This Week on Y&R: Celebrate the Life of Neil Winters in Special Episode

On the Friday, May 28th episode of CBS’ The Young and the Restless, the show will pay tribute to the late Kristoff St. John through his beloved character Neil Winters.

In story, Neil’s adopted son, Devon (Bryton James) plans a memorial for Neil, which will be a self-guided walking tour though Genoa City and characters help remember Neil throughout it.

Bryton James, who spoke to Soap Opera Digest in their latest issue on newsstands now, about the set-up: “For instance Sharon (Sharon Case) contributes the coffeehouse by having a special drink in Neil’s honor, and we see her and Devon sharing stories about him. And Victor (Eric Braeden) sets up an elaborate display of Neil’s accomplishments at Newman Enterprises in the lobby of Newman Tower.”

James shares that losing Kristoff back in February 2019 is still heartbreaking to this day, adding: “I’ll always be sad thinking about Kristoff. I miss him every day. It’s such an honor for me to get the chance continue with the show that as such a big part of his life, and carry on the legacy of the character in people’s hearts and memories.”

Does anyone know who sung the song at the end of the Neil Winters tribute. I’m not sure of the song title, but I believe it is I’m Grateful for it all?

For those who did not catch the 5th and final season, you are in luck!. The entire season will be available and streaming worldwide on Hulu, beginning on September 24th.

Lead by the incredible performances of Elizabeth Gillies as Fallon, the series just never caught on, or properly promoted by the CW.  However, viewers who did partake in watching the episodes, and stayed with it for five seasons, knew that this was actually a diamond-in-the-rough series or shall we say, a soap on steroids which brought the drama and poked great fun at itself all at the same time.

So, will you be checking out the ‘Dynasty’ series finale tonight? Sad to see it go? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
