THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS: Will Adam Crash Sharon and Rey’s Wedding? Do You Want Him To?

Photo: JPI

A New Years’s Eve wedding is being served up this week on The Young and the Restless as Sharon (Sharon Case) and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) get set to commit to each other; but will that really happen with Adam (Mark Grossman) looming and Sharon’s feelings for him?

The latest promo from CBS Daytime offers that Adam is lurking around, while Sharon and Rey begin their nuptials.  But according to Sharon Case in this week’s issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now, the evening does not go off without a hitch, sharing, “There is a wedding crasher and a lot happens.”

We know that Eva LaRue (Celeste) and Jason Canela (Arturo) are also returning for the big day, but is there anyone else that would upend the wedding, but Adam?

Making things all the more strange is that Nick (Joshua Morrow) is Rey’s best man.  Somehow and seemingly, Sharon and Nick, who have been up to now each other’s all-time star-crossed loves, are now so good with each other that they are the best of friends.

Case shared on the storypoint, “Yes, it’s kind of unusual that Nick would be the best man at Sharon’s wedding, but those two have come a long way since they’ve been divorced.”

Watch the promo below.  Then let us know: are you rooting for Sharon and Rey? Sharon and Adam … or should Sharon just be without a man for awhile to figure things out! Share your thoughts in the comment section.

They need to get rid of Adam already! At least this version of him!! I liked MM as Adam and he and Sharon were good together. I also like JH’s Adam, but couldn’t picture him with Sharon. Now, with MG’s Adam, it’s much worse! There is no way those two would have been together. Also, there is no way Sharon would have feelings for Adam, no matter who’s playing him, at this point in her life. She’s (supposedly) “grown up” and taken hold of her life, gotten a degree, has a business. She’s an adult, but the writers are making… Read more »

Y&R has fallen under 3 million viewers. I’d venture to say Mal Young left a lasting impression on Sony execs style wise. But it’s not working. Josh Griffith’s stories are failing to engage even longtime viewers of the show and that’s just not good. While its good to know the show is extended to 2024, it’s disheartening to see TPTB refusing to acknowledge the obvious….Griffith needs to be released from his contract ASAP. It’s the best solution going into the new year.

I really hopecSharon doesn’t marry Rey. If she dies it won’t last. She is still in lovecwith Adam.

Sharon and Rey are a horrible miss-matched couple..
They are stale blah an stagnate..
I hope something-someone will stop the wedding
but– it will not happen.
Y&R has become as exciting as toenail clipping
and that’s why I don’t see anything exciting happening LOL
Eventually- Sharon and Adam will be together, again.
We just have to wait for it- it will happen.
And- as a matter of fact all the Y&R couples are sleepers BLAH..
If it weren’t for Jason/Billy Y&R would be flushed.
Too bad/sad they hoked Billy up with Lily a total YAWN badly matched.
BWAHAA Billy & Lily .. sheeshhhh lol

Sharon and Adam belong together. Rey and Sharon are truly boring together and have no chemistry! I can’t wait until they separate! Couldn’t be soon enough for me! Sharon and Adam have hot chemistry JG should take advantage of this!

I’d like to see Dylan return, getting out of witness protection. Rey and Amanda might actually be a good romantic connection. It’s so hard with the covid restriction for the romance story lines, so let’s get some mysteries going!!!

Oh Su000, I’m afraid I agree. I can only assume Sharon wants a dull, uneventful, non-challenging life after all her recent trials. But oh, the doldrums! Rey is a sweet man but not for Sharon. The chemistry between Sharon and Mark is palpable and brings life back to the plot.

I may be in a minority, but while I don’t expect the wedding to go off without a hitch, I still want to see them get married. I like them together and I like Jordi. Rey is a good pairing for her IMO. As for Nick being Best Man, that is bizarre to me, even more so now that Artro is coming back for the wedding.

I hope you leave Sharon and Ray have a little happiness enough of this Adam nonsense. Billy is boring so is Lily storyline. Phyllis and Nicholas make me want to throw up. She’s evil and she’ll never be nice. I’ll always root for Nicholas and Sharon together forever but that can be in a much later storyline. Give Jack a love interest seems like he’s heading towards Sally. Days of Our Lives is the weirdest show in the world so many evil people I guess that’s why the ratings are so high since since evil is popular the last 4… Read more »

I do not know how these people are paired up but it’s not working. I like Billy and Lily but not together, absolutely boring as are Rey and Sharon, who act like brother and sister. Because they are a couple in real life, a lot of people want Sharon and Adam together in reel life. I sure would hate seeing Jack and Sally together but she will go to any lengths to get where she wants to be. Another redhead trouble maker. Nick and Phyllis are a disaster and where is the son he fought to keep from his father?… Read more »

