The Young and the Restless begins 2026 with Matt Clark’s (Roger Howarth) revenge front and center stage and the war between the Newmans and the Abbotts. In the latest promo and in a preview o episodes airing the week of January 5-9, after keeping his wife, Sienna (Tamara Braun) kidnapped in a motel room, Matt decides its time to hide her in a new location. Along with his co-conspirator, Annie (Catherine Kresge), they try to stuff her in the backseat of a car.

Sienna fights back and hits Matt in the lips. He sees blood and as he wipes it away as he announces, “You drew first blood .. but I will draw the last.” Meanwhile, Nick (Joshua Morrow) thinks he has a plan to stop Matt Clark, but by week’s end it might blow up in his face.

Elsewhere, a very smug, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) thinks he has a way to one-up Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and reveals to Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters), “A man from Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick’s past has shown back up and is harassing them.” Diane questions why would this help them, and a gleeful Kyle says “Just wait until you hear.”

Speaking of Diane, she’s not be a happy camper where Jack is concerned when he continues to show his allegiance to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).  Are we soon heading for a Nikki/Jack redux? They were last married in 2012, or is all of this just going to amount to something else? Stay tuned.

Here’s a look at the official Y&R spoilers for this week, and what to what to watch for on The Young and the Restless below.

Monday, January 5

Now let us know, what do you think the Abbotts will do to Matt Clark? Is this all about the AI software? Do you hope Sienna is reunited with Noah soon? Do you think Diane and Victor will continue to be annoyed by the closeness of Jack and Nikki that it ultimately costs the two their marriages? Weigh-in via the comment section.

The show itself sucks but Roger Howarth is rising way above the material

I agree but I feel bad for the guy. GH made him a Franco recast, a sociopathic rapist and now Y&R has made a Matt Clark recast, also a sociopathic rapist. Why can’t they write a new role for the guy? It should also be noted that Todd Manning from Y&R was also a rapist.

I’m sure Roger took the Y&R role knowing exactly what character and his background was.

He actually had a long run as Franco, despite the character’s prior history (most of which they tried to wipe away with a brain tumor). He made Franco somewhat likable and had really good chemistry with Rebecca Herbst.

Roger was unable to overcome a poorly conceived character (Austin) when according to reports, the network refused to let him play Todd again.

Roger Howarth is one of the best soap actors i have seem. I hope he stay on Young and the Restless for a long while.

Maybe it’s the run of a day since Sienna was kidnapped?, but shouldn’t she shower and change clothes. Maybe that would calm her alittle. I’m J/S.. When will Mariah make a decision without Ian Ward popping up? Hope the reason surfaces soon. This story line is playing out toooo long..

It’s a major week on General Hospital, and in the just released ABC promo for the action in and out of Port Charles, a major return, a baby on the way, and a displaced congressman coming back to life are at its epicenter. Let’s take a look!

In episodes airing July 13-17, first, Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) is seen at the Metro Court pool trying to get justice for Jason! “My dad’s in prison because he covered for Rocco,” exclaims the teenager.

Next, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) is about to watch the domino effect of all her misdeeds and machinations come back to bite her. Now that Sidwell is in police custody, she has no way to gain access to the paralytic drug she has been using for months to keep her husband Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in a locked-in state, unable to speak or move.

WILLOW IS LOSING CONTROL OF DREW

However, Drew is seen and he can finally move his hands and his feet and is moving around in his wheelchair. Then, Willow is seen beginning to freak out sharing, “We won’t be able to control Drew much longer!” Is Drew finally coming to get his comeuppance? What will be his first move against Willow, once he can walk and talk?

Finally, the promo comes to its conclusion, and Portia (Brooke Kerr) has suddenly gone into labor and she’s all alone! Will Curtis (Donnell Turner) or Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) show up in time or someone else to help her deliver her baby? Will there be medical complications that could derail the birth of her child? Stay tuned.

In addition, you can check out the full list of official GH spoilers for the week here.

Now let us know, will Jason be released from his imprisonment pronto thanks to Josslyn’s deal with Z, or suffer some more? Do you hope Drew gets payback on Willow? And who do you think will help deliver Portia’s baby? Weigh-in via the comment section below, but first check out “The Clock is Ticking” latest GH promo.
