THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS: Who Shot Adam?
Things have gotten off to a rocky start for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) upon his return to Genoa City! Within a week’s time he has been shot at point blank rage! But whodunit?
It all went down at the end of Friday’s episode of the The Young and the Restless, when after getting into an argument with Victor (Eric Braeden) and learning that Nick (Joshua Morrow) hates him and is raising his son, Christian, and that Billy (Jason Thompson) hates him because he ran down his daughter, Delia, it’s too much for this amnesiac version of Adam to take.
Victor even reveals he is trying to locate Chelsea for him. But ultimately, at the tackhouse Adam shows Victor to the front door and notifies him he is going back to Vegas.

Courtesy/CBS
Victor comments, “You’re going to regret this!” And outside the door, Victor is deep in thought. Later, as Adam’s bags are packed for his departure from Genoa City, there is a knock at the door. When he opens it, he is shot in the stomach.
Earlier in the episode, Nick has been contacted by Chelsea who has been trying to contact him via multiple text messages. But is it her?
As previewed on the latest promo for Y&R and upcoming teasers from SOD, Adam is wheeled into surgery, his brother and sister, Sharon (Sharon Case), and Victor, all worry about what will be the outcome, and when Adam comes out of his operation, he remembers Victor! Looks like his memory has returned, or has it?

Photo: JPI Studios
But the bigger question is: Who do you think shot Adam? Could it be Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan is returning to the show next month) ? Chloe? (There has been speculation that Elizabeth Hendrickson is returning to her role, especially from a recent photo she posted around Emmy time – see below -with her longtime Y&R co-star Greg Rikaart (Kevin), who is also back on the show) Or, could the shooter be shockingly Nick or Billy, or could it be just a gambler or a racketeer that Adam owes money to from his time in Vegas, and the gun shot was just to facilitate Adam regaining his memory, or could Adam have organized his own shooting?
Place your bets on who will be revealed to be Adam’s shooter by posting your theories via the comment section below.

My money is on Chloe. With Kevin coming back, Chloe doesn’t have much to lose (and we haven’t seen much of Elizabeth Hendrickson on GH lately). Kevin could end up raising Bella on his own. Billy would never shoot Adam knowing that he has a life with Victoria and his kids, Johnny and Katie. Nick has a lot to lose too, namely Christian and Faith along with his adult daughter, Summer. It’s too early for Chelsea to come back as MCE won’t be back on screen until late June. Victoria wouldn’t do it either. Yes, she and Adam have had a contentious relationship, it was no where near as volatile as Adam’s relationship with Victor and Nick.
Even though I am liking GH right now, Elizabeth Hendrickson is being wasted. I can see her coming back to Y&R. If so, my money is on her or Kevin.
I was thinking Chloe, as well, Michael……isn’t Kevin making an appearance? Perhaps, he knew what Chloe was up to and followed her?
Another possibility is the person who helped Adam escape the fire? He could not have managed to come out of that inferno unscathed/alive without help, I would think.
I don’t know if Nick has the heart to shoot in cold blood!! How about Tessa? Ian Ward? Zack is not really dead?
It’s probably that miniature maniac Chloe again……yawn and zzzzzzzz. I am bored with the story line–re living and replaying the Delia revenge story for the third time is boring to me.
Hi Harry ..
ahh ha! yes the Delia Revenge will only accomplish Nick being a pouty man child being done wrong..
Nick is such a sniveler haa what a weenie he is..
So, not looking forward to watching that but looking forward to Adam taking someone down because I need some action !!
(and I luvs the bad boy!)
I keep waiting for a rewrite where they find out it wasn’t Adam who ran her over.
Hi Harry
I can’t stand that “mini maniac” either. She’s even worse on GH, with her dumb support of Shiloh.
Yeah, Harry….right? Let the girl “rest” in peace.
If anything, I wish someone would shoot Cane and get him out of his misery!!
If Chloe it has been done- it would have been her third attempt. If Vegas people, who cares, never saw them on screen. It would never be Billy, Nick or Victor. If he is old style Adam and had himself shot that is possible.
