THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS: Victoria Headed for Heartbreak Over Ashland
This week on Y&R, look for Victor (Eric Braeden) to be hot on the trail of Ashland’s (Robert Newman) deception where it comes to his health crisis and concerns. Victor is worried or his daughter Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) marriage to Ashland, and is poised to bring Ashland down.
In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now, it teases, Victoria is worried that Ashland taking a more active role in the company will be detrimental to his health … there may be no health problem at all!
In story, Michael (Christian LeBlanc) sends Victor a video of a doctor formerly employed at the Peruvian clinic admitting that Ashland paid him to falsify his medical records. Now, Victor wants Ashland to own up to his lies and mistakes and leave Victoria’s life ASAP. But, will that happen?
Watch the latest promo for The Young and the Restless below.
So, do you think Ashland is indeed been lying all along about his health and faking his illness? Will Victor drive a wedge between Ashland and Victoria once and for all? Let us know your theory via the comment section.
this storyline is an absolute bore.
The whole show is an absolute bore ! I was watching old clips from the 90s and the show was Prime time quality . This show is truly pathetic. I haven’t watched in months and will not until it gets better . I have my doubts that it will . Again a simple formula of restoring the old music scores , dimming the lights , and having at least one villain would improve the show. Where is the drama ? Does anyone die on the show ? There are way too many companies to focus on ! I could go on and on . Bring back Mari Jo , Tricia or Patty or create a new villain .
I too miss the old music and some of the sets have been altered without the same charm.
Since Summer and Kyle left show..no reason to keep watching. Very boring
I So agree with you since they have left the show has lost its mojo when major characters leave you gave to have other stories ready. See days of our lives for details there is never a slow down. Yandr has written nothing exciting since summer and Kyle left
I can hardly wait until Ashland Locke’s agenda is revealed and smug, vindictive Princess Victoria gets hers. Her megalomania is out of control, not to mention her sadistic pleasure in torturing Adam. My only wish would be that Adam be the one to rescue Newman Enterprises before Locke steals the entire empire from her adoring hands.
Soaphound…’vindictive Princess Victoria’…very, very accurate description…lol. More and more, I keep looking forward to Victoria’s downfall. To me, she is such an insufferable bore. Tick Tock Tick Tock…
Love it, Soaphound. And will the smug Princess Victoria ever be found out for her lie that she’s the one who put a stop to Billy’s stupid plan? That’s what swayed her father to her side over Adam’s. On another note, I felt your abject disappointment when both Moses and Faith announced they would not be leaving GC to attend college. THUD! They got our hopes up when they discussed attending out-of-state colleges.
Don’t like the new Ashland
I wondered if that was why Victor kept Adam on as the head of that arm of the Newman empire — to catch Ashland and his devious deeds.
Agreed
Agreed, Soaphound—Victoria is not Victoria. She’s getting more and more blood-thirsty—which makes me wonder how she has fallen under Ashland’s spell.
Yet, after today’s ep, I may have been too hasty in my estimation of her stupidity.
The shards of ice spitting out of her eyes as Ashland was signing “the contract”, could have frozen hell ( sorry Satan).
Is she on the know? Is she playing Ashland to see how far he will go? Beware of a woman scorned!!
I really don’t like this guy. I’ve never heard of him—Burgi was much more likeable–more en par with Victoria.
Well, Celia, here’s my take. Robert Newman was on GUIDING LIGHT for many years in, basically, the Nick Newman role — the youngest scion of a wealthy family who mostly followed his own path. And he was adored in that role, particularly as half of the Reva & Josh super-couple juggernaut. But.. he’s not convincing as a devious Ashland; he seems afraid of his own shadow when he’s not confronting anyone. And Victoria today looked like she was coming down from a bad LSD trip. Her eyes were practically rolling in her head when she gave Ashland that contract. Can’t wait to see her comeuppance..no doubt to be blamed on Adam.
If Ashland didn’t love Victoria in the beginning I think he does now and will not want to risk throwing it all away. Its hard to speculate not knowing all the details but Victoria has to weigh all the facts and think with her heart as well as her ledger and Daddy’s findings. Hopefully she’ll trust her heart as well as all the other stuff and not throw it all away out of some false pride.
I agree with you ; she should remember her father’s character ! She and Ashland could become a power house !
As usual the ‘writers’ are scrapping by making up new plot points as they go brutally along. I bet once they realised that without Burgi as Ashland they should just go back to their original lame idea that Ashlands just a unredeemable villian. Without Richard Burgis charm and amazing chem with Amelias Victoria the new Ashland as portrayed by Robert Newman doesnt show the same affection or desire for Victoria. And vice versa. Now we get more daddy mumbles moustache and boring lost Billy boy to the rescue. Someone pls give Billy a vacation.
