Y&R Preview: Week of April 15th, 2018

It’s a big week for Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea) fans, and those who have been following the long and twisty story of Christian’s paternity on The Young and the Restless.
Setting up the exit for Egan, who has made the decision to depart the series, in story, Chelsea was cornered by Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) about her stealing money from her company. Chelsea told Phyllis if she does anything with the information her, she will expose that Adam is Christian’s bio-dad not Nick (Joshua Morrow)!
Now that Phyllis is reeling from the news, in the latest promo and previews she will share this information with Sharon (Sharon Case), And from the looks of the latest promo from CBS Daytime, there is a shot of Christian in a car, Chelsea outside of the car, and Sharon fighting for her life in a hospital! What will go down?
Add to that the fact that; Victor (Eric Braeden) has been in on the whole deception to Nick. He knows his son is not Christian’s father. How will this all play out? Will Nick once again be the last to know? Will his family and loved ones keep the information from him, just like Chelsea has during their entire relationship? Stay tuned.

day one; I posted JT was back to take Victor down, JT has many reasons why he’d love to take Victor down..
Victoria is sex, just sex.
JT had no reason to enter GC other than Vicior.
Of course nobody takes Victor down but watching JT & Paul try will be fun ..
JT and Victoria look like they are really smitten with each other and it seems to go deeper than just good acting. They have great chemistry which negates the premise that most real life couples lack chemistry on screen. Are Thad and Ameilia sure they want to go through with that divorce?
Maybe not, Harry….maybe not….they may not go through with the divorce. Actually, I thought they were already divorced? Not sure.
This couple is hot !! Yet, I see doom on the horizon….I read the tea leaves. Yeas I have…
I have no problem with the way Chelsea Is leaving ,Never liked her with Nick ,or J HsAdam. Only M M,sAdam.I would love to see SHARON,raise Adam’s Boys with Nick ,eventually .
Why is Phyllis telling everyone?
I feel like they have ruined Chelsea’s character. They should have just had Adam return from the dead and the three (Adam, Chelsea, and Connor) ride off into the sunset.

Now Suooo, don’t you love Sharon interacting with Mariah? I find those two to be incredibly touching and believable as mother and daughter.

The Revenge of Victor! And I was disappointed Reed dropped out of the Newman Boot camp. He came back from it acting more like a sniveling, self entitled brat than before. Moreover, what happened to that hair cut? He still looks like Peter Brady (I know The Brady Bunch was before your time but you must have caught the reruns on TV Land or the movie adaptations).
I like Chelsea, going to miss her smart outfits. I think the actress is really special and talented but she doesn’t have much chemistry with Nicholas.
My guess is the twist you predict will be Chelsea running off with Adam.

I agree. I would of liked to see Reed get a taste of the real world. I do not like this exit story line for Chelsea. I can not figure out if Adam will be coming back or if Chelsea goes to jail. What will happen with Connor ? Looking forward to the Sharon/Nick reunion. I am a little confused because the spoilers state that Billy and Sharon are going to be getting together to deal with the aftermath of the paternity issue. Any thoughts ?
If that is JT’s intention, SuzieQ, he will fail….no one can bring THE Victor down, except death….and death should fear him, as he will defy it, LOL.
Victor’s every move is measured….do not underestimate his deviltry. Most aging people slow down, Victor gains steam with age…..and, wicked wisdom. Do you ken?

Hmmm….a twist you say? The twist will be the same one as it has always been concerning Chelsea, Sage, Adam, Nick and Christian….that is; everyone believes the baby is Nick’s. The audience is aware that Adam is, supposedly, the father….Victor fudged the DNA test, to make Nick the father.
However, as I have said, ad nauseam; Victor did no such thing…he lied. I don’t know why Victor does the Victor-stuff that he does; but I bet my favorite heels, Nick has always been the legit bio dad. Could that be the twist, su? I hope I am right… Phyllis and Sharon have no idea Victor is the mastermind….will they expose everything through their sleuthing?
Aside: do you know what truly, truly bothers me? Cain ( misspelled purposefully) acting all bent out of shape, with his holier-than-thou behavior. It’s one thing Lily unleashing her anger against Hilary, considering the latter has been a very painful thorn on Lily’s side, but Cane is not fit to clean Hilary’s shoes…..
It seems that Cane’s colossal SIN has been swept under the proverbial rug. Cane is such a sweetheart….

