THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS Preview: Adam and Chelsea Share a Kiss and Victor and Jack’s Feud Reignites

Photo: JPI

The week of July 1-July 5th, brings with it several turning points for key characters on The Young and the Restless. In previews, after Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) visited their son Connor in Baltimore, his OCD flared up.

Adam and Chelsea decided it was best for them to stay put awhile longer, before heading back to Genoa City. Once at their hotel in Baltimore, Chelsea is overwhelmed at the situation and as Adam tries to be there for her, the two suddenly start making out. How far will this go? It seems like Adam and Sally (Courtney Hope) have finally gotten themselves on the righ.

Elsewhere, Jack’s (Peter Bergman) world is about to crumble thanks to machinations from Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) husband and Jack’s longtime nemesis, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Thus far, Victor has gotten Jack’s son, Kyle (Michael Mealor) to come work for Glissade with Audra (Zuleyka Silver), after Diane (Susan Walters) fired Kyle from Jabot.

In the show video preview, Jack tells Nikki, “It is tearing me apart.” Nikki replies, “Talk to me, Jack. Let me be there for you the way you have been there for me.” The Jack/Nikki alliance will certainly kick-up Victor’s worst tendencies as he already is set to make Jack pay for the night he almost died in trying to stop Nikki from drinking as her AA sponsor.  Is Victor going to sic Jordan (Colleen Zenk) on Jack?

The Chancellor-Winters business split has finally arrived where Lily (Christel Khalil) and Billy (Jason Thompson) are taking over Chancellor while Devon (Bryton James) and Nate (Sean Dominic) will run Winters. However, Billy and Lily don’t look to happy about the outcome.

Below are the official show teasers for the week of July 1-5th:

Monday, July 1, 2024

Tuesday, July 2, 2024

Wednesday, July 3, 2024

Adam bangs the ex and Jack and Nicki continue the decades long flirtation YR at its best

Well Jack and Victor did have some explosive scenes over the years. Especially, the one where Jack threw that office chair out the big office window and another one when he thought Victor had a heart attack and he just walked over “his body” Did you see or remember when Victor gave Jack CPR during a building collapse, saving his life and Jack asked him why he did it and Victor answered, because a lot of people I love, love you
People can put this show down, all they want, but in the end, it never disappoints, guess I’m just a true fan.

So true. But I do like Adam and Sally together. I would rather have Jack flirt with Nicki than stay with Diane, who I think is reverting back to her bitchy ways and using crocodile tears to keep Jack on her side.

I don’t think she’s ever changed, she’s just gotten worse now that she’s ensconced in the Abbott family, she can do whatever she wants. She’s got Jack “whipped” as they say, so whatever she wants, he falls in line, even as far as to firing their own son.

Their excuse being that they just came together during their mutual grief over their son, which makes some sense in a way, watching their scenes.

Adam is better off with her than with Sally yuck

Wow, another Abbott/Newman feud. How original.

Ted King Returns to The Bold and the Beautiful, and an Unexpected Death Kicks-off a Summer Mystery Storyline

This week on The Bold and the Beautiful, Daytime Emmy-winner, Ted King makes a return in the role of Jack Finnegan. King has not appeared on-screen on the CBS soap opera since back in July of 2023.

In story, Jack is the father of Finn (Tanner Novlan) and years later it was revealed he had a fling with Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) who is the biological mother to the young doctor. However, Finn was raised by Jack and his adoptive mother, Li (Naomi Matsuda).

King, who became soap famous for his roles on General Hospital as both Luis and Lorenzo Alcazar, also has appeared as Danny on The City/Loving and as Tomas Delgado on One Life to Live, won a Daytime Emmy in the Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series category at the 49th annual Daytime Emmy Awards for his role as B&B’s Jack.

Earlier this month, Ted took to his Instagram account where he shared a photo, which can now only be viewed as a tease on his imminent return to B&B. King shared a pick of himself in the hallways of the soundstage where the iconic ‘Carol Burnett Show’ was taped at Television City in Los Angeles. Ted wrote these words accompanying the post: “Love being back in this building where icons have roamed the hallways for years!”

Official B&B teasers for the week also share that: Aaron D. Spears returns on the July 1st episode reprising his role of Justin Barber, while Clint Howard also continues to appear as Tom. In addition, Hollis Chambers returns as Hollis on July 2nd, and look for more of Diamond White as Paris Buckingham on July 3, 4 and 5th.

The Tuesday July 2nd episode also brings with it the kick-off of a summer mystery storyline, when someone dies unexpectedly. Now the question becomes who will die? Earlier in June, Kimberlin Brown visited the Michael Fairman Channel, where she teased what’s ahead on the show, and shared, “There’s some big stuff happening on the show coming up that. I wish I could say more. I got the script and when we were filming it, I was going, ‘Oh my gosh, this is just too good.’ There are a lot of characters involved in it. There’s something coming up, but it’s not what they (viewers) think.” Could this be the plot point Brown was referring to?

Photo: JPI

Previously, B&B also teased that Tanner Novlan and Naomi Matsuda would also be involved in the summer mystery as well as Jim Belushi’s daughter, Jameson Belushi, who will appear on the July 15th episode.

So, is B&B bringing Ted King only to have Jack get killed-off? Will Poppy try to get rid of Tom, who says he is Luna’s father, ruining her plans for passing off Luna as Bill Spencer’s daughter? Could Justin come back and threaten Thomas over the death of his niece Emma Barber, which winds up costing Justin his life somehow? Does someone else have damaging intel that would spell massive trouble for another character that they need to be silenced? Share your theories via the comment section below.

‘General Hospital’s’ Sonny Tells Ava She’s Moving Out, Now Will Her Plan Backfire?

This week on General Hospital, Sonny (Maurice Benard) informs Ava (Maura West) that she’s moving out of his penthouse. In the newly released promo from the ABC soap opera, you can tell that the mobster catches his unsuspecting roomie off guard.

Whatever Ava has been plotting has now hit a major bump in the road, if she can’t keep tabs on Sonny so closely. She has constantly been a fly on the wall to all his interactions, while knowing he is not getting the proper full dosage of his meds to keep check his bipolar disorder.

Seems like Sonny may want the penthouse all to himself to also spend some time with Natalia (Eva LaRue) as the two have been enjoying each others company. And on the Friday, June 28th episode, teasers share that “Sonny and Natalia get closer.”

In other moments in the promo, Carly (Laura Wright) is upset after learning that Jason (Steve Burton) put two and a half years of his life on hold, and stayed away from his family, just to protect her after incriminating evidence surfaced on her.

Last week, Sam (Kelly Monaco) revealed to Carly that there is tape of her time leading the Corinthos organization and a meeting with the five families. So, what’s a girl to do? Visit Brennan (Charles Mesure) in jail.

Meanwhile, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna (Finola Hughes) are playing a game of cat and mouse over his involvement with Pikeman, and Finn (Michael Easton) confronts Tracy (Jane Elliot) as to where his daughter, Violet (Jophielle Love) is after his drinking binge.

Watch the full promo below. Then let us know, what do you think Ava’s actual plot against Sonny is? Do you think Valentin is truly the head of Pikeman? What is Carly trying to do now that she knows that Jason did all of this for her? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