Other suspects not mentioned. The son of the terminal man Adam hired to be his body in the explosion at the GCAC or Patty Williams, who he duped into confessing murdering said same man. This shooting would revisited that part of Adam’s history to get newer viewers caught up
Personally I am hoping this guy will eventually be exposed as an impostor or maybe another one of Victor’s unknown sons seeking revenge- he wouldn’t be the real Adam, but he will fill the Adam like void of the wronged son seeking his rightful place in the Newman clan.
Ok-
I’ve changed my thoughts about the new Adam/Mark Grossman.
The man is a talented actor and has made his presence known as Adam.
He is not MM, but then, no one is, but Mark is doing very well.
He still looks too young for Sharon but his demeanor is overplaying that fact.
So yah- I’m liking this guy 🙂
I’m looking forward to the mini-wars that are to come.
And I’m luvin’ that Victor is back in action !
I need more time, SusieQ…..Can’t put my finger on this thing that bugs me about nuAdam. He is not the truculent meanie I expected.
I guess he will grow into Adam’s pants. We shall see. He strikes me more as the recalcitrant Newman brat, than the methodical sycophant.
The killer will be connected to Vegas in the end but show will use the story to bring Chelsea back, Kevin and Chloe, etc.
Next to return is, I hope and pray, Gloria. Fresh off winning the lottery and millions of bucks. She will buy into Jabot and instead of getting she will be giving orders.
it is probably chloe but who cares this story is a snorefest isn’t everyone bored of how victor treats nick and goes on about adam this new writing regime is making yandr a 12 minute soap sans commercials and a fast forward on the remote
Richard
I can’t tell you how sick I am of Victor fawning all over this son, who has been nothing but trouble for him and the whole family and so many others, from the minute he appeared in G.C all grown up. Sharon, blabbing on about what he had done for her, never mentioning what he’d done TO her, stealing her newborn baby and giving her to Ashley to make up for causing her to lose her own. I am not going to bore you or anyone else with the terrible things he’s done to so many people. The fans know and have forgotten, or don’t care, but it just bugs the hell out of me, when people have the nerve to put Nick down, who has been good to his family, but for the fact that he wont march behind daddy as his little robot. Victor makes me sick just listening to him go on and on about family, and expecting everyone to kiss his ass and give Adam respect and adoration. Newer watchers can look up Adam’s history, if they like and read about the real Adam.
Sorry, Richard that you had to get the brunt of my tirade, but you seemed to be in agreement with my feelings.
i do agree with you
Chloe!
Adam has that duffel bag full of money. Its somebody from Vegas on his trail that he screwed over. Who freakin cares!
I could care less who shot Adam, actor is fine, but do not like the character, unless they change him completely, which I don’t see happening. What would be the point? So saying all that, my vote is that he had himself shot, because any one else mentioned, would have killed him, maybe aiming for his head or heart, not the gut. Also Vegas people would have looked for and taken the money sitting in plain sight. The shooter never entered the house.
Chloe
Esther dressed as Batman!
Chloe
What a little worm Adam is and always has been. He falsified DNA to give Christian to Nick, and now he wants him back. No surprise there. I hope everyone who wanted this jerk back is happy.
Hey, Miss Violet,
I’ve always maintained that Christian is really Nick’s……after all the back and forth “switcheroos”, the “woe is me”-s; the less-than-honest actions by Victor ( whose nose and hand have to be in everyone’s life) and Adam’s ( like father–like son) vulpine personality, I have the temerity to say and believe something is afoot…..That is, Victor is at the bottom of it all and he will be found out.
The problem is, Violet, the PTB steadfastly lead us in one direction, expecting them to make a right turn; then do a number on us, and make a left . Who’s to say Christian isn’t Victor’s? HaHa..
Hey Celia,
If this were real life and not reel, I would just say, from your mouth to God’s ear, but I sure hope you are right.
On a couple of other previous comments made by you, Harry and myself about Eliz.Hendrickson. I have been wondering about all the pledges Shiloh has been collecting on GH, including Margaux’s. My big question is, isn’t having sex with his victim one of his requirements? Have we ever seen a tattoo on her? He would probably need bricks to hold her down.Yuk! Sorry, just being silly. What about the men? I wonder if Brad would consider it a privilege to do what ever was asked of him? This SL is getting sicker, if that’s even possible. We know at the end, there will be numerous suspects, because by then, everyone will hate this guy.
