On Thursday’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Paul (Hollis Chambers) who know goes by ‘Hollis’, and is the bartender from Il Giardino, gets his dream date with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang).

While the young man tells Deacon (Sean Kanan), how much he respects Brooke and she is gorgeous to boot, will there be a steamy connection or just friendship between the two?

Meanwhile, Brooke and her new gal pal, Taylor (Krista Allen) are nervous and excited for Brooke’s first date, in what seems forever and certainly post-Ridge. Taylor tries to give her bestie some advice on having fun, and just going with the flow, and that Brooke deserves this and to remember, she has no obligation to the guy.  Taylor adds, “This could be the beginning of a brand new chapter for you.”

When Hollis shows up at Brooke’s, he is instantly smitten by her, sharing, “I just need to catch my breath.” Taylor stammers and decides it’s time for her to get out of dodge so the two can have their date.

Brooke, pouring two glasses of sparkling water, shares a toast with Hollis to the beginning of a wonderful friendship.  Next, Brooke says all of this is surprising to her. When Hollis responds, “Which part?” Brooke answers, “Being on a date with you.” Hollis shares, “I’m excited to see where tonight takes us.”

So what do you think B&B fans? Are you all in for Brooke and Hollis to hook-up, date, just be friends? Comment below.

It is a surprising turn of events, Brooke (any of B&B character really) dating outside ‘the family.’ Hope this can be an opportunity for character growth and the start of a stalker storyline.

Should read NOT the start of a stalker storyline … Sorry!

I think it would be cool for Dave Reed to re-enter her life, or, better yet… STAY SINGLE!

Love idea of Brooke single. It’s about time for her to be powerful. She received the blessing of the dying Stephanie and the writers just ignored that moment they created.

I’m glad they gave Hollis more to do. He is easy on the eyes and seems to be talented. I also like the romance of it all. They need more characters like Hollis to spice things up!

He is a greasy, icky boy. He is just infatuated with Brock mainly because she’s filthy rich and he is a loser with no money.

I so agree with new men spicing up Bold and Beautiful. You can’t always have Bill’s kids. Or Ridge for that matter.

Hollis is creepy and way too young. Brooke is filthy rich and Hollis is a bar back. He is way out of his realm. Brooke needs an older rich man absolutely not Ridge. Taylor mind your own business or are you getting Brooke out the way so you can get your claws back on greasy Ridge. ( he really needs to wash his greasey hair). YUCK

After being raped the idea of Brooke being alone in her home with a man she barely knows was a HUGE miscalculation on the part of the writers. Did you forget she was a rape victim?
Poor writing on your parts.
Not to mention it’s quite telling that Taylor is pushing her to date. She just wants Ridge to herself.

Taylor deserves to have Ridge anyway she can get him. After all we haven’t seen very much of them together without Brooke in the way. I like to see Taylor and Brook stay friends but not likely if Taylor takes Ridge back. Yeah everybody should wash their hair but this Hollis guy looks like a gigolo if that’s what they’re going for. Bell is known for his surprises. Let’s hope he’s surprises us with some brand new hunks.

Judgmental Ho much.

Ho,
I loved Thorston Kay on AMC but he’s so different here, looks and everything. The overly facial hair and yes his hair always looks like it needs trimming and a good shampoo.Did you see the other Ridge? Different as night and day.

I want Brooke and Taylor to couple up

YUK!

No way. How pathetic
The 2 need boyfriends
Yo start their rivalry
All over again

Aren’t you getting tired of the Brooke and Taylor Feud, fighting all the time? I’ve been watching Bold and Beautiful for 20 years but the writers need new and refreshing storylines not the same old ones we can predict the ending. Maybe they’re gearing for the younger crowd that hasn’t seen the plots like I have.

From Friday’s episode it looks like the writers are leaning in that direction.

I would like to see that happen that would be awesome.

Yuk out Taylor with Bill or maybe even Carter. NOT BROOKE

this is bold as we know how long before hollis becomes unhinged hope it doesn’t go that way but she will either be saved by taylor or thomas

Richard,
Unhinged? For sure. Brooke would make any guy crazy!

Hope Brooke has the fortitude to end the Hollis thing before it starts and not follow on old patterns. You would think psychologist Taylor would quit encouraging her, especially since she has seen first hand what happens when you meddle in people’s lives from her own kids Steffy and Thomas when they tried to get her and Ridge back together. But what am I saying…it’s a soap and will get messy. And I’m not so sure there wouldn’t develop competition between “best friends” when Ridge enters the picture again.

