Y&R’s Eileen Davidson on Ashley Marrying Tucker: ‘He is Smart Enough to Know That There Are Consequences Should He Repeat Past Mistakes”

Next week on The Young and the Restless, it’s the wedding of Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) to Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John), but will it go off without a hitch, or two, or three? These two have quite the past including Tucker’s infidelities with Diane and Harmony, while in a previous relationship with Ashley.

Will history repeat itself if Ashley ties the knot with Tucker? Ashley’s daughter, Abby (Melissa Ordway) seems very concerned as the walk down the aisle approaches. In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now, Eileen Davidson weighs-in on how stable she thinks Ashley and Tucker’s next chance on love will be.

The two-time Daytime Emmy winner expressed: “Ashley assures Abby that she is in love with Tucker and excited to share a future with him. Ashley knows that Tucker has changed and he is smart enough to know that there are consequences should he repeat his past mistakes.”

Recently, when Tucker came back to Genoa City, Ashley was playing him to try to bring down Diane Jenkins, (Susan Walters) but ultimately his charms wore her down, and she found herself falling for the man, yet again.

Be on the lookout for a major moment at the nuptials when Jack (Peter Bergman) presents something to Ashley that she has wanted back for a long time, but since the sibling rivalry always continues, won’t it come at some sort of price?  Stay tuned.

So, are you glad Tucker and Ashley are marrying or are you against the pairing? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

Tucker is da’man !! Without a doubt, Tucker will down Ashely if, after, they are married she continues to dominate him…I’m up for that…Tucker has his game going, too…

Tucker has powers he can and will create some. devastation ..

It would be awesome if Tucker and Adam teamed up..

Adam and Tucker are my #1 luvs 😉

All the other men are blah and fluffies ..

((( with the exception of King Victor..

Love me some Ashley Abbott! One of the smartest women I know. Stay focused and controlling, beat Tucker at his own game.

uuuuu—I’m with you, girl. Adam is it, SusieQ!!

Tucker and Adam are my #1 luvs too. I’ve never liked Ashley but I love Tucker and like them together and have been hoping their marriage will go ahead. I was not familiar with Trevor St. John before – I absolutely love him; I could watch an hour of his scenes. While Jack/Peter Bergman has always been my favourite, he has been ruined by this sl and pairing with Diane; never thought I would say this but I can’t help being on Ashley’s side on this.

Love Tucker played by Trevor St John and love Ashley!!

I have only one word that I think of when I see Tucker and that’s SNEAKY! Sorry guys, I know most of you swoon over him.

Hi, Violet—I’m not too sure about Tucker yet—They’re all kind of sneaky—Who would have “thunk “ Kyle would change do drastically. The one person I detest the most is Nate. He betrayed his family—imagine what someone like that would do to anyone?? Audra is a snake.
Then, there’s holier-than-thou, reborn Sally. Is she kidding turning her scheming nose up at Adam? Hmmm.

Celia,
I guess I just don’t trust Tucker, so it’s hard for me to find him attractive, I think he’s a big phony. I was trying to explain Nate to a visiting friend today and how he went from the nice person to the Charleton,( to use a real old fashioned word) he is today. I hope nothing happens to Victor, health wise before he makes dog food out of him. What is it with Vicki and her men? They accuse men of being led around by a certain part of their body, well what is her damn excuse? I know Billy was one of those men in her life but I like him anyway. I have another word for Audra, think of all the nasty words you know and just pick one. I’m so sick of seeing her and Kyle in bed, I just F.F. I got used to Sally on B&B and she doesn’t bother me but Nick being so blind bugs the hell out of me. She’s not intentionally using his love but she definitely is to get over Adam, but I don’t think that will ever happen. One day there will be s loud explosion to rock G, C and that will be Sally and Adam getting back together who will be the most surprised of all. Poor Nick, he is such a loser with woman.

I agree with everything you said, Violet—-Tucker’s looks are not what attract me to him. It’s his devil-may-care attitude. He cracks me up.
Victoria? Well, she’s just desperate.
Nate is criminally inclined.
Audra is a s£ut—
Sally is holier-than-thou.
Billy is a traitor.
Trust me, Violet. I have very old fashioned ideals. I was born during the wrong century. LOL-I appreciate you. Pardon the typos❤️

PS—Violet—I forgot Nick—he’s a fool.
I have warmed up to Adam and Victor ( disliked him for two decades).
Nikki is Ok except when she puckers her haughty mouth—LOL

Celia, don’t forget Nicki’s nose, I swear it goes up every time she speaks lately to someone that isn’t family.