Uuuuuu!! Love the play-on-words, Miss Vi—real, reel. Nice!!
You know, I love ‘silly’…..I love the ‘ridiculous….I see “funny” in anything, if the mood strikes me. However, while I do enjoy quirky personalities, weird thinking, and belly laughs; I am not entertained by less than interesting writing. This is forced.
These victims’ intelligence is above the norm—-their experiences in life, as mature adults, are vast; thus, it’s baffling for them to fall prey to such manipulation. Kristina is exempt—she’s young, I guess, and gullible. Considering her disillusionment in love, lack of closeness to her mother, a criminal for a father, a scholastic failure—I can see how she would succumb to such a toxic speechifier and slime-ball. He offered her an escape from that which brought her unhappiness, leaving her wanting. He offered her manna from the gods–it was heaven!!
Margaux is an idiot–the name(?) speaks for itself. Were her parents French? What the hey!! The most complicated name–the French language ( which I speak fluently) has not evolved—-it’s still living in the Middle Ages. The word for “eighty” is “four twenties”–” quatre vingts”—“Seventy” is “sixty and ten”–“Soixante-dix”. They can’t come up with one word for said numbers? Hmmmm and sigh!!
The most stupid Western European language.
My point? Why choose a retarded language–it’s pronounced Margo–so, why not write Margo. Life is so complicated!! LOL.
Shiloh is not even so sexy as to have women ( especially those with a head on their shoulders) fall all over themselves to have his attention or filthy hands on them. Are you chomping at the bit to have him, Violet? LOL.
we don’t know if Shiloh has been with men to gain their trust and “donations”…
Remember what Adam Newman did? He lured the housekeeper’s nephew ( loved Rafe–good guy) to bed in order to throw him off any findings of his deceit.
So, yeah, Shiloh would definitely use his wiles on Brad if it benefited him.
Perhaps she was named as an homage to that hot mess of a ‘70’s supermodel for a moment, Margaux Hemingway? Just a thought, CeeCeeGirl! Anyway, it’s been quite awhile…wanted to take the opportunity to say hello and wish you a “Happy Vineyard Summer”…It is that time again, isn’t it, mia amica?
Well, hiyah, Shaybelle!!!!!! Long time—-yeah…Hemingway and his two granddaughters! I heard of both, but did not know Margaux was a model—could not have been well-known as Tiegs, Jerry Hall, Beverly Johnson etc.
We are having a family reunion this summer on MV in August—very exciting—-family coming from Holland, Scotland, Australia, Canada, S. Africa, Norway and Lord knows where else!!
Can’t wait to meet all the new “additions”—
So happy to hear from you, cara.❤️
Au contraire, CeeCeeGirl! Margaux was an uber-famous femme of the ‘70’s, and not just because of her last name and legendary grandfather…she was the first model to land a million-dollar contract when she was signed as the face of Faberge’s “Babe” fragrance and later, cosmetics line! It was omnipresent in the mid-to-late part of the decade and even though I was too young to be a prospective consumer, I remember all the splashy magazine ads promoting the products! Hemingway had that very “glamazon” look…bold beauty and statuesque, athletic build….she really did photograph amazingly with her unique features. She was on all the major magazine covers, when that sort of thing really counted for a model’s popularity. The reason she did not remain in the public eye as enduringly as the equally stunning Jerry Hall and some of her other counterparts, is because she sought to bank upon her modeling success by entering the film world, and her first project was the very controversial “Lipstick,” in which she played a covergirl who was raped by a psycho stalker…Mariel was also in the flick as her little sis. The movie was panned and criticized for its graphic violence, and even though it is now a sort of cult-classic, it really did nothing to further Hemingway’s acting career. (The fact Margaux also had a really strange voice did her no favors either…) She also suffered drinking, drug and mental problems which saw her fade from the public spotlight for a time and her subsequent comeback attempts went nowhere. Sadly, she committed suicide years ago….but whilst her star shone, it was very brightly…albeit far too briefly. Look her up….even now her modeling photos are quite arresting. Having said that, your upcoming family reunion sounds like a major undertaking! How exciting! Hope MV will be relatively peaceful and private during your celebration….not overrun by those who notably like to close down the island! LOL….Anyway, always good to hear from you, too, mia amica! Later!