Watched B@B since the 1st show, but if they make Brook an Taylor a couple IM DONE !

Me too

I think the storyline of an older woman and a younger man would be a lot more interesting than Taylor and Brooke. Not sure I would want to watch if it goes in that direction.

Jr,
That would not be my cup of tea either. I think they tried a similar version years ago on Y&R with Catherine Chancelor but I remember the fans didn’t like it.

Stupid.Brooke is past her prime. Not a femme fatal anymore.

Stop this young guy wouldn’t be interested in this past femme fatale.Brooke past her prime.Completely stupid storyline.

Dorian Lord bedded men a third of her age. Monica Quartermaine had an affair with someone who turned out to be her nephew by marriage. Those were accepted by viewers. Somewhere along the line it became less tolerable. Erica Kane and Ryan were kind of off-putting. Is Brooke as dynamic as Dorian or is she more ego-centric like Erica?

Why not hook-uo, Live n Let live

If you take Brook and Taylor to lesbian status I probably will quit watching, it’s already too much as far as I’m concerned and as far as Hollis goes this is also weird , he’s creepy and the story line makes no since all.

I think they should hook up because she is older means nothing love is ageless once u become an adult. Her kids are grown it’s her time again to do as what pleases her and find Taylor and Ridge someone else fresh story line kids are grown life goes on.

Yes put Ridge with someone other than Taylor or Brooke.

I hear he may come home married, possibly the blonde bimbo from Vegas, but for real this time.

I think Brooke and Thomas would be interesting. Maybe all his hate toward her is because he really has other feelings for her

I think Ridge is going to come back married to someone else.

How old is Brook supposed to be now….how old is Hollis….does he have any power. Or is Brook the older woman with power this time?????
I missed something

Jk Tren,
I would think, according to her two oldest kids in their early thirties and Hope, that she’s got to be nearing 60 and Hollis looks to be late 20s. As far as power, he’s a lowly bartender/waiter. The only power is his youth. Brook has everything else.

What is the contract status of Thorsten Kaye? And really let’s knock it off with the lesbian nonsense ! You do know you can have friends and not bring sexual undertones in everything !!

Kay,
You are right of course but they sure are trying to make it tantalizing and using lots of innuendo. Are they or aren’t they? Unfortunately, I think a lot of fans are hoping for more than friends.

Thorsten Kaye spoke last year he’d be taking some time off, so that is why he isn’t on the canvas; he’s still on the series as a regular, but he is not filming.

I’m waiting for date between Brook and her new best friend Taylor…..

An older woman with a younger man would be exciting. We all know it would never work in a long run but anything is better than another run of Ridge and Brooke. Please don’t do that to us. It would have been fun to see Deacon and Brooke hit it off again. But you already have Sheila with Deacon. Yet again we all know nobody takes anyone from Sheila.

She should date him!!! He is perfect

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Marlena Looks Back at 50 Years in Salem

Published

The June 22 episode of Days of Our Lives reminded us all of why Deidre Hall is iconic in the role of Dr. Marlena Evans. Here we are 50 years later, and Marlena is still the heroine of the long-running soap opera, and Deidre remains one of the most most recognizable names in the history of soaps.

To pay tribute, and to look back at the life and times of Marlena, the story starts with Marlena flipping through a photo album of her with John (the late Drake Hogestyn) over the years. As she misses him dearly, she gets a knock on the door and its none other than John’s son, Paul Narita (Christopher Sean).

With Andrew (Colton Little) in Salem working on a case, he sits down with Marlena, who says she can’t believe its been fifty years since she first arrived in Salem! Cue: Deidre’s first scenes on DAYS when she finds Mickey Horton (the late John Clarke) playing chess against himself inside the mental institution she worked.

THE FLASHBACKS OF MARLENA’S LIFE

From there, viewers definitely got the cliff notes version of the history of Marlena and entrenched within them, some of the biggest moments in Deidre’s enduring run.

Paul thinks he is looking at 70s, and early 80s Marlena while going through her scrapbook, but he is actually looking at her twin, Samantha (Andrea Hall)Cue: when Marlena confronted Samantha about impersonating her, and then later getting a call on her radio show from the Salem Strangler (Jack Coleman as Jake Kostichek) who killed Samantha thinking it was Marlena.

