In the pivotal, Tuesday August 5th episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Finn (Tanner Novlan) has Grace (Cassandra Creech) backed into a corner and gets her to crack, while at the same time, Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope (Annika Noelle) are discussing the coincidence that one Dr. Buckingham gave them a miracle, while the other stole their daughter, Beth.

Liam dubs this the, “Tale of Two Buckinghams.” Just then, for the first time in a long time, B&B flashes back to the heartbreaking moment when Hope and Liam learned that “Beth” had died, only it was coordinated effort by Dr. Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady) to sell the child to pay off his gambling debts and make them believe their child had died. Little do they know, his ex-wife, Grace is just as despicable!

Back at the hospital, Finn demands to know what’s going on with Grace. Angry, Finn shouts that he trusts and respects her and she needs to tell him the truth now. Grace stalls saying the surgery was a success, Liam wanted to live, why do they need to talk about this?

Finn, who has put two and two together knows that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) paying 1 million dollars for the surgery was an insane amount of money, coupled with the fact that the type of incision marks left on Liam were too small for a brain surgery. In addition, there is no record of the supposed expert she flew him from some foreign country for this “experimental” procedure.

Next, Finn tells Grace he doesn’t remember anyone from the neuro team being in Liam’s room. She was the one delivering the findings, and now there are no neurological records at all of Liam’s case. Finn believes its all adding up to the fact that Liam didn’t have an inoperable brain tumor at all! With no place to hide, Grace cracks and says, “I had no choice. I had no choice!” She confesses she made up the brain cancer diagnosis.

Suddenly Grace screams, “They were threatening my girls!” When Finn asked her who, she explained it was people who her ex-husband owed a tremendous gambling debt too, and they knew where her daughter Zoe and Paris lived and where she lived. An emotional Grace shrieks, “I needed the money! I needed the money, I needed the money! I was desperate.”

Meanwhile, in Italy, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) is trying to stop Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) from sailing off with Nick (Jack Wagner) in his boat, since Eric figured out Nick’s plan to propose to Brooke and alerted Ridge. As Ridge tries to locate them, he runs into two boating engineers who tell him Nick’s boat has a steering problem.

Brooke, who is now lounging on the bow of the boat, is enjoying the ride, while Nick’s steering freezes up as another boat gets too close to theirs and Brooke goes overboard. Ridge spots this and jumps into the sea to save her. We fade to black.

So, are you outraged at the story of how Dr. Grace Buckingham pulled off a heinous medical scam on Liam to get $1 million dollars to pay off the debt from her ex-husband? Were you hoping this storyline would ultimately kill-off Liam, or end a different way? What do you think about Ridge jumping into the waters to save his “Logan?” Share your thoughts via the comment section. But first, check out the prologue scenes between Cassandra Creech and Tanner Novlan as Grace starts to unravel below.

Please let Liam croak or be left a mute

Get rid of Steffy..I can’t stand her no dressing, simple, non- CEO appearance…Conceded, nasty attitude…AND FOR CRYING OUT LOUD….TWO IDIOTS FIGHTING OVER THAT SCRAGGY LOOKING RIDGE

Yeah I absolutely agree with everything u just said Crazy mudder fxxkers all of them But I still have to watch it everyday if I can

Absolutely I agree with everything u just said!!! It’s hilarious but I still have to watch it on a daily basis

I love the show. Just don’t like the way Taylor’s role is always portrayed fighting for Ridge against Brooke. I truly believe Brooke needs to move on and have a new love in her life. Taylor deserves to be happy. I do enjoy the change Sheila character with Deacon.

Not to turn this into a race discussion, but I dont like how Bell has now just destroyed any kind of Buckingham storyline. Both Grace and Reese are POC and doctors, no less, and now have trashed both their characters in a RERUN storyline. Reese needed the money years ago to protect Paris and Zoe, now Grace did it for the same reason?! Its just a lame off screen story with no impact. Grace didnt even shed any tears, and I KNOW her portrayer can act bc she was amazing on ATWT as Denise. I just didnt see the need for this. When Reese left town, he left with the money Taylor gave him($50K if I recall) for Baby Phoebe/Beth. Then was allegedly apprehended(again, off screen). I dint even see the point of having a threat of Liam dying to give him a storyline. They have Ivy wasting away in storyline Siberia when they could repair Liam and Ivy! What about a Ivy/Liam/Hope/Finn/Steffy/Carter octagon?! So many other stories they could’ve done.