Trevor St. John is the best reason to watch Y&R.
Not only is he gorgeous…that killer smile, but his sense of humor just shines.

Totally I giggle every time he is onscreen even if he’s not being funny.

Yes, Shari—I’m still not sure where to put Tucker in my head. But I love his sense of dry humor. No excuses. No real explanation. His sarcasm always hits the spot for me—that “iffy”, nonchalant air is a plus. He’s very enigmatic.

I thought there would be fireworks at the wedding, kind of disappointing and boring except for Abby’s rear-end in that dress which to this old lady was disgusting, to say the least.

Hi Violet. I’m not that old, and I totally had the same thought about Abby’s rear end. And in one scene I think I actually saw her belly button peeking out between her top and bottom. So extremely distracting, and Melissa looked very uncomfortable in the outfit.

LOL, Violet—That was NOT real.

‘General Hospital’s’ James Patrick Stuart Delivers the ‘Power Performance of the Week’

Published

Sometimes not overplaying moments within two-person scenes, carry the weight and the gravitas of the situation and tug at our heartstrings. That’s exactly what General Hospital’s James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine) was able to do on last week’s Tuesday, September 15 and Wednesday, September 16 episodes of the ABC daytime drama series in scenes with Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) and Laura Wright (Carly Spencer).

We know last week saw many emotional turns from the likes of the aforementioned Hughes, plus her GH co-stars, Kelly Thiebaud (Britt) and Cynthia Watros (Nina), plus The Bold and the Beautiful’s Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy). All the actresses delivered noteworthy performances. However, for us, James Patrick Stuart’s Valentin, showed his deep love and care for a woman torn to pieces by the WSB and the sadness he felt seeing this great love of his in so much turmoil, while also trying to hold on to the new woman in his life, which pulled us in.

In story, Valentin hightails it to Anna where she explains how she almost killed Britt Westbourne, and how she faked her recover at the clinic in France, when all along she was seeing visions of Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Anna is in such a state that Valentin offers to run away with her. Carly shows up at Anna’s door and sees Valentin is there and makes a quick exit.

VALENTIN IS HEARTBROKEN FOR ANNA

Anna tells Valentin that he needs to go after Carly and explain to her that he was just visiting her to check in and to take care of an old friend. Valentin says share so much more than that, which Anna says she knows. After Felicia (Kristina Wagner) comes to watch over Anna, Valentin leaves, but is heartbroken over Anna.

SMOOTHING THINGS OVER WITH CARLY

When Valentin arrives back at Carly’s he wants to explain to her what has happened to Anna, but Carly says she wants to respect Anna’s privacy. In a very adult conversation, Valentin tells Carly he believes Anna will come back from this and land on her feet as she always does. He adds that he hopes that one day she can find some peace, just like he has now with Carly. Valentin realizes how good Carly has been for him, his outlook and happiness. The two share a hug.

Throughout all of these beats, James Patrick Stuart was able to shift from gut-wrenching concern, caring, and panic, to self-awareness, and hope for the future. It certainly touched us and we hope many viewers felt it too.

It does go to show that sometimes on the soaps, the big histrionic performances are not always the most memorable ones. Sometimes it’s the quiet ones that sneak up on us. All you needed to do was watch Valentin’s eyes in the scenes and you knew exactly how he was feeling.

So, for all the reasons stated above, Michael Fairman TV names General Hospital’s James Patrick Stuart, as our pick for the Power Performance of the Week.

So, do you agree with our choice of James Patrick Stuart, or do you think someone else should have been gotten our recognition? If so, share your picks and thoughts via the comment section below.

Chris McKenna Speaks Out On His Final Day as ‘General Hospital’s’ Jack Brennan with Words of Wisdom to ‘Finish Strong’

Chris McKenna

When Jack Brennan was found dead and floating in the Metro Court pool on the September 1 episode of General Hospital, it unfortunately meant the end of the road for Chris L. McKenna, who had returned to the soaps to play the WSB Port Charles Bureau Chief.

As with any death on the soaps, and a litany of subjects in this whodunit, Brennan’s death opened the door to more story, as fans are still grappling with the decision to kill off the character.

The bittersweet exit was not the first time Chris had been written out of a soap. On The Young and the Restless, Chris played detective Mark Harding from 2014-2015, who ended up dead, and guess who was in that scene? None other than GH’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) when he was over at the CBS soap opera taking on the role of Dylan McAvoy.