In the present, Belle (Martha Madison) has arrived at this time to meet up with Paul, unaware of this trip down memory lane. She wants to go over the findings in the chess board mystery Stefano willed to Marlena and John, in private with him, since Marlena previously said she wanted nothing to do with it.

Back to the history lesson, Marlena speaks highly of Don Craig and even though their marriage didn’t work out, she could find a path forward with the new love her life, Roman Brady. (Wayne Northrop however is never shown, possibly to keep the story focused on John as Roman for confusion sakes?)

Paul sees a photo of a young Carrie (Christie Clark) in the album and Marlena says she was such a godsend after losing her baby. In fact, Marlena says caring for Carrie prepared her for her having and raising her own twins, Eric and Sami. Cue: The twin visiting Marlena in the hospital.

JOHN AND MARLENA’S LOVE CONQUERED ALL

Then, in a way to get through and incorporate the wild storylines only Marlena could have been in, she tells Belle and Paul, she has been through so much in her life, how lucky she was to find John, and some of the most unbelievable experiences no one could imagine. Cue: Marlena possessed by the devil and levitating from the bed. Next, John confronting Marlena being the Salem Stalker, where she admits she killed Alice Horton, pretends she needs help, then pulls a gun on her beloved John!

The comment is made by Paul and Marlena, that she literally has been to hell and back and she could not have survived were it not for her beloved John. Cue the big emotional highpoint clips; The Pier Scene! Marlena steps out of the fog when John sees her from a distance. After believing she was dead for four years, here she was before him in one of the greatest reunions in a soap opera love story in history. What followed were other times of the life of times of Jarlena.

MARLENA’S ‘GIFT’ FROM STEFANO HAS A NEW CLUE

When Marlena makes a brief exit to the other room, Belle fills in Paul on the chess set Stefano left her mother and the photo of the Lire. Paul said he will investigate. Marlena comes back into the room and overhears, and says to promise her if things get dangerous he will back off, she does not want anyone hurt by Stefano’s games.

As the episode comes to a conclusion, it’s just Belle and Marlena going through the photo album giggling about 70s hairstyles and all the memories. Belle speaks on the impact Marlena has had in everyone’s lives, and that she is both the heart of their family and the heart of Salem.

An end card comes up acknowledging Deidre Hall’s 50th anniversary as Marlena, and we fade to black.

So, what did you think of Marlena’s walk down memory lane? Were you happy to see the flashback clips utilized throughout? Were you touched by the scenes and the performance of Deidre Hall? Let us know what you thought of Deidre’s 50th anniversary episode via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sidwell Surfaces; A Twist in Britt’s Condition

Published

By

On the Thursday, June 18 episode of General Hospital, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) makes his shocking return right in Port Charles, after fleeing (thanks to Cassius) to supposedly parts unknown to escape capture for trying to kill Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis).

How does he show up in town? First, Ezra (Daniel Cosgrove) gets a text from Jacinda (Paige Herschell) to meet in his hotel room. Ezra thinks the two are going to have a sexcapade so he puts champagne on ice for his favorite escort.

Suddenly, there is a knock at the door. Ezra’s excitement turns towards fear as instead of Jacinda, Sidwell is standing in front of him. Next, Sidwell blackmails Boyle telling him he has plenty of leverage he can use against him. Sidwell wants to use Ezra to help him takedown, Sonny (Maurice Benard), Lucas, Laura (Genie Francis) and Cullum.

ARE SIDWELL’S DAYS NUMBERED?

Meanwhile, Sonny confides in his brother, Ric (Rick Hearst). He says he knows who killed Marco an he is going to use that intel to lure Sidwell out of hiding.  Sonny also shares he is going to kill Sidwell, and handle this by himself. He gave the PCPD a chance, but they failed to nab Sidwell for good and lock him up.

Sonny also has been tracking the whereabouts of Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Rocco (Finn Carr) through Brick, and learned they took a flight to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and then boarded a fairy to take them somewhere off the island.

BRITT’S ‘SYMPTOMS’ RETURN

Turns out, Britt and Rocco are hiding out in the British Virgin Islands. Britt set up Rocco with a burner phone and a VPN on her tablet, that is not traceable. Rocco reads on the tablet about Lucas’ shooting. Britt starts to have the shakes and passes out. When she comes to, Britt won’t let Rocco call a doctor, but he uses his phone to step on the balcony and call Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) and ask for help. Charlotte looks shocked to hear from her brother as Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) looks on!

