The Young and the Restless Jeanne Cooper Taken Back To Hospital This Morning!

Not good news to report this Daytime Emmy morning! Daytime Emmy winner and soap legend, Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor) of The Young and the Restless who had battled back from landing in critical condition and in the ICU over the week and half is now being reported as being taken back to the hospital this morning!
According to her son actor/director Corbin Bernsen on his Facebook page: “An abundance of prayers needed this morning, mom has been taken back to hospital. Not sure what to pray for at this point or what we even want for her. I know in my heart there is more for her to do in this world, but I also know there is a season for all things. I want more than anything comfort for her. I want her to have peace. This is that tricky place where you start to weigh all things, not what we need to do, actions to take, but instead open ourselves for enlightenment as to what God has planned for her and ultimately what is best for her. She’s a fighter and I know she’ll continue that. But when you’re boxer is in the corner, bruised and bloodied from battle and demands to keep going, what do you do? I’m saying my prayers this morning, asking for guidance. Again, not reporting “the end” here, just that tricky place at the precipice and those moments requiring deepest reflection.”
OK soap fans, please, let’s send our prayers to Jeanne and her family at this time! On-Air On-Soaps will keep you updated as developments warrant!

‘General Hospital’ Alum Kelly Monaco Reveals She’s Six Months Sober

Longtime General Hospital favorite, Kelly Monaco (ex-Sam McCall), took to her Instagram on Tuesday, September 15 and shared that she is six months, seven days sober from alcohol. Monaco played Sam for 21 years on the ABC soap opera.
Accompanied by a screenshot from the I Am Sober app that tracks the progress of anyone struggling with or trying to not drink, Monaco wrote, “Now the whole 6/7 thing makes sense! #duces.”
Monaco has kept a very low profile since her final episode on General Hospital aired back on October 30, 2024, when Sam had a shocking heart attack and died. It was later revealed that Daytime Emmy nominee, Jeff Kober (ex-Cyrus Renault) injected Sam’s IV with a fatal dose of digitalis.

DANCING WITH THE STARS BEGINS NEW SEASON; KELLY WAS THE SEASON ONE CHAMP

Soap Alums Remembered During In Memoriam Segment at 78th Emmy Awards; Patrick Muldoon Omitted

During last night’s 78th annual Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony, as it does every year, the television academy paid tribute to those in the industry that they’ve lost over the last year; since the previous Emmys held each year in September.
Starting with an emotional tribute to the late Catherine O’Hara by three of her co-stars, Schitt’s Creek’s Annie Murphy and Dan Levy and Home Alone’s Macaulay Culkin, the segment then dovetailed into Noah Kahan performing “Bridge over Troubled Water” as the faces and the names of those being remembered were shown on the screen.
Daytime soap alums, who either stayed in the genre for the majority of their career, or went on to primetime success as well, were honored including: Anthony Geary (Luke, GH), Hayden Panettiere (Sarah, OLTL, Lizzie, GL, Juliette, Nashville), James Van Der Beek, (Dawson, Dawson’s Creek, and Stephen, ATWT), Gil Gerard (Alan, The Doctors), June Lockhart (Mariah, GH), Patricia Crowley (Mary, Port Charles and GH), Randolph Mantooth (Clay/Alex, Loving and The City, and Richard, GH) and Jon Cypher (Alex, ATWT and Arthur, Santa Barbara).

THOSE HONORED AND THOSE WHO WERE NOT
However, in a glaring omission, the producers of the In Memoriam failed to include Days of our Lives beloved star, Patrick Muldoon who played the OG Austin Reed and also Richard Hart on Melrose Place. Muldoon passed away in April of this year at 57.
After Kahan concluded his performance, a special tribute to Rob Reiner began with Jamie Lee Curtis taking to the stage to share some warm words about her late friend.
In a ironic and sad twist, Curtis shared ,“Last week, Robbie won an Emmy for guest actor in a comedy series for his beautiful work on The Bear, and he now holds the record of 48 years for the longest gap between acting Emmys, which was previously held by his father Carl Reiner, at 37 years.”
Reiner, who along with his wife, Michele Reiner were killed by their son, Nick Reiner, is currently awaiting a decision if he will stand trial. Prosecutors on Tuesday, shared they will not seek the death penalty if he is convicted at trial, but instead life in prison. Curtis said of Rob, “He was generous and kind and funny as hell, and a friend to all. We all miss Rob and Michele and all those we lost this year.” The Emmys then faded to black and went to commercial break.
So, were you happy to see those who you know from their work in soap operas included in the 2026 In Memoriam tribute at the Primetime Emmys? Share your thoughts in the comment section. But first, in case you missed it, you can watch it below.

