GH's Nancy Lee Grahn On The State Of Julexis: "I Say Take The Ride"

Last week on Friday’s General Hospital cliffhanger, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was arrested for the murder of Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise), not her mobster hubby, Julian (William deVry).  That sets the stage for more confrontation and tension for the couple known by its adoring fan base as “Julexis”.

Nancy Lee Grahn spoke with TV Insider to give her take on the state of affairs between Alexis and Julian, which has provided some very meaty scenes for both Grahn and deVry.

When asked if viewers should be optimistic that Julexis could even pull through all of this betrayal, deception, and murder, Nancy teased: “I say take the ride. I say with optimism that the story is not over yet.”

As far as if Alexis will eventually just accept Julian, murderer and mobster, Nancy added: “Yes, to pull the rug out from under Julexis is a very risky move.  But no risk, no gain. And you can’t say this isn’t interesting.  The next few weeks are wild. We’re going places I never would have imagined.”

So, do you hope Julexis continues to live on … or, do you want Alexis to dump the guy and mean it, and not turn back? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!

With what Julian’s been up to lately, I’ve quickly grown to dislike him. For a ma to think his wife should stand trial for a murder they both know he committed is clearly pitiful. No way should she do anything but move on from him.

What I do like is that Sonny seems to be stepping up with concern for Alexis after he wrote her off a couple of weeks ago. If he helps her out, it shows some character, unlike Julian. How can any of the kids be ok with what’s going on? This will cause more of a divide between them and Julian and the girls have been slow to accept them.

      I know… right ?

it’s a little long in the tooth… “here we go again” as NLG’ Alexis

      is torn by her virtue
is torn by her wanton ways
vacillate so oft her moral ( lust ) and her honor (justice)

give it a break already… you are a 50 plus year old woman… who is getting it

Julian is your lucky keep… to keep your toes curling

      HAVE FUN all ready

I must say…. it was gangsta in your face “girl”

as Julian told her in NO uncertain term

        we took our vows “seriously”

        Till death do us part

loom in the quake of that

        June 21, 2016 at 6:44 pm

Lol, Patrick….as usual; your words deliver, impress and take.
Let me tell you, the story ‘ain’t’ so long in the tooth as the protagonist.
I do not know how this couple can be salvaged. Is Julian’s halo being polished as we speak? Yup; it will probably be done….that’ll be so disappointing for some of us; but so welcoming for others. Nancy sounds as if she knows they eill be getting back together; after I re-read her comments. She intimates that this ‘mise en scene’ is simply to create drama. We should have expected. It is a soap….goes around in circles and repeats itself.
If Alexis succumbs to her husband, it will only show his power over her. Thst’s infuriating to me. But, I have no control on any compilation of amateurish writing. I hope the writing veers from the norm: thst is; patch everything up with the usual nonsense that love forgives everything. Nah! Fool me once…..As I said, give Alexis some power and her dignity back.

I never bought them as a couple so it’s not a great loss to me. I do think NLG is pulling some really amazing performances. Alexis looks absolutely devastated.
What I HATE the most about this story line is it affords little Sonny to march around acting all holier than thou and sanctimonious.
Yes, Julian killed Duke and later killed Carlos and that was horrible. However, let us face it–both men were involved in the mob and there is a certain amount of risk involved with this career choice. I loved Duke–I know he was trying to leave the criminal life but even he understood that there was some risk involved. Moreover, Duke basically chose Sonny over Anna and that was his fatal mistake.
But AJ? He was not in the mob and was killed in cold blood because stupid Sonny has impulse control issues and is a walking poster child for gun control.
Not only did Sonny feel no remorse for killing the innocent man, Michael’s father, he boinked Ava on his not yet cold body in the Quartermaine crypt.
So, for me, the worst part of this story is that little Sonny gets to march around acting all high and mighty.

For me, they’re the best couple on GH!

I’m not watching GH much these days but I love when they’re on together. I’d like to see them repair all this

        June 19, 2016 at 12:45 pm

Didnt Sonny always act that way…

      • Harry

        June 19, 2016 at 6:13 pm

Jim yes, he did, but suddenly he’s acting like he’s a lawful citizen.
Remember that tattle tale from class? That kid who was always ratting other people out but was secretly the worst little creep as far as behavior is concerned?
Sonny is not Fonzie. No, he’s Eddie Haskell.

“it’s interesting” to watch Nancy Lee Grahn… mix

        I’ve never .. once… till Julian… seen a relationship… last

it rankles me to no end… when her virtue and moral compass lead

        that’s my fault

i’d have trepidation too… if it was William DeVry

so we’ll give NLG a mixed bag effort… for stud muffin

        June 20, 2016 at 4:20 am

        Amen Harry! Well said!

      • Michael (not Fairman)

        June 20, 2016 at 4:38 am

Eddie Haskell? Harry, once again, you slay me (and you nailed it)! If only he had half of Eddie Haskell’s smarmy charm, though!

It points out what I’ve been saying for a while now: characters like Ava and Julian (and Franco) exist to prop Sonny. If you’re going to have a mobster as the central character of the show, you have to have people around who are even worse than he is–or at least equally repellent–in order to make it work. So the main reason, I argue, that we have the (warped, sick) canvas we have is because of the decision to make Sonny the show’s “hero.” (And as a side effect, we have terrific, viable performers like Maura West and Wm. De Vry stuck in absolutely thankless, unviable roles. As performers, Grahn and DeVry have tremendous chemistry and they can both act, but in their current coupling, they can’t really go anywhere good because Julian is pretty much unredeemable, which is a waste of both performers and what they’ve created on screen.) It’s such a stupid, poorly thought out way to construct the show. Maybe ABC really has decided that it isn’t in this for the long run; that’s the only viable explanation I can come up with.

      • nancy dillingham

        June 20, 2016 at 6:29 am

I’m with you, Harry. “Not a great loss to me.”
Too bad that NLG has to do her great emoting on a storyline that we don’t care about. Aggrandizing mobsters (and their molls) NEVER elevates the show–in fact, it just sinks it to a new low. 🙁

        June 20, 2016 at 8:50 am

Harry…maybe so…but at least Eddie Haskell (unlike Sonny The Scumbag) never went around killing people.

        Just saying……….

        June 20, 2016 at 8:53 am

NLG is doing a terrific job! She really thought she could change Julian. Hey ladies, you CANNOT change a man! He is who he is and make sure you are comfortable with that BEFORE you say “I do!”

    • Celia

      June 19, 2016 at 7:16 pm

I agree, Jimmmy. I always believed this was the feeling of a schoolgirl’s lost love. I don’t know if Alexis really loves Julian, in the true sense of the word. There is lust, definitely….it is healthy in a marriage/relationship, but, it was ridiculously overdone, in my opinion.
Nonetheless, lust is so much more intense when there’s REAL love.
I think Alexis thinks she loves Julian. I also think she feels like a fool as she did all those years ago in the backseat of a car doing it with a stranger.
I am really starting to appreciate Nancy. She is at her best, as Alexis, right now. Her struggle is within herself. I do hope the writers snap her out of this adolescent, puppy-love torpor.
Please, give this character life……get rid of that lowlife, Julian; without elevating Sonny to the heavens making him look the hero, by doing so.