However, Joe (Jonathan Bennett) could be the one to put two and two together! While at General Hospital and after questioning Lucas about a syringe he found that was in someone’s possession. the toxicology report showed traces of saline solution, not actual medication. He asks Dr. Jones, why someone would inject themselves with saline? Lucas responds saline is harmless and would have no effect on someone.

So, does this mean that this entire time, Britt has been led to believe that the medication she was taking to treat her Huntington’s disease was placebo? Has Britt been lied to into believing she is dying? Is something else wrong with her instead?

Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section below, and if you are ready for Sidwell to finally get his comeuppance from Sonny! But first, watch the scenes where Sidwell comes out of hiding and blackmails Ezra Boyle.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Dante and ‘Nathan’ Have It Out, Valentin and Carly Share Passionate Moments Which May Be Their Last

Published

on

By

On the June 16 episode of General Hospital, the PCPD under acting police commissioner Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is in a bit of mess and does not go unnoticed by ADA Turner (Nazneen Contractor).

First, there is the whole Chase (Josh Swickard) defending Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) over Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), who he arrested for allegedly tossing Willow in the waters next to the Quartermaine boathouse. Turner has had it with Chase’s good guy act and how he tampered with evidence in her case against Willow for shooting Drew.

Later, Dante and Justine question “Nathan” (Ryan Paevey) about Sidwell’s escape while in his custody. Turner is not buying his cover story that he was ambushed by Sidwell and his men. Once “Nathan” left the interrogation room, Turner went in on Dante about having “Nathan” on the force after seven years away, and Chase she views as a “dirty cop.”

However, Dante defends both of his officers, but Justine warned that “Nathan” and Chase’s behavior would reflect poorly on Dante as commissioner and she should really think about that. Later, Dante has a terse confrontation with “Nathan” on how he botched a prison transport and that he better watch his back as Justine is one step away from turning this over to Internal Affairs.

COP MADNESS

Next, “Nathan” apologizes for the way he handled the situation with Rocco and says he feels badly. But then in the twist, Dante said that he was grateful that “Nathan” had been there for his son in his time of need (referencing after Rocco shot Cullum and covered it up).

Then, there’s the newest police officer in the precinct, Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett). He may actually be on to “Nathan’s” double life when he questions him about a syringe found in Britt’s room at Bobbie’s. “Nathan” made up a story to counter Joe’s, that he was not aware that his sister was taking anything for her Huntington’s disease diagnosis. Joe called the forensic department lab wanting to know what drug was exactly in the syringe.

BEFORE YOU GO

At Carly’s (Laura Wright), Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) tells her that he must travel to Geneva to speak to the head of the WSB, named Z. Valentin feels it’s the only way to save Josslyn if he informs Z about Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) being a double agent. Valentin shares with Carly that he has to stop Cullum from bringing his dangerous cold fusion device online. Carly is beside herself. She doesn’t want Valentin to sacrifice himself by turning himself into the organization who has made him a fugitive in the first place. Valentin stands firm that he must meet Z in person.

Knowing that revealing himself to the WSB meant he was likely going back to prison, Valentin asked Carly if she’d get in touch with his daughter, Charlotte so he could say good-bye to her. Next, Carly and Valentin make their way to the bedroom to make love, which may be for the very last time, if Valentin is caught and put back in Steinmauer Maximum Security Prison.

Courtesy/ABC

CAUGHT BY CULLUM

At the same time while at Wydemere, Cullum is talking with one of his WSB operatives. Now, he is pondering if Valentin and Sidwell were working together all along.  Next, Cullum entertains the idea of involving the FBI to locate Britt and Rocco. He says he plans to kill them both once he knows of their whereabouts. Cullum sees the only other threat to the completion of the cold fusion project to be Anna Devane.

Cullum wants to track the location of the unidentified person who called the private clinic in France trying to get in touch with Anna, while pretending to be Kevin Collins. When the agent came back with a report, he says it emanated from a cell tower near Shoreline Road. It’s in the that moment that a light bulb goes on for Cullum! Valentin is in Port Charles and hiding at Carly’s!

So, what do you think of the PCPD cops, Chase, Joe and “Nathan?” Who should Dante fire? Do you think Valentin will go the run?Are you digging Carly and Valentin’s relationship and want it to continue, especially with Finola Hughes on her way back as Anna next month on-screen? Weigh-in via the comment section, and in case you missed it, you can check out our latest interview with Dominic Zamprogna below from his appearance on the Michael Fairman Channel, where he talks the PCPD cops, Rocco on the run, and more.
