Heartbreaking that in what should be a blockbuster week instead we get Josh Griffiths and Tony Morinas lazy uninspired sad version. Shame on CBS and Sony for letting these two destroy Bill Bells legacy into basically a cheap budget store version. Everything is awkward and lame from the storytelling, sets and music score. No real couple to root for, no soapy love triangles , no threatening villains , no intrigue.
That being said I truly love my soap and keep watching because I hope it can one day return to Bill Bells legacy .

O.K. here goes: I have been finding Y&R totally unwatchable and lacking in any compelling reason to watch it for a while now. I keep on trying to see what others see (I can’t even get through a half an hour!) but sorry not sorry this show is a total mess! It’s problem is that it is BORING! I don’t care about a single current storyline, the writing is incredibly poor in quality. The actors are all fine and do their best with their material but they don’t transcend their material the way they have in the past. An occasional strong scene isn’t enough to make me care about this show anymore. It may win Emmys but it doesn’t deserve them – it just means they know which episodes to put together to deceive the judges into thinking that performer or the writers or producers did the best work or use the death of an actor to gain sympathy. I love so many of the characters: Sharon, Mariah, Nick, Traci, Ashley, Michael, Lauren – just to name a few personal favorites – but they aren’t given material that compels me to want to watch. I know others love this show and it remains #1 in the ratings but the show is a total snoozefest lately. ):

I hear you, Richard. The only thing keeping me interested is watching Michelle Stafford’s Phyllis unspooling whenever Diane is around. Even though I loathe Diane, I’m waiting for Nikki (or anyone) to uncover her duplicity and show what fools Jack, Kyle, and Summer have been. Most of the other stuff is boring (Noah and Allie, Elena and Nate) or loathsome (Nick and Sally). But I remain hopeful. I, too, miss Traci, Ashley, Lauren, Kevin, even Gloria.

Soaphound
I must admit ,this stuff with the three witches, Diane, Phyllis and Nicki have been interesting lately.Iam also enjoying the Devon, Lily, Nate shenanigans too. Chelsea is really getting on my nerves with all her craziness and what she’s putting her sons through. So glad Victoria is getting a Restraining Order against her, but poor Connor is stuck with her. Hopefully Adam can think about someone other than himself and rescue his son from that wackadoo.Dont want to give away whose husband she goes after next, just read it.

I had to remark on the little guy who plays Harrison. I think he’s having a ball, acts like it’s just fun and games. I bet he gives them all a run for their money!

My only hope is for the network to wake up and hire a new head writer.

Isn’t it CBS’s turn to hire ReRon Carlivati??

Sadly, he’s had more time to destroy Days of Our Lives than he did GH… which is still recovering from the damage he did (and is now literally repeating his mistakes)

So please…. CBS/Sony, whomever is running Y&R… hire ReRon. This show doesn’t air in Hell anyway, so at least then I’ll be rid of him.

Even RC would be better than Griffith!

50 YEARS worth of programming & shows to choose from & I can bet anything that they will mainly focus on the last 15 or so. Highly doubtful we’ll actually see shows from the early years, or any, if much, with Doug Davidson, Michael Muhney, John McCook, Heather Tom, Scott Reeves, Don Diamont & so many others from the older shows 50 years ago, like Brenda Dickson, Beau Kazer, Robert Parucha, Eddie Cibrian OR Rick Hearst, Tom Ligon, Steven Ford, DeAnna Robbins … The list truly goes on! It would really be great if they showed some of the villians & villianesses, as well, like Eve Howard, Rose DeVille, Tom Fisher, Shawn Garrett, Mr. Anthony, Tony DiSalvo, Jazz Jackson, Isabella Brana … Again, the list goes on.
However, hopes such as these are peobably futile. As long as Morina & Griffith are in charge, we’ll be lucky to see reruns of the samererun flashbacks we always have…

THIS WEEK on GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sonny Tells Carly, ‘I Don’t Owe Jason Nothing’; While Sam and Jason Come Face to Face

General Hospital previews for the week of March 25-29 pits friends and family against each other over the recent return of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), and how he is implicated as the shooter that put Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) in the hospital still in dire straits.

Last week, with the walls closing in on Jason, he turned himself in to the PCPD while lawyering up with Diane (Carolyn Hennesy). Meanwhile, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), Michael (Chad Duell), Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), and Carly (Laura Wright) all could be culpable for aiding and abetting a suspect in the shooting of a cop, and for hiding Jason.

In the latest promo for the ABC soap opera, we get a glimpse of Sam (Kelly Monaco) finally seeing Jason for the same time since his recent return, and asking him at the PCPD if he indeed shot Dante.