I see a Julianina pairing-and it would be like it Nina actually gets preggo-ugh!!!…he and Sonny dont need Gangsta Wars-they can battle to see who has the most children from every Skanksta moll in Paternity Charles!!!

        June 20, 2016 at 3:51 pm

        @Jimh(leave it ti beaver).
        Hi, Jimmy,
You know, I have had ideas about ‘Julianina’ (COOL name…LOL) myself. I think we also talked about ( I do not recall with whom) Nina finally getting pregnant by Tomcat Julian, albeit Sonny could do the job, as well, as randy and fertile as they both are, LOL.
But, I hope not. I know you are not too fond of Nina, as so many others, Jimmy. But, I love Nina/Michelle.
        The possibility is definitely there.

      • Jimh(leave it to beaver)

        June 21, 2016 at 8:57 am

        Julianina-sounds almost Italian,,,

      • Celia

        June 21, 2016 at 7:23 pm

LOL. You’re close, Jimmy. In Italian, it would be; Giuliana, female. Giuliano, male; which is, actually, my husband’s name……translation; Julian. Ironic isn’t it? HaHa.

I really love/loved Alexis and Julian together ❤️

I have to say though, I don’t like this storyline at ALL. I loved how he changed for her, how he looked at her and loved her… It seems like that was changed overnight and I don’t like it at ALL 🙁

Please, GH, put them back together

    • Patrick

      June 19, 2016 at 7:10 pm

      I don’t know…

with the new regime… curtailing.. and featuring… to better judgment…

      Carly / Sonny
      Jason / Sam
      Alexis / Julian

the writers seem to be trotting out… Alexis and Julian to burn and fest

honestly… of the three couples GH is headlining… I’ll take Alexis and Julian

      • Jenna

        June 19, 2016 at 9:26 pm

You know what? Alexis and Julian were my favorite couple on the show!! I dont know why General Hospital had to go and try to ruin that!! Theyre really throwing the kitchen sink at them (and it came out of no where) but i still want them! I think they had really great super couple potential. I loved how they were written as meant to be for each other. I dont get why they would mess with that kind of couple

    • Lauren

      June 19, 2016 at 8:19 pm

They were one of my favorites, as I also really likes Nina and Franco. When I used to watch Y&R these writers were there and I disliked their “style” then. I see nothing has changed:(

      • Harry

        June 19, 2016 at 11:31 pm

All these two ever did together was have sex….and then some more sex…..and some more sex. They never engaged in intelligent conversation nor did they have anything in common other than liking SEX A LOT!
Not that there is anything wrong with liking sex as much as these two did, but damn, you’ve got to have more than an over active libido to sustain a relationship.
I never liked them as a couple and am happy it’s over.

    • nancy dillingham

      June 20, 2016 at 6:30 am

Never liked the character nor the actor’s style–much too “tight” and “stiff” for my taste.

I want Julexis back together in a better story than this rewrite. I want the writers to stop trashing Julexis. This rewrite is a huge betrayal to the fans. I don’t care what they do, write a twist which will put them back on track of their love and commitment to each other. I’m not taking the ride, I’m boycotting GH and ABC until they fix this insane story. I’m sure I won’t be the only one. To tptb, fix the mess you created or your ratings will continue to fall. We are not going to let you destroy another pairing for Alexis. This one is a keeper for the JulexisArmy. We support Nancy & William all the way. If GH want to invest in this show then we want you to invest on Julexis and rewrite your rewrite. WE WANT JULEXIS BACK TOGETHER!

Alexis and Julian are too good to throw away. It’s great to have a meaty plotline such as this because it keeps the viewers watching and hopefully will help with ratings. We wouldn’t be watching if everything was rosy all the time, now would we? This is nice and soapy material for the GH viewer!

Julian hasn’t changed at all. He loves Alexis this is true. But how long will any woman put up with the horrific behavior??? I love Alexis having her day of reckoning where Julian is concerned. I can’t wait to see what lies ahead for them both

    • nancy dillingham

      June 20, 2016 at 6:33 am

HE LOVES HER? When he is issuing veiled (and not-so-veiled) threats like “till death do us part”? With emphasis on “death” if she doesn’t play his game and go along with his destroying evidence? NOT MY DEFINITION OF LOVE!!!
PS And did he love her years ago in the backseat of a car???

  10. Jackie

    June 19, 2016 at 11:19 am

I loved Julexis. After a stressful day it was nice to relax and watch two amazing actors with so much chemistry give us back some love in the afternoon and escape the stress for an hour! But I have to say it does not suprise me that GH ruined such an amazing couple cause they ruin everything when Alexis is involved.

    • nancy dillingham

      June 20, 2016 at 6:35 am

I never saw any chemistry–the actor playing Julian is much too “contained” and “restrained” to stir up much fire. I don’t see his appeal in any way.
And TPTB have compromised and “dumbed down” the character of Alexis so much that she seems on par with her lovesick teenage daughters. NOT appealing at all.

I’ve never been a fan of Julian or his disgusting sister Ava. Run, Alexis. Don’t look back.

      Thank you, Margie–me either!

      • nancy dillingham

        June 20, 2016 at 6:37 am

That goes double for me–no fan of Julian nor Ava. They can be at each other’s throats one minute, ready to murder the other–and then she can leave on a trip and kiss him in the mouth. Is that SICK or what? I feel nothing for either character. Murderers do not appeal to me nor can I identify or empathize in ANY SHAPE OR FORM with them.

    • Timmm

      June 20, 2016 at 9:00 am

I know, Alexis is a successful lawyer, she can do better! She doesnt need a two bit thug under her roof!

    June 19, 2016 at 12:17 pm

I know what I’ve watched on my screen for the past 3 years. The love story between Julian & Alexis was beautiful and it was real. This overnight rewrite by GH is infuriating and insulting to its viewers. This is not the same Julian, especially regarding his behavior towards Alexis. Nevertheless, it’s a soap and anything can be rewritten, good or bad (clearly!). Any character can be redeemed. So GH can rewrite their rewrite now. Julexis is the best couple on the show and too beloved by viewers to just throw away. I’d love to see an explanation on screen for Julian’s recent behavior and I would love to see Julian & Alexis work their way back together again. This is GH’s chance to write an epic love overcomes all obstacles story for them. I want Julian & Alexis back together and stronger than ever.

    • Harry

      June 19, 2016 at 11:33 pm

Love story? Kelly, this was the Story of O. I never saw any love or romance transpire between these two.