So true…

Not about race. Please if we want diversity we need to let all people be good bad or somewhere in between.

Not to turn this into a race discussion but let’s turn this into a race discussion.Let people be people without first looking at skin color.

I am just sick of the Ridge & Brooke story back & forth. Let them stay together & live happily ever happen. No realistic married couple goes back & forth as many times as they have. What number are we at now – 10??

Good episode! Wait until everyone finds out the truth about Liam.

I’m so done with B&B. Surprise surprise Ridge saved Brooke so now they’re back together, so now he dumps Taylor again. So predictable. Back and forth between Ridge,Brooke and Taylor. I hope Taylor tells Ridge,Eric and the Logan sisters off for plotting against. Why does Ridge keep going back to Brooke? She’s cheating on him with Bill and Nick. Been married to his father and had a daughter with him. I’m tried of Taylor always losing to Booke. Taylor needs a man to love her only. B&B needs new writers. The show is so predictable. Liam,Steffy and Hope triangle is the same as Ridge, Brooke and Taylor. Now the same storyline with Li taking care of Luna like she did Finn. I’m watching B&B. GH is a much better Soap.

I think i am hoing to stop watching B&B FOR A WHILE, never liked Brook and sick of her and Ridge.

Exactly the writers needs to retire. They socks

I’m sick of the Brooke and Ridge storyline.what man is so in love with a woman that she slept with every male in his family. This story has been unbelievable since the beginning. Then you had steffy and hope going thru the same and don’t forget she slept with her daughter husband

It makes me sick, I left Y&R now leaving B&B

What does Ridge have? He always look unkempt and non appealing….Brooke and Taylor please!!! Eric looks better,

Liam be gone already. Ridge finally got it right. Goodbye Taylor and nick. Poor Grace. I
Guess you will take Lunas place in pridon

I’m so sick of the Ridge and Brooke thing I truly find myself skipping the show lately.

Ridge went into the interview waters

I am tired of the Ridge and Brook story line. Taylor deserves better story lines.

Brook and Ridge belong together!!! ,Taylor need to go away!!!!!!!

I’m glad they didn’t get rid of Liam I like him he’s a nice caring person so what he had two women a lot of men do , so please give him a better story line like Daphne or some other woman not Hope please.

Hope Ridge and brook finally reunite forever this time thats destiny

Let Liam live and him and hope finally get a break and a great love story without ang interference Ridge and Brooke belong together let them be and get some new stuff

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Marlena Looks Back at 50 Years in Salem

Published

The June 22 episode of Days of Our Lives reminded us all of why Deidre Hall is iconic in the role of Dr. Marlena Evans. Here we are 50 years later, and Marlena is still the heroine of the long-running soap opera, and Deidre remains one of the most most recognizable names in the history of soaps.

To pay tribute, and to look back at the life and times of Marlena, the story starts with Marlena flipping through a photo album of her with John (the late Drake Hogestyn) over the years. As she misses him dearly, she gets a knock on the door and its none other than John’s son, Paul Narita (Christopher Sean).

With Andrew (Colton Little) in Salem working on a case, he sits down with Marlena, who says she can’t believe its been fifty years since she first arrived in Salem! Cue: Deidre’s first scenes on DAYS when she finds Mickey Horton (the late John Clarke) playing chess against himself inside the mental institution she worked.

THE FLASHBACKS OF MARLENA’S LIFE

From there, viewers definitely got the cliff notes version of the history of Marlena and entrenched within them, some of the biggest moments in Deidre’s enduring run.

Paul thinks he is looking at 70s, and early 80s Marlena while going through her scrapbook, but he is actually looking at her twin, Samantha (Andrea Hall)Cue: when Marlena confronted Samantha about impersonating her, and then later getting a call on her radio show from the Salem Strangler (Jack Coleman as Jake Kostichek) who killed Samantha thinking it was Marlena.

In the present, Belle (Martha Madison) has arrived at this time to meet up with Paul, unaware of this trip down memory lane. She wants to go over the findings in the chess board mystery Stefano willed to Marlena and John, in private with him, since Marlena previously said she wanted nothing to do with it.