I loooooooooooooooooove to see Sharon and Rey get married. Of all the men that Sharon had in her life (Nicholas, Adam, etc)., Rey is a breath of fresh air for Sharon. Adam should not have come to the wedding. For what? And why did Rey pick Nicholas as his best man? Imagine, your fiancee’s ex-husband is also your best man? That is just plain cray-cray. Billy and Lily—heck yeah. I want to see those two together. They have good chemistry and Lily needed someone to love. They need to find a man for Victoria….what about Travis Crawford?? He should’ve come… Read more »

GH’s Nancy Lee Grahn to be Featured in Alexis-Centric Episode to Mark Her Upcoming 25 Years on the ABC Daytime Drama

She is a two Daytime Emmy-winning actress, and one of the best that has ever graced the soap genre, and now General Hospital’s Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) will have an episode devoted to her, and her soap opera alter-ego, next week on the ABC daytime drama series.

The episode has been scheduled to air on Wednesday, April 7th.

Grahn will celebrate her 25th anniversary with GH in September, but as the imminent milestone draws near, and with Alexis in story getting ready to begin a three-year stint in Pentonville, it sets up plenty of drama for the former legal eagle of Port Charles; who has had an enduring battle with booze.

According to Nancy, who spoke with Soap Opera Digest in their latest issue on newsstands now, “I will say that she (Alexis) knows she can’t stop drinking unless she faces her life as it really is and not as she’s faked it thus far, and she is perhaps forcing a brutal bottom in order for her to rise again from the ashes.”

Viewers can look for Alexis to interact with many characters, plus a brand new character, and her on-screen daughters within the episode.

Grahn added to what fans will see, “I feel like this show is not so much about what Alexis discovers, but how that discovery and resolution will affect the heart of so many who watch it.  I feel that many will relate in a personal way.”

So, excited to see the Alexis-centric episode featuring Nancy? Comment below.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS: Nick and Sharon Band Together to Help Faith in Crisis Reminiscent of Cassie Tragedy

This week on Y&R, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) are brought back to the horrific tragedy of their beloved late daughter, Cassie, who died following complications from a car accident almost 15 years ago.

Now in 2021, their daughter Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) is at the epicenter of a catfishing charade and is cyper-bullied from other kids and classmates and goes MIA.

Faith, who previously has been turning to booze, then begins to drink out of a liquor bottle and has limited experience with getting behind the wheel of a car, a set-up for potential disaster.

Joshua Morrow, who spoke with Soap Opera Digest in their latest issue on newsstands now about the story teased, that Nick and Sharon try to track Faith down.  Morrow shared: “They’re the worst possible factors imaginable for your child to be in.  Nick and Sharon are desperate to find Faith, but they’ve been through this path before with Cassie. Will tragedy strike again?”

Check out this week’s promo from Y&R below.  In addition, below that ,check out the Michael Fairman Channel interview last summer when during Covid-19, the CBS Daytime drama series rebroadcast the episode of Cassie’s Death, and Michael spoke with Sharon Case, Joshua Morrow and Camryn Grimes (Ex-Cassie, now Mariah) about the emotional story.

Then, let us know what you think of this storypoint? Do you hope this brings Sharon and Nick closer again? Do you hope Faith will be alright? Share your thoughts in the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: What Does Franco Have Planned For Peter … The Ultimate Revenge?

This week on General Hospital, the story picks back up on the night of the double-wedding debacle for Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Peter (Wes Ramsey), and Anna (Finola Hughes) and Finn (Michael Easton).

Last week’s Friday cliffhanger saw Franco (Roger Howarth) taking a crowbar to Peter’s head and knocking him out after realizing the voice in his head was that of Peter’s.

Meanwhile, Maxie who is in the hospital trying to ensure the safety of her unborn baby with Peter, is getting an earful on how far his deception has gone, and from all the people she knows and trusts.  Now, Anna (Finola Hughes) comes to see her God-daughter in the latest promo from ABC.

But the twist that many may, or may not, have seen coming is that Franco has taken Peter and tied him up which looks eerily familiar from when Franco’s mind-mapping took place and he was turned into Drew.

With Franco’s growing brain tumor, what is he capable of doing to Peter? Will he exact the perfect revenge on the guy?

Watch the latest teaser below.

Now weigh-in: what do you think Franco will do next? Share your theories in the comment section.