It is a constant never ending touchy-feely feast, he can not stand next to her without touching rubbing her, what a pervy creep he is a Creepy Pervy Tactile.

IF I were to have Nick as Christians father- that would keep Christian in Port Charles in the Newman clan.
IF I want Adam to return, I would have Christians as Adams son to give Adam a reason to return, for his son.

I would go that way and change everyone’s personalities, ya know have fun with it.

Celia, I don’t follow closely and got confused regarding Christian’s paternity. Never was it mentioned that Adam was the father until Victor walked in one episode and pronounced thus. I am with you. If we are wrong the writer’s have played with us a bit more than usual. Best!

Cane truly repulses me ….I don’t even find him good-looking. And, that new hair he’s sporting reminds me of Marmaduke–the cartoon from Archie. Ha!.

Good to “see” you……rest assured, you are not the only one taken aback with confusion.
How long has it been now? Christian’s paternity melodrama lost its punch for many of us, long ago.
Sage was married to Nick, but had a one “nighter” with Adam; thus, Sage did not know who the real father was…..and so it starts…
The story is that Adam is Chrstian’s bio father….but, because he did not want to “disrupt’ his marriage to Chelsea, he fudged the DNA test making Nick the father.
Yet, Tani, I am not convinced….even after the latest episode where Nick has his own test done….something’s afoot….not jiving for me.
Victor has had a hand in this….knows more than we realize. Who’s to say he did not ‘fiddle’ with the vials?
I have become disinterested with this story since it started….as su said…..used over and over….so are we to wait till the cows come home?
The writers want to wallow and linger in the muck until such time they feel ready to either make Adam or Nick the bio Dad….Nick is still in the picture, as far as I’m concerned…..not compelling storyline, at this point….a little too late.

I love the ‘barf bag’ idea, su…..those two words were consistently part of mine, and my twin’s vocabulary in High School ( among a few other girls )…when we didn’t like a certain boy, or “stuff”…. we would say, “pass the barf bag”. I know, I know…meanies…
I have never like Cane….and Lily’s best time was with Michael Graziadei (Daniel)….wish he would return….
I will listen to you, though….sit back and enjoy the show….as frustrating as it is, at present, the confusion adds mystery, and mystery demands attention….so, I’m down for the ride.
Phyllis? I like this version even less than I like Chelsea. The real Phyllis took a detour and never got back on the same road again.
She told Sharon she worked in a DNA lab, back in NY….but, she conveniently forgot what her criminally-tainted hands did in that lab….she played God ( goddess??) with people’s lives as much as Victor did/does. Daniel is not Danny’s son, but Phyllis did switch DNA results to make it look like he was.
So, I don’t much give credence to Phyllis’s newfound altruism….
It would be great if Adam came back…..the ultimate storyline….he comes home to find his wife and kids gone? …..that his wife betrayed him with Nick and another man?(Jordan)…..assuming Adam is not the orchestrator of this bizzarre turnabout.
Wow! Too many years on the road. I kind of think Adam should be gone. Let him rest in peace. However, a younger son could appear. For me a lasting relationship could be defined with young Adam. Newman; he will be a Newman, will he not, or was the issue which Newman, I honestly forget .

Because I had a mother with Alzheimer’s Disease it seems the writer’s have hit some key points that most don’t understand.: “fine and briliant one minute, one day, no recall the next.” I hope this has started an understanding of this disease.
Recall is that one day Dina either sold all of her holding or something Now what?

Good to see you here….I am truly apprciative of the writers to bring Dina’s declining health due to Alzheimer’s back to the fore.
I don’t know if you watch GH, but, Max Gail is doing such a great representation of the disease, as well.
As far as Adam is concerned, perhaps, you’re right, albeit a return would clear Chloe, set Victor straight ( who’s acting as the upstanding human being with integrity and a conscience—laughable).
By the same token, I did say that Connor should return, sans his mother, as a teen. A new generation taking hold of the reins?
And, yes….Camryn’s character as Mariah should be front and center. Everyone else is acting like infants.