Now. on an all-new episode of the That’s Awesome podcast with Burton and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli, GH) released on Friday, September 18, the duo welcomed Chris McKenna direct from Clearwater, Florida.

MAKING SURE PAIGE HERSCHELL WAS OK

During the conversation, Chris explained how his last day went and how he went about lifting the spirits of the GH cast and crew with very special attention to Paige Herschell (ex-Jacinda Bracken).

McKenna shared how he knew for a bit about his departure, before the rest of the cast knew he was exiting the show, explaining. “I had time to process it. It had been a surprise to many, to me, and to many people in the building when it first happened. But by this point, Paige Herschell found out at the same time that she wasn’t going to be coming back. She had her last day, the day before mine.”

“Paige hadn’t been through this before. I had,” shared the soap vet. “I had a show that was on the air and it was in primetime, and then it got canceled. I thought it was devastating, and that I was never going to work again. So, this has happened so many times to me (throughout my career), that I don’t get rattled anymore by it.”

WHEN YOU GET BAD NEWS …

McKenna said he wanted to go out on a high note: “It was important to me to make sure, first of all, everybody else felt comfortable because everybody felt bad and felt sad and felt upset. I was like, ‘It’s fine. We’re okay. I’m going to be fine. So, let’s make sure everyone’s okay.'”

Out of concern for his exiting co-star, Chris recalled, “I wanted to make sure that Paige got her flowers, and she had her attention and got her send off appropriately. I wanted to make sure I hugged her and told her to finish strong. It it was important to me, and also I was working with the kids (Scarlett, Danny). I try to be a mentor to some of the younger actors as well.”

LEAVING PORT CHARLES

The message Chris wanted to impart before he left the GH studios for the last time was, “I’ve been doing this so long, so I wanted to show them how to handle it. When you get bad news, it doesn’t have to devastate you, and it’s not the end of the world, and to make sure everybody’s laughing and having fun. I tried to make the the last day fun for everybody else, so that everybody could enjoy it with me.”

You can check out the full discussion with Chris with Steve and Bradford below.

Now let us know, are you still sad over the departures of Chris McKenna and Paige Herschell? What do you think about Chris’ motivational message to “finish strong?” Share your thoughts via the comment section.

‘General Hospital’ Casts Australian-Born Wil Traval as the Mysterious Jude

Published

By

Wil Travel

General Hospital is welcoming yet another new face to the canvas when Australia native Wil Traval join the cast as a mysterious stranger named Jude, who will arrive in Port Charles come October.

Traval becomes the second new Australian-born actor to join the cast. It was back on July 13, that GH viewers first saw Dean Geyer in the role of Dr. Tristan Roberts, whose name is an homage to the late Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio, GH). Could Jude and Tristan be related?

If not that theory, might Jude join the mystery involving JJE (Jasper Jacks Enterprises), which is currently under the investigation by the WSB? Since Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy) father, Jasper Jacks, is from down under, could Jude be connected business-wise or otherwise, to the mysterious Hudson (Troy Lennon Appel) who came to Port Charles with several agendas?

FROM DOWN UNDER TO PORT CHARLES

Traval is a native of Victoria, Australia, who had a recurring role in Season 3 of The CW’s Dynasty. In the primetime soap reboot, Traval played Father Caleb Collins, whose faith was put to the test when he developed feeling for Cristal Carrington (Daniella Alonso).

The GH newcomer is no newcomer to TV and film roles with an extensive credits including: Netflix’s Messiah and Jessica Jones, ABC’s Red Widow and Grey’s Anatomy, Arrow, Chicago P.D., Grimm and Once Upon a Time, to name but a few.

In his homeland of Australia, Traval is best known for portraying Dr. Jack Quade in the medical drama All Saints, and Detective Peter Church in the crime drama White Collar Blue.

So far in the last couple of months, General Hospital had brought on the following casting additions, the aforementioned Geyer and Appel, plus Kayden Brenna Tokarski (Scout Cain), Kelly Kruger (Serena Baldwin), Alimi Ballard (William Baines), Kearran Giovanni (Dr. Nichols) and Blythe Howard, who will debut next week on the Wednesday, September 23 episode as Monet.

So, with all the newbies hitting the screens on GH, is hard for you to keep up, or are you excited to see how Jude fits into the storyline with the arrival of Wil Traval this fall? Let us know your thoughts via the comment section.
