THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: Is This The Summer Of Brill?

Courtesy/CBS
Things are heating up as the days of summer kick in! And on The Bold and the Beautiful, two longtime lovestruck duos look to be getting back into each others orbit, well one is definitely looking to get in between the sheets!
In this newly released promo from CBS Daytime, it looks like Dollar Bill’s (Don Diamont) passion for Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) is about to take him over. Is this finally the end of Bill and Katie’s (Heather Tom) life together? Will Brooke once and for all, never look back, and just do all that she can to be with Bill? Will Brooke betray her sister again? Is Katie just to unstable to ever truly keep Bill for herself? Should Katie set out to destory Brill? These are the questions coming up on the number two rated daytime drama series.
Meanwhile against all odds, can Liam (Scott Clifton) get Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) back? He lost his memory, was tricked by Quinn (Rena Sofer), and even his own brother, Wyatt (Darin Brooks) “married” the woman he loves! But will true love conquer all?
Watch B&B’s hot summer promo after the jump! Then let us know, are you rooting for Brill? Do you want Steffy back with Liam? Comment below!
Why does every Brooke story take place on her back! Find something for her to do besides bed men!
I love Brooke Logan, she is a slut. Which is fine with me. Lol.
I agree with you. I have been watching the show on and off since its conception, and it seems that the only thing Brooke is capable of doing is screwing other people’s men. She must have some sort of brain in her head since she was able to create the Belief formula. Why don’t they bring that back and tie that in with the lingerie line and she can be in charge of what she originally started. Have Brooke revamp Brooke’s Bedroom. But I guess Brooke would not be Brooke if sh wasn’t on her back once in awhile. And how many more years can she shove R.J. away at boarding school. Let bond with her other son instead of crying over being alone in that big house. I really enjoyed Liam throwing Bill’s words back at him when he went to the house to discuss the earring he found in the ” napping room “. Bill had such a smug look on his face after that. Now the the question is, what will Katie do when she finds out? Will she A) drink herself into oblivion, B) have a severe bout of depression or C) take Bill to court, divorce him, and bleed him dry. I say let her be the strong women that she is and take him for all he’s worth.
She has 2 sons she could bind with, RJ and Jack!! Lol
With all of the scenes of Katie apologizing to both Bill and Brooke, something tells me she is setting them up for their own failure…how does a wife just “accept” that her husband and her sister love one another and always will?
Hey, we all have our talents, hahaha!
I agree. I want her to be the new Stephanie in the mix. Strong, independent, one who has learned from her experiences. How many times can we go down this near incestuous road? That said, if B&B puts Bill and Brooke together, I want this to be it for Brooke. I want more for this character. I would prefer Bill and Katie work it out. I like their chemistry and how they come together from different perspectives.
As for Steffy and Liam, please put a fork in it and call that one finished, too! The conflict holds no allure any more. I don’t care.
She should be on top for a change-lol
Its ‘The Bed and The Beautiful!’-lol
JimL…How true!
HA! So true!
Reallllly tired of Liam ping pong

