‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Stars and Producer Share Emotions as it Tapes Final Episode at Stage 31 Television City Ahead of Its Move to New Studios
As the weekend began, The Bold and the Beautiful wrapped its 38-year run at its home at Television City in West Hollywood, California. Now the series will be on a summer break while at that time it will move all of its sets and get situated at its new digs as previously reported at the Sunset Las Palmas Studios in Hollywood.
Taping of all-new episodes of B&B is currently set for August 19th. On Friday, as the cast and crew’s time came to an end at its home away from home, many of its stars including Kimberlin Brown (Sheila) and Sean Kanan (Deacon) took to their Instagram accounts to document their thoughts at packing up their dressing rooms and leaving a place that held so much history for them.
B&B’s Supervising Producer, Casey Kasprzyk was filmed in the control booth by longtime star, Don Diamont (Bill Spencer). Addressing the cast and crew for one last time at their now former studios, Kaspryzk said, “Before we wrap, I’d just like to say for 38 years the Bell family chose Television City stage 31, to be the home for The Bold and the Beautiful. That has been the home for countless cast and crew members. During that time, 9,620 episodes have been produced. None of that would’ve been accomplished without the dedication and commitment to excellence that everyone on stage 31 brings day in and day out. Now our home is changing, but the show goes on. Thank you everyone, and thank you. Stage 31, you taught me so much. I’ll miss you.”

Kimberlin Brown shared in her post, “Yesterday was our last day filming at the old CBS Studios. We say goodbye to stage 31 and look forward to our new home at Sunset Las Palmas Studios.” Before that in a video post, Brown related, “The end of an era. Today we wrapped The Bold and the Beautiful on stage 31 for the last time. Bittersweet for me, but I was blessed to work with such a talented amazing group of people. On to the future.”
In the post accompanied the video, Casey expressed, “Today marks the end of an era as we say goodbye to Television City’s Stage 31, and embrace a new adventure at Sunset Las Palmas Studios ✨ As we sign off from the control booth… here’s to bold beginnings and beautiful memories.”

Sean Kanan shared in his video, “Hey guys, well a few minutes ago I had the honor of filming the final scene of The Bold and the Beautiful on stage 31 that we are filming here at Television City. I started in The Bold and the Beautiful in 2000. This is my 25th year playing Deacon Sharpe. It started with a meeting with Bradley Bell (executive producer and head writer, B&B) that I never thought would become one of the most important experiences, not only for me professionally, but in my life. It’s an amazing experience been here at Television City. There is so much incredible history. And now we are moving to a new studio and we are so committed to bringing everyone a great story and giving 100% all the time. But just for today it’s pretty good ”

Previously, Brad Bell said on the move, “It’s been an extraordinary 38 years at Television City, where we have produced over 9,600 episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful. As we look ahead, we’re excited to begin this next chapter at Sunset Las Palmas Studios —continuing our production in the heart of Hollywood and the great state of California.”
The Bold and the Beautiful was among a handful of shows filming at Television City after CBS Corp. sold the studio complex to Hackman Capital Partners in 2019. The Young and the Restless is still taping there, which breaks up, for the time being, the sister soaps from being across the hall from one another.
Watch Casey’s, Sean’s and Kimberlin’s video posts below.

Understand working in the same place for nearly 38 years and then leave/retire from it. But the memories there will last a lifetime. Good luck with the new location in Hollywood. But work on your writing next year as B&B was locked out for Best Daytime Drama for 2024.
Congratulations on an amazing 38 years of filming at television city. That’s quite an accomplishment. If the walls could talk. All of you have an awesome new adventure at your new home. I’m sure that you will have many wonderful experiences together in your new home. Keep doing what you’re doing. We will still have you in our homes every day.
I stopped watching The Bold and the Beautiful in 2019, due to poor production decisions and writing, but it is definitely a kicker to know that they are exiting Television City after over 38 years at that location.
Judging from John McCook’s post on Instagram, they’re rebuilding and expanding on some sets (which I do think they should do; bring back the original Forrester Creations and mansion sets, etc.), so it appears the studio space they have at Sunset Las Palmas Studios might be slightly bigger than they’ve had at Television City.
It will be interesting to see, visually, what a Bell soap (is it really, anymore?) looks like outside of Television City. Wishing them the best of luck in this new adventure.
How are they going to move all the sets and they will still look the same in the new studio? Sounds like a lot of work to do in a few weeks. Hope they get it done and wonder if anything will look different for season 39