I never forgot Chelsea raped Billy, Kay, my lovely friend. In Myanmar….reason number 1, I never really liked her …how does one make such a complete turnabout? She drugged and raped him ( Victor’s orders….she did it for the pay-off–the sewer rat), resulting in Johnny–whom I have said for the umpteenth time, she ignored completely. How does a mother do that? I don’t care if Victoria adopted him; Chelsea gave birth to him. That is how a person should be judged….if one can forget one’s child so easily and so indifferently….well, actions speak louder than words.
Actually, if memory serves me right, Chloe raped Billy, too….Poor Billy….he should be traumatized…instead, what does he do? Takes up with Phyllis only to get traumatized some more. LOL.
I did not realize Adam switched DNA vials, as Mo said. So many tests switched left and right….it becomes a blur. …point is, Nick will turn out to be the father.

I don’t understand how Chelsea stealing the money from her own company is linked with her fear of Nick discovering Christian is Adam’s biological son. Was someone blackmailing her? Jordan?
I don’t always pay attention when the soaps are on so the confusion could be entirely my fault. Feel free to explain this to me as if I were a two year old. I am not defensive about my intelligence, or lack thereof. Thank you ahead of time.

I’m with you, Celia! I cannot believe all the variables in this story: DNA, fudging results, lies upon lies, Holmes and Watson (Phyllis and Sharon), Chelsea stealing money when she’s got enough already– I do think Jordan is in this deeper than we realize. If Adam is alive, why would Chelsea be pushing to marry Nick? If Victor is involved in this, I hope Paul and JT nail his sorry butt and they just write the character off the show– all he is good for is stirring up trouble in everyone’s life. The man needs some serious redemption, especially at his age!

Just go with the flow nice and easy and then all fits together because I see it how it’s written not how I think it should be and do not dissect it , dissecting it and analyzing it that makes a mess of it because then pieces are separated and leaves them dangling.
I never forget.. it is fantasy and fantasy is just that make believe ..
(( I never had problems with fairy tails, either .. Jack did climb the beanstalk, and I never questioned how, he just climbed the beanstalk !! ((I liked that story lol))

Chelsea started to panic…when she and Jordan got
caught for their past miss deeds… She felt an exit plan
was necessary in the event Victor came forward about
her knowledge regarding Christian. Fully believing Nick
would NEVER forgive such a betrayal…So in essence
her relationship w/ Nick was more like 2 lonely hearts
consoling one another…. I disagreed with the timing,
WAYYYYYYYY too soon for them to form a connection
other than friendship, it felt wrong on so many levels.
She has attitude,gumption,drive,she’s fun…..he’s dull
as a dish rag….R we sure he’s the great Victor’s son???

Sorry for the late response ( we took the kids to see Aladdin and The Lion King—couple of days, in Manhattan, with a parade of children is exhausting, LOL), and this goes to all my frinds on these sites…..but, yes….you and Fanny express my feelings about the shenanigans better than I ever could.
I had said, that perhaps, Chelsea is pushing this sordid marriage idea in order for her to get custody of Christian….but time became of the essence, so she clocked Sharon. I caught that much on my iphone …missed a bit, here and there, yet hurriedly had a few glimpses.
I can’t seem to make up mind mind abount Victor’s involvement in this because he’s mercurial, Ron. At the very least, he seems volatile, but everything about Victor tells us he is always on the ball, and knows exactly his purpose….his eagle-sharp eyes always on the prize.
I, honestly, don’t know, this time….ergo, the befuddlement.
If Victor’s ” sorry butt” will be sent to oblivion, I think, is up to Eric. Will he soon retire? Y&R’s face would, certainly chang without him….

Exactly, lovely lady…..it’s all about the timing. One does wonder how this story would have developed had Chelsea and Nick taken thevpath to friendship.
Fanny, what are the chances she had planned this scheme from the get go? …..That she had her eye on Nick because he meant both stability and honor? Everyone likes Nick , and the fact that he is a straight arrow ( Ha!…well, for the most part?) and honorable, no one would suspect any wrong moves she made?

Anyway…I don’t think it was Phyllis (I may be wrong), but I do think it was Chelsea herself….at least, it’s logical. It happened soon after Chelsea found our what Sharon knew.
Nonetheless, as soaps go, everything and anything is possible.

The Chelsea character morphed into another personality way too quickly. None of this story line makes sense, other than a convenient way to write her out. Writers should have come up with something more believable than the Fenmore’s website scam. I still don’t get it. Gina T. beyond annoying on her vendetta. Hopefully things will improve soon. I will miss “Chelsea.”