      • Celia

        June 21, 2016 at 5:29 am

Yes, I agree, Harry. There was no love story here. This was a ‘rutting’ story….anytime, anywhere.
Once that euphoria calmed down….there wasn’t much left for Julian. Going back to his hunting ground was his diversion.
The fact is, Molly, a young woman without much life experience had the sense to set her mother straight about Julian. I still remember their argument, as Molly was folding her laundry, LOL. Alexis took no heed.
Seriously, though, In retrospect, we all think ‘I should’ve; could’ve; would’ve”. However, when one is at a certain time in her/his life, especially Alexis, who has had so many scars from past romantic experiences; should have learned not to step in muck or hot coal.

    • nancy dillingham

      June 20, 2016 at 6:41 am

Not beautiful and NOT REAL. Julian is a MOBSTER, a deceiver, a coward–I won’t go on.
“Best couple” and “beloved”? Not by this viewer.
And, I beg to differ–this is not an “overnight rewrite”–Julian has always been a MOBSTER.

    • Kat Hilderbrand

      June 20, 2016 at 10:10 am

      • Celia

        June 20, 2016 at 7:28 am

Lol, Harry. That sardonic humor always gets to me!!
Whatever Alexis and Julian had/have was built on a lie. He always projected himself to her as something he was not….as someone who had changed….as someone who had left his life of crime behind. Sadly, she bloated his ego. Now, she is left with a bitter taste in her mouth and probably a sense of self-loathing.
Sure, I can sort of believe he, himself, believed it….but, a life of crime is in his DNA; so firmly embedded within his essence (as is Sonny’s) that it would be an Herculean task to uproot. I foubt these people think they do anything untoward or criminal.
Perhaps the ‘heroic’ act could be done by a ‘bigger’ man, but not a lesser man such as he.
I see Julian as a coward; a usurper who shields himself behind a woman who still lives in another life of young love and fantasy. Julian sooooo took/takes advantage of that: period!!
This is the reason I appreciate the writing surrounding Alexis. Her eyes are no longer ‘wide shut’. She is showing strength. She is fierce, yet, somewhat vulnerable.
I want to hear Alexis shout, “I AM WOMAN, HEAR ME ROOOAAARRR”.
I hope her hurt, her feeling of dejection are the tools needed to arm her with courage and compuction.
“Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Scorned”.

I have always hated the Jeromes. ALL of them! Alexis has never had any emotional intelligence she got what she deserved. Nancy always does exceptional work and I think ending Julexis will give her even more meaty materia

    • Celia

      June 19, 2016 at 7:33 pm

Agreed, Soapnexis. Julian is a big, fat, painful thorn in Alexis’s side.
Imagine the storyline(s) that could be had without dragging that ball and chain (Julian) around.
It seems to me that Julian is not worth much without Alexis. She seems to be the air in his lungs. Not so, she!!
Alexis can sail on her own steam. So, TPTB should just give Nancy the material Alexis deserves, as you suggest.

    • nancy dillingham

I’m just delighted that NLG is being given great stuff to play after having been back burnered for so many years prior to Julexis.

Too little, too late. Alexis has been stupid too long to merit any sympathy from this viewer.

Nancy…o-h, y-e-s!!!!! And, in Alexis’s case, the stupidity continues. BEYOND DUMB!!!!!

        Take care, Nancy.

      • Melissa

        June 20, 2016 at 7:53 am

But I think the writers are acknowledging that the character has made bad choices. Alexis seems to understand that her choices have gotten her into this position. If they break up Julexis (and it’s hard to imagine anything less than a break-up can happen), then I hope Alexis is paired with a good guy for once. Maybe Ned?

  25. Gail

    June 19, 2016 at 1:08 pm

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Julexis and hate what the writers have done to them. Nancy Lee Grahn is really bringing her all to these scenes but there was soo much other angst that would have worked for them. Julian struggling with returning to the mob because Alexis’ life was threatened would have been more in character.

    June 19, 2016 at 1:39 pm

They spent years building their love story, and one day decided to change Julian’s character? His love for her is one of the things that made them special. This is NLG’s hottest pairing. I hope they fix the sudden character assassination of Julian. I love their chemistry. Julexis is everything.

    • nancy dillingham

      June 20, 2016 at 6:45 am

I don’t see the chemistry. Never have. Just forced.

I am not a long-time watcher, Jennifer….but, years? I thought julian and Alexis made love not even two years ago. For the second time. The first was in the backseat of a car.
Going right for the kill without really knowing who the person is…..well, It’s stupid and childish. Kids act mindlessly; not mature; been-there-done-that ‘older’ people. It is always the wrong thing to do.
I still think he used her.
Some people go on the same destructive joy ride, over and over….that’s Alexis.
Nonetheless, I have softened toward her because she thought she had finally found her true-blue prince.

      • Celia

        June 20, 2016 at 4:49 pm

Exactly my point, Melissa. This is such compelling writing. This is how I look at it…a bird’s eye view, without prejudice. I do believe the writers have exactly your point in mind. I did mention it a couple of times.
I think it’s genius. This relationship was never going to work. It’s only my opinion….does not make me right OR wrong!!
Why? Because the love was not built on a fundamental basis. The attraction was there….yes. But it was more like finishing something that was started 40 years ago and Alexis wanted to recapture. Along the way, she forgot she was no longer 16.
I am assuming that Alexis has never held love within her grasp….continuously elusive. Finally and suddenly, there’s Julian; a fantasy….the guy who introduced her to womanhood and motherhood, to boot.
For her sake, I hope Julian did not put all this in motion to point the finger at her. However, perhaps, this is what is needed to completely get him out of her system.

        RUN, Alexis.

    June 19, 2016 at 1:52 pm

I guess I’m in the great minority. I never liked Julian and felt he was always using her. Yes, he may have loved her in his own fashion, but not enough to be honest. I also disliked that she had so little common sense, she thought he would change. She’s a brilliant woman with little common sense in her own life. I have never really liked them together. He is now threatening her with what- rape and other abuse. “She better be ready to act as his wife,” or something like that. I hope they do not go back together. I imagine I’ll get hateful comments.

I’m with you! I hope NLG kicks him to the curb and doesn’t look back! Hope the spell is finally broken and she realizes that her love can only heal her and not Julian who has to be what he is…an irredeemable manipulator who never really respected her. He just gave her enough to keep her, all the while doing what he really wanted to do knowing he had no intention of being true to his word.

        June 20, 2016 at 6:46 pm

Yes, get Julian. But the hypocrisy runneth over where Sonny ( and to some extend Anna, as well) is concerned.
And, where is the justice for AJ? We cannot demand justice for one criminal killing another criminal and turn the other cheek where Sonny is concerned when he killed the father of his supposed ‘adopted’ son in cold blood.
I love Anna, but she is glorifying a criminal in Duke. This thing about Duke and Anna is so magnified and pitiful….they weren’ t even together for the longest time. The only reason they got together for a split second, was for Ian’s sendoff.
        Rediculously obvious and unrealistic.