‘Morning, Shay,
Agreed—Margaux was stunning—I was sort of taken aback; she had my nose, LOL.
How tragically was this family ( collectively) cursed? So sad!!
There is a third (middle) sister, Joan, I had no idea existed. She is as bitten by the ‘curse’ as the rest. Sigh.
Yes, ma belle, my family and then some, has been having these reunions for decades—every five years. The last one was in Australia…..of course, I did not go due to the fact that I had just given birth—and had a hard time of it!!
As I said; I will be meeting the “new” generation ( of kids)—-looking forward to it…….
Again, my love…..keep posting. I’ve missed you…
Miss Violet and I have struck a friendship!!!! Who knew we were neighbors at one point ( Southampton and CT, close to my Alma Mater). Amazing!! She is so much fun!!
I would love to ‘hear’ your input on the “loves and lives” of the PC residents.
All I can say is that I cannot take much more of Shiloh and “Sleuthy-Sam”— what a mess!! This is such a “farout” situation, even for a soap….Sonny is a lethal criminal—-Julian doesn’t smell like a flower either…..and Valentin is ruthless. So, what the hey is wrong with these writers to embed a creepy-crawler, such as Shiloh, within the PC woodwork? I will never believe that Shiloh is so much of a fearless intrepid to ignore the fierce “powers” surrounding him—-he targets the daughter of a “malavitoso” such as Sonny? Riiiiiight!!❤️
Celia
I guess I missed your last sentence of comment, but I would like to think that Sage had more class than to sleep with the likes of Victor. That brings up another question. I do not remember if he had his vasectomy reversed that Diane got him to get, years ago. I remember how angry Nicki was when she found out.
LOL, my love….I was being facetious. Sage did not sleep with Victor–surprising, since, since I doubt, there’s a woman left in GC with whom he hasn’t “messed”–yuck!!
Celia,
So enjoyed your last two comments. They are always so enlightening and interesting. I took French for only one semester, so what I know is next to nothing. I think I can count to twenty, say the months and days of the week and a few phrases.I guess we share the same sense of humour, in that I also find so many things funny. My daughter shared this craziness with me, but skipped the rest of the family, and I feel it’s their loss. Iam also a big fan of the double entendre, which I have to contain, as it isn’t becoming an old lady.
Oh, you said in your last little comment that you doubted there were any women left in GC with whom Victor hasn’t messed. Not sure if that was a typo, and could you have meant missed?
Hey, Miss Violet,
It’s encouraging knowing someone else with an “off” sense of humor. LOL. Where is it written that there’s an age limit to a fantastic sense of humor? Warped or otherwise? No way, my friend. You are as physically and mentally young as you feel.
I would have never guessed. You are ageless to me. Does not matter–we communicate well!!
No, it’s not a typo……I meant “messed”, in quotes. Victor has messed with 99% of GC’s female population….even the prison medic. HaHa.
I try to keep up with good grammar…..my austere English teacher’s admonition still deafen me—I can hear her; “Never, ever end a sentence with a preposition.”….so, I wrote ‘with whom…..’
I wish I could meet you❤️
Celial
Hey there. Boy, when I have to explain my little joke, that shows me I am losing it, right?. In this case, you said there wasn’t a woman in GC he hadn’t messed, so I was trying to be funny saying, did you mean a woman he hadn’t missed?
I would also like to meet you Celia. You are such a bright, articulate, educated, funny woman. wife and mother too, I’m sure. Who says you can’t have it all, huh? I often wonder how women such as yourself, ever had/have time to watch the soaps. Back in the day, as a stay at home mother, with an unhappy marriage, it was a way to lose myself in other people’s happiness or misery. It worked, but I was hooked for life, and am so grateful not only for what the soaps have given me, but also the pleasure of “meeting” people like you.
I better cool it here, Michael will be charging me for space. Talk to you soon.
No, Violet, you’re not losing it….I simply ‘missed’ ( HaHa) your joke. My bad.