Back to the history lesson, Marlena speaks highly of Don Craig and even though their marriage didn’t work out, she could find a path forward with the new love her life, Roman Brady. (Wayne Northrop however is never shown, possibly to keep the story focused on John as Roman for confusion sakes?)

Paul sees a photo of a young Carrie (Christie Clark) in the album and Marlena says she was such a godsend after losing her baby. In fact, Marlena says caring for Carrie prepared her for her having and raising her own twins, Eric and Sami. Cue: The twin visiting Marlena in the hospital.

JOHN AND MARLENA’S LOVE CONQUERED ALL

Then, in a way to get through and incorporate the wild storylines only Marlena could have been in, she tells Belle and Paul, she has been through so much in her life, how lucky she was to find John, and some of the most unbelievable experiences no one could imagine. Cue: Marlena possessed by the devil and levitating from the bed. Next, John confronting Marlena being the Salem Stalker, where she admits she killed Alice Horton, pretends she needs help, then pulls a gun on her beloved John!

The comment is made by Paul and Marlena, that she literally has been to hell and back and she could not have survived were it not for her beloved John. Cue the big emotional highpoint clips; The Pier Scene! Marlena steps out of the fog when John sees her from a distance. After believing she was dead for four years, here she was before him in one of the greatest reunions in a soap opera love story in history. What followed were other times of the life of times of Jarlena.

MARLENA’S ‘GIFT’ FROM STEFANO HAS A NEW CLUE

When Marlena makes a brief exit to the other room, Belle fills in Paul on the chess set Stefano left her mother and the photo of the Lire. Paul said he will investigate. Marlena comes back into the room and overhears, and says to promise her if things get dangerous he will back off, she does not want anyone hurt by Stefano’s games.

As the episode comes to a conclusion, it’s just Belle and Marlena going through the photo album giggling about 70s hairstyles and all the memories. Belle speaks on the impact Marlena has had in everyone’s lives, and that she is both the heart of their family and the heart of Salem.

An end card comes up acknowledging Deidre Hall’s 50th anniversary as Marlena, and we fade to black.

So, what did you think of Marlena’s walk down memory lane? Were you happy to see the flashback clips utilized throughout? Were you touched by the scenes and the performance of Deidre Hall? Let us know what you thought of Deidre’s 50th anniversary episode via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sidwell Surfaces; A Twist in Britt’s Condition

Published

By

On the Thursday, June 18 episode of General Hospital, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) makes his shocking return right in Port Charles, after fleeing (thanks to Cassius) to supposedly parts unknown to escape capture for trying to kill Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis).

How does he show up in town? First, Ezra (Daniel Cosgrove) gets a text from Jacinda (Paige Herschell) to meet in his hotel room. Ezra thinks the two are going to have a sexcapade so he puts champagne on ice for his favorite escort.

Suddenly, there is a knock at the door. Ezra’s excitement turns towards fear as instead of Jacinda, Sidwell is standing in front of him. Next, Sidwell blackmails Boyle telling him he has plenty of leverage he can use against him. Sidwell wants to use Ezra to help him takedown, Sonny (Maurice Benard), Lucas, Laura (Genie Francis) and Cullum.

ARE SIDWELL’S DAYS NUMBERED?

Meanwhile, Sonny confides in his brother, Ric (Rick Hearst). He says he knows who killed Marco an he is going to use that intel to lure Sidwell out of hiding.  Sonny also shares he is going to kill Sidwell, and handle this by himself. He gave the PCPD a chance, but they failed to nab Sidwell for good and lock him up.

Sonny also has been tracking the whereabouts of Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Rocco (Finn Carr) through Brick, and learned they took a flight to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and then boarded a fairy to take them somewhere off the island.

BRITT’S ‘SYMPTOMS’ RETURN

Turns out, Britt and Rocco are hiding out in the British Virgin Islands. Britt set up Rocco with a burner phone and a VPN on her tablet, that is not traceable. Rocco reads on the tablet about Lucas’ shooting. Britt starts to have the shakes and passes out. When she comes to, Britt won’t let Rocco call a doctor, but he uses his phone to step on the balcony and call Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) and ask for help. Charlotte looks shocked to hear from her brother as Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) looks on!

However, Joe (Jonathan Bennett) could be the one to put two and two together! While at General Hospital and after questioning Lucas about a syringe he found that was in someone’s possession. the toxicology report showed traces of saline solution, not actual medication. He asks Dr. Jones, why someone would inject themselves with saline? Lucas responds saline is harmless and would have no effect on someone.