      June 20, 2016 at 7:56 am

The way both Julian and Sonny have treated Alexis has been awful. The “you’re dead to me” comment that Sonny made was abusive and awful. Did nothing to endear Sonny to me, a character I already could live without. Have never really warmed to the character of Julian, even when he was becoming a “good” guy. I didn’t like the way they gave him an “instant” family. And like Sonny, all his children are with different women. It’s kind of gross.

      • Lin

        June 20, 2016 at 5:04 pm

        I agree!

    • Celia

      June 20, 2016 at 11:51 am

No, Lin. We talk the same talk.
Firstly, we comment on how we feel. That’s what you did. That’s what we all do. We express an opinion. It doesn’t make us right or wrong. It does not mean we know better. I happen to agree with your comment.
I never liked Julian or Alexis, but, Alexis has always been honest with her feelings , and because of it, she fell for him headlong….including trusting him.
He, on the other hand, has always been Judas Iscariot.
Julian’s character has not been besmirched because it is a well-known fact he is an assassin, who overpowered Alexis’s senses making her a willing hostage.
Just the threatening tone in his voice and his cryptic words connote a death threat, as well. This is love?? Ha!!
I realize Alexis knew exactly what she was getting into…now she appears the victim. I hope against hope, the writers do not attach this stigma on her….not as a woman. I have actually had enough of women being victimized by men on TV. This should be Alexis’s storyline….cultivate her character by giving her some muscles.

A true testament of love, that !!

      • Lin

        June 20, 2016 at 5:08 pm

I hope she will become stronger and gain some common sense as well. She is supposedly a brilliant lawyer, but is an idiot when it comes to men. It appears from the coming attractions that perhaps he set her up. I hope she does not cave in. I certainly hope she does not go to prison for him. Never liked Julian. but i have to admit part of the problem is the same actor played a horrible man, a rapist on All My Children. I could not stand him- in fact I fast forwarded him at first, as he was mIchael cambias to me, the man who raped Erica’s daughter Bianca. In time I could see him as Julian, who is a saint compared to Michael Cambias, but still a horrible person. I hope this character leaves GH before too long.

      • Celia

        June 20, 2016 at 7:55 pm

Yes, Lin. Now that you mention it, I remember Michael Cambias vividly. I was a senior in High School and those of us, who watched AMC , wanted him gone posthaste.
I want Alexis to get a grip, and as yourself, kick Julian where it hurts.
I anticipate upcoming episodes with a renewed Alexis sans Julian.

    June 19, 2016 at 2:41 pm

As a long time soap viewer I have seen my fair share of happy couples crash and burn, so I am not surprised this is happening, yet disappointed in how it happened.

Personally I would have like to see more doubt on whether or not Julian actually killed Carlos. A nice twist might have been Kristina coming across Carlos on the run and is about to call her father, when he begins attacking her to stop her– then Julian walks in on that. Next we see Carlos dead, but we don’t know who killed him Kristina? She could have her mommy’s knife on her– Julian? But did he do it to stop Carlos from ratting him out or to protect Alexis daughter? Did he make it look like he did it, to deflect the cops from Kristina or did he kill Carlos for attaching her? That way, we could wonder if Julian is a good guy or bad guy. We would have to debate if we should be rooting for Julian, for Alexis to trust him, even if all the evidence looks like he did it or did he just kill him in the way they showed? And wouldn’t it be absolutely delightful if in time Sonny found out he OWED Julien taking the blame for his daughter or because he protected her from Carlos?

Oh well, as it, who could blame Alexis from kicking him to the curb. Who wants to be sleeping next to someone you don’t know if they will slit your throat in the middle of the night or not? Why redeem Julien only to destroy the character again? And it looks like we are heading for a Nina Julian pairing– she has him squirming, because he can’t kill her because he needs her for an alibi — so she is one woman he can’t control, so that might be fun thing to watch for a while, but not for a long term romance.

    • nancy dillingham

      June 20, 2016 at 6:49 am

We saw him put the knife in–can’t change that.
Re Julian and NIna–a pair, you say? Just the “ingredients” needed for a “love” pairing–one killer and one blackmailer.” What more could one want (NOT)??

      • Mary SF

        June 20, 2016 at 9:15 am

I’m not saying change it, now it is too late, my point was I wished they would have made it more layered from the get go, using an example in one of the ways they could have done it. I wasn’t speculating there could be a twist in the story–

And I didn’t say I wanted Nina and Julian as a pair, but you can see that development coming a mile away, and the only thing that makes that situation palpable to me, is at least Nina is in the driver’s seat, and if done right the writers could have a bit of fun with it, to torment Julian, but as I stated as a long term romance, no way.

      • Celia

        June 21, 2016 at 7:42 am

        @Mary SF.
I know exactly what you meant, Mary. To the letter.
As far as Nina and Julian? I, also, had mentioned something way back. I could smell the coffee brewing a mile away.
For Nina’s sake I hope this ‘tragedy’ happens when elephants nest in trees.

Alexis and Julian are a very dry couple.
They don’t do anything together, nothing, they just kiss and argue.
We have a law abiding lawyer married to a crime lord, and yet nothing intriguing about them.
    Their story has been uneventful/boring..
Even now the arrest and all that whole mess has been very dry of intruge, drama, suspense, that has not included in their story ..

I love Julexis! Although I am not a fan of the current storyline it is giving NLG and WDV great material and they are killing it! Julian is desperate to keep his family together and protect all he did to get out and make a better man for his family and Alexis. That is where his “creepiness” lies; in his desperation. I think Alexis should love him for the man he is and wants to be no matter what, with some fun twists and turns along the way. Isn’t that why we watch?!!

Julian is head of the Jerome mob, he is crime lord and he is hardass killer.
He should be written as Julian the crime lord, that is his character,
Julian is who and what he is, he is not a pansy powderpuff grandpa!!

No Su, it’s like writers writing about relationships which are a huge part of soaps; always have been. Watch The Flash, Game of Thrones, How To Get Away With Murder. All fantastic shows which I love. They have the excitement, challenge, danger, fun that you (and I and countless others like). But they’re completely different genres than GH. It’s the same reason you didn’t like Nashville, which by the way six million voices who do were heard and it lives again! But you just don’t like watching shows about people, relationships, friendships, love. A lot of people do.

I said this on another post to you; I do agree with SOME of what you dont like in new Julian,,,he lost his bad boy/tough guy edge. I LOVE his loving side as a husband, father, stepdad, brother and grandfather. NONE of that makes him a senior citizen or old/ grandpa-ish. What I don’t like is how he lets Sonny threaten him, barge into his home without throwing him out and doesn’t seem to be able to physically spa with him. Gotta get that part of Julian back and yet still reatain his loving, human side.

Julian and Alexis are grat together. Awesome family ties. A true opportunity for a super couple with a modern day mixed family. Not sure why the writers are choosing to forget the Julian we saw for the last three years and give us the cold psychopath version in the last two months. So disappointing.