Sidenote…bcharacter posing as a major one Abby s left to fend by herself with her newborn crisises while Jack and Tracy investigate silly texts and Victor continues his constant schemes . Maybe since the shows obviously on severe budget constraints for whatever reason Nikki could reach out to Abby? Shes really outofplace as a high level exec blindly agreeing with her ruthless husband. Or howabout bored Nick , lovesick Noah, insomniac Billy, m.i.a Esther, supposed besties Mariah or Elena? Abby turning to Sharon? Who btw really needs a practice or howbaout teamimg up with Nick and helping his community outreach? This would give them a practical reason to reconnect! Maybe sidelined Faith whos poorly stuck in friendzone with that horribly casted Moses can volunteer there for school hours can meet a troubled good looking boy ?
This show seems beyond repair at this point…these past feb’sweeps’ are more like feb’sleeps’
WHY DO YOU NOT LIKE MOSES, IS HE NOT ENOUGH OF A BAD BOY FOR YOU?? I THINK HES A GOOD EXAMPLE OF A NICE YOUNG MAN, HIS RACE DOES NOT MATTER!!
Moses is just so dull as is Faith. And who mentioned anything about race? That said, I find Ashland way more interesting now that he’s played by the immensely talented Robert Newman. I used to fast forward through Ashland scenes but no longer. I do, however, fast forward through the endless irritating and boring Abby-Devon-Chance baby storyline. I don’t even recall the baby’s name since he has about a million last names. The only folks I find interesting right are Adam and Sally.
Harry, if you’d told me three months ago that I’d be rooting for Sally and Adam, I would have said you’re not paying attention. Well, here I am rooting for them to succeed, hopefully in pulling Newman Enterprises/Locke/Media/ChanceCom out of Victoria’s greedy hands for good! At least Sally, opportunist though she is, doesn’t cut off Adam at the knees like Victor. Across town, yes Moses (the actor) is cute but he’s dull and Faith has become insufferable. And the Chance Abby Devon (Chabon?) story is more played out than a Justin Bieber record. ENOUGH! Whenever they come on screen, I hit FF and proudly shout, “I gave already!” Cheers, Harry!
Faith is insufferable and she has a resting bitch face. Love the Justin Bieber reference. I really thought the writers were going to realize their horrendous mistake with the baby storyline and end it. But NO!! Instead, they keep it going and going. It’s like the Duracell Bunny on tranquilizers.
Harry
I don’t know if I’ll be able to sleep until you tell me what a “resting bitch face ” is. I’ve truly never heard this expression.
Soaphound…i know she’s not perfect, but I’ve liked Sally ever since B&B where she was the main attraction for me. Especially compared to the continual rotating “love” and baby stories. I missed Adam in his really bad boys days. So I am rooting for him, too. As far as Victoria I don’t think the only reason she doesn’t want Ashland taking a more active role in the company isn’t entirely because she doesn’t want him to overdo since it could be detrimental to his health, but because he is already overstepping and may want to take her control of Newman Locke over. I see it in her eyes, deep down she’s already insecure, she’s seen it before with Victor. In this way she is like Billy, some demons never die.
I agree with the Adam and Sally comments.
Who mentioned his race!???
GLENNA
Of course he’s a good kid, and who cares what the hell color he is? I would bet that 99% of us just find these kids not only boring, through no fault of their own, but totally unnecessary to the scrip. I think most of the viewers are adults and therefore not interested in their teenage angst. As far as I’m concerned, they are just fill-ins when there’s nothing else going on. No one has anything against the kids themselves.
Violet…I agree with you on some of the younger set and their storylines. Maybe it’s because they are written by older adults who forgot what it was like to be teens. Thus write what some find boring, fill-in stories. Ones that do interest me are Trina, Jos, Spenser and Esme on GH.
The Days teen set also delivers! The last time y n r had a successful teen supercouple was J.T and Colleen..but then the new writers destroyed that
rose
They are my favorites too, although Joss was a little extra bitchy the other day, so much that she hurt and embarrassed Trina who Joss sas trying to help.
Race? You lost me
…
Boring is boring no matter race. Was alluding to Faith should be involved in atleast a teen triangle with a badboy opposite of Theo the nice kid!
100% on Burgi…..I liked him! And him and Amelia character was a lit more authentic…..I saw Burgi in a cop movie, he’s a good actor!! That was really messed up….unless there’s something someone left out….
He was good on GH too, played Tracy’s ex-husband, really bad guy!
Until ReRon turned him into a serial killer…. and didn’t give him the brain tumor “get out of jail free card” that he gave other serial killers.
That means that Nicholas her brother was right all along….I thought that it was something fishy about him from the start also….She is going to be heartbroken….But, u know Victor he always has something up his sleeves.
