Off to another locale, are they?  Yes, the international smash The Bold and the Beautiful continues its string of beautiful locale from around the world to incorporate into their stories!  This time the backdrop will be the canals of Amsterdam for a romantic story filming the first week of October, the series announced today.

According to series EP and head writer, Brad Bell: “While in the Netherlands for a Forrester Creations photo shoot, one couple finds love while another is falling apart.  The action takes place over seven episodes, and we are very excited about showcasing the beauty of Amsterdam during our shoot.”

Cast members Ashleigh Brewer (“Ivy Forrester”), Darin Brooks (“Wyatt Spencer”), Scott Clifton (“Liam Spencer”) and Kim Matula (“Hope Logan Spencer”) will take part.  Dutch actor and singer Ferry Doedens has also signed on to guest star as Forrester Creations’ local public relations executive, a role created especially for episodes filmed in Amsterdam. Episodes will air in the U.S. on the CBS Television Network in November 2014 and in the Netherlands in 2015.

Among the many other locations featured will be the exteriors of historic Hotel de L’Europe, a five-star luxury hotel overlooking the Amstel River in the heart of Amsterdam. Netherlands-based Stepping Stone Productions will assist the B&Bcrew during filming.

The CBS soap opera filmed episodes in Paris and Monte Carlo in June 2014, and in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in March 2014. Other shoots have included Lake Como (1997), Venice (1999), Portofino (2002), Sydney, Australia (2007), Aspen, Colorado (2011-12), Cabo San Lucas, Mexico (2011), Puglia, Italy (2012) and Monte Carlo (2013).

As previously announced, iconic stars Scott Clifton, Thorsten Kaye, Kim Matula, John McCook, Heather Tom and Hunter Tylo will appear in The Bold and the Beautiful Live! stage show at Theater Vredenburg Leidsche Rijn in Utrecht, just outside Amsterdam on October 4th. Tickets are on sale now at www.seetickets.nl and www.rtltickets.nl.

So which B&B couple will find love in Amsterdam, and which couple will fall apart?  Share your thoughts below!

Of course, Wyatt and Hope are going to fall apart when Liam finally falls for Ivy. Hope wants Liam back and now Liam is going to waffle again between two women.

Somebody wake me up when this storyline ends, please.

Ella,

Girlfriend…get comfy (or whatever) because you’re in for a L-O-N-G nap…LOL!!!!! Anyway, I feel the same way. To me, it’s like blah blah blah blah and more blah. Lame.

Have a good one, Ella. XOXOXOXOXO

Ella, you’re in for a long nap.

Exactly. What makes this storyline even more annoying and tedious is all the other characters who talk incessantly about Hope, Liam, and Wyatt during almost every episode, as if their lives revolve around those three characters. It might have been more interesting if Hope had married Liam in Paris. Then she could have gradually realized that she made a mistake, ultimately concluding that he isn’t the love of her life after all. But at the moment, B&B stands for Blah & Boring.

Obviously you weren’t watching or forgotten the same thing happened for months or maybe years all through the Hope/Steffy/ Liam triangle. It drove me to the brink of throwing a brick at the television if I heard more person share their thoughts on who was better for Liam, Hope or Steffy. Brad Bell is a big fan of recycling– I’m sure if we go back far enough we would hear the same conversations on who is better for Ridge– Brooke or Taylor. This is why I only watch this show in small doses, otherwise my television set would be in danger. LOL.

Thats going to be a very long nap…lol

On this show does it matter? Couples come together, fall apart and come together again more times than a loose button on a shirt. But I will play along– Ivy and Liam will fall in love and Ridge and Katie will fall apart.

Thorsten and Heather aren’t involved with the remote.

Well I thought they might be since they will be in town for the live show when they are filming those scenes, but if you’re say they won’t be then it was a rather pointless question for Mr. Fairman to ask since there are only two couples to chose from–

I think it’s obvious. Hott falling apart and Livy finding love. Disappointed Lope Fan…

Why are Liam, Hope, Ivy and Wyatt going on location AGAIN?? They just went to Paris!!!! My god, does this really enhance the storyline?? Send Aly on location!!! Or Thorne, Taylor, Brooke and Ridge…..the adults need some fun!!!!! bring back CJ, Bridget, Amber and Oscar!! And Steffy!!!!