      June 20, 2016 at 9:05 am

I kmow WHY they did it; to throw Alexis into a moral dilemma and emotional upheaval, to show that a man weaned in the mob can’t break the “habit” or desire for power and living on the edge as easily as he thought he could. Julian thought he could have it all…lay low, be the silent power without Alexis ever having to find out. Unfortunately it’s all unravellnng. I do love them together though. Not sure if they’ll find their way back or if they’re going to pair him with Nina. We shall see…

I agree with Harry regarding the absolute revulsion I feel for Sonny. It really is so ludicrous for him to judge Julian and walk around like a pompous ass as he ridicules Alexis’ and Julian’s relationship and calls Julian scum, lowlife, etc. Sonny, who many of us have already mentioned, who killed AJ in cold blood, who hung AJ from a meat hook, who tried to kill Jax, who threatened to kill Carly if Olivia died, who had sex with Ava in the Q crypt by the resting place of AJ. Sonny, who just days ago menacingly threatenef Alexis just for standing by Julian, as if his wife (wives) didnt always do the same for him. Once again, his whole attitude is sickening to watch; moreso because no one calls him out on it.

I don’t agree with you Patrick as you mentioned Alexis’ age, Crap! I had hoped we were done with this subject. Why is her age important? Is she supposed to be grateful she’s having sex at her age? Found love ar her age? The answer to both is no. She’s a woman, a person, a human being who was in love. I don’t think she thought she was in love, I think she was and still is. She wasn’t misguided by lust; she felt lust for the man she loved, as we all hopefully do.And I believe Julian loved and still loves her.

Enter Jax. I know he’ll be involved with the “will the real owner of Jocelyn’s kidney please step forward” but he is Alexis’ best friend. He’ll probably be a force trying to help her, in the same way he tried to deter Carly from Sonny.

I can’t imagine Julian framed Alexis though who knows, IF he did it’s way too much a stretch. I don’t believe he’d ever hurt her.

On another note, Alexis and Nicolas are very close. I guess we’re to assume she’s so upset she wouldnt have time to react to his presumed death? Writers! Please, it shouldn’t be that difficult to give a character several devastating issues to deal with at once…just like it sometimes falls out in life. Not one mention of it from her? She wasn’t at the gathering Laura put together? You’ve got to tie up your loose ends GH writers…

Julian is trash. Always has been. I hoped they would reconcile because they have a loyal fanbase but after the way he’s treated her the last few weeks I wouldn’t care if he got killed off the show or went to jail. How could Alexis ever take him back after this? I won’t respect her if she does. I can’t .

    June 20, 2016 at 6:03 am

I disliked this couple from the beginning. Alexis needs to ask for a plea and tell all. Once she does, she can can wear a wire and go home and get a confession from Julian. Police enters, he takes Julia hostage. Sonny and Anna were hiding in the kitchen, just as they come out, Julia elbows him and Sonny and Anna empty their guns and kill Julian.
    Now that’s justice!

  38. rebecca1

    June 20, 2016 at 6:14 am

Su, what do the other couples do that make them more interesting than Alexis and Julian? All soaps go back and forth between harmony and disharmony. Alexis is a beloved character who’s had many obstacles: her daughter slept with her husband, she had lung cancer, het mother was murdered, her sister was blown up, she had an affair with Sonny, she pushed her sister’s murderer to his death, she had a great relationship with Ned, s beauiiful friendship with Jax…all the while being razor sharp, sassy and funny. She was the sane, loving aunt and confidante to her nephew Nicolad when he was being pressured by evil Casssdines…(Where did this great aunt-nephew relationship go, writers?)
Through it all Alexis is a character most of us love and root for. Julian coming along in her life, her feelings for him weighed against his being in the mob, her frequent breakups when he couldn’t/wouldnt break free, him finally doing so because of his love for her and his kids, was all genuine. It was great in terms of a love story for him to choose her and family over “the life”. Something Sonny never did even after his sons were almost killed and his wife Lilly died in a car bomb. He never involves them in his business? He puts their lives at risk every day! And Sam? Diane? They’revall lecturing her to go against Julian? Would Sam go against Jason? Diane against Max?
So, IF one is emotionally invested in Alexis and likes Julian, their story is not boring or dry. Its’s full of angst, heartbreak, disillusionment, broken promises, anguish…internal conflict as Alexis has to turn against a man she loved so much, doubt her choices, incur the hideous wrath of Sonny. It’s husband against wife, a love unraveling. All these elements are “soapy” as they should be, as soaps have always been and should be about relationships…Watching Alexis go through emotional trauma, watching Julian try to hold on to her while at the same time faced with rhe possibility she’d turn him in, is dramatic. Now her being accused, the blood…again, soapy drama. What I don’t want to believe or find out is that Julian framed her as I truly believe he still loves her (I dont believe he ever used or deceived her about his feelings).
I like Julian. But by taking him out of the mob they made him too powerless against Sonny. I didn’t appreciate that turn…he lost his edge. Sonny beat him in front of Alexis in their living room? This is Julian Jerome!
In that sense I agree with you. But I wish they’d found a way to make Julian powerful and not easily intimidated by Sonny without trashing the ways they redeemed him.
Someone posted here that Willuam Devry’s cobtract was up and he was leaving GH. Hope that’s not the case.

this part really rankled with me

all this trumpeting and parading Sonny … how grand is he?

that’s when Alexis and Julian should have had more dialogue… to see how they should have dealt with each other

I felt for Julian… the actor himself… must have been livid to have to assassinate his own character that way

“…So, IF one is emotionally invested in Alexis and likes Julian,”

right now… it just seems like no way out of this… as it stands… we all know she’s not guilty and going to go down…. it looked like Jordan, Paul want Alexis to hang Julian

and Anna and sonny discussing theirs no way ALexis did this

You bet, Jay….as we saw today, Julian is worse than Sonny, in some ways.
I could not believe what he said to Alexis when she walked in her house, after making bail and found him there…..
He basically told her he was not expecting her to be ‘freed’. It was as though he was sure she would not be let go. He should have been so excited to have seen her….instead…..
So, where’s the love? We protect those we love; not throw them to the hounds….or wolves; whatever the saying is. LOL.
Why are the writers having Julian channel a kind of Carlos seemingly on his side? Urging him to do Alexis harm? Shouldn’t Carlos be bare his feral teeth at him in anger?
I suppose he is giving himself (Julian, that is…) a reason to kill Alexis. I think it was the underlying message ……It’s kill or live the rest of his life in prison. Later.

I knew once Julian was back in the fold of mob there was going to be big changes. The changes are unfolding in this storyline. The current storyline is great to watch as NLG is fabulous to watch and she should be nominated for the Emmy as Lead Actress next year and win.

Cut and dried Alexis should be able to divorce him and move on. It never is cut and dried on the soaps. LOL My feeling has always been she should have known better. Remember she would not stay with Shawn because he was Sonny’s enforcer. This past experience should have been a red alert for Alexis not to be with Julian at all.

