Lucas Adams Lands First Roles Post-Y&R on ABC Crime Drama ‘R.J. Decker’ and a Top Secret Project

After Lucas Adams was suddenly written-out of story as Noah Newman on The Young and the Restless, viewers of the CBS soap opera had a bit of whiplash. However, Adams has already booked his next roles, and is said to be filming the second season of the ABC primetime crime drama R.J. Decker.
According to New Beginnings Entertainment, Lucas has been cast in a guest star role on R.J. Decker, but also a ‘really secretive project’ that is keeping him busy this month.
R.J. Decker returns for its second season beginning on Tuesday, September 15 (10pm ET). There is no further word yet when the episode that features Adams will fall in the programming schedule.

The primetime drama is inspired by the 1987 novel Double Whammy by Carl Hiaasen, and follows the story of a discredited newspaper photographer and ex-con played by series lead Scott Speedman. Each week, Decker tries to make a fresh start as a private eye in one of Southern Florida’s crime-filled areas leading to the drama.
HOW NOAH AND SIENNA LEFT GENOA CITY
It was back on the August 3 episode that fans of The Young and the Restless learned that Noah and Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) decided to leave Genoa City and head back to Los Angeles as long as Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) was still running around on the loose, amnesia or no amnesia.
Noah gave Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) the gig as the manager of the newly-opened ‘Shadow Room’ in town to look after it. Noah informed his parents (Nick and Sharon) he hoped one day to be back in Genoa City when it was safe again.
Adams made his Y&R debut back on November 4, 2025 as the successor to Rory Gibson who last played Noah on-screen until April of 2023. Lucas also played Tripp Dalton on Days of Our Lives from 2017-2024 with multiple runs on the soap opera.
So, glad to know Lucas Adams will be back on your screens soon? Missing him on The Young and the Restless? What could be the ‘secretive project’ he’s working on? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section below.

I had a feeling he would land somewhere after his stint on Y&R ended. Good for him!
Congratulations to him on the guest position at RJ Decker. However, it is my hope that he is written back into The Young and the Restless by the end of 2026, alongside Tamara Braun!
Same!
Noah Newman got screwed again. The storyline really was never about Noah, rather a lever to propel Matt Clark back into the mix. Sienna too was just an accessory. Their own story lacked any drive and like every other Noah plot, soon forgotten. I liked the artist Noah of once upon a time and wish we had that character again. Our legacy characters have children yet it seems no one thought what to do with them when they grew up. And Noah has issues to explore, he begin an anti-Newman, as a boy losing his sister Cassie, his mother’s constant dramas. I also think of Reed Hellstrom, Nina’s other son Ronan, Lauren’s sons Scott and Finn, Cane and Lily’s son Charlie. More Nate Hastings. Why only Kyle Abbott? Here are some possibilities for exciting vibrant younger men among the Y&R families to be young and restless.
that was a dumb storyline on Y&R just to remove Noah Newman once again…it seems no character will stay for this role or they dont want the role to be permanent
Get that story moving right now stop dragging your feet i hope new writer can get the show back on track
I’d love to see him on General Hospital. He has grown as an actor. I could see him with Joss.
They do not seem able to write for the Noah character, yet he’s part of a key family.
I so love Tamara Braun and very sad to see her go.
Once again, Josh Griffith can sign good talent, but he never knew what to do with them. This incarnation of Noah was ok, but the inclusion of 55 year old Tamara Braun as his “girlfriend” just didn’t work with a 33 year old Adams. What was that? He’ll do fine. Rory Gibson was wasted as Noah too, but Frank Valentini scooped him up and now he’s a very successful Michael recast on GH.
Would love to see them both come back to Days! I miss Ava.
One bad storyline after another with this soap. This actor was not a good choice to play Noah , anyway. Loved Sienna, though. Seriously, so bored with Nick and his addiction. His dialogue is the same every episode. Now your sticking him with another addict? Write something to show Adam saving Nick and being a family hero. He truly loves his brother. Give us more depth to Kyle and Victoria’s storyline. Get daring! Give Claire something besides syrupy sweetness. Nate is smart and gorgeous. Use that. And Sharon is just ridiculous in her storyline. What has happened to her acting? This soap use to be the absolute best! Not anymore.
Just so tired of the Nick drug drama. Let’s get past this already. Y & R is getting ridiculously boring. The story lines are pathetic. I hope they do not make Kyle and Victoria a couple. This would be ludicrous!!!!!

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’s’ Kelly Sullivan to Chat Live on the Michael Fairman Channel

On today’s, September 2 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Dylan’s (Sydney Bullock) mother, Darcy Dylan (Kelly Sullivan) arrived in Los Angeles and make quite the err, splash, at the Bikini bar when she was introduced to the likes of Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) and eventually, Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and more!
When Darcy met up with her daughter, we learned that momma doesn’t have much cash and went on about being a single mom and the challenges it brings, and winds up getting an offer from Dylan to stay with her and off to the races we go! The introduction brought us the return of Kelly Sullivan to daytime TV.
Now, the two-time Daytime Emmy-nominated actress will chat live on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel tomorrow on Thursday, September 3 beginning at 8pm ET/5pm PT to discuss her new role, her time away from daytime, and of course, her previous soap opera experience.