Chelsea’s out of left field confession of Christian’s paternity to Phyllis on Friday’s episode made absolutely no sense whatsoever. Chelsea is a grifter and a con artist who would know that the more people who share a secret the greater the chance that secret will be revealed thus lessening its value as a bargaining chip.
Why is Phyllis telling Sharon about Christian’s paternity after all the bad blood between those two? Sharon put Phyllis in a coma for a year while trying to stop her from telling Nick she had changed Summer’s paternity results. Phyllis destroyed Sharon’s remarriage to Nick when she came out of her coma (and broke up Sharon and Nick’s marriage after Cassie’s death). There is no way those two should even be remotely civil to one another but of course today’s soap scribes find it much easier to gloss over things like that instead of playing what would be very realistic grudges. And we’re supposed to believe that Chelsea has put Sharon in a coma to protect her secret? No way. Absolutely nothing about this mess rings true to character whatsoever.
This type of “storytelling” is what you get when there are no long term stories in place (and in Y&R’s case there are NO stories being told right now — it’s just a daily mix of random scenes that add up to nothing.)
Alan, I agree with you 100% and I have now stopped watching Y&R…in my opinion Mal Young is destroying Y&R and is as bad as Charles Pratt writing…When I read that Y&R has returned to it’s classic ways of story telling and background music, I will once again start watching…

Kevin…oh I agree with you…FULLY AND 110% about the current background music for Y&R. Thank You. To me, back in the day, when it came to the background music for the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, Y&R knew WHAT THEY WERE DOING!!!!! Nowadays…not so much. To me (in the current sense), the background music (in general) is pointless, dumb and EVEN MORE ANNOYING!!!!! NOT BUYING ANY OF IT…AT ALL!!!!!

Hi Boop, I think Y&R is now at it’s worse with Mal Young writing the show even though I didn’t watch a lot after 2006 and started watching full time again when Sally Sussman and Kay Alden was rehired for these two lovely ladies knew what Y&R is about…I do not like Mal Young’s way of writing, look at other’s have posted and their comment’s on Mal’s writing, I am not the only one that feels this way…THANKS jaybird369 for understanding about Y&R’s background music, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and up till 2006 was great…Celia, love music…only kind of music I don’t care for is Acid/Hard Rock, to me that’s not music, it’s noise, lol…and don’t really care for Hip Hop / Rap but I did like ICE ICE BABY, lol
I think it’s kind of ironic that now that Phylis and Sharon are on the same team, Sharon finds herself in the same position she put Phyllis in not that long ago. As the saying goes, What goes around, comes around. I feel bad for Mariah in all of this. She was finally coming into her own and finally accepting the family dynamic she has with Sharon and Faith. Not to mention all those wonderful heart to heart talks she had with Sharon. This is going break her heart. I really wish they would make up their minds about Hilary. Is she going to become pregnant or not. I am sick of listening to her rambling on and on about it. And as for Nick, what number broken heart is this going to be for the poor guy. Am I the only one who is sensing a Nick and Sharon reunion yet again. It looks like it’s going to be an interesting week. And on a side note, Why did B &B have to break up Wyatt and Katie? To me, that was their most ingenious pairing since Quinn and Eric. I guess they are trying to get fheir money’s worth out of ingo. I don’t see why they couldn’t do all this when wonderful WH had the role. Well bye for now and happy viewing everybody! !!!*

And now we’re stuck with the same darn thing over at GH….I swear all that was missing in that carpet scrubbing scene with Nina was the overemotive one repeatedly yelling “Out damn spot!” (As if she’s never heard of professional crime scene cleaners??? Tell me that revolting mess would have even still been there to provoke yet another of this character’s highly-contrived melodramatic meltdowns!)

We saw that by the time Michelle left, Phyllis had been more or less redeemed….she had become a likable character.
Sharon did not push Phyllis down the stairs, as many think….if I remember correctly, it was an accident. Sharon and Phyllis have something in common….they both fudged DNA paternity tests. Sharon did not like the idea of Phyllis and Nick sharing a child ( Summer); thus, she changed the test to make Jack the father. Phyllis found out and they struggled ( after Sharon went after her by grabbing her phone and Phyllis slipped). Sharon did not push her, per se, but she was a catalyst.
Nevertheless, Gina’s Phyllis does not jive……not the real Phyllis…fake news….as is Jason Thompson….no contest. Ha!

