he will be taping again on March 31st and the actor offered up a little tease too!
Thaao tweeted, “I just was asked back on GH on the 31st. So happy to announce. Oh what disturbances & romance will be taking place. Hullo Spencer!”
So is Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Brenchel) going to enlist Victor to help him win Emma’s (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) heart once and for all? Is Victor going to try to rekindle his former romance with Dr. O (Kathleen Gati)? Is he coming back to do work with some other nefarious criminals in Port Chuck? Is he going to pay Patrick (Jason Thompson) a visit and update him on Robin? Let us know what will bring Victor back to GH?

In the Daytime Drama series categories, CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless each scored 12 nominations more than any other show. Leading the acting nominations was B&B, who landed 7 performers in the various categories, a first in its 37-year history.

Y&R’s Hayley Erin Previews Her Role in Horror-Thriller ‘New Life’
Just so happy he is coming back… and if Sharon Wyatt is also missed, and I wish her all the best, and hope she will act again.
Victor is wealthy and could be behind the Jeromes…maybe its Victor and not Jerry posing as Luke?(or was Vic on at the same time as weird Luke)…Luke acts more like Victor than Jerry…i would love a Victor and Dr.O pairing, and i still think Victor is Nathans real father…perhaps Victor will run into Madeline?
Characters on this show disappear for weeks…Mac and Felicia for example(hope Maxis return changes that)…so i just assume Victor was still part of the show anyway!!!
There are too many recurring characters, the core, legacy characters and families get lost in the shuffle. Instead of bringing on even more recurring, useless characters, the writers should focus on the history of the show. I love having the Cassadines back. Love Victor and his scenes with Dr. Obrecht sp). Characters I could do without-Kiki, Brad, Carlos, to name a few.
dmr…i agree with most you said…however, Lauren(hate Kiki) was a little interesting with fake Luke hitting on her!!!
Don’t see how “Luke” is acting like Victor in any way, shape or form. Mr. Cassadine is refined, erudite and a total class act, despite being a dangerous villain!!!! Whoever is portraying Spencer is such a reprobate that he cannot contain his own vile impulses to even protect his ruse….it’s almost as if he doesn’t want to be convincing as the real Luke, unless he also intends to destroy Spencer’s reputation once and for all, in addition to vanquishing Sonny. For supposedly spending 20 some years on this revenge project, faux Luke has done precious little homework when it comes to personal details like nicknames he uses (a BIG redflag or at least it should be to “Spanky” and maybe “Slim” in the future….) and who’s who in town since the ’90’s. I know the massive drug dosages at Miscavage are being used as the excuse for Luke’s latest eccentricities and personality gaps, but these obvious oversights are just plain sloppy.
I actually hope Luke is really Luke…just a brainwashed puppet being used by whoever is really funding the Jeromes…the Cassidines…imo…or no better than the mob so maybe Victor is using mind control and behind the funding or even Jerry!!!
But if Luke has been programmed for evil doing, why is he so out of character when it comes to personal info, like details of loved ones and recognition of Port Charles citizens that he already knows? Even taking into account that drugs or whatever messed up his mind, there is still something missing…his basic essence, or “Lukeness.” This guy is just plain mean and nasty….there is no levity, devil may care attitude or roguish charm….hypnosis shouldn’t take away his true personality….and I don’t see the endgame with brainwashing…if he is to do a successful scam, he needs to be convincing in his cover. I still think this is an imposter. As for the Cassadines, yeah, they are baaaad, but they do it with such style!!!! The Jeromes are just so tacky and lowrent….and Ava is really beginning to wear out her welcome! I’ll take Dr. O. and her cohorts anyday!!!!!
Awesome!!
yaaahhhhh!
Thaao Penghlis / Victor !!
luv luv luv him!!! nuff said 🙂
Thank God! Great actor! So much story that could be told with Victor. I only wish Tristan didnt run off to Y&R. He is being wasted over there was a stupid story line! Hopefully Victor will bring news, or better yet, Stephan with him!
Tristian is boring on Y&R…i thought he’d make the show more interesting but he was better on GH even if recurring!!!
so Alexis has an Uncle named “Victor” and Derek (Julian J) has a papi named “Victor”….interesting.
Can someone confirm if Tom Jr (TJ Ashford) is related to Dr Tom Hardy?
No, different parents altogether.
T.J., or Tom Jr., is the son of Thomas “Tommy” Ashford (hence the Tom Jr. name) His father was killed by Shawn.
Dr. Thomas “Tom” Hardy Sr. is Audrey’s son with Tom Baldwin (adopted by Steve Hardy)
Dr. Tom had a son, Tom Hardy Jr., with Simone Ravelle. He’s older than T.J. as he was born in 1989 and soaps always will age a kid to be older, not younger…. Last known as Dr. Thomas Steven “Tommy” Hardy, Jr., MD, , he left town with his mother in 1997.
Dr. Tom Hardy Sr. has been portrayed by several actors, including Matthew Ashford, and that is where the last name is the same as the character TJ’s… but obviously the actor and a character are not related.
Welcome back, Victor! Was disappointed that his initial stint was so brief….think that this Cassadine has a lot more secrets that are yet to be discovered….not so much with the Jerome family muddle (which really does not get more interesting, although the “Luke-a-Like” reveal has been fun….just sick of all the mob stuff….) but with more links to Dr. O., Jerry Jacks, Faison, etc….and of course, Madeline! I believe his story about getting Robin to restore Helena and Stavros to their former existence is but a smokescreen and that Dr. Scorpio-Drake’s real mission will be to first and foremost bring Nina back to life, as she died long ago and her mother concealed this fact in order to prevent Silas from his rightful inheritance…that is why her husband was prevented from seeing her. Not sure if Nina is perhaps Victor’s daughter or a Cassadine in another respect, but there must be a familial tie there somewhere. Agree with the above poster who would like to see the return of Stefan, as well….have had enough of Helena and especially, Stavros…the maniac is a walking timebomb of madness! Why on earth would anyone want him back to roam the earth and cause more trouble, save for his mother? And even Helena is no longer required….Victor is now running the dynasty, and if there is a need for another “Empress of Darkness,” there is always “Queen Liesl!” Still would love to see Dr. O. succumb to Victor’s charms and abandon her crazy obsession with Caesar. She deserves so much better….P.S. Still missing Scorpio, too…this storyline would have been tailormade for his talents given his history with the Ice Princess, et al.
I wonder is Stephen Nicholas is going to come over to GH TOO.
Bring back Steve Burton as Jason no matter what it takes…….the show is not the same without him……
He doesn’t want to come back; hence renewing his contract at Y&R.
I’m happy Thaao is coming back to GH and there could be a lot of reasons for Victor returning. He could give Patrick an update about Robin and for other reasons.Plus i hope this time Victor interacts with Luke and Anna.
Wow I am so happy Thaao is coming back to General Hospital, as Victor Cassadine. He is a terrific actor. Wow Thaao is 68 years old, I just googled him. Still a sexy man, for his age. Too bad, I am married he is a chaming sexy sexy sexy man. LOL.
