On Monday’s June 24th episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) was in for a rude awakening. Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) returned from Paris with Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) in tow, as well as “Paris” Buckingham (Diamond White) who was wearing a beautiful engagement ring on her finger.

When Hope saw the trio together as a unit and Douglas calling Paris “mom,” the look on her face was not only shocked, but shattered.  In her mind, it seems that Hope thought perhaps Thomas would come running back to her? After all, she turned down the guy’s marriage proposal twice, but apparently Paris accepted it within three months.

All this sets the stage for the story ahead. Can Thomas sustain his feelings for Paris? Is he on the rebound? What will Hope do next? Many questions to be answered.

Matthew Atkinson spoke to Soap Opera Digest on the pivotal moment for the duo known as ‘Thope” and more. First, in finding out where Thomas was at in the story when Atkinson returned from a short break, he expressed, “The perspective I had from Thomas was he’s literally doing everything he possibly can to move on from Hope and sort of the devastation of being with someone you love, finally getting the person that you love and then being with someone you love and then them not showing that reciprocal excitement to progress the relationship. He had to move on. But coming back and being with her in person, I think it’s a constant process of trying to push down (unresolved) feelings for Thomas.”

However, on the moment, Hope sees Thomas with Paris and Douglas as a unit, Atkinson shared, “I think that Thomas genuinely has always cared and loved Hope. And seeing her hurt hurts him.” He added “The last thing he’s ever wanted to do is hurt her. So I think that it just makes him sad. I think he empathizes with Hope in those moments.”

So, what did you think of Hope’s reaction to seeing Thomas, Paris and Thomas together? Are you rooting for Thope to get back together? Do you think Hope will now be on the rebound with Finn? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

I’m fine with Thomas “moving on” with Paris, but the mom thing was a bit much. It’s been like 3 months and he’s calling Paris mom? And why is Thomas allowing it? Hope basically adopted that child, so whether Thomas & Hope are together or not shouldn’t matter. Hope is his mom. Send that kid to therapy.

How is this soap still on the air? Brad just throws stuff at the wall to see if it sticks

I am hoping that this is just a passing phase. I am definitely team Hope and Thomas. Thomas Hope and Douglas were such the perfect unit. When Douglas called Paris “mom”, I wanted to scream. I know some people are still on the she said no twice but. But Paris? That was definitely out of left field. I really don’t want to see Hope and Finn winding up with each other. But I can feel it coming. Finn is going to whine to Hope about Steffie telling who he can and cannot spend time, Hope is definitely going to cry to Finn about Thomas, and Liam will be sniffing around listening to Steffie bitch and whine about anything that comes her way. And then there is Shelia knowing to quote Deacon, that Hope has the “hots” for Finn. You know she is going to do something with that to pi** off Steffie. And there is the summer in a nutshell. Now I just want to know what is going on with Poppy and Tom. (Deacon’s bus boy/delivery driver.).

Hope and Thomas are breaking my heart this week. AN & MA are so good together. The dialogue Tuesday was so good. Writers need to reunite this couple.

I so much agree with you! Hope and Thomas belong together

I hear you Angela. When Hope was going on about Italy I was really feeling her pain. They do have such fantastic chemistry. It kind of brings me back to the days of Katherine Kelly Lang and Ronn Moss. Those to were fantastic as well. Now we just have to wait and see. I knew Steffie was was going to be thrilled.

I am definitely team Hope and Thomas. When I heard Douglas call Paris “mom”, my heart broke for Hope. I know people are going on about the fact that she said no twice, but deep down I know Thomas still loves her. To jump so quickly into this, I think is obviously his way of getting back at Hope turning him down. I really hope they don’t do a Finn and Hope pairing. Which they probably will. Hope is going to whine to Finn about Thomas, Finn is going to whine to Hope about Steffie dictating to him about who he can and cannot associate with, coupled with the fact that Shelia knows that Hope has to quote Deacon has the hots for Finn, which you know Shelia is going to use to her advantage to get to Steffie, and there it is in a nutshell. Not to mention Liam, Steffie ‘s forever lap dog, listening to Steffie whine and nag about anything that comes to mind. I still want to know what the connection is between Poppy and Tom. (Deacon’s bus boy/delivery driver).

I agree about this Mom thing. Douglas is old enough to say who he wants or doesn’t want to call Mom, and I think he’s actually being unfeeling towards Hope to already jump on the bandwagon, accepting a girlfriend of his dad’s as a new mother. Sorry, but it’s not normal that he just accepts Paris as his mom, I don’t care how nice she is.

I have such mixed emotions about these people. I definitely feel that Thomas is on the rebound, telling himself and others that he’s over Hope and Paris is being a naive, little ninny if she thinks Thomas is ” in love” with her, knowing how much he loved Hope. You don’t turn feelings like his, off like water. The feelings he has for her in the bedroom are not the feelings he has for Hope , in his heart.
These writers have no idea about real love, or they couldn’t write this crap and expect us to buy it!

So true Violet. And after what Thomas did to Paris’ sister, I don’t know how she can trust him enough to think that he will actually go through with it. That was some rock he gave her. She can always sell it when things go south.

B&B are hurting the fans with this! Make so sense in putting Thomas and Paris together when Thomas and Hope should be the true endgame! Let them finally be together! Team #Thope all the way! Reunite #Thope on B&B ❤❤

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”

In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.

It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.

Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?

Published

On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.

As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.

Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.

BROTHERLY LOVE?

Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”

With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”

BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE

Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”

So, who do you think will be the person to blow Cassius’ cover? Will it be Britt herself? Josslyn? Liesl? Brennan? Nina? Lulu? Rocco, Maxie, Cullum or someone else? Let us know your pick in the comment section.