Definitely I said it right from the start. He just want Newman Enterprises .He out to destroy Victor. He got his claws in Victoria and now he is about to finish the job.
I had him figured out right from the start,he is after Newman enterprises. He got his clawsinto Victoria to get to Victor. That is his intention all along to destroy Victor.
He never was sick. His plan is to take over Newman-Locke to get even with Victor for making him sign that paper before he’d call 911 for his heart attack.
i think that way too i think this whole thing was a ploy to get even with victor
Doris, Cindy
I thought the same thing at first, than changed my mind, now I don’t know what the hell I think!
Perhaps Victoria knows of Ashland’s lies and is going to bring him down herself. She is smart and has a lot to prove to Daddy. Billy is Victoria’s true love.
Do not want to attack the show anymore watched it for many years! God bless them all they have tried it is just not the soap it was years ago! Time goes by fast and so it does’ I won’t come back it just does not interest me anymore!
Didn’t Nate run tests? Didn’t Ashland go to the hospital for treatment? A lot of people would have to be in on the conspiracy. Was his goal all along to get Newman? But how he could foresee everything that happened?
I think you know the answer this is why the show is hurting , in the good old days you wrote a story and you planned how it was going you usually know the ending! Now today they just throw stuff at a wall and see if it sticks
Momo
Not one other person, including his wife, which was totally suspicious or Nate was with him at his supposed treatments.
I loved this character and am really going to be sad if it turns out as everyone is predicting
I don’t think that person playing Victoria’s husband is very good at least in this role he took over when you got rid of Richard
Lea
He’s not God or a magician you know. I know that he did the very best he could with what he was given on such short notice.
Oh yes. Ashland is a liar and a thief
Wouldn’t you think after the months of Peter August, we’d see something, anything about what’s been happening?
Well, I think taking a more active role in Newman will certainly be detrimental to his health, depending on who takes him down. You know what they say about a woman’s wrath. Be afraid Ashland, be very afraid.
Violet…Yes I would be more afraid of Victoria and than Victor, Billy, or Adam.
Violet, my friend, I agree but I also fear that Princess Vic will fall back on her usual tirade of blaming someone else. In this case, it might be Adam, Victor, Nick, Billy, Sally, or any combination of the above. It’s doubtful she’ll show any personal remorse or guilt, it’s just not how the Newmans are wired.
Sosphound
I think it depends on how deeply hurt and betrayed she’ll feel after finding out the truth, and that depends on how much she really loved him. I always felt that Billy was the love of her life, but there was something different this time. Sorry, but I loved this guy too and I feel bad that they are turning him into a bad guy, someone that Daddy can throw in her face after he tells her “he didn’t deserve you”
Okay VIOLET, let’s dish about Billy’s podcast. Have you ever seen a bigger waste of time in the history of soaps? I tried to laugh and couldn’t; the whole enterprise reeks of self indulgence, bad writing, and over the top acting. I don’t know if I’ll be able to stomach another one.
Soaphound
OMG, I was yelling at my TV and FF as fast as it would let me. This has got to be their stupidest idea yet, and waste of air space. We already know where the writer’s thumbs are all day but are their brains indisposed also. I want to hear from one person that thinks this SL is interesting, please!
There are many problems at Y&R but since this is about Victoria and Ashland, I think the problem lies in the casting of either Ashland. Both are talented. BUT, neither one had chemistry with Victoria. Ashland would have been better paired up with Ashley. As for the rest of the show, keeping my promise, mostly, I cannot wait to hear Billy’s next podcast! Oh, the drama!
Timmm
While I do love Robt. Newman, I think Burgi had more romantic chemistry with Victoria. I do think he’s a worthy opponent for Victor though. Today watching Victoria spar with Adam, I thought they might have made a good couple, gave off a lot of sparks, too bad they are brother and sister.
Again, I said from the onset that Ashland faked his illness—not because I’m so intuitive or smart–but because the writers made it too easy–too obviously naked writing—Victoria “fell” for this guy without a hitch—-Baby Harrison was a convenience at the time, I guess.
Therefore, is it possible for Tara and Ashland to have been working in tandem? The scope, a concerted effort to overtake the Newman’s business holdings? If Ashland and Tara orchestrated this plan, then it is also possible that he and she are still in communication.
Is it also possible for Harrison’s paternity-DNA-test to have been manipulated/altered?
Such Middle School drama!!! Victoria is no ingenue–She’s been married a few times—has had a few affairs—has dealt with snakes in the grass before—she comes from reptilian-like-brain-thinkers. So, what’s up, Victoria? Are you regressing? Where’s your sharp astuteness?
Don’t be so dumb. Yet, the writers are making you look just that—stupid, with the mind of a teen in her first throes of infatuation.

