‘The Bold and the Beautiful’s’ Scott Clifton Comes to the Defense of Jacqueline MacInnes Wood Over Creative Decisions with ‘Steam’
Three-time Daytime Emmy-winner Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer) is standing up for another three-time Daytime Emmy winner, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) after online comments surfaced following Liam’s marriage proposal to ex-wife, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) on recent episodes of the CBS soap opera.
It started with one fan’s remark that, “Just so #Lope fans know. Bell wanted to put ‘Steam; back together but JMW is against that ship. So congratulations Hope wins Liam by default until he cheats on her again!”
What followed was another fan stating. “JMW is a drama queen if she thinks she should be able to determine her story line… show up and read your lines…please.” Next, Scott Clifton saw the social media remarks aimed at Jacqui, and decided to jump in to cut down the speculation and stop the haters.

Clifton explained, “Jacqui is a consummate professional and a dream coworker. Two things are true at once: she has expressed the (very reasonable) personal/creative opinion that ‘Steam’ has run its course; yet if Mr. Bell wrote Liam and Steffy getting back together again, she would give it 110%.” Several B&B fans thanked Scott for his supporting voice towards Jacqui, especially since there is no where on X that Wood made those remarks, especially since she only has a current account on Instagram.
In story, Liam and Steffy had been married three times before from 2011-2013, 2013, and 2017-2018. Their relationship was often tumultuous, as Liam would also go back to Hope three times previously, before this fourth marriage proposal. Meanwhile, Steffy found love again with Dr. John Finnegan (Finn) played by Tanner Novlan. The couple has been married since 2021.

Hope and Liam’s reunion on The Bold and the Beautiful comes after Liam nearly died, or so we thought so, only to find out that his inoperable brain tumor diagnosis was faked in a scam to bilk $1 million dollars out of Liam’s father, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), by Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech). The events that transpired over months, triggered the love that still exists for Liam and Hope to make their way back to each other.
During an exclusive interview with Michael Fairman TV, Clifton revealed that during his livestream conversation on the Michael Fairman Channel five months ago, he thought he was wrapping up his time as Liam, explaining, “Everything I said to you was true. The truth as far as my knowledge at that time. It wasn’t until later I was informed about it. Brad Bell wasn’t even like pulling one over on me. I mean, he pulled me into his office, and he said, ‘Look, I’m going to level with you. This is what I want to do with the character, and we’re going say goodbye to Liam.’ Brad was conscientious and you could tell he loved this character, and it was even hard for him to say goodbye. But, that was what he had chosen to do. So when we had our conversation, that was the plan.”
So, what do you think about Scott defending remarks aimed at Jacqueline MacInnes Wood about how she would not play another round of Liam and Steffy’s love story, so that the show had to put Liam with Hope? Share your thoughts via the comment section.

Both of them are so boring .
Good for JMW for standing up and saying enough to the same story being used over and over again with her and Liam and Hope.
If only KKL would have done the same thing and suggested to Bell enough with the Brooke, Taylor and Ridge disaster and let her move on.
I think that Liam and Hope have run out of steam (pun intended) as well. They are also, like watching brother and sister. I applaud Jackie if this was this case and admire her more than the actress that plays Hope. She should be screaming from the rooftops about how poorly they are portraying a woman like Hope in 2025. The soap is not worth watching anymore. They should have given Liam and Ivy and chance. Thomas and Hope have chemistry and are actually interesting. They could have created a rival fashion house to challenge Forrester.
SC had stated years ago he was tired of being the waffler like Ridge .
Everyone should bemoan the continuing Liam/Steffy/Hope triangle. It is only retread of Ridge/Brooke/Taylor. Seriously Powers That Be, try some new plots, let your characters have relationships longer than a few weeks. These are smart accomplished people (!?!) so why do they fall in love with the shiny ball that rolls into their field of vision after the most minor disappointment or transgression. I applaud Steffy and Finn staying together even with all the stupid obstacles created for them. Daytime drama needs to evolve or die. The genre is trying to make most of a bit of a renaissance here, but this once exciting serial is dull and pedestrian.
Laughing so hard I can’t breathe! So this “fan” is calling JMW a “drama queen” because—no, really, wait for it—she thinks JMW is keeping her favorite soap couple from getting back together. Hon, I think maybe you need to look in the mirror (and then CALM DOWN).

‘General Hospital’ Alum Chad Duell Drops First Single EDM/Dance Track ‘If You Need Me’

Last weekend, we shared the news that General Hospital alum and Daytime Emmy winner, Chad Duell (ex-Michael Corinthos) was releasing his first single today on June 26th and it has indeed dropped! And for those readers who guessed that Duell’s first track out of the gate was going to be an EDM/Dance/House track … you are correct, sir!
The song entitled, “If You Need Me” is perfect for the late night clubs and can be found on Spotify and other major streaming platforms! Duell is noted as the performing artist, but as the composer/ lyricist and the beatmaker of the track. For his music projects, Chad is going solely by the name of “Duelly” which has been his social media handle for years.
Taking to his Instagram on Friday, Duell explained his deep dive into making music, expressing, “I’ve wanted to make music for a long time… I just never did it. It always felt like this huge, overwhelming thing to learn. All the technical side of it, the programs, everything that goes into actually building a track… it was easy to keep pushing it off. A couple months ago I finally just decided to go for it.”

BIT BY BIT PUTTING IT TOGETHER
Chad added, “Since then I’ve been putting in a lot of time learning, experimenting, figuring things out, and slowly starting to find a sound I’m really proud of. This first release is more of a dance/EDM vibe, but I’ve also been working on a lot of different styles behind the scenes that I’m just as excited about. At some point I realized I could keep holding onto everything trying to make it perfect… or I could just start putting music out and grow as I go.”
Stepping out of his own way, Duell firmly says, “So that’s what I’m doing. My first track “If You Need Me” is out now. More coming soon… this is just the beginning.”
As GH viewers know, Chad made the decision to step away from General Hospital after a 15-year run with the series where his last episode aired in January of 2025. By May of last year, the role was recast with Rory Gibson debuting in the part.

Previously, Josh stepped down from his other major duty as the soap opera’s co-executive producer. It was just two months ago we learned that longtime Y&R vet Sally McDonald took over the EP role, while Josh was remaining the series head writer.
A SOAP WRITER WELL-TRAVELED
The seven-time Daytime Emmy winner has had a storied career and tenure in the field of daytime drama. Josh began his soap writing career in 1988 with Santa Barbara, then went to One Life to Live, where he was promoted to co-head writer. He ended his time in Llanview, at that time, in 1995. Later, he co-created Sunset Beach with Bob Guza Jr. The series ran from 1997-99 on NBC. One Life to Live called again and Josh returned as co-head writer again alongside Michael Malone from 2003-2004. Next, he joined the writing team of As the World Turns.
It was back in 2006 that Griffith first came to Genoa City and The Young and the Restless. He started in the capacity of creative consultant, as a breakdown writer, and then was tapped as the series co-executive producer. After departing in 2008. It was not until 2012-2013 that he made a short return before heading to Days of Our Lives to become the co-head writer of Salem from 2015-2016.
Eventually, Josh resurfaced at Y&R as Supervising Producer before becoming head writer in 2019 after Mal Young’s exit. Griffith had served as both head writer and executive producer from 2023-25. In 2025, Sally McDonald joined him as the series co-executive producer until the recent change a few months ago where McDonald is the sole EP.
