THIS WEEK On Y&R: Sharon Says, "I Only Wanted To Stop Phyllis From Shooting Her Mouth Off About Nick's Paternity Test! I Didn't Mean For Her To Fall!"

Courtesy/CBS

Did Daytime Emmy winner Michelle Stafford’s amazing 16 year run on The Young and the Restless end with a massive tumble down the stairs by Phyllis thanks to a confrontation with her nemesis, Sharon Newman (played by Daytime Emmy winner, Sharon Case)?

In this week’s CBS promo for the series, which starts with the voice-over, “It’s the summer of secrets … with a confrontation!” Then we see Sharon and Phyllis in fight at the top of a stairwell, and then Phyllis take a huge fall! Sharon then says, “I only wanted to stop Phyllis from shooting her mouth off about Nick’s paternity. I didn’t mean for her to fall!”

Next, we move into the Michael/Lauren/Carmine story where Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) says to Carmine, “You will clear Michael of all the charges?” Carmine (Marco Dapper) says, “Yes, I will.”   But the obsessed hunk then says, “I just want one more hour,”  and the two look like they are making out!

Watch this week’s Y&R promo after the jump, and let us know what you think about the Phyllis and Sharon confrontation and Phyllis falling down the flight of stairs?  And, what do you think of Carmine becoming a darker character obsessed with Lauren?  Comment below!

The Carmine and Lauren stuff is stupid.. but then again the Lauren character is the worse character, yuck .. So, I don’t care what happens to her and her glue hair extensions/the never ending 70’s decade hair style lol..

So, Sharon will kill off Phyllis? haaa that is befitting..
Nonetheless, I love the unique Phyllis character and will greatly miss her!!
Michelle Stafford is Phyllis, nobody could replace her ..

Was wondering in this blurb..it said Sharon said I only wanted her to keep her mouth shut, is this something she says to herself or to someone who catches her? Anyone know

Hate the Carmine story and also am disliking the way Phyllis is out…would rather her go out with a fireball the way her character is by saying good bye to everyone and am hoping Sharon gets her dues, not liking the Sharon storyline at all….ugh

She was talking to Cassie’s ghost — so essentially she was talking to herself, but Cassie was who she was speaking too. ( day ahead in Canada) saw the show so that is how I know.

I use to like Sharon’s character on the show, now they’re making her boring and strange. I don’t even care for her character anymore.

Love Sharon! She should not be treated like this. Time for Sharon to be happy and Adam and Sharon get married.

Sharon Case is a outstanding actress! Love everything she does. I sure hope she wims a Emmy next year again 🙂

I will miss Ms. Stafford as the great Phyllis! I started back 10 years ago watching because I saw one of the shows with Phyllis and got hooked! Phyllis was awesome rather she was being bad or good. Love Phyllis Summers Newman and love Ms. Michelle Stafford, looking forward to her next project because I will be watching!

I will miss MS. I was hoping the writers take her out with a band and not a coma. Come on. Don’t let this storyline drag out. I guess that is why Daniel is returning briefly. Don’t leave this storyline like this with Phyllis in a coma. Hopefully you guys will have a recast in place.

Well she is not dead, she is in the hospital and needs brain surgery–( a day ahead in Canada) I suspect she will have surgery, come out of it fine, but will not remember anyone except Daniel and leave town with him.

I also hate the whole Carmine – Lauren thing now– it was a good story about how easy a woman might have a quick affair and the damage it did to her marriage– but now it your typical obsessed stalker s/l that makes Lauren a damsel in distress, — last I saw her Carmine had her all tied up– so booo on that– what’s next? Is he going to rape her now and end up dead? Will have to endure another murder mystery like Diana Jenkins? Are we sure MAB isn’t secretly slipping in her stories to JG– because all this is reminding of her stuff.

