This week on all-new episodes of The Young and the Restless, after finding Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Dominic (Nathan Ray Clark), and reuniting the little boy with his parents, Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Devon (Bryton James), Sharon (Sharon Case) is overwhelmed with concern for her daughter’s mental instability.

Mariah is now having a complete meltdown in horror of realizing that she kidnapped Dominic was racing to get him to Mexico, and for months had been hearing the voice of Ian Ward (Ray Wise). At the same time, Daniel (Michael Graziadei talks with his father, Danny (Michael Damian) about his burgeoning feelings for Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), and with Mariah back, what this will mean for them.

Meanwhile, in the Y&R video teaser for February 16-20, Sharon not only had to deal with how to help Mariah, but her ex-husband Nick (Joshua Morrow), who has been in horrific physical pain since breaking his leg in a car crash with his nemesis Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) in tow. In a key moment, Sharon is bringing Nick some tea when she catches him quickly stuffing the baggy with fentanyl pills in his pocket. Sharon questions Nick, “What was that? What did you just hide from me?” It’s clear as fans predicted Nick is going to, or has, developed a dependency on painkillers.

In a recent livestream interview with Sharon Case on the Michael Fairman Channel, when Morrow was questioned if Y&R viewers should be concerned if a Nick pain pill addiction story was on the way, the longtime star was coy and teased, “It doesn’t seem like something that would happen to Nick. I mean, he is really too put together for something like that. I’ve been hearing questions about that as well (from the fans).  Who knows?  I feel like I’ve played almost everything on this show. I haven’t played anything like that, so we’ll see. ”

Then, as Billy (Jason Thompson) has finally regained control of Chancellor, he has a war of words with his brother, Jack (Peter Bergman), which ignites old tensions between them. Billy thinks Jack is jealous that he is the, “Abbott who bested Victor Newman” (Eric Braeden). Speaking of Victor, he continues his plot against Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn)!

Take a look at the official Y&R spoilers for the week of February 16-20 below.

Now weigh-in: Do you think Mariah should be put away in a sanitarium? Is that where she may meet up with Patty Williams now that Stacy Haiduk is making a return appearance in the role? Are you fed up with what the writers have done to Mariah and Tessa, or are you preferring Tessa with Daniel? And what of Nick? I want to see Tessa with Daniel. Mariah is eventually gonna go off rhe rails again. She can’t help it. And I want to see Cane come out on top of all the mess with Victor and Phyllis.

Tessa and Mariah belong together especially when they have Aria. There is absolutely no chemistry with Tessa and Daniel they should be just friends. Mariah needs all the support she can get. It is not her fault Ian is controlling her. Her family needs to be there for her and help her get back on track.

I absolutely agree with you.

It’s a shame how they have Abby on an island away from the Newmans and the Abbotts. She’s Ashley’s daughter, but she didn’t call for updates on her grandson? She also a Newman, Victor’s daughter and he’s concerned with Cane, Billy & Phyllis? Victoria got an update from Nate that her nephew was found and she says, “oh, good! I have to call Abby.” (?) Same goes for Jack. Not one mention about Dominic, but he can comfort Nikki for the millionth time! Diane was right to be pissed off with him!

The only good thing about this dumb story was seeing Abby who was great they need to have her on permanently.

Y&R should study Heated Rivalry to learn how to create a compelling story.

The Newmsn family is the Trump family of the soaps. Victor is just like Donald Trump, a bully, threatening people, kidnapping their family, lying, trying to get revenge because he doesn’t like them. Adam is Don Jr, Nick is Eric Trump, Victoria is Ivanka Trump, Nicki is Melanie who sits back and go along with and justify whatever Victor does. Not one of them will stand up to Victor and tell him when he’s wrong or goes to far.
When the table is turned against Victor he does just like Donald Trump, lie and blame everyone else. If his family question him, he yells at them and they fall in line with his evilness. Thanks for nothing Y&R, you’ve stoop to a new low, kidnapping someone’s family for personal gain. Even Donald Trump hadn’t sunk that low.