Yes yes yes
I agree ! The adults need to come back to life on this show!
Where is steffie and Thomas , remember ridges children?????
It’s all to unreal to follow
Turning into a joke. Then they go away on a trip and writers think it brings back viewers ! Not

I don’t want Wyatt and Hope to fall apart. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I do think the show centers too much on Hope’s love life. That ep where everyone at FC was discussing Hope’s love life was too much. Don’t they have their own lives???

That said, I do love Hope and hope she stays with Wyatt. She is better with him!!!

So sad what this show has become. Heather Tom who has three emmys has never done a location shoot in any of these fabulous overseas locales. This show use to have some balance those days are long gone.

That BB does these location shoots is great.

But the past TWO have been totally wasted by horrible repetitive story telling.

They need to stop being all “look”, and get back to some new stories long time fans can be interested in. And utilize the entire cast!

A new story, what a novel concept, but I wouldn’t hold my breath because other than Stephanie dying, can you recall a story line in the last five years that wasn’t directly or indirectly connected to one of the many love triangles on the show? I can’t– I don’t think Brad Bell knows any other story— I miss the old days when we had a rival fashion house and all the infighting between them–but I fear those days are gone and we are stuck with love triangles until who knows when—

The location shoots are dumb.

The best scene on this show in a long time was the scene where Ridge put his hand on Caroline to draw his sketch. Sorry but heat came off my tv screen ! No ick factor for me because for the first time since Thorsten Kaye came on as Ridge he actually has smoking hot chemistry with someone. Get the Barbie doll and dumb & dumber off my screen and let a real man show you how it works. Go Tk show these amateurs how it’s done!!

They have moved this Ridge / Caroline story so quickly, it’s just NOT believable !! It looks as though KKL decided to take a hiatus and the writers are scrambling to toss anything on paper.

Well, we all know that it is going to be Katie and Ridge. B & B had to find a way to make us hate Ridge and they have. Ridge and Caroline make me want to vomit. She looks like a 15 year old with a dirty old man. Horrible move !!! Love Ivy and Liam, but can’t watch Ridge & Caroline. Removing B & B from my line-up.

I THINK HOPE AND WAYTT SHOULD STAY MERRY THEY MAKE A GOOD AS HUBBY AND WIFE. EVERTIME HOPE AND LIAM COME CLOSE SOMETHING OR SOMEONE COME IN AND TEAR THEM APART THAT BECUSE THEY DON’T BELONG TOGETHER, IT JUST NOT IN THE STARS FRO THEM, I RATHER SEE LIAM MAKE IVY HIS WIFE AND HAVE SOME KID BY HER . THEY ALL NEED TO KICK ROCK AND KEEP IT MOVING.

There are a few reasons not to like Caroline and Ridge, but IMO, there are so many more to like them. I see tremendous chemistry between Thorsten Kaye and Linsey Godfrey, much more than I’ve seen with him and Heather Tom or KKL. I also think the surprise of this storyline is what B&B needed more than another location shoot. B&B was lagging behind the other three shows by focusing nonstop on Hope and the men in her life, as well as Brooke and Bill breaking up and making up in an endless circle. This story has corporate intrigue, lust, fashion design and family rivalry. It’s what B&B needed. Love it or hate it, it’s gotten fans talking. I’d be shocked if Caroline and Ridge become a real couple, but that’s the beauty of this story. It can generate alot of controversy and hopefully ratings with little long-term effects, I’m guessing.

Plus it has the added bonus of finally giving Katie and Ridge some conflict that isn’t resolved by the end of an episode. Both characters were becoming wallpaper on this show, and neither Heather Tom nor Thorsten Kaye should ever be that.

Stop with the boring Liam saga!
Why would he even go on this trip if it is a forester trip?
I’m so sick of this boring story line love triangle and a lot of my friends have stopped watching!!
Move on already!!!!!!
And where is steffie? She is on the opening credits still! Why? Does anyone know?

I like Wyatt and Hope together, just as I liked Liam and Steffy together. I don’t like the story line of Ridge and Caroline, please drop it. I would like to see Quinn put away for awhile, she is crazy.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