That hurt my eyes, and made me want to hurl! So, the man who’s already down a wife, child and his newest object of affection, has now been reduced to toyboy status with a tawdry roll in the hay ala Port Charles’ most ready and willing???? Oh, the indignity of it all! I could just weep for Anna! Anyway, hope you are well…I’ve been a bit behind in my GH viewing and quite frankly, I’m going to require some time to get over the vapors from the latest Alexis sexual escapade…however, you just knew she was about erupt, yes??? It really was only a matter of when, not if! Regardless of the fact that there were ten adults throughout this Manhattan excursion, twelve kids together was a true ordeal……they all talk at the same time; made my head spin….but, they had fun. They are this young once…..This was Rosie’s first time at any Broadway musical. Her attention span isn’t that honed yet….but, she did enjoy “THE Lion King” because we have read the book version to her so many times ( and the movie)…..”Aladdin” was a complete bore for her. She fell asleep…
Okay, our favorite character, Alexis. As I indicated, I truly have no words….and, I repeat: why are TPTB doing this?
Nancy has no choice, Shay….it is her job to ‘follow’ the script….unless she likes waltzing down the, lascivious , twisted road presented to her. LOL. This kind of writing is disturbing. Why her? I can see Bobbi or Carly being written this way….then again, I really do not know any of them in depth.
I thought that once she was away from Julian, her ‘calling’ would be one of healing, if not so virtuous. Yet, every time she does see Julian?….the craving, the hunger in her eyes, is palpable—-good acting, that.

It sounds like you had a lovely, albeit hectic, whirlwind visit to the “Great White Way!” And how sweet it included your own little lady….it’s an excellent thing to introduce the bambinos to the arts early on and I’m sure she took in more than you know….I vividly remember all my first trips to concerts, museums and shows with my parents, especially those that happily ended with me securely asleep in my mother’s arms! At any rate, you will probably be caught up on GH before I am…..at the moment, my foreign programs are taking precedence and I don’t live to watch even those non-stop! With only so many hours to the day, I’m not prepared to waste all my spare time viewing tv shows! But all in good time….I’m still trying to get over the extreme distaste I experienced with that tawdry Finn and Alexis hookup of convenience….hence yes, we will have to continue to (respectfully…as always!) agree to disagree on this one, mia amica! Me thinks that simply having mutual substance abuse issues does not a desirable romance make…it’s actually a recipe for disaster trying to keep each other sober! Soooo….I shall remain with my complete disdain for this pairing….As for the so-called comparable ages between Anna and Alexis??? Finola is approximately five years NLG’s junior, which is huge to me…especially when you consider that Michael Easton is only pushing 50….making a whopping 12+year difference between Finn and Alexis. Plus, of course, personality-wise, the mysterious, sophisticated and alluring Anna is as far removed from being like that transparently trashy hot mess called Alexis as one can imagine…I’ll never fathom how this irresponsible character seems totally incapable of controlling her physical urges, no matter how ill-advised or tragic the consequences when she surrenders to them….surely at some point there should be some diminution of those gushing hormonal surges that appear unabated in this wanton woman???? No tears here, goodbye Chelsea and goodbye Y&R! This story is 2-3 years old, it finally comes undone because of Melissa’s departure and what, no Adam? What a let down. But its bigger than that, Mal Young has stripped the show to where now Devon is on ALL the time and we dont see Victor as much, Paul Williams and Michael, Lauren, once in a while, Dina is off, Billy and Phyllis are horrible, Noah is gone and Victoria is a joke! And by the way, if Tristan Rogers is done with the show, write him off while you are cutting the show to shit! And, recast Jess Walton. Y&R needs Jill and it should have recasted Kathrine! What a mess!

it is obvious that the JT story has totally been changed it was quite the rumor that he was going to be a abusive husband still do not like MY style too fast to keep up and really getting tired of the actors calling the shots on who they want to be paired with and they know who they are. I have found that most popular couples usually are not big buddies off camera it is called acting. TR has stated that the EP at both Y&R & Gh have no plans for him in stories. I have a journalist friend who told me years ago TR is difficult could be just a rumor funny how rumors rule the world.

