Will Y&R’s Holden Novak Wind Up With Audra, Lily or Someone Else? Nathan Owens Weighs-In

When Nathan Owens made his debut on The Young and the Restless, viewers were initially led to believe he was Damian, the half-brother to Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and long lost son of Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford). Come to find out he was pretending to be Damian as a decoy for the real guy played by Jermaine Rivers.

Since that time, Y&R fans have come to find out that Holden shares a past with Nate’s girlfriend, Audra Charles, (Zuleyka Silver) and it seems one that has a hot and heavy and dramatic past. Meanwhile, the handsome stranger to Genoa City is surveying the town, while the real Damian has taken an interest in Lily Winters. (Christel Khalil) Just who might ultimately be the on-screen love interest for Nathan Owens in the weeks and months to come?

This week, Nathan visited the Michael Fairman Channel for a livestream interview where he weighed-in and looked to the future of who he thinks the writers might actually pair him with, as the jury is out. First, Owens explained how he views his latest television role of Holden Novak.

“He is not an evil person,” expressed Owens. “However, he is definitely a calculated person and a bit manipulative. He glosses it over with some serious charisma. He’s a charmer, but the whole time he is trying to get some information out of situations, even when he is charming.”

When discussing an on-screen love match for Holden between Lily, Audra or someone else, first, Nathan discussed working with Christel Khalil. “She is fierce. Christel comes with a bit of fire and spice whatever scene she is in, to be honest with you,” revealed Owens. “As a person, she’s just very delightful, honest, and funny too. She has a good sense of humor. As far as if Holden and Lily Winters might up in a romantic relationship together, I can’t tell you, I don’t know. Who knows? We might end up together?”

Y&R viewers can see that Audra Charles is having an issue and is bothered in more ways than one by Holden’s presence in Port Charles. “I think something very intense happened between the two of them that I think she wouldn’t like Nate to find out about,” shared Owens. “I think she’s playing it down for her own sake because I think in her reality, things are just starting to look pretty good in her relationship. Then, you drop Holden in with all this past. I think for her sake, she wants Holden out of there, but at the same time, she wants some information from him. So, there’s a bit of a cat and mouse, push and pull thing going on between the two of them. I’ll leave it at that.”

While bets are on that Holden is brought on to the canvas as romantic partner for Audra or Lily, maybe he is about to find an attraction to someone else in Genoa City as Holden spreads his wings. “Definitely,” said Owens. “Holden is quite the social person and he knows where to meet people and how to rub shoulders with people. I know that he’s kind of surveying the land. He pops up at some of the watering holes of Genoa City. You’ll see him meet a few new characters and jump into their storylines as well. I also think he’s doing that because he wants to figure out what makes this place tick, who’s who, and find out how to work his magic in that way.”

As far as other possibilities, there is only Claire and Summer, who are single, the rest are much older ladies I wouldn’t or couldn’t see with him. Even Lily is a little too old.

Christel Khalil is 37 and Nathan Owens is 40.

Besides ofcourse Lily unwhich i can picture a hot triangle between Holden/ Lily/ Damien ( Atwt redux) Claire is the only one left. ;
She’s such a pill though. Hate to say I think she may be even lamer than Abby. What’s with the lackluster young actresses on this show?

However the actress who portrays Faith is natural , beautiful and capable of leading a story. Is it too inappropriate that maybe she gets tired of being there for her family and she acts out and obsessed over a older mysterious Holden?! That could be really good

I think it’s either the character of Claire and/or the writing, because I enjoyed Haley Erin as Kiki on GH.

Just read that Mishael Morgan is returning to Genoa City.

Kelly Monaco

Longtime General Hospital favorite, Kelly Monaco (ex-Sam McCall), took to her Instagram on Tuesday, September 15 and shared that she is six months, seven days sober from alcohol. Monaco played Sam for 21 years on the ABC soap opera.

Accompanied by a screenshot from the I Am Sober app that tracks the progress of anyone struggling with or trying to not drink, Monaco wrote, “Now the whole 6/7 thing makes sense! #duces.”

Monaco has kept a very low profile since her final episode on General Hospital aired back on October 30, 2024, when Sam had a shocking heart attack and died. It was later revealed that Daytime Emmy nominee, Jeff Kober (ex-Cyrus Renault) injected Sam’s IV with a fatal dose of digitalis.

Congrats! 👏👏👏,” Ingo Rademacher (ex-Jax, GH) who just posted the hands up and heart emojis, and Lexi Ainsworth (ex-Kristina, GH) who wrote, “So proud of you 👏 badass.”

With this season’s Dancing with the Stars about to kick-off tonight, in which Kelly was the first-ever celebrity winner in season one and returned for an All-Star version, might we hear from her on her picks or thoughts on this year’s batch of contestants?

One thing has remained a constant with Kelly’s unwavering fan base, they want her back on General Hospital, because as we know in the soaps, many characters somehow come back from the dead, so why couldn’t Sam?

Soap Alums Remembered During In Memoriam Segment at 78th Emmy Awards; Patrick Muldoon Omitted

In Memoriam Emmys 2026

During last night’s 78th annual Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony, as it does every year, the television academy paid tribute to those in the industry that they’ve lost over the last year; since the previous Emmys held each year in September.

Starting with an emotional tribute to the late Catherine O’Hara by three of her co-stars, Schitt’s Creek’s Annie Murphy and Dan Levy and Home Alone’s Macaulay Culkin, the segment then dovetailed into Noah Kahan performing “Bridge over Troubled Water” as the faces and the names of those being remembered were shown on the screen.

Daytime soap alums, who either stayed in the genre for the majority of their career, or went on to primetime success as well, were honored including: Anthony Geary (Luke, GH), Hayden Panettiere (Sarah, OLTL, Lizzie, GL, Juliette, Nashville), James Van Der Beek, (Dawson, Dawson’s Creek, and Stephen, ATWT), Gil Gerard (Alan, The Doctors), June Lockhart (Mariah, GH), Patricia Crowley (Mary, Port Charles and GH), Randolph Mantooth (Clay/Alex, Loving and The City, and Richard, GH) and Jon Cypher (Alex, ATWT and Arthur, Santa Barbara).

THOSE HONORED AND THOSE WHO WERE NOT

However, in a glaring omission, the producers of the In Memoriam failed to include Days of our Lives beloved star, Patrick Muldoon who played the OG Austin Reed and also Richard Hart on Melrose Place. Muldoon passed away in April of this year at 57.

After Kahan concluded his performance, a special tribute to Rob Reiner began with Jamie Lee Curtis taking to the stage to share some warm words about her late friend.

In a ironic and sad twist, Curtis shared ,“Last week, Robbie won an Emmy for guest actor in a comedy series for his beautiful work on The Bear, and he now holds the record of 48 years for the longest gap between acting Emmys, which was previously held by his father Carl Reiner, at 37 years.”

Reiner, who along with his wife, Michele Reiner were killed by their son, Nick Reiner, is currently awaiting a decision if he will stand trial. Prosecutors on Tuesday, shared they will not seek the death penalty if he is convicted at trial, but instead life in prison. Curtis said of Rob, “He was generous and kind and funny as hell, and a friend to all. We all miss Rob and Michele and all those we lost this year.” The Emmys then faded to black and went to commercial break.

So, were you happy to see those who you know from their work in soap operas included in the 2026 In Memoriam tribute at the Primetime Emmys? Share your thoughts in the comment section. But first, in case you missed it, you can watch it below.
