Two of daytime’s most familiar names appear together again in Sunday night’s Hallmark Channel’s TV Movie  premiere of Murder, She Baked: A Deadly Recipe (9PMET/8PMCT) In it, Days of our Lives veteran Alison Sweeney (Ex-Sami) and All My Children’s Cameron Mathison (Ex-Ryan) play Hannah and Mike.

In this installment of the Murder, She Baked series, the log lines indicate: Bakery owner Hannah Swensen just can’t keep her hands out of the batter when murder stirs things up in Lake Eden, Minnesota, leaving the sheriff dead, a deputy accused, and a killer on the loose. For years, Sheriff Grant’s been the iron hand in town, but when his dead body is discovered, Hannah’s brother-in-law is accused of the crime. Soon, Hannah’s dishing up scandalous secrets, steaming hot betrayals, and enough intrigue to keep the gossip mill at The Cookie Jar going through several pots of decaf. And the closer Hannah gets to the truth, the closer she gets to finding the murderer with a calorie-laden, nasty recipe for silencing people. ”

But, who is really going to steal Hannah’s heart in the end of it all?  Well, during a behind the scenes moment of shooting A Deadly Recipe, Sweeney, Mathison. and their co-star Gabriel Hogan (Norman) took some time on their lunch break to weigh-in on the matter.

Watch the video between the three lead performers in the cast after the jump. Then let us know if you will be checking out Murder, She Baked: A Deadly Recipe tonight on the Hallmark Channel!

I wish Alison would make a Hallmark movie with James Scott. What I wouldn’t give to see these two great performers together on screen again. Their chemistry is sorely missed.

All My Children Alum Cornelius Smith Jr. Joins the Cast of Apple TV+ Limited Series, ‘Five Days At Memorial’

Daytime fans remember him fondly as the son of Jesse (Darnell Williams) and Angie Hubbard (Debbi Morgan), Frankie, on All My Children.  And now, actor Cornelius Smith Jr., is set to join a major limited series based on the acclaimed nonfiction book by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Sheri Fink, about the the first five days following Hurricane Katrina made landfall entitled Five Days at Memorial.

Written by John Ridley and Carlton Cruse, Smith will play a doctor, (something he is very familiar with playing since Frankie Hubbard was a doctor in Pine Valley!) named Dr. Bryant King, an internist and one of the few doctors of color at the hospital, who finds himself very much in the middle of the crisis.  He will headline the show alongside Vera Farmiga and Adepero Oduye.