‘General Hospital’ Fall 2026 Preview: Unexpected Arrivals and Romance; Sonny and Drew at War, What Happened to Jack?

General Hospital’s co-head writers, Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte have given the ABC daytime drama’s fall preview of what to look for in the months ahead in Port Charles.
According to the scribes, as told to TV Insider, “Unexpected arrivals, unexpected romance and unexpected connections,” are the order of the season, plus, “secrets are going to be exposed that will upend lives for better and worse — and new secrets will need to be kept.”
In the relationship department, don’t expect everything to go the way you may think! Let’s take a look at some of the highlights that point to some major moments in the near future on GH.

Photo: ABC
ROMEO AND JULIET
“The conflict between Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) will continue to build with potentially fatal consequences,” shared the head writers as Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) and Rocco’s (Finn Carr) relationship gets more solid, the more it will be tried to be pulled apart, especially by Drew. This is what they are calling their “Romeo and Juliet” young love story.
BURYING JACK BRENNAN
Nina (Cynthia Watros) will be in the hot seat, thanks to evidence planted by Drew and Carly (Laura Wright) overhearing her threatening the MIA Jack. According to the GH head writers, “Nina may face a dark future — but perhaps not as dark a future as those who seek her downfall.” Meanwhile Ava (Maura West) and Drew’s unholy alliance will have “repercussions for years to come.” Let’s not forget they buried Jack’s body.
JASON AND BRITT MAY NOT LAST
Those who wanted Jason (Steve Burton) and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) romance to come to an end, may get their wish! As the head scribes shared, “Decisions Britt made to stay alive while under (Ross) Cullum’s thumb will come back to haunt her and may prove too difficult for this unlikely couple to survive.”

Photo: ABC
ANNA’S BREAKING POINT AND CAN VALENTIN STAY AWAY ?
As for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), who Jason is trying to save and who has lost her way (thanks to visions of Peter August) and being gaslighted by Cullum and company, it will, “lead to her breaking point and may lead another person to an early grave.” On that note, Carly and Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) relationship is tested after his attempt to buy back Spoon Island. Only problem is someone else got their first, and it may be hard for Valentin to deny his feelings for Anna aren’t greater than he thinks.

Photo: ABC
BROOK LYNN’S LIFE AS SHE KNOWS IT BLOWS UP IN HER FACE
The writers added, “Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) face a turning point. Her secret may finally unravel their marriage; worse, it may leave the family vulnerable when someone comes calling with a claim on Phoebe.” Will Chase now hop between the sheets with his ex Willow? And, will Hudson (Troy Lennon Appel) stake his claim to be the father of the little Phoebe? How can Brook Lynn’s life as she knows it survive this?
TRINA’S STALKER … WHO IS IT?
Does Trina (Tabyana Ali) have a stalker … or a true number one genuine fan? Whatever the case, something ominous is going to happen to Kai (Jen Austin Astrup), when the GH writers shared, “Kai is true blue and will step up to defend Trina— but his closeness to Trina may prove detrimental to his health.” In addition, the stalker situation pairs up Emma (Braedyn Bruner) and Trina to try get to the bottom of who is behind it, but in doing so, may have put a target on Emma’s back.

Photo: ABC
‘BLOODY’ SITUATION WHERE JOSSLYN IS CONCERNED
Josslyn Eden McCoy) gets new orders from the WSB after Brennan goes missing, and things may get “bloody” report the writers. They add, “Joss has her sights set on Sonny — but she’s a target, too. JJE is a big prize, and she isn’t the only one entitled to it.” Who else could be?

Photo: ABC
PAST ROMANCE FOR ALEXIS COMES BACK AROUND
Could Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Ric (Rick Hearst) find themselves in each other’s arms? According to the GH head writers, “A past romance will rear its head in a surprising way,” for Alexis. Who else could it be if not Ric, who may feel jilted by Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) if she and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) get any closer? Might it be the return of Jerry Jacks?
MICHAEL AND JORDAN BECOME CLOSE
Michael (Rory Gibson) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) will develop a “special bond” while working together at Aurora and while Curtis (Donnell Turner) is away in prison. However, “a face from Jordan’s past will complicate her future. We’ll start to learn more about the woman Jordan was before she ever joined the DEA and came to Port Charles.” Is this William Baines (Alimi Ballard) or someone else yet to arrive? Stay tuned.