I want Alexis to triumph and Julian go down at storyline end. If she needs help from Jax and Sonny or whoever so be it.

Personally, I wish GH would do away with the mob. it was fine 20 years ago, but now it doesn’t appeal to the masses. It never has appealed to me.

In Alexis’s world, why the sad face? She has rubbed elbows with Sonny, Ric and Shawn. Its not like she didnt know how this would end? But anyway, Julian murdered someone and thats tough to swallow if your lying next to someone in bed that murdered another human. BUT, it was Carlos, a low life scum bag who killed Duke. So what, in their world. Now, if Julian would have killed Lila or Edward, okay, but stuff but Julian killed a mobster. So what!

    • Celia

      June 20, 2016 at 5:27 pm

You’re right, Timmm. I will not contradict a word in your comment. She was enmeshed with bad people; mobsters, her entire life.
So, don’t you find it interesting, a challenge, if you will, that the writers have switched lanes so suddenly? Nancy has so much to offer. Thus, the change of venue.
Julian and Alexis, as a couple, have no story left. Their story was always the same. Same beginning; same ending…..all in bed. You’ve seen it once; not much left to see. He, in his speedos. She, in her spanx. LOL.
They needed to be split up. Julian will probably go to jail, and get out on a technicality; giving Alexis the chance to get it together.
So, then, my Timmmy. I get it….I get your point….Who’s ‘gonna’ give Carlos, the dog, the time of day? Maybe his child?
What makes Duke better than Carlos? Because he had a British/Scottish accent? Because he has fans? He gave me the weebie-jeebies.
Anna is still following this ridiculous vengeance….so droll.
      I need patience, Timmmy! LOL.

Hi Cee, you see this too often where writers switch lanes and even worse when they rewrite history. It is lazy and it pisses off the fan base! Your right though, their dog and pony show is over, either Julian will end up with Nina or Alexis will rethink her loyalties and there will be a triangle. Speaking of Nina, we see a little fire in her now. Could it be that Jean and Shelly, who wrote for Y&R are channeling RED now? Its okay, “Coma Nina” sucked. I also want her to move away from FREAKO! And again, I agree with you, why all the tears and praise for Duke? He was a thug with a fancy kilt. Yes Anna loved him but Duke isnt so different than Julian. Anna, if you have an itch, let ROBERT scratch it! Later sweetie!

        June 21, 2016 at 8:40 am

        Hey, Timmmy,
You noticed, too? Yeees!!!! I see traces of Red coming to the fore. More power to Nina. “I’m all shook up” over it. LOL.
However, as much as Franco is past history, I definitely do not want Juliass in her line of vision, either.
I really do want Julian gone, gone, gone.
        Later, babes.

@Celia…..What made Duke better than Carrrrrr-LOS???? Grooming and a great wardrobe, bien sur! Oh, and Mr. Lavery knew how to tango!!!!!! Hahaha…. As for “Spanx and Speedos,” that one really works for me….much better than the pathetic portmanteau of ” Julexis”

She needs to superdump the guy and not look back. The Jeromes are all bad news. Ask Anna Devane. They ruined hers and Duke’s entire lives. As a Classic viewer of GH, their “love story” does not impress partly because of Jules’ history but also because of the writing this time around; it’s clear he hasn’t changed one iota, and in fact is worse, and the domestic abuse scenes do not make for an empowered couple.

I do love how it’s now cool to leave the mob for your woman because it used to be in the classic days as well. Duke testified against the mob twice to be with Anna and expressed his regret to the community, did prison time, went on probation, and paid a fine. I just think that a redemption story for Julian has never been written to make it believable, and there were horrible acts of crime that he commited in 2013-15 then again this year. For him to shoot Paget in 1990 (who Anna thought was Duke) then send the Real Duke to Turkish prison followed by his threatening to kill Anna in 2014 which effectively forced Duke back into the mob ending in his finally offing Duke again, makes me feel so much contempt for the man. This guy has become, in many ways, someone who has done worse harm to them than Faison.

I hope Anna puts him away for good. It will be a satisfying end to the Justice for Duke story, and if we need more Jeromes to be the bad guys, we have Ava and can always bring back some of the others. No loss for the show.

Love that Nancy can finally have stong material to work with. What I’ve really been interested in is seeing the way Alexis has had to mentally and emotionally move in the direction of denial to where she is now. I think her strength will eventually win out. I hope. A little sad because I really believed there was genuine love between Alexis and Julian, and it wasn’t just them “getting reacquainted” in bed, a lot. And that there was real family stuff that I think was new for Julian, and maybe he was also in denial at one point and thought he could step out of the crime life. Or is this just a way to write him off the page? Because he seems out of character in his treatment of Alexis recently.

But like a lot of other commenters, I’m just so sick of the bad guys, no matter how charming or “legit,” or who will do anything to protect their families (and fail) always seem to get away with their crimes with little or no consequences…both from the legal system or their family members (“Yes” Michael Q/C…I’m looking at you).

And It’s not just what they’ve done with Alexis. Writers have done a real disservice to Anna as well…just in other ways. I’m tired of her preoccupation with finding “justice” for Duke’s murder, and what it’s turning her into. While she might be pursuing the truth, I don’t think she’s thinking clearheaded, if that makes sense. Even though she seemed to get it when she tried to bond with Alexis as two smart women who fell in love with crooks. I must admit to liking Duke (Ian) though. And “no” to Andre, another train wreck. Luckily it’s looking like she’s not interested, but you can never trust the writers for not wanting a “love” triangle.

      June 21, 2016 at 11:45 am

it’s not like it’s difficult to imagine… a life in the mob

where one’s mentality is that every one… is expendable

      so…. ??? what

a man and/or woman… needs that – one – significant other… who is going to align themselves (ala Bonnie and Clyde) no matter what

naturally on soaps you need tension discord mayhem…. infighting…. argh!

at least GH is steering away from Sonny and Carly… for a bit

and now that it’s story time for Alexis and Julian… this is how FAST their marriage has gone down

this is a soap GH writers …. cut NLG’ Alexis some slack

if this ends up that her character decides “it’s the right thing to do” and she’s the moral compass forever and a day

      and this couple flounders…

is this not just a scapegoat… for Sonny to keep doing what he’s doing… that it could very well happen to him… and he’s keeping one step ahead of the law ?

I respect what a poster said… that GH epicenter if you will… is Maurice Benard’ Sonny.