General Hospital fans remember Kelly as Crimson’s fashion editor, Kate Howard beginning in 2011, who battled dissociative identity disorder with her alter-ego, Connie Falconeri. Eventually, she was shot and killed by Ava Jerome (Maura West) in 2013, and had rekindled an old romance with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) along the way. Sullivan made one other appearance on the soap in 2014.

Next, Kelly moved over to The Young and the Restless where she played Sage Warner from 2014-2016. In story, Sage was involved with both Adam/Gabriel (Justin Hartley) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Sage is the biological mother to Adam’s son, Christian, and gave birth to him before she died, as part of a huge umbrella story that involved Sharon (Sharon Case) and Dylan (Steve Burton) too.
When not acting, Sullivan has become an accomplished acting teacher. Her previous credits include: The Morning Show, Never Have I Ever, The Winchesters, and Chicago P.D to name but a few. Kelly will also be featured in the upcoming film Ethan Almighty: Ethan’s Law, with a cast that includes: Kelsey Grammer, Brandon Routh (ex-Seth Anderson, One Life to Live) and Trevor Donovan (ex-Jeremy Horton, Days of our Lives).
FANS CAN PARTICIPATE WITH KELLY IN THE LIVE CHAT

‘Days of Our Lives’ Confirms Sydney Malakeh’s Casting as Sydney DiMera

The Sydney mystery is solved! On Wednesday, September 2, Days of Our Lives revealed more details on the previous announcement that actress Sydney Malakeh was about to make her debut on the Peacock streaming soap opera on September 9.
However, now comes word via Deadline, that while previously unknown, Malakeh is taking on the role of Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) and EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel), grown-up daughter, Sydney DiMera.
The last time anyone saw Sydney she was a pre-teen in the Days of our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas that streamed on Peacock in 2021.
Now the aged-up version is set to have a major storyline, in particular with the news of Brandon Butler showing up in his new role as Mason Whitfield, and especially the other DAYS casting announcement today of Franco LoPresti as Dante Vitali, with whom we last knew about off-screen was engaged to Sydney’s mother, Sami.
Taking to her Instagram on September 2, Malakeh shared, “Been waiting a long time to share this one. For the past 10 months, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of playing Sydney DiMera on Days of Our Lives. I cannot wait for you all to finally meet her September 9th on Peacock! It takes a village. So grateful for mine.”
WILL HISTORY REPEAT ITSELF?
From the looks of it, perhaps Sydney will be obsessed with Dante, sort of like Sami was obsessed with Austin and tried to get him away from her sister, Carrie (Christie Clark). Might Days be about to do a retread modernized version and this time have Sami on the receiving end of manipulations from her daughter? Time will tell.
As previously reported, Alison Sweeney is not due back on-screen until most likely late spring of 2027 after she taped a series of episodes last month in July.
Those who know the dramatic history of Sydney DiMera recall that back in 2008, Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker), who was married to EJ at the time, had a miscarriage and lost their baby. To hold on to her marriage, she plotted to steal Sami’s newborn daughter and switch her with another baby named Grace who’s mother was teenager Mia McCormick (Taylor Spreitler).Â
A few years later, Grace died, and then Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) began to put two and two together. After one of the biggest bitch-slap showdowns on the soaps back in 2009, Nicole admitted what she did to Sami by stealing her biological child and Sami was eventually reunited with Sydney.
The question is, do you think Sydney DiMera is a bad girl or a good girl? Do you think she and Dante Vitali might have a thing going on? Could she be involved with Mason? Weigh-in via the comment section, and just for good measure, here’s ‘The Slap!’ from Sami delivered to Nicole below.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Casts ‘Heated Rivalry’ Star Franco LoPresti as Dante Vitali

Days of Our Lives is undergoing a major shift on-screen with the additions of several new characters and actors in September, and now comes word that none other than Franco LoPresti, who appeared in the smash hit series, Heated Rivalry, has been cast as Dante Vitali!
As viewers recalled, Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) revealed on her last trip back to Salem in 2o25 that she is engaged to Dante Vitali, who hails from the notorious Vitali mob family. Remember Ava Vitali played by Tamara Braun? Dante is said to be her cousin on her father’s side.
Look for LoPresti to make his DAYS debut next week on the September 14 episode, and when Dante emerges on the scene, he will be Sami-less. However as previously reported, Alison Sweeney jumped back into her signature soap role last month in July, so she will be seen at some point in 2027, since the Peacock streaming soap opera tapes 10-11 months in advance of dropping all-new episodes.

WHAT ELSE HAS FRANCO LOPRESTI APPEARED IN?
Heated Rivalry fans will recall that LoPresti played hockey player, Cliff Marleau, who was a friend of one of the series leads Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) and who caused Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) concussion.
The Canadian-born actor has been seen on multiple movies for Hallmark Channel and Lifetime, and appeared in an episode of Tracker starring soap alum Justin Hartley (ex-Passions and The Young and the Restless) back in 2025. He is married to actress Emily Atalalo (pictured above).
What viewers do know of the back-story of Dante through Sami is that, he wanted no part of the crime family who was based in the United States. Dante had been living in Italy. But with Sami’s luck, can her engagement to this guy go any way but completely off course? We shall see!
So, what do you think about the casting of Franco LoPresti as Dante Vitali? Excited to see him hit the screen on Days of Our Lives next week? Did you watch the first season of Heated Rivalry? Comment below.
