DNA doesn’t lying, but his EX does! That is the voice over for this week’s ABC promo for General Hospital! Although, sometimes, and most times on soaps, DNA samples have a way of not being correct!

So what is the case for GH’s Dr. Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson)?  Is he the baby daddy to Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) unborn baby?  What other tricks do Brad (Parry Shen) and Britt have up their sleeves, since they are  in cahoots? Is  Sabrina (Teresa Castillo) getting fed up and considering dumping Patrick, or will she stand by her man?

Sabrina’s bff Felix (Marc Anthony Samuel) wants to get to the bottom of the truth, and he exclaims,  “Is Britt’s baby Patrick’s Or Not?”  But who is he talking to?

Watch this week’s promo from GH after the jump! Then let us know, who do you think is the father of Britt’s baby? Are you fed up with the storyline and want it to end? Do you want the truth to be exposed already? Or, do you want it to continue and are hoping for more twists and turns along the way? Weigh-in!

OMG I CANT BELIEVE NO ONE HAS FIGURED THIS STORLINE OUT,,,,,,MAXIES LIES WILL COME OUT LEAVING LULU AND DANTE DEVASTATED AND HATEING MAXIE…UNTILL IT COMES OUT THAT BRITT USED ONE OF LULUS AND DANTES EGGS AND HER BABY IS ACTUALLY THERES ,,I SAW THIS THE MINUTE BRITT SAID SHE WAS PREGGERS

I thought that maybe it would be Dante’s baby..
But- RC is the master of twisting, turning, surprising so I do not think it will be that simple/Dante’s.
well, we will know soon..

Go get the Brtich, Felix, take her down!!!!!

I believe Britts baby is Lulu and Dante’s

I think you’re right. I think she took one of the eggs. Good detective work and I hope this storyline wraps up soon.

Maxie was trying to do a selfless for Dante & Lulu and to let Spinelli go be happy, she knew the baby would be a snag for all and she didnt want to dissappoint anyone; she loves them all. Where is her love, support and happy ending. Get your baby Maxie and be happy, screw them all. Britts baby will be hers and Dante’s watch complicating things for Lulu

I totally saw this the moment Brad acted weird and said he has NO ties to that baby. He KNOWS he’s not the father and it’s obvious. But how will it come out?

Nicholas will be the key to the unreavealing due ti Fasion and Britts mom…I am so ready for the end of this story bcus I am going to hate to see Maxie & Lulu do irreconcilable damage…

yawn

Yes…this!

Please end this storylines . I’m not happy abut this storyline. Patrick has Sabrina I enjoy seeing them together.

Getting really sick of this prissy busybody always doing the bidding for his pathetic pal “Nurse Santiago!” Both characters make me want to hurl and the nauseating, mega-contrived romance of Sabrina and Patrick is enough to make me root for Britt to prevail. Sooo….even though the odds are against this being the straightforward pregnancy that Dr. Westmore is presenting to the world, I would love to see Felix and his overbearing roommate proved wrong in their assertion that this baby’s father is not Drake Jr.!!!!! Anything that puts the end to the disastrous coupling of the babysitter and her doctor boss is fine with me!!!!!!

i kinda was hoping it was Dr. Drakes baby but I doubt it because you know how soaps can be. and Nurse Santiago is too Good too be true

Meant Dr. Westborne….my bad! Anyway, have really been enjoying Britt, particularly when she goes off the “pc” reservation…the girl is a hoot!!!! Must get it from her mama. Wonder if she can dance as well as Dr. O.???? LOL. Whatever…just hope the two of them get together to eliminate SABRINA. Cannot stand her…she totally ruins the show, and I cannot understand the ptb’s devotion to this bland and sorry character. She really does spoil every scene in which she is featured, not to mention Patrick’s status as a cool dude…he seems so henpecked now with that that pathetic albatross hanging on to him for dear life!!!!!

Promos make most things much more exciting than they really are! I am getting ready for this storyline to move forward.

Really need to end it and the baby’s not Patrick’s baby either. It’s going to be Lulu”s and Dante’s. Maxie’s baby is theirs too.

Maxies babies is her own but I feel sorry for the 2 that she lying too she needs to start being honest because soon evertone going to be all mad. I can’t wait to all these babies are born and when the truth comes out, LOOK Out!!

I agree that I thought from day one that it was one of the eggs from Lulu and Dante. Aside from that I have never liked the Britt character or thought there was any chance of redemption (aside from a brain tumor, of course) , but I find that I am really liking the Britt – Nicholas pairing. I see a Britt’N in the future.

I agree with that pairing, maybe shes not all bad, we can only hope and look at her parents too.

Yawn, zzzzzz. Wake me up when this show actually has something fresh. I’m not holding my breath, sadly. Yes, Ron Carlivati did some good work for a while, but the arrow on his writing creativity fuel gauge is clearly pointing at EMPTY. What will it take for ABC to realize that?