And, I thank you for your praise–yet,, I’m human—imperfect!! None of us is pristine and “perfect”, LOL.
As far as finding the time to watch my three soaps—rarely do I watch when they are broadcast. I indulge at night—-
Believe it or not, I can’t remember a time when I didn’t watch —-my grandmother had me hooked since forever. Hard to let go, right?
Speak soon, my friend.❤️
@CeeCee….Reading Violet’s and your vivid descriptions of Victor Newman’s propensity for collecting female conquests strikes me as being very similar to Port Charles’ own resident “Don Juan,” Sonny Corinthos! Guess all soaps have to have one, eh? Hah!

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: Has Dylan’s Mystery Caller/Stalker Been Revealed to Be an Alive Luna Nozawa?
We have another scream machine on her hands at The Bold and the Beautiful after the dramatic ending of the May 1 episode, and that would be Dylan (Sydney Bullock)!
B&B is finally making some headway on just who was the person behind the mystery call that Dylan received telling her they have some “unfinished business.” At the time of the mysterious call, it was clear that the voice was altered to disguise the true identify of the person on the the other line.
On today’s show, after Dylan and Electra (Laneya Grace) exchange words in the wardrobe room about Dylan wanting to rebuild their trust and friendship and how Electra has issues stemming from way back trusting anyone after what Remy (Christian Weissmanm) did to her by befriending her and then plastering deep fake nude photos of her across social media.

Photo: JPI
The timing of Electra bringing up Remy is also interesting to us, as we had previously reported now that Christian Weissmann is back and on on contract with The Bold and the Beautiful, he’s already teased that Remy has another connection to someone on the canvas, which many are still believing its Dylan.
At the end of the episode, after Electra leaves the room, Dylan hears noises coming from behind the dress rack. She asks, “Jamie” is that with you? After no answer and a bit more hangar and dress ruffling, a figure steps out behind it, while Dylan is looking down at her tablet trying to get back to work.
When Dylan looks up, she lets out a scream that could be heard to Nebraska, as viewers see partial view of what looks to be a woman with long dark hair from the back. Dylan in shock, says, “It’s you!” We fade to black.
So, what’s going on here? Is the reason the caller said to her that we have “unfinished business” because on Monday, it will be revealed to actually be an alive and well, Luna (Lisa Yamada)? Did the two strikes some sort of deal, that allowed Dylan to help Luna escape after Luna supposedly died after Dylan ran her down with her car, which was all off-screen? Another theory, is the mystery caller is Remy and he is doing some sort of Luna fakeout on Dylan for a yet to be revealed reason.
What do you think is going on? Did Lisa Yamada just make an on-screen return to The Bold and the Beautiful? Share your thoughts and theories below, but first check out our recent interview from back in March on the Michael Fairman Channel when Lisa who attended the BBTV app launch party.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS: Nick Confesses His Drug Problem to Victor; Joshua Morrow, Mark Grossman, Eric Braeden Bring the Newman Bond
When The Young and the Restless can deliver an emotional side to their stories and their family dynamics, it usually makes for some great scenes delivered by their A-list cast.
Such was the case on the Friday, May 1 episode when Adam (Mark Grossman) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) returned to Genoa City and gave their father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), an update on what had gone down with Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) in Las Vegas.
As Victor questioned, “What the hell happened?” Nick piped up, “We both made mistakes along the way, but we’re here now and we’re sorry for giving you so much worry on top of everything else that you’re dealing with,” which was in reference to Victor trying to reclaim his company Newman Enterprises et al.

Courtesy/CBS
NICK’S CONFESSION
Next, Nick, explains one of the ways he messed up while trying to go after Matt Clark, when he admitted to this father with tears in his eyes, “That’s one of the ways I messed up … I took Fentanyl willingly. Some of it was because of Matt, but most of it was on me. I was in a lot of pain, dad, after my accident, I was burning through my prescription meds really quickly after I left the hospital. I could see that it was becoming a problem. But honestly, I thought that I could manage it. I was wrong. I was out in LA and Matt had taken Noah (Lucas Adams) and Sienna (Tamara Braun) and he gave me this bag of pills and said I could use it to trade for information. When I went out to that drug warehouse, he was trying to convince me and Sharon (Sharon Case) that Noah was a drug addict. I just put the pills in my pocket of my jacket and I came back to Genoa City and I was in a lot of pain, dad, and I was wearing that jacket. I put my hands in the pocket and the pills were there.”
