Looks like we our finally getting to Cane’s (Billy Flynn) warning to Chance (Conner Floyd), that someone is going to try to murder “him,” or be murdered, on upcoming episodes this week on The Young and the Restless.

In the Y&R video preview for the action the week of July 14, while in France, Cane is talking with Damian (Jermaine Rivers), who seems out of it. Damian confronts him with, “You’re not trying to poison me because of Lily (Christel Khalil), are you?” Cane replies, “Well, I’m drinking the same stuff you are. So, unless I’m trying to take us both out …”  Meanwhile, someone is in the shadows watching what’s going on. Next, Damian appears to pass out, but from all appearances, Cane looks suspicious.

Later, Nick (Joshua Morrow) confronts Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) as to who’s side she is going to be on, Cane or everyone’s else’s? She is acting suspicious and says, “What exactly did he see?”

Next, giving a nod to Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, Chance gathers all the potential suspects in one of the train cars including: Nick, Phyllis, Devon (Bryton James), Lily, Abby (Melissa Ordway), Cane and Amanda (Mishael Morgan) after what appears to be Damian’s murder. It’s clear, he is soon going to be interrogating everyone as to their whereabouts before and after what went down.

One thing we should not forget! In Michael Fairman TV’s recent interview with Vincent Stalba, who plays Aristotle Dumas/Cane Ashby’s trusted assistant, Carter, he teased Carter would do anything for his boss. Could he have been ordered to poison Damian, or could have taken the initiative to do so himself, thinking his boss would want him to do get rid of the victim? Stay tuned.

Now, take a look at the official Y&R spoilers for the week of July 14-18 below:

Monday, July 14

Cane confronts Damian about his feelings for Lily, Amanda strikes a deal, and Phyllis finds herself in a dangerous situation.

Tuesday, July 15

Nick devises an escape plan, Chance investigates a crime, and Lily’s world is turned upside down.

Wednesday, July 16

Devon connects the dots, Amanda questions Cane’s motives, and Nick makes a shocking discovery.

Thursday, July, 17

Victor protects his family’s interests, Cane is forced to defend himself, and Lily shares damaging information with Chance.

Can someone tell me if Michael and Lauren left France? They arrived with Abby and Chance, but I haven’t seen them since. Did I miss an episode?

Always liked Billy Flynn on days and no fault to him but restless is a bore It has become a cure for insomnia I’m a week behind and am just tempted to leave after a very long time ! Does anyone else agree ?

Yes!

Yes, I do. I watched the first week that Billy was on to see what he would do. He was, imo, great in the role and nothing like Chad which proves he’s a great actor. BUT, Y&R is so boring that I didn’t go any further. #SnoozeFest

Many people call it YawneR.

Why “murder” Damian when the actor who plays him was just given a contract and added to the opening credits? Perhaps the actor who portrays Cane’s assistant is the one who bites the dust and is taken out by no one we know. It’s really dumb and stupid of the writers to throw a red herring out in the way that they did, that we’d be stupid enough to believe that Damian gets murdered, especially when he has reconnected with his mom and found his half-brother.

With all that is common sense Y&R gets shut out of the stupid Emmy’s ! Then just maybe you might get a new writer etc ! But wait as long as the old men are leading story I doubt it. And four actresses nominated from Y&R you have to be out of your bloody minds. Narcissistic actresses four nominated really. Just shut this soap down now.

Damian was always DOA Lilly let’s get honest here had never had a relationship with a black guy always whit relationships ask yourself why . But oh no that would be racist ugh

If Y n R kills off Damien after all these months buiding this character and his attraction to Lily I’m officially done with this show. He and Lilys budding romance is one of the few bright spots on this dragging sad show.

The idea that anybody would find that insipid Lily worth fighting over, much less killing for, is so far fetched that it makes the story unbelievable from the get-go.

Just remember that the man running Y&R has no actual concept of what he’s trying to do or accomplish. It shows in what we see onscreen. I think he does this on purpose, so that we can’t follow along.

Such busy important wealthy people would not be off the grid this long without media on the story and businesses in great need. Who has these luxuries? I love a good mystery but it needs to be based in some sort of reality, even during daytime. If Cane was this savvy then as he is now, how could that homewrecker have gotten away with drugging him, having his child, and upending his marriage to Lily. I do think Y&R needs a new writing team, and maybe a dose of reality. It’s been along haul of storylines — April’s murder, Aunt Jordan, the revival of the cult, Sharon and Phyllis trapped together — that do not pay off with suspense or effect on stories in the long term. Seems were are biding our time and grasping at straws. Come on Y&R! You have the talent and resources to be great!

No surprise, ratings for the week ending July 4th shows Y&R lost viewers. TPIR gained viewers so go figure. I guess that one week bump is already subsiding.

