The pics look great!! And I love all the press that both shows are getting…..a lot more than when they were on ABC. April 29th can’t get here quick enough!!

Great point , Torrey! If ABC had promoted our soaps they would still be on he air! So excited about the 29th!

Looking forward, Patrick

I remember a photo of the original Buchanan men, Asa, Clint and Bo. They added so much to OLTL over the years!

DITTO!

When will these photos be in the us weekly???

Some people are complaining that the photo shoot looks a bit on the trashy side. Folks, if these soaps are going to survive on the ‘net, they have to skew to a totally different demographic, and so they may let a few four letter words fly. Like we don’t do that in real life? Time go grow up a bit. When they were on ABC, they had Standards and Practices, so they couldn’t go more “realistic.” They had to answer to Mickey Mouse for God’s sake! I’d actually like to Viki tell David to grow a pair. Give it a chance before you render judgement. I for one think OLTL went as far as it could without letting things fly.

Good point Jim! We may have to adjust to a new Llanview, but who knows we may like it!

Best- Patrick

As for Mickey Mouse he must have covered his ears because Disney hasnt been squeeky clean in everything it puts out there in recent years. Now i wont judge the show til i see it. I never judge a book by its cover until i read a few pages first. Most of us may swear but some of us still dont swear in public and we dont do it for entertaiment purposes. When i found myself cussing more recently i felt it tarnishes our beautiful language and now im doing it less and less. When our parents and grandparents got us to watch soaps back in the old days they barely found much to be offended by, and so they got us to watch these wonderfully told stories for pure escapism. We didnt have to have them be that real because we watched to escape reality. Some people today still feel that way and if they dont like the soaps going even a little far with other cuss words or fleeting nudity they wont allow their children to watch and then we loose maybe a good number of the next generation needed to keep these shows going. Our families are finding a lot less to do together as it is these days as it is. The only thing outdated on the shows from the 60s to 70s are the furniture and clothes. They had stories about a woman raising her daughter alone after the husbands death, and in laws interferance, the cheating spouse, a murder, illigetimate pregnancy, adoptions, child custody fights ect which is current today and still happens just like it did back then. Sure people no longer say Andy Hardy things like’Gee whiz dad, can we have one of those man to man talks’ and it would be nice if they still did but back then most children were taught to have morals and to become responsible adults which is quickly becoming a thing of the past 2day like the phone booth. So i can understand why people want to change our shows for the worse as well. But do we have to add swear words and other stuff just because others do it. Thats not doing it differently…its being the same. And some of us want soaps to be different otherwise why tune in at all three or five times a week when you can get the same thing somewhere else and not be commited to watch daily. Im not sure the next generation will tune in like they used to anyway now that they have more things to distract them today then what some of us had when we were a kid. And as for David growing some, I doubt the Vickers garden could because that mans brain has always been in a drought. LOL!

Damn David looks so hot there!

But the best pic is of Tea and Blair together!!! Wow! And I hope that means they will keep being friends/enemies.

When does this US come out. It’s something I don’t normally buy.

george kotsiopolus has the most colorful reactions to joan’s jokes. More blah styling from him for these soaps.

I think these photo shoots are phenomenal, they put a lot of time into them and you can really tell their top notch photo shoots. Can’t wait for them to return!!!!!

The new character playing Matthew Buchanan looks older than the orginial actor…. So
great to see those Buchanan guy’s again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Erika Slezak looks phenomenal ! As does Bob Woods. Hate to say it but the time away seems to have rested them up and they look more physically fit,

Great photos….although, the new Destiny’s bathing suit attire is a bit “odd”.

Glad The Buchanan Boys back together again!

Mark Consuelos Celebrates One-Year Anniversary as Co-Host of ‘Live’ Alongside Kelly Ripa

Today, April 17th marks a full-year since Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo, All My Children) took over the co-hosting duties of ‘Live” alongside his wife, and longtime co-host, Kelly Ripa (ex-Hayley, All My Children).