I agree with you….but, you know what?, this ain’t the end….I look at Chelsea’s exit as the beginning of a new chapter. The ending is too abrupt….is Adam alive?…..I think so.
There are three options. 1) This is, indeed, the end for Chelsea and Connor.
2) Adam and -a Chelsea recast- with a sorased Connor, will return ( Connor may return by himself, as Reed did).
3) Adam will return alone, sans family, unbeknownst to him his wife and son are gone.
If Katherine is recast, T, where would ‘they’ find someone that age? It would have to be someone much younger, and that would not ‘add’ up….look at what happened to Dina…..temporary fix, which was sad and unsatisfying.
This is not an ageist remark, far from it….but, when we reach a certain age, our podition, in any field, becomes untenable….for so many reasons.
I agree about Jill, though…I miss her. I don’t know if anyone can take her place. It would be as strange and as unnerving as nuPhyllis and nuBilly.

Hi Celia, I don’t think Adam (M.M. or J.H.) are coming back but I do think Chelsea is off to meet her mother. I take week long breaks because every time I turn around one or more soaps will hint at Adam coming back. That would make the ratings go through the roof but I think Mel Young who I think is a fantastic writer should have some respect for the fans and say “yes at some point he’ll be back” or “no there will be no return of Adam Newman”. That way fans of both Adam’s can decide for themselves if they want to continue watching.

Thankfully this awful exit storyline will be wrapping up soon. Chelsea is like nails on a chalkboard for me. I find the character to be very irritating. The actress always seems to be overacting and overreaching to me. I’m just not a fan.

I am one who likes things neatly sewn up…..yet, we all know , not giving a final outcome to stories and characters, is a standard on soaps.

What is strange to me is how Nick managed to get the lab report so fast. Did he use the “Newman Pull”?
Even with that in his pocket, there is no guarantee the report proves Nick is not the father…..especially when Victor is involved.
Did the lab use the old vial, hair, swab, or whatever? I am not convinced Nick is not the father….something’s afoot.
Not that anyone gives a damn, and not to agree or disagree with any one person, but I can’t stand Sharon’s glaring, deer-in- the headlights face and nose in everyone’s business, i.e, when Noah was giving his going away announcement, she could hardly contain herself, once she noticed Chelsea’s ring. She acted putout, that she wasn’t asked her permission first, and what business was it of hers? I am truly not looking forward to she and Nick, reuniting. I adore Nick, trusting, kind, naive, gullible, etc. Not wanting to be a carbon copy of good old dad, unlike his sisters, going nose to nose, with jealousy , to be daddy’s best girl! I liked M.C.E when on AMC, but not her role of Chelsea . Why has she never felt any motherly stirrings towards Johnny, her first-born? Unrealistic to me. Phyllis will never change, I’ve accepted that, and like Sharon her nose, usually gets her into trouble. I believe J.T does have feelings for Victoria, and also think his short fuse has more to do with than his spying on daddy. His pill taking maybe? We all have our likes and dislikes, as with Cane. That man makes me sick, and was glad when he and Lily broke up, so I wouldn’t have to see him physically jumping his wife, every time they came in close contact. I would also love to slap that damn toothpaste-ad smile off his face!

….I completely disagree with what was said about Sharon. Nick and Sharon will always care for each other….where there’s love, there’s concern. We could turn the tables on Nick, Shay. He gets into Sharon’s business all the time….eg. Scott and Dylan. It’s a give and take between them. No one will love Nick in the same passionate and with such natural affection as Sharon does; and vice versa.
Victoria may seem harsh, at times, but she is a good, truthful, and such with whom one can trust
She has had to wear armor and shield because she is a Newman….no question about who is trying to gain approval from Daddy. Victor is a fox….wily. He knows exactly whom to trust and it ain’t Abby. She is the most flighty character on the show…..not that I don’t like her? But, if anyone feels entiltled, it is she.