I do not think his acting is that engaging… I do not see a natural to and fro with Carly.

so… things happen in and around Sonny and Carly

it’s weird cause I’ve got to put out their… because of WD’ acting… he’s the reason I still want to hold on to this couple… at least for keeping him on the show

would he spark that much more… with Nina ? I think so… would she lessen the leash on his livelihood… or is their too much baggage with Nina wanting a child… or they forego that to see Passion ignite… because they are hot… and we’d get to see Julian and Nina in new direction

Alexis is the right side of the law
Julian is on the wrong side of the tracks

      a middle was reached

it’s weary to post too much more….

because their is a lot of untap going here… with A and J ? or their characters had that much more exploration of themselves… that we never really got to see… it went from sex to sex and backburner… and now it’s all muddled

ok rant and two cents no change

      Hi, Rose,
Not so out of character for Julian….he has always been a weasely snake and coward.
Do you remember when Danny was seriously ill; needing Julian’s bone marrow, or was it plasma?
Well, Julian used Danny to blackmail Sonny when he found out Julian’s true identity. He has no loyalty or holds fealty to anyone but himself.
Now, he is doing the same thing by letting his wife fry for his crime.

      • Celia

        June 21, 2016 at 1:31 pm

        Sorry…sent too soon. LOL
I wanted to say that I, also, question the writers’s intention. Julian was on the path of ‘righteousness’ (lol) for a while; at least, trying….so, I am assuming that William is either leaving or, as a few of us commented, Julian and Nina are dancing around a possible relationship….of the sexual kind.
If Nina’s ‘advances’ towards Franco are any indication; she’s hot to trot. Getting antsy much?? LOL.

      • Rebecca1

        June 21, 2016 at 7:34 pm

C..Julian truly loves Danny and offered his blood before he knew (Sam and Alexis didn’t know either) that he was Danny’s grandfather. From that point on I knew he was capable of compassion and love. As far as using that against Sonny, that was a smart call. Julian didn’t help Danny because of that, but It was great that Sonny couldn’t kill him because of it and he let Sonny know it. Nothing wrong with that..

      • Celia

        June 21, 2016 at 8:44 pm

Thank you for the explanation. I must have forgotten how it all went down. I really thought that Julian had been told Danny was his grandson, but would not help unless Sonny kept his mouth shut.
Needless to say, neither Sonny nor Julian is on my list of favorites. Each has committed despicable acts from which there is no return… least, not for me.

      • Rebecca1

        June 22, 2016 at 3:32 am

Lol, you’re welcome. I like Julian, a lot, so I had to clear his name, at least in that instance. I’m not trying to change your mind, but If anyone really looks at this character since William Devry came on the canvas (I heard, but never knew Juluan Jerome from back in the day so his history is more criminal, dangerous it seems than what this incarnation’s been) he’s been nothing but supportive and loving to Lucas, open enough to change his original reaction to Lucas being gay, loving and supportive to Sam, saved Danny’s life when he was just a complete stranger ( as mentioned above) tried to make peace with Molly and understood why she rightly resented him and has truly loved Alexis. His desire to change for her was real, buy like an addict he fell off the wagon, not intentionally trying to hurt her. (by the way, though Molly has a right to dislike Julian for framing Rick, her father, I’m not sure she gets that Rick, a character I love too but who makes me livid as well) has done equal if not worse things than Julian. So her disdain of him and her warning her mother against Julian is frustrating…same for Christina who loves her father Sonny…etc.
By the way, we do agree on Nina and Franco. Love each of them, together or apart.

      • Rose

        June 22, 2016 at 3:47 am

Plus Julian strong armed Alexis into defending Carlos for killing Duke when she was at her most vulnerable, mixed up state. Why? Because she’s a great lawyer. So when she says to him that the evidence against her now is a slam dunk ( with Diane as her lawyer), why does he still say plead not guilty? Why is her learned opinion/expertise good enough for Carlos, but not good enough for her own assessment of her chances? Jerk!

      • Celia

        June 22, 2016 at 6:20 am

Why, Rose? I am no expert in psychoanalyzing the writers’s ‘fertile’ brain; but, the viewer is supposed to sit back and accept that which makes no sense….or just doesn’t compute.
At this point, we are to feel pity for Alexis because she is Julian’s scapegoat. Well, it’s working for me. She looked like a little lost bird chained to that table, albeit I did detect a strong sense of self and pride.
I hope she keeps it up. But, as it always comes to pass, in soaps, Julian will scoop her up at the eleventh hour and be the hero. …..expecting the viewer to forgive and forget that it was he who put her in that precarious situation to begin with…whew!!!!!! Forgive the run-on-sentence….all in one breath. LOL.

  44. Patrick

    June 21, 2016 at 9:02 am

IT – really – is… just TIME…. for Nancy Lee Grahn character to “change”

she’s got to stray from her moral virtue that’s cloaked and daggered her persona

she’s wound so tight… that it was fun to watch her contemplate her should she or shouldn’t she… cross over… and cross that imaginary world of contempt

we never see her in the courts… as much as she’s lauded for her legalese… she certainly doesn’t have that expertise in her personal life

as for Julian ! well I will never forget that HE is the one… who murdered my beloved Carlos… so … i’m always reminded when I see him

which is neither her nor their… as much as I loved Duke… and Anna still wants his murder brought to justice

I think Alexis can accept Julian for who he is…. we could go round and round … if she loves this man… then it really is what he’s looking for…. a support system… perhaps the only one… in his life… ( just like Sonny is so reliant on Carly ) it’s just getting to that step

I don’t have hope for this couple… they differ in so many areas

    let’s see Alexis “change”

did Julian try…. he didn’t succeed

all of this could have been abated had Alexis told Julian about his bloody shirt
    she was hiding as evidence

so they both held out on each other

    ???? I guess in this respect…

    • Patrick

      June 21, 2016 at 9:07 am

      diss : ???? I guess in this respect…

Julian and Alexis have a HUGE following… can’t deny that

I really watched as Julian was sharing with Olivia…. as she asked whats going on with you two… why are you checked in @ the Metro

he didn’t come across too convincingly when he told Olivia… “I truly loved her”

as Olivia repeats…. LOVED past present

      • Rebecca1

        June 21, 2016 at 7:43 pm

Patrick, it’s interesting that you mentioned Alexis is wound too tight regarding her morals because she’s been criticized on this board for loving a criminal…and blamed for being a hypocrite and going against her morals. I feel the writers read these boards and incorporate fan reaction. All of a sudden characters in the show ie Carly, Sonny, Sam, Diane etc are saying Alexis was led by lust and is compromising her values…all egging her on to do the right thing. I find THAT galling…each one of them loves Sonny and/or Jason ( Diane loves Max and they were always insinuating what a hot sex life they had…and Sonny lives himself, lol and Jason). But Alexis is “on trial” for loving Julian? Talk about a double standard…

  45. rebecca1

    June 21, 2016 at 9:34 am

I think your suggestions were great Mary SF and would have been a path back for Alexis and Julian. But I guess the writers wanted to throw this wrench into their relationship…good drama but I’d like to see a rekindled outcome. Not sure how they’d manage that but if Carly, Liz, Diane, Brenda, Olivia, Tracy, Sam…even Epiphany! (who did I leave out, lol) could love guys in the mob…why shoildn’t Alexis! 😉

  46. rebecca1

    June 21, 2016 at 9:42 am

@Rose…I still believe the love was real between Julian and Alexis; he just gave in to his impulse to get back in the business…as did Duke. Neither one stopped loving Alexis/Anna.
As for Anna, I don’t think she was sincerely bonding with Alexis…at this point she’s only interested in getting Julian so she used their similar circumstances to manipulate Alexis into talking…which is why Alexis told her “where to go.”