So, does this mean that this entire time, Britt has been led to believe that the medication she was taking to treat her Huntington’s disease was placebo? Has Britt been lied to into believing she is dying? Is something else wrong with her instead?

Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section below, and if you are ready for Sidwell to finally get his comeuppance from Sonny! But first, watch the scenes where Sidwell comes out of hiding and blackmails Ezra Boyle.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Dante and ‘Nathan’ Have It Out, Valentin and Carly Share Passionate Moments Which May Be Their Last

Published

on

By

On the June 16 episode of General Hospital, the PCPD under acting police commissioner Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is in a bit of mess and does not go unnoticed by ADA Turner (Nazneen Contractor).

First, there is the whole Chase (Josh Swickard) defending Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) over Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), who he arrested for allegedly tossing Willow in the waters next to the Quartermaine boathouse. Turner has had it with Chase’s good guy act and how he tampered with evidence in her case against Willow for shooting Drew.

Later, Dante and Justine question “Nathan” (Ryan Paevey) about Sidwell’s escape while in his custody. Turner is not buying his cover story that he was ambushed by Sidwell and his men. Once “Nathan” left the interrogation room, Turner went in on Dante about having “Nathan” on the force after seven years away, and Chase she views as a “dirty cop.”

However, Dante defends both of his officers, but Justine warned that “Nathan” and Chase’s behavior would reflect poorly on Dante as commissioner and she should really think about that. Later, Dante has a terse confrontation with “Nathan” on how he botched a prison transport and that he better watch his back as Justine is one step away from turning this over to Internal Affairs.

COP MADNESS

Next, “Nathan” apologizes for the way he handled the situation with Rocco and says he feels badly. But then in the twist, Dante said that he was grateful that “Nathan” had been there for his son in his time of need (referencing after Rocco shot Cullum and covered it up).

Then, there’s the newest police officer in the precinct, Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett). He may actually be on to “Nathan’s” double life when he questions him about a syringe found in Britt’s room at Bobbie’s. “Nathan” made up a story to counter Joe’s, that he was not aware that his sister was taking anything for her Huntington’s disease diagnosis. Joe called the forensic department lab wanting to know what drug was exactly in the syringe.

BEFORE YOU GO

At Carly’s (Laura Wright), Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) tells her that he must travel to Geneva to speak to the head of the WSB, named Z. Valentin feels it’s the only way to save Josslyn if he informs Z about Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) being a double agent. Valentin shares with Carly that he has to stop Cullum from bringing his dangerous cold fusion device online. Carly is beside herself. She doesn’t want Valentin to sacrifice himself by turning himself into the organization who has made him a fugitive in the first place. Valentin stands firm that he must meet Z in person.

Knowing that revealing himself to the WSB meant he was likely going back to prison, Valentin asked Carly if she’d get in touch with his daughter, Charlotte so he could say good-bye to her. Next, Carly and Valentin make their way to the bedroom to make love, which may be for the very last time, if Valentin is caught and put back in Steinmauer Maximum Security Prison.

Courtesy/ABC

CAUGHT BY CULLUM

At the same time while at Wydemere, Cullum is talking with one of his WSB operatives. Now, he is pondering if Valentin and Sidwell were working together all along.  Next, Cullum entertains the idea of involving the FBI to locate Britt and Rocco. He says he plans to kill them both once he knows of their whereabouts. Cullum sees the only other threat to the completion of the cold fusion project to be Anna Devane.

Cullum wants to track the location of the unidentified person who called the private clinic in France trying to get in touch with Anna, while pretending to be Kevin Collins. When the agent came back with a report, he says it emanated from a cell tower near Shoreline Road. It’s in the that moment that a light bulb goes on for Cullum! Valentin is in Port Charles and hiding at Carly’s!

So, what do you think of the PCPD cops, Chase, Joe and “Nathan?” Who should Dante fire? Do you think Valentin will go the run?Are you digging Carly and Valentin’s relationship and want it to continue, especially with Finola Hughes on her way back as Anna next month on-screen? Weigh-in via the comment section, and in case you missed it, you can check out our latest interview with Dominic Zamprogna below from his appearance on the Michael Fairman Channel, where he talks the PCPD cops, Rocco on the run, and more.