RATINGS: ‘Beyond the Gates’ Scores Third Most-Watched Week Since Its Premiere With ‘The Young and the Restless’ Crossover Event

The tornado that ripped through Fairmont Crest and put the lives of the characters of Beyond the Gates and several from The Young and the Restless in jeopardy had viewers tuning-in for the week of June 8-12.
The highly-publicized crossover event kicked off on the Tuesday, June 9 episode of Beyond the Gates where six residents of Genoa City came to to visit the D.C./Maryland country club for a fundraiser for Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon), only no one expected a twister to tear into the proceedings, leading to several storylines intersecting as people were trapped with one another with Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) being the most severely injured and now requiring a liver transplant to survive.
According to the ratings report from CBS and Nielsen ratings and as supplied to Variety, Beyond the Gates brought in on average 1.8 million viewers throughout the wee. That is up 11% from its season-to-date numbers and it makes the crossover/tornado episodes its third most-watched week for the soap since Beyond the Gates premiered back on February 24, 2025.

A GENOA CITY TOUCHDOWN
With the strength of the story, its special effects and bringing over cast of the top-rated, The Young and the Restless which included: Eric Braeden (Victor Newman), Michael Mealor (Kyle Abbott), Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott), Susan Walters (Diane Jenkins), Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman) and Bryton James (Devon Hamilton), the Thursday, June 11 episode was the week’s most-watched.
According to the numbers, the Wednesday June 10 episode brought in the most total viewers for the week with 1.87 million (up 17% week-to-week), followed closely by the Friday, June 12 episodes which had 1.84 million watching.

Over on The Young and the Restless, the week of June 8-12, also saw an increase based on the early return that week of Shemar Moore as Malcolm Winters wrapping up his leg of the story where viewers learned he had a son Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) with Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox), and survived his bone marrow transplant surgery thanks to Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).
Y&R scored 3.11 million viewers for the week up 2% from its season average with the June 8 and June 9 episodes featuring Moore averaging 3.2 million viewers and up 9% year-over-year.

General Hospital
Finola Hughes First Airdate Back to ‘General Hospital’ Revealed: But What Will Be the State of Anna Devane’s Mental Health?

The highly-anticipated return of Daytime Emmy winner, Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) to General Hospital is just around the corner. It’s next week! Anna’s back starting with the Wednesday June 24 episode of the ABC daytime drama series.
Hughes has been off the soap opera on-screen since February. Now, the question becomes, when viewers see Anna, will she be in the same condition she was when we last saw her? Believing Cesar Faison is alive, and traumatized from the hallucinogenic drugs she was served up from Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and company while held captive at Wyndemere?
Anna was last seen in a mental clinic in France, but also left word of her captivity on the wall inside the secret room at Wyndemere where Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) are now being held against their will, too!

ANNA ON HER WAY BACK TO PORT CHARLES?
Even though Finola Hughes has not been on the canvas for months, Anna has certainly been talked about. In fact, super spy Anna, nearly escaped and made it as far as Switzerland before being recaptured. Since that time she is said to be housed at a high-security institution. We were then told that Congresswoman Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) went to bat for Anna with the authorities overseas, and had her transferred to a more comfortable facility.
How will Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) play into saving Anna? We know he flipped out after learning what was happening and tried to phone the facility as Dr. Kevin Collins, but that backfired making him public enemy number one with the WSB.
Here’s what to look for on episodes featuring Finola Hughes on her first week back below:
On Wednesday, June 24 official General Hospital spoilers share: Anna meets with her doctor. Carly makes a stunning confession. Britt extracts a promise. Cullum pulls a fast one. Gio and Emma hit the pool.
Then, when we next see Anna on the Friday, June 26 episode, official GH spoilers add: Anna takes a huge risk. Britt is in grave danger. Willow is in disbelief. Danny must act fast. Curtis jumps to the wrong conclusion.
ANNA/VALENTIN/CARLY
In addition, General Hospital co-head writers, Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten teased summer story to Soap Opera Digest, including some intel on Anna’s return to Port Charles. The scribes shared that Anna’s presence doesn’t mean that Rocco (Finn Carr) is out of the woods for shooting Cullum, and that Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) would face some hard questions from the super spy as well, plus a major decision made by Jason (Steve Burton) is said to have big implications for Anna.
There is also the fact that while Anna was in a mental facility in France, Carly (Laura Wright) and Valentin have become lovers and developed feelings for one another while in Port Charles. Will a triangle ensue? Stay tuned.
So, what do you think will be Anna’s mental state when viewers see her next week on GH? Will she be OK? Suffer from PTSD? Be faking it at this point, or be a changed woman? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