Victor Newman is the Young and the Restless. The only way I want him off the show is that God takes him away.
I also don’t understand how the scam and Christian are connected.
I’ve never liked Nick , Chelsea, Phyllis, Hilary , and Victoria.
I believe that JT and Victoria have more chemistry now than they did years ago.
Lily should have been more forgiving with Cane since she had sex with his friend , twice .He eventually, forgave her. I try to understand how people can’t forgive others knowing they’ve been in the same predicament or something similar .
My theory has always been, Boop, that Adam is alive and in contact with Chelsea. He wants her and his sons ( if Christian truly is his son)….nothing else makes any sense. I think Chelsea should have been recast.
Amidst all of it, Chelsea felt deep guilt and regret for Nick; thus, leaving Christian at Victoria’s doorstep.
Obviously no questions are answered and, more importantly, I am probably wrong.
As Harry suggested, Jordan is in on this, in some way, shape or form.
What surprised me the most, was how easily Victor resigned himself with the fact that Chelsea was gone, after ‘catching’ Jordan, whom, may I add, I did not believe for a minute.
It is not like Victor to give up without a ‘fight’.
Now, with whom was Chelsea speaking, when she said ( on her cell), “On our way. It’s just Connor and me ( I, LOL)?
So did Chelsea hit Sharon so she wouldn’t tell Nick about Christian because if Nick knew about Christian then Phyllis wouldn’t have any reason to keep quiet about the fraud?
Yes, Mo….that is what I think, as well.
Also, by clocking Sharon, she knew someone would find her and everyone would be with Sharon at the hospital….perfect storm for Chelsea to make her get-away without any encumbrance.
There is one name I am missing in the whole debate: Michael Muhney. I wish Michael Muhney’s Adam came back to the show.
So sorry to have upset someone’s delicate sensibilities by my so-called “rudeness and snarkiness”. Maybe I didn’t use acceptable language in describing how I really feel, especially about Sharon, so I will say it very nicely, I can’t stand her, most of the time, but at other times, I can tolerate her. So, maybe to be friendly and polite, we can agree to disagree. They were right about one thing though, age does not preclude being rude or otherwise, we can be that at any age!
Violet, nothing to do with Sharon….these are characters, and each of us has an opinion….whether one agrees with the other, or not. I, totally, could care less what is said about characters….I make my voice heard in a VERY polite manner…unlike some….

@Violet… If I may be so bold, I think maybe there was a misunderstanding that occurred on the DOOL page about Patch, Kayla and the use of nicknames…Both CeeCee and I responded to an initial comment—-not yours!—-complaining about Steve’s use of the term “sweetness” for his ladylove, and we contributed our own counter views on that subject. The way the comments were configured, it appeared that we were contradicting only your opinion and I think you were initially offended by our ardent rebuttals and posted a reply that indicated you felt like we were kind of ganging up on you? At first, even I was a bit surprised by that statement because I intended nothing of the sort, so I did write you an apology which never made it online…..I later mentioned it in a subsequent post or two to you. Given there was another party involved in this little dustup who had to add their usual negative two-cents to the mix, it created some ruffled feathers, as is always the case. (The same thing happened on the Jordan and Andre thread..and it’s still going on…) I don’t know how long you have been visiting MFSoaps, but this is a long-term, recurring situation where there is a constant effort to whip up a controversy when CeeCee and I are concerned and you perhaps unwittingly landed smack in the middle of the ongoing bitterness between ourselves and this other person…When I later reviewed the thread, I could understand your reaction and realized you meant no harm to either CeeCee or me. That’s why I made a point to reply to you several times elsewhere until you understood there was no disrespect from my perspective…as I said, I would never go out of my way to be rude to one of my elders….or really anyone here without a compelling rationale to do so. I like getting along with as many posters as possible!!!! Of course, I could be wrong and there was another incident of which I am not aware, since I don’t go to all the threads that CeeCee does, but if my hunch is correct, this could be the root of the problem that created the hard feelings, which I can understand as I was also taken aback by it. Anyway, I hope this helps, as I really enjoy both of you! @Celia and Shay. Thank you for your kind posts and comments, which has somehow turned into our own soap opera. I’ve been only with MF for a few weeks, and though I thought better of it, I decided to reply to your interesting views and comments. I should have stopped, when I realized that most things said, were a personal affront to some, and hurtful and insulting to others.
Life is too short for me to have to stop and analyze everything I say, knowing it will be too seriously dissected to death.
I do remember saying in agreement to someone, that It was getting tiresome hearing Steve calling Kayla baby and sweetness in every sentence, but no worse than Fancy Face. I don’t think my comments have been any worse than any other opinions on this board to garner such blowback. I think from now on I will continue enjoying my shows, keep my mouth shut, so as not to worry about the effect on others. Thanks again dear ladies, keep watching. Its been real/reel.
I would like to see Sharon get her education and have an actual career. Nick needs a real job too. Nick and Sharon need to get big storyline. What happened to the Dina story ? Why are all the oldies coming back ? Any thoughts? Jill is coming back too.