Lily’s tears and mourning are not infectious—a bit too much. I believe Cane. He was the target—unless it was a set-up making Cane the culprit. Maybe, we will find out nefarious stuff about Damian.

The show’s writing this week has been so bad, Wednesday’s episode should have had a laugh track behind it. The lines were so forced, the dialouge so bad. Painful. But you have to laugh.

Who killed Damian? Not Cane-who?? Billy? Holden? I would say Victor, but I doubt it. I still think Damian was a bad guy and knew too much. Maybe it was Jason from GH doing Sonny’s dirty work?LOL.

General Hospital Fall Preview

General Hospital’s co-head writers, Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte have given the ABC daytime drama’s fall preview of what to look for in the months ahead in Port Charles.

According to the scribes, as told to TV Insider,  “Unexpected arrivals, unexpected romance and unexpected connections,” are the order of the season, plus, “secrets are going to be exposed that will upend lives for better and worse — and new secrets will need to be kept.”

In the relationship department, don’t expect everything to go the way you may think! Let’s take a look at some of the highlights that point to some major moments in the near future on GH.

Photo: ABC

ROMEO AND JULIET

“The conflict between Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) will continue to build with potentially fatal consequences,” shared the head writers as Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) and Rocco’s (Finn Carr) relationship gets more solid, the more it will be tried to be pulled apart, especially by Drew. This is what they are calling their “Romeo and Juliet” young love story.

BURYING JACK BRENNAN

Nina (Cynthia Watros) will be in the hot seat, thanks to evidence planted by Drew and Carly (Laura Wright) overhearing her threatening the MIA Jack. According to the GH head writers, “Nina may face a dark future — but perhaps not as dark a future as those who seek her downfall.” Meanwhile Ava (Maura West) and Drew’s unholy alliance will have “repercussions for years to come.” Let’s not forget they buried Jack’s body.

JASON AND BRITT MAY NOT LAST

Those who wanted Jason (Steve Burton) and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) romance to come to an end, may get their wish! As the head scribes shared, “Decisions Britt made to stay alive while under (Ross) Cullum’s thumb will come back to haunt her and may prove too difficult for this unlikely couple to survive.”

Photo: ABC

ANNA’S BREAKING POINT AND CAN VALENTIN STAY AWAY ?

As for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), who Jason is trying to save and who has lost her way (thanks to visions of Peter August) and being gaslighted by Cullum and company, it will, “lead to her breaking point and  may lead another person to an early grave.” On that note, Carly and Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) relationship is tested after his attempt to buy back Spoon Island. Only problem is someone else got their first, and it may be hard for Valentin to deny his feelings for Anna aren’t greater than he thinks.

BROOK LYNN’S LIFE AS SHE KNOWS IT BLOWS UP IN HER FACE

The writers added, “Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) face a turning point. Her secret may finally unravel their marriage; worse, it may leave the family vulnerable when someone comes calling with a claim on Phoebe.” Will Chase now hop between the sheets with his ex Willow? And, will Hudson (Troy Lennon Appel) stake his claim to be the father of the little Phoebe? How can Brook Lynn’s life as she knows it survive this?

TRINA’S STALKER … WHO IS IT?

Does Trina (Tabyana Ali) have a stalker … or a true number one genuine fan? Whatever the case, something ominous is going to happen to Kai (Jen Austin Astrup), when the GH writers shared, “Kai is true blue and will step up to defend Trina— but his closeness to Trina may prove detrimental to his health.” In addition, the stalker situation pairs up Emma (Braedyn Bruner) and Trina to try get to the bottom of who is behind it, but in doing so, may have put a target on Emma’s back.

Photo: ABC

‘BLOODY’ SITUATION WHERE JOSSLYN IS CONCERNED

Josslyn  Eden McCoy) gets new orders from the WSB after Brennan goes missing, and things may get “bloody” report the writers. They add, “Joss has her sights set on Sonny — but she’s a target, too. JJE is a big prize, and she isn’t the only one entitled to it.” Who else could be?

Photo: ABC

PAST ROMANCE FOR ALEXIS COMES BACK AROUND

Could Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Ric (Rick Hearst) find themselves in each other’s arms? According to the GH head writers, “A past romance will rear its head in a surprising way,” for Alexis. Who else could it be if not Ric, who may feel jilted by Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) if she and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) get any closer? Might it be the return of Jerry Jacks?

MICHAEL AND JORDAN BECOME CLOSE

Michael (Rory Gibson) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) will develop a “special bond” while working together at Aurora and while Curtis (Donnell Turner) is away in prison. However, “a face from Jordan’s past will complicate her future. We’ll start to learn more about the woman Jordan was before she ever joined the DEA and came to Port Charles.” Is this William Baines (Alimi Ballard) or someone else yet to arrive? Stay tuned.

So, which of the story points listed above pique’s your interest the most? Are you excited about the fall on General Hospital? Let us know your thoughts via the comment section.