Consuelos replaced Ryan Seacrest who are six seasons decided to be back on the west coast full-time. For Consuelos, now having the opportunity to work off of Ripa as co-hosts has been something of adjustment for him, but viewers have been eating it up.

Live with Kelly and Mark has remained the No. 1 entertainment talk show on television over the past year, growing 3% in average total viewers to 2.23M per episode.  It is also the most-watched daytime talk show in the last year in key demos of women 18-49 and women 25-54. All of this, since the real-life marrieds teamed-up.

Photo: ABC

Speaking with Deadline, Kelly Ripa shared why the two are gelling on-screen, “I do think that there is something very possibly relatable about our relationship. We have disagreements like a normal couple, and we’re not afraid to let them unfold on the air and in front of America, and I think people find a lot of themselves in that.”

Mark weighed in how he has progressed as a host, and what he could improve at, sharing, “I’d like to get better at my interviewing skills. I’d like to get better at reading a teleprompter…I think I’m getting better at throwing to commercial. The other day in the middle of the show as we go to commercial, my sign off was ‘See you guys around.’ I mean, the show wasn’t over. The most obvious thing to say would be, ‘We’ll be back right after this.’ But I just said, ‘See you around.’ So we went to commercial and one of the producers (goes) ‘What was that?’ I don’t know… So for the next few sign offs, as a joke, I’d say ‘See you around.’ We got a kick out of it.”

Meanwhile, Kelly has given huge props to Mark, “I find Mark utterly compelling, really interesting, super funny, and he’s bold in a way like nobody else. He says what’s on his mind. If he’s thinking it, he says it.  I’ve done this a long time and oftentimes people will adjust their natural personalities to pander to what they think the audience wants to hear, and Mark will tell people what he thinks, and he doesn’t care if it’s not a popular opinion. It gives him an edginess that I think is really missing in the landscape today. Everybody’s so afraid to say anything, and Mark is unafraid to say exactly what he’s thinking.”

In a statement, Debra O’Connell, President News Group and Networks, Disney Entertainment shared, We could not be more thrilled with how Mark has seamlessly joined the show family as permanent co-host. His undeniable charisma and his and Kelly’s natural chemistry are evident as they deliver the laughs and smiles to our viewers each morning. We are incredibly proud of how Live has continued to evolve and that the audience is responding so enthusiastically.”

So, do you think Mark Consuelos is the best co-host his wife Kelly Ripa has ever had on ‘Live’? How would you say he is doing as co-host after one full year on the job? Comment below.

Jacob Young Shares Production Pic of Cast of His New Film Featuring Joan Collins and Nadia Bjorlin

Last month, during a livestream conversation on the Michael Fairman Channel, while promoting Jason Cook’s film, Four for Fun, and featuring soap notables Jacob Young (ex-AJ, AMC, ex-Lucky, GH, ex-Rick, B&B) and Brytni Sarpy (Y&R), Young revealed some intel on his upcoming movie project.

Jacob shared that he was set to direct, produce and star in a Agatha Christie-like murder mystery feature film, Murder Between Friends shooting in Prague.

The actor/director expressed, “I’m flying at the end of the March to Prague to direct, produce and star in a film with Joan Collins (ex-Dynasty). Nadia Bjorlin (ex-Chloe, Days of our Lives) is in it, and Toby Alexander Smith from Eastenders (ex-Gray Atkins). Plus, a couple of my Broadway friends and a very well known Czech actress (Hana Vagnerova). It’s very ‘Knives Out’ without having a hundred million dollars to shoot it, but still will be a lovely film nonetheless.”

Young is currently shooting the film’s principal photography abroad through April 17th.

Over the weekend, Jacob took to his Instagram to share a photo with the cast of the film where pictured is former Dynasty star, Joan Collins (ex-Alexis) and former Days of our Lives star, Nadia Bjorlin (ex-Chloe).