  47. Patrick

    June 21, 2016 at 12:18 pm

OK GH… you’ve had your “fun”

    all this up in arms….

simply make Carlos alive… and Julian and Alexis CAN

and SHOULD get to know each other

    argh… there’s no happy medium , here?

Anna listen to father Griffin…. and let go and find peace…

Carlos was so on the money… it was mob ties that bind…. a kill for a kill and eye for an eye

  48. Rebecca1

    June 22, 2016 at 3:15 am

Oh please, Nancy. it ‘s so obvious Julian loves Alexis. And, lol, he’s not going to kill her. Back seat of a car? They never said they were in love back then…they were young and had a one night stand. Attracted then; attracted now. Their attraction grew into love. Yes, love. Just because the writers finally gave Alexis a relationship again, complete with…gasp!…sex, doesn’t mean it wasn’t love. Just because this is a soap and we’re not with characters all day, doesn’t mean (Nancy, Harry)…that ALL they did was have sex. The writers rightly decided to show a middle-aged couple (yes, William is not too far from 50 so enough with the ( to the few who have said this) “he’s too young for her” he’s younger than her, but not TOO young for her) doesn’t mean that’s all they did. It’s what we saw…at the beginning. When was the last time we had a sexual scene from A&J. Not for a while. No, we saw them at home, at the Metro Court, at Crimson, discussing San. Lucas, the magazine…
If they get back together I’d like to see more of their rapport developed. Alexis has such a sharp wit and Julian plays off her well. They have the potential to be quite charming together, if given that chance.

GH’s Mark Lawson Fuels At-Home Workout With Soap Opera Competition: “Dante, Dante, Dante, Dominic, Dominic, Dominic … But What About Dustin?”

As fans and colleagues of General Hospital and former One Life to Live star, Mark Lawson (Dustin, GH) know, he often posts on his Instagram account at-home workouts from his garage including: exercises with: kettlebells and free weights. In real-life, Lawson is a fitness guru, as well.

In one of his most recent posts over the holiday weekend, Mark used the constant chatter of a potential return of Dominic Zamprogna to GH to reprise his role of Dante Falconeri (which would pit Mark’s school teacher alter-ego Dustin at-odds with Dante, for the love of Lulu (Emme Rylan)) to charge up his workout routine! So what’s a guy to do?  Bicep curls!

Next, fueling his workout in a hilarious send-up, Lawson, as he is curling dumbbells remarks: “You want Dante back? Dante, Dante, Dante … Dominic,Dominic,Dominic … It’s all you talk about.  It’s all you care about, but what about Dustin?  What’s up with Dustin?  Where’s good guy Dustin? School teacher Dustin, who never shot nobody.  Never hurt anybody and all he wanted was a girlfriend.   All everybody talks about is Dante, Dante, Dante. Dominic, Dominic, Dominic.”

You can watch Mark’s IG post below!

Then let us know, if you hope there will be some healthy soap opera competition for the love of Lulu down the line between Dustin and Dante, if Dominic returns to the show.  If he does return, would you be Team Dustin or Team Dante? Share your thoughts via the comment section.

GH’s Michael Easton Posts “Ask Me Anything” Part Two

Over the coronavirus pandemic General Hospital star Michael Easton (Hamilton Finn) has been answering several fans questions posted to him in a series of posts on his official Facebook page.

This week, Easton posted part two of his “Ask Me Anything”, and the fan favorite said he he will do his best to get through everyone’s questions and thanked those who made donations to America Health Care Workers and food banks during COVID-19.

In part two; questions ranged from: his connection with his on-screen brother played by Josh Swickard, if he would ever consider a return to Days of our Lives to reprise the role of Tanner Scofield (his first soap role), what is his favorite part of playing Hamilton Finn, and the casting of his on-screen daughter Violet played by Jophielle Love and more.

One question posed to Easton revolved around the just completed Daytime Emmys, when he was asked: “How many times have you submitted yourself for the Emmys? Some actors seem to put a real emphasis on being nominated but you don’t seem to care that much?”

Michael responded: “I’m pacing myself. I’ve maybe submitted three or four times in twenty years. It’s a lovely honor but not something I focus on. Everyday I try to give the best, most truthful performance I can and as I long as I can do that…I live with myself.”

Make sure to “Like” Michael’s official Facebook page, if you have not already to see more of his “Ask Me Anything’s”

So, what are your hopes for Hamilton Finn when Michael returns to taping new episodes of General Hospital in the future?

WATCH: 47th Annual Daytime Emmy Winners Virtual Interviews

This year’s 47th annual Daytime Emmy Awards were back on television for the first time since 2011, and back on CBS.  Due to the times we are living in the throes of the coronavirus pandemic, the usual kudofest, honoring the best in daytime programming, had to move from its originally scheduled live event to a virtual one.

That also means for us at Michael Fairman TV, the usual backstage “Winner’s Walk” interviews conducted immediately following some of your daytime drama favorites big wins also had to altered for this unique year.

So we had our own, if you will, “Virtual Winner’s Walk” albeit without the walk and without the glitz and glamour.  That being said, it all felt much more intimate as we spoke immediately following Friday night’s broadcast with these newly crowned winners:  Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series winner, The Young and the Restless’ Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott); Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series winner, The Bold and the Beautiful’s Heather Tom (Katie Logan Spencer); who tied One Life to Live’s Erika Slezak (Ex-Viki) with the most wins by an actress in Daytime Emmy history with 6,  Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series winner, The Young and the Restless’ Bryton James (Devon), and Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series winner, The Young and the Restless’, Eva Larue (Ex-Celeste).  All four of these conversations were emotional, candid, and touching.

Over the weekend, we caught up with Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series winner, Tamara Braun (Ex-Kim Nero, General Hospital) for another heartfelt chat on her second all-time win in the category, and Outstanding Writing Team in a Drama Series winner, The Bold and the Beautiful’s executive producer and head writer, Brad Bell, who won this award for the fifth time in his career as he shared how much he learned from his late legendary parents and Y&R and B&B co-creators: Lee Phillip Bell, who was part of the In-Memoriam tribute on the telecast, and the late Bill Bell.

Each of these interviewsare also posted on The Michael Fairman Channel on You Tube.  Make sure to “subscribe” to the channel for more celebrity interviews and features.

Now watch the reactions, thoughts and emotions of this year’s major Daytime Drama Emmy winners below!  Then let us know, who you were most excited about being honored with the Emmy, and more via the comment section .