So Sad to hear..God Love Her. I will keep her in my Prayers.I’ve only been watching for 5 years, but I love that show. She is A strong woman…
my prayers go out to you and your family, Corbin…i understand exactly what you are saying having been in the same place many years ago that you are in today…its not an easy place to be in, but whatever Gods will is, is what will be…
I concur…. let it be Gods Will.
that tricky Precipice is to make peace with.
I agree with you,Abby I just want to pray for Jeanne all the way.. let’s god take care of your mother to need lot of heal,Big Corbin (formerly of LA LAW and now Psych.)…and Corbin, I’m sure cast and crew of Y&R will be pray for your good old mother.
OMG…..That is worrying!
Get well Jeanne! 🙁 🙁
I hope she will make it !!!! Jeanne Cooper is the Y&R!!! And I wish all the best to her 🙂
My prayers will continue to go out for JC and her family all day.!
Prayers for Jeanne Cooper and her loved ones <3
Very sad. I think she’s still got a lot left to do and will survive this. Would love to see her back on Y&R, but overall, would just love to see her well. XOXO
i am praying for complete healing for her………………..
Jeanne and her family are in our thoughts and prayers with alot of hugs .
Prayers for Jeanne to come through her latest ordeal. God Bless.
So sad… sending Jeanne all good wishes and prayers!!! Hang in there Jeanne… you have so many who care about you and want you to stay with us for many more years!
I have thought it has been especially difficult to watch her character Katherine going through severe health issues and looking to be in a coma while this is going on in real life. I would so much rather be seeing her being the strong and feisty Katherine we know and love!!!
Corbin it is time to turn it over to God. There comes a time when you have to give her to God to do as He wills. My mama was 89 last yr when she passed away. We did everything we knew to do. She came home to my house from the hospital. She asked if she was going to get better. I never lied to mama so I told her no. She said OK I am in God’s hands. So Corbin pray His will be done. He knows what is best. I am sending prayers up. God knows best!!!
Amen Edna…from your fingers…to God‘s ears…and back to JC and Corbin. It is so nice to hear a Hollywood celebrity placing faith in the Lord and prayer. I just lost my mom in March and losing a parent is just devastating. In my case especially hard because just a year and a half ago, I lost my two oldest brothers within a month and a day of each other, both to cancer. And now my mom. If my life were a soap opera, viewers would write in and comlain about too much tragedy. But, until such things happen, we never how much strength God can give us. There is perfection in His will and His plan. Ms. Cooper has entertained us for many many years and if it is her time may she go peacefully and may her family find comfort in her amazing legacy and in the Lord. I do hope she rebounds and has more time but if not she had an amazing life and was an inspiration to many. God Bless her.
Amen Edna. I’am sending alot of prayers to this family. May they stay strong and positive during this latest setback.
Prayers are being sent!
I wish you and all your family all the best and will be praying for you. It is comforting for us as fans to know that you have your son with you. You are a strong lady and very much loved by so many. My prayers are with you all! Susan MacDuffie from Nottawa Ontario Canada
He is so articulate. I am so impressed with his conduct.
Wishing Jeanne a full and speedy recovery. We Miss her very much. Prayers continuing.!!!!
My prayers are with your mother and your family. I have watched her faithfully and almost feel like she is a friend like most soap fans. Having recently lost my mother (who went in and out of hospital for many years) you can never count someone out. Prayers for her recovery or for her peace.
Prayers being said for Jeanne Cooper and her family.
Heartbreaking news, but we have to just keep the prayers going for Jeanne, Corbin and the rest of her family. Corbin is amazing in my book, keeping us all informed on her status.
So sorry to hear about this setback. Will be praying for God’s grace and mercy for her and her family.
My heart goes to Jeanne and her family. It is difficult knowing when to admit you fought the good fight and accept whatever fate awaits you. I know from my own experience how hard it is to watch those we love struggle with illness– and being conflicted within yourself between wanting them to be alive and healthy- or at peace, even if that means losing them. My prayers are with you– whatever the outcome know you are loved.
Prayers to Jeanne and her family.
This is terrible news, praying hard for you Jeanne Cooper. We love and support you.
God is with you Jeanne , you are in good hands …
Jeanne, I am wishing you the very best of health, and a speedy recovery. You have made Y&R the best for many years, I have enjoyed all your work on the show, keep the faith , God Loves you and so do we.
Many Blessings,
Marguerita
Prayers to you Jeanne and may God give Corbin the strenght.
I have prayed now for amost three weeks that our beloved Jeanne Cooper would come through this bad time, we all have prayed, I think the whole world has prayed for her. Now we have to pray to let God’s Will be done. He and only He knows what is truly best for precious Jeanne. All I am praying for now, is that she is peaceful, as her son expressed, and that she is surrounded by her extraoridary and loving family, which she is. If it is possible for her to come back to us as she always has been, vibrant and strong and utterly beautiful, then let it so be. If God has other plans, then that will be His devine Will. But if it is her time to go to Heaven, may it be beautiful.
Amen Jolene!
You don’t have to be a celebrity to understand this family’s pain and heartache. To look beyond our own selfish desires (his, as a son who doesn’t want to lose his mom; and us, as fans who can’t bear to not watch Y & R without our Mrs. C) is the most difficult thing to face in this world. I had to do it last year with my Dad after a massive stroke. The prospect of having to let go is unbearably painful and lonely. Let’s continue to pray for her recovery, but also to give her loving family the strength and peace they will surely need. May God bless all of them.
I am praying for you and your family Ms. Jeanne Cooper. We love you dearly.
I don’t know what to say.
So sad she is going thru this. Praying for her to get well.
Jeanne cooper please please get better. we soap fans stick together. we all love you so much. we want you back on the young and the restless soon.
Amen Ms. Jeanne Cooper.
Jeanne, hang in there please! prayers are with you you have been my idol all these years watching the Y & R. you have to fight this and win. we are saying alot of prayers for you!
I send caring thoughts, healing wishes, fervent prayers, and good juju to you, Jeanne Cooper. May God grant you a swift, smooth and sure recovery from your illness. God bless you and please hurry back to Y&R! Your fans love you!
mY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU JEANNIE COOPER NEED YOU BACK ON Y&R lord knowes you are the only katherine C. may the the lay his hands upon your soul Amen