‘Brilliant Minds’ Officially Canceled After 2 Seasons at NBC; DAYS Alum Al Calderon, OLTL Alum Teddy Sears and Zachary Quinto Among the Cast
After languishing on the bubble for months, on Friday, NBC handed down the decision and canceled the medical drama Brilliant Minds after two seasons.
Brilliant Minds stars Zachary Quinto as neurology physician Oliver Wolf, who’s character and the series is inspired by the life and books of neurologist. Oliver Sacks. The series focuses on the medical mysteries of the mind, as Wolf a larger-than-life neurologist and his team of interns explore the last great frontier, the human mind, while grappling with their own relationships and mental health.
The final six episodes of what will now be the end of its second and final season were already set to air beginning on May 27, after being pulled off the network schedule in February as viewership saw a steep decline. Brilliant Minds second season became the lowest-rated drama on linear TV viewing, which didn’t bode well fo a network renewal, although it had its hard core fan base.

There are some exceptional notables in the cast along with the talented Quinto that includes Days of Our Lives alum, Al Calderon (ex-Javi Hernandez) who joined the series in its second season as Nurse Nico Silva, and One Life to Live alum, Teddy Sears (ex-Chad Bennett) who plays Wolf’s love interest and fellow physician, Dr. Josh Nichols.
The rest of the talented cast includes: Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Alex MacNicoll, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II, Donna Murphy, John Clarence Stewart, and Brian Altemus.
In an ironic twist of fate on Thursday, April 30, Days of Our Lives finally revealed the actor who was Al Calderon’s successor in the role of Javi, when they announced that actor Jacob Martinez had now stepped into the role. Since DAYS tapes ten months ahead of streaming new episode, Calderon left in the spring of 2025, but will be seen in the part for the final part this month, and then on June 20, Martinez debuts as Salem’s new Javi.
Taking to his Instagram with a sorrowful and heartfelt post on the Brilliant Minds cancellation was Teddy Sears who wrote, “Thank you, Brilliant Minds. I got the call today and I didn’t want to hear, but I knew that it would come, You have to be a particular vintage to quote Don Henley from memory, but that’s the line that came to mind earlier today after I got off the phone with our inimitable showrunner Michael Grassi who delivered the news that NBC has cancelled the series”.

Sears continued, “To say that I feel sad to be moving on from these stories, this character, and this cast and crew just doesn’t paint the entire picture. I’m sad, sure. But I’m also deeply grateful that I got hired to play this part, so proud of the stories we told, and the other actors I got to play alongside. I’m excited to see what comes next, what adventures await, and terrified to be without a professional home. A quick and heartfelt thank you to everyone, all over the globe, who found us and found themselves in us, in our characters and in our stories. We wouldn’t have been able to tell them without you. And we still have 6 fresh episodes yet to air, and I do hope you tune in enjoy the remainder of the series. They’re the best we’ve done.”
As he wrapped up his sentiments, Sears signed off with, “The more I know, the less I understand. All the things I figured out I have to learn again. I’ve been trying to get down to the heart of the matter. But everything changes…Thank you, Brilliant Minds.”
The medical drama was created and executive produced by Michael Grassi alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, Lee Toland Krieger, DeMane Davis, Jasmine Russ, Henrik Bastin, Jonathan Cavendish, Andy Serkis and Shefali Malhoutra.

‘General Hospital’s’ Jonathan Bennett Receives 3 ‘Critics Choice Real TV Awards’ Nominations for Hallmark Series, ‘Finding Mr. Christmas’
Many things are coming up roses for Jonathan Bennett! On the heels of the news that he is set to debut this month in the role of Joe Fitzpatrick on General Hospital, who is rumored to be a new love interest for Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), comes the news that Bennett’s reality series, Finding Mr. Christmas has received 3 nomination for the Critics Choice Real TV Awards.
Bennett’s Hallmark Channel series finds itself in tough competition alongside fellow nominees: RuPaul’s Drag Race (MTV), Squid Game: The Challenge (Netflix), Survivor 50 (CBS), Top Chef (Bravo) and The Traitors (Peacock). In addition, Jonathan himself is nominated for Best Show Host and the series participants as the Best Ensemble Cast in an Unscripted Series.
The Critics Choice Association (CCA) revealed the nominees for the eighth annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards on Thursday, which recognize excellence in nonfiction, unscripted and reality programming across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms. Winners will be announced online at CriticsChoice.com on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 9:00am PT/12:00pm ET.

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”
In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.
It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.
Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?
On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.
As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.
Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.
BROTHERLY LOVE?
Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”
With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”
BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE
Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”