Nick sadly added, “I was desperate. I couldn’t get anymore prescription meds, so I took the fentanyl I’m deeply ashamed that I was so weak, but all I can do is stand here and tell you the truth that I’m going to make this right and I’ll get better.”
BROTHER TO BROTHER
Adam stood up for his brother and reconfirmed to Victor the plan for help Nick through his pill addiction, “Nick is already on his way to doing that. Sharon has set up an appointment with an outpatient facility. He’s going to do the meetings and he’s going to push through this better than ever.”

Courtesy/CBS
“You should also know that the only reason I’m standing here is because of Adam,” Nick confessed to Victor. “Every time I fell, you were there to pick me up. You risked your life to save me, and that’s not something I will ever forget.”
In the climatic and emotional ending of the scene, Nick in tears admits his shame to his dad, who comes in to give him hug. Nick says, “I’m so sorry. I know that this is the last thing you or this family needs.”
All three actors, Joshua Morrow, Mark Grossman and Eric Braeden, were excellent in this exchange in their scenes, but at its epicenter continues to be the Emmy-worthy performances by Y&R MVP, Joshua Morrow. Nick’s heartbreaking journey and fall from grace with his pill addiction problem has finally shown the clinks in the armor of the man who is always on the ready to help others … now he needs to let others help him through this. Can we do it?
So, what did you think of the scenes between the Newman man featuring Joshua, Mark and Eric on the Friday episode of Y&R? And though who watched also know that at the very end, Matt Clark who clearly has been injured wakes up from being conked out, so there is more revenge to come on the Newman clan. Share your thoughts below, but take a look at these scenes from a Canadian viewers who saw them air yesterday.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Sophia Seemingly Plans to End Her Life, But Not Before Setting Fire to Johnny’s Apartment With Him Trapped Inside
The final few moments of the Thursday, April 30 episode of Days of our Lives, will pave the way, to what just may be the end of Sophia Choi’s (Rachel Boyd) life, but not as you may think!
After an unhinged Sophia paid a visit to Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), maced him in the eyes, knocked him out and then tied up to a chair, now conscious, she lets him know that she holds him responsible for all the trouble and trauma she has gone through from adopting her child, and her being sent to a mental institution.
So instead of the unregistered gun Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) gave her to finish off Johnny, Sophia sets up a plan to light candle, use nail polish remover and turn on the gas on the stove to ultimately create a mass explosion, which although Johnny pleaded to her not to that to all the innocent people inside his apartment building, she doesn’t seem to care.

Photo: JPI
FIERY FACE OFF
The plan was supposed to be, after she takes care of Johnny she will toss the gun in the Salem River, then focus on payback to Holly Jonas before leaving town to start a new life.
Now, Sophia makes her exit, leaving Johnny to be a few moments away from an explosion or gas inhalation, when Chanel (Raven Bowens) comes home after awaiting the results of her mammogram. She sees Johnny tied up, as he panics and tells her to put out the flame on the candle, things go awry, and a fire has begun and everything may go up in flames with Johnny and Chanel inside.

Photo: JPI
A BROKEN SOPHIA
Back in her room, Sophia breaks down after reading the social media comments about her, she planted, and then starts writing a suicide or farewell note which says. “I’m tired of begging for forgiveness for my mistakes. All I wanted was to move forward, to be loved and understood. But it’s clear that I was never going to get that. Holly Jonas said that I was dead to her. So, as her former BFF, I’m going to make her dream a reality.”

Photo: JPI
A DEADLY TRAP
Now, the fate of Johnny, Chanel and Sophia will be revealed on tomorrow’s May 1st cliffhanger, which may be the end of Sophia when she crosses paths with Kirsten at the bridge near the river. We do know Rachel Boyd is no longer appearing in the show credits section and is now off contract with the soap.
So, what did you think of the climatic final moments of DAYS? What did you think of the performance of Rachel Boyd as Sophia Choi? Let us know via the comment section.