This is getting so boring, let it be Dante and Lulu’s and the truth come out so that Maxie can keep her and Spinnelli’s child. For once, give the fans what they want.

Yes what u said Carol

I don’t know who the father or mother is for that matter. Dr O is behind this. She could have used Robins eggs and who knows what. This is a soap written by a guy who thinks he knows it all. I think Britt needs to get rid of the baby, and go on with Nick. Britt can be a mean girl but I don’t mind her with Nick, if and its a big IF she doesn’t know Robins alive. If she has a hand in that I am over this story. Robin is Nicks friend and she was the one responsible for him getting Spenser
back. Nick owes Robin and her family. Most viewers are really sick of the who’s the daddy storylines. I am. Maxie needs to come clean and we need to keep Ellie.I like Ellie.

Britt, carrying Lulu and Dantes child, and Maxi, carrying hers and Spinnelis baby, will go into labor on the same day. Maxi will want to keep the baby and will finally come clean, admitting she had Spinnelis baby. However, Lulu and Dante will demand d.n.a. testing and itll reveal the baby Maxi gave birth to is actually theirs. This is because Britt had Brad switch the babies, and now Britt is passing off Maxis and Spinns baby as hers and Patricks. Maxi is confused but believes she did have Lulu and Dantes baby after all. Meanwhile, Olivia has puzzling visions of Dante with Maxi, and Britt with Spinneli which is hint of the baby switch. Just a guess…lol.

Maybe Britt will get Sharon or Adam Newman to switch the babies since they are so darn good at it. LOL—Y&R fans know what I am talking about– As for your guess that is one too many baby switches for me– my poor head would be spinning. Kinda of hoping Maxi will find out she is having twins – ones her and Spinnelli– the other Lulu and Dante’s– oh wait that would be a Days of our Lives story— I’m so confused. Doesn’t anybody just have a regular baby on soaps any more?

lol…now having a regular baby on a soap would be a suprising twist.

i dont know I think thats too easy for it just being Dante and Lulus that Britt is carrying, but you never know, Do You?

I just hope the truth comes out soon. People lose interest when the storyline is only flashed on the screen every week or so.

Like most people I’m assuming the baby was created in the lab using one of Lulu’s embryos. I hope this is the case. I don’t want it to be Patrick’s. I’m sure Dr. O had her hand in it and we’ll probably be seeing her again soon.

I also hope the truth about Maxie’s baby comes out soon too. At least we’d get to see her on the screen for a little while that way. She always nails her scenes but they’re too limited and there’s too much time in between .

Go get her Felix!

The story is just picking up steam..
If in fact it is Dante’s seed, then Brit committed a crime and could a lot of time..
And her ”family” would not allow that lol

Also, the baby would have to legally go to the father, Dante.. would Lulu be ok with a Dante, Britt off spring..

There is more to come and I’m waiting for it 🙂

I figure Britt’s bump belongs to Dante & Lulu, and Maxie’s is her own with the Spin.

so in the end Britt with end up with nothing and no one.

well… maybe Nik after the whole thing blows up in her face and he knows the truth…

and if Helena is alive, I’m sure she’ll enjoy torturing Britt for being with Nik

if Helena and Britt’s momma aren’t working together, they sure would make a great pair of enemies to watch.

I love this storyline. I especially love the actors that play Britt and Felix. It looks like there is some chemistry between Britt and Nicholas. (I hope they bring back the actress that played Britt’s mom- loved those over-the-top scenes.)

I think someone forced Ellie to lie. Blackmailed her, threatened her, knows something about her, etc. Ellie has virtually no backstory. I like her, and I hope not…but she could be a master manipulator/psycho…pulling all the strings and wreaking havoc from her position in the lab. It is nice that she is such a blank slate…because she could BE anyone, be related to anyone, have an axe to grind with anyone, etc.

I have always believed Ellie is the missing Q heir ..

((turned out Loren/Kiki is not the missing heir, if there really is one..

i like your thinking jem.had never thought about that. i was thinking that the baby if there is one was gonna actually be patricks and robins because of her being hiv.

I think the baby is really robins and Patrick’s. an old egg laying around in Robin old office at the hospital.

Robin is no longer with GH.,
It will be an active cast member that they can create a story for the future for .

don’t worry Robin will be back just wait and see to wreck more chaos then there already is

Britt is a liar! Itis not Patrick’s baby.. She has her self all padded up to appear that she is pregnant… That’s my opinion..

Well I hope that Britt is carrying Dante and Lulu’s baby?? This story needs to finish soon!

Brit will become a good person with the help of Nick. It would interesting if Felix actually fell for the lab tech that is Brit’s accomplice.

I agree this story line as been going on for far too long, they need to either end it or spill what the truth is

I am thinking Brit is carrying Dontes and Lulu’s Baby!

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

Published

on

By

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

Photo: JPI

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