Reallllly tired of Liam & ping pong
girls. Get one who wont bounce around
on him.PHULEEEEESE. How about a legitimate love story for him? NOT QUINN!!!
Thank you clh!!!!!
I agree with you as it appears this is the only job that she knows how to do!!!
Same old storyline only the men change.
She’s a human “mattress”…..
Par Excellence!
New title of this soap should be: “Wash, Rinse, & Repeat” nothing new here Bradley we can all move along.
Brill (Brooke and Bill) are a very bad thing. It ruins both characters and all their relationships. And I’m afraid, that even if it is a summer fling and Brooke comes to her senses, it will have ruined $Bill for the rest of his time on the show. Bill was the one man on the show near Brooke’s age that had not become like every other man and been caught in Brooke’s net. That is gone.
Steam (Steffy and Liam) can get past this and be an anchor couple on the show. Not a triangle, but an anchor, much like Stephanie and Eric. Twists, turns, danger, affairs, but you know they will always end up together, usually at Christmas. They can be involved individually in their two families and companies and bring the families together after a year’s worth of angst.
At least that is my opinion.
The only reason I am tuning in is for the “Brill” storyline. As ridiculous as it is, it reminds me of the good ol’ fashioned smut stories of the 80’s (AMC’s Erica having an affair with Travis’ brother, Jack). Bill’s rationalization of staying married to Katie (only being able to if he can have a “relationship” with Brooke), his hypocrisy regarding Liam, Steffy, and Whiner (Wyatt) is just comical. If I were Brooke, the first thing I would think of (besides this is my sister’s husband) is that Bill is going to be expected to bed his wife every so often-which is just disgusting.
As far as Liam, Steffy, and the Whiner-can Wyatt be any more desperate to hold on to his wife? The scene at the town clerk’s office said it all, when it was confirmed that the marriage was legal, “OH, thank God.” I cringe when the Whiner is in scenes. The character is just so desperate.
He seems only able to go after his brother’s “leftovers”. There are other women in the world. I thought he had a real chance with Ivey, but she magically still had feelings for Liam-out of the blue. Wyatt had such low esteem, he tried to bogard her into a marrying him anyway. As much as GH lets me down and keeps expanding the cast to include the entire world, it is becoming the only one that I can stomach.
I think loyal fans deserve so much better for our loyalty than what we are being fed. Better writing and acting. I too miss the “golden era” of soapdom, but it’s obviously gone now. Thank gosh for TCM!
Does Bell have any original ideas left. I have B&B for just a few years but it seem that they have revamped a couple stories over and over. Like REALLY 2 brothers after the same woman twice. Good Lord it reeks of lame writing
Kmayne…sorry for the Jimh message. I’m also fairly new to B&B. Really agree with your comment. It’s amazing how much, or how little they do with the number of actors on B&B compared to GH which is overcast. They just seem to rotate the same actors with variations on the same storyline. Wonder if Hope will come back again just to “mix” it up?
Brill?…sounds like something i clean my sinks with!!!-lol
Tell me did RJ fall in a hole ? Ridge and Brooke’s kid never discussed and when was Steffy & Liam this love story I thought he always went back to Hopeless and never a mention of Taylor would you not think Thomas and Steffy mention their Mom. Ugh
I tend to think of B&B as a comic book version of a daytime drama, which, in and of itself, is not necessarily a bad thing. As a result, I don’t hold it to the same standards as I do the other soaps. It’s beautiful to look at and does not require nor merit much critical analysis. I think if it strove for more artistic integrity it would be fair to judge it on that basis. It is like cotton candy. I would not rate it on the same scale as fine cuisine, but it sure tastes good!
I want to mitigate my previous comment by saying that B&B is capable of delivering meaningful and profound daytime drama, particularly as it relates to social issues. My comments mainly related to its romantic stories and the constant shuffling and reshuffling of partners without regard to any meaningful motivation. Also, there are some really great actors among its cast. I watch it and I enjoy it, but I don’t tend to regard it in the same way that I do the other soaps.
What I detest most about these types of stories, where one sibling is having an affair with the spouse of the other is enduring the endless conversations where they keep saying how wrong it is, how they shouldn’t hurt so and so, all the annoying fake guilt and self justification– please we all know it is wrong, we all know the writers are going to have the characters go down that road, so at least spare us from listening to them act like it is some big moral dilemma when it isn’t for them, otherwise they wouldn’t even think about doing it
And as much as I would love Brad to give up his reliance on the love triangle, the whole Steffy Liam and Wyatt thing will go on for years or until one of the actors leaves the show, like when Hope was written out and the misery that was Hope Liam Steffy or Liam Hope and Wyatt finally ended.
Here’s a thought let Wyatt and Brooke hook up that way they both can stop going after each other’s siblings partner– but still rooting for Quinn to get her man Liam—then Liam can be Wyatt’s step daddy who is still in love with his son in law’s wife– sounds right up B&B alley.
Totes agree about the Quinn and Liam thing. Now they had real chemistry and a storyline that could go someplace. I tuought Jr. prided himself on being able to spot good couple connections. Well, he sucks now!
absolutely not rooting for brill or any of these recycled storylines and triangles . can’t this soap come up with stories that are more original , with more depth and meaning ? after liam , whyatt and hope we now have liam , whyatt and steffy . this is just so sad and ridiculous. william j bell who created the 2 soaps had amazing stories with substance and quality , Douglas marland on other soaps also delivered great story . i am sad to see the decline in both viewership and quality of the soaps . budget cuts are not an excuse for bad writing and lack of story ideas. Frankly if this is all we can expect from bold then the time has probably come to put an end to the show. sorry if the truth may hurt and offend devoted fans . my god do i miss the days of Guiding light , another world , as the world turns and santa barbara.
I loved watching Guiding Light in the mid-to late 90’s before all of the low budget and poor quality episodes.
They certainly were yar!
BOY, NICHOLAS I AGREE WITH ALL YOU SAID… RECYCLED STORY LINES AND NOT MUCH ORIGINAL THESE DAYS… I ESPECIALLY MISS GUIDING LIGHT AND ATWT…..
In terms of ‘The H-O Factor’, Brooke is nothing but an older version of Y&R’S Hilary!!!!! Make. It. Stop.
I wish Brooke HOgan would find an unattached man. .shes way too old to be the town slut. Her vagina has seen more traffic than the 105 on a holiday weekend.
And the actress should set a better example for her child/children.
Well said. My only question is what is so special about her old nasty vajayjay that has every male panting after her? She is way too old for all this sex. I suppose she will be pregnant again. That’ll definitely be one for the books!!!
The last thing that Brooke needs is to be pregnant again. No, no and more no. Next……….
Omg I bout spit my drink out at your, “her vagina has seen more traffic than the 105 on a holiday weekend” that’s got to be the best line I’ve seen on these threads in a long time……keep me coming!!!!!
Keep them coming not me lol my bad
Liam and Steffy belong together. She’s Liam’s lobster. Reminds me of Caroline and the real Ridge.
I don’t like it. I don’t buy that Bill is the love of Brooke’s life. Bill may want to bed Brooke, but I don’t buy that he is in love with her.
I was reading up on a few characters on the show, didn’t all of the Logan sisters also “share” Nick Marone?
dmr…y-e-p…they sure did. Oh, those soaps…LOL!!!!!
So men would prefer the older dried up sister with one expression for all emotions, instead of the younger, passionate more attractive sister?!
What am I missing????
I have watched b and b from the start. While many dislike Brooke (I get why) I am on her side many times. In this instance, Bill & Brooke WOULD have been married if it wasnt for Ridge. I think Katie should be happy. I noticed that no one seemed to object when Ridge hooked up with Katie. No one objected when Katie faked a heart attack to stop Ridge & Brookes wedding. Ridge & Brookes messy intersecting history doesn’t help here. My guess…..RJ or Jack come back and Brooke ends it with Bill because her son wants it that way. Heck, once Caroline dumps Ridge for her chlids REAL father Ridge will want Brooke or Katie yet again. Brad Bell seems to like to write it that way. Like I said just my or a new perspective. Please no attacks just because I like Brooke….LOL…THANKS
let steffy be with Wyatt now liam be with hope so u need to have Kim come back onhere B&B like so as so u can get her back liam need hope tthat’s his true love is for every so now u can let steffy with Wyatt he love steffy so much that’s is true love is for every now on for good

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