Diane

Love it that you are ahead of us please keep reporting if not here in private lol..I am glad she didnt die and yeah prob right because I heard Daniel is coming back on for a few episodes. Carmine will probably rape her not great on that either..Really hope Sharon gets busted very soon so we dont have to endure a whole summertime of this, I think they will close it soon as to not drag Summer into this without knowing the truth..(Nick Jack)

JFP loves rape stories so she is in hog heaven! As for Sharon get her done!!!

whoops I mean Mary….keep us posted, thank you

No whoops needed–I thought you were correcting me because I said Diana Jenkins in my earlier post when the character’s name is Diane. I think I had royal baby fever on my brain yesterday and Princess Diana was on my mind.
I am always careful about what I reveal seeing the show a day a head of the States, knowing some don’t like their surprise spoiled– but in this case I figured most would know they wouldn’t kill off Phyllis like that- and that is why I went ahead and stated the obvious.
I also hope this doesn’t drag out too long, but with show that might be a bit optimistic– Y&R isn’t known for their fast moving pace, so it might be a while before Sharon is found out.

Not much– Jack and Avery talking about Phyllis while waiting to hear news about her operation. Nick told Summer about Phyllis. Vicki told Adam to stay away from the hospital but he went anyway to support Jack. Dylan and Chelsea attended a birthing class. Victoria had a run in with Chelsea and Chloe at the hospital, about Chloe hanging around Billy. Avery and Dylan had a chat about the old days when he knew both her and Phyllis as kids. Vicky told Billy about Phyllis. Phyllis came through the operation, but doctor says it is too soon to tell what her long term condition might be. There was no Lauren and Carmine today, but previews show them in tomorrow show here, Thursday show States side.

Mary

What happened today?

Shelli

In my opinion, the writing is atrocious.

Nothing but recycled crap.

Phyllis’s fall down the stairs is a Dru on the cliff do-over.

And Lauren being held against her will has been done to death.

Once Katherine Chancellor’s memorial episodes are over, I’ll be saying “Good Night” to Y&R.

The memorial service may take up to 18 episodes. This is YawneR
we’re talking about!!!

H Parson it is a Dru recycled story Josh Griffin wrote that one too. So original not!

Might add Phyliss was trying to call Jack then and I believe tell him about Sharon sleeping with Brad! Wash, Rinse & Repeat!

H. Parson, I totally agree with every word you posted

The confrontation between Sharon and Phyllis was underacted in my opinion. I was expecting either of them to go off-the-wall and let loose but the script didn’t allow for that. Quite boring and poor acting. Carmen isn’t done with Lauren and I shudder where this storyline may lead. I hope Michael and Lauren can find their way back to each other. And Fen, what are you thinking? Your antics are just putting a bigger wedge between your parents.

I don’t like that TPTB turned Carmine into a stalker. Once the Chloe kidnapping attempt was over, and Carmine was kind of rehabilitated (while in a relationship with Abby), there were a lot of different ways the writers could have taken this character. I don’t like the stalker business. I don’t want to see Carmine killed off or made a rapist. Ugh.

I like Lauren, but for goodness sake could she PLEASE get a new hairstyle and get rid of the chewed up extensions?

Go Sharon next time kick her ass! I am loving the crazy Sharon what was Phyliss’s excuse for Daniel and god knows what else she has done. Yeah she will probably go out in a straight jacket courtesy of JFP but who cares at least the actress is not kissing JFP’s backside like Joshua Morrow and Steve Burton. The worst actors in the business! Go Sharon Case go out with a big bang!!!

Hope this means Robin Christopher can take over now.

Sharon is a character that I don’t even love to hate. My prediction is that one of the many men she picked up recently was working for Victor and her medication was changed. That is the only answer to make her anyway redeemable to some of her fans. As for the smarmy Carmine and Lauren story, Lauren should never trust a person who puts a sex-tape on a mainstream internet site. She should have left when she had the chance, but now she is tied to a chair. I will truly miss Michelle Stafford and wish her well in her future endeavours. She is the only one who could play Phyllis…a crying shame that she is leaving in a coma

Hello.

could some one please post when Phyllis last airdate is… ?

so i can record it.

thanks.

Sorry they haven’t officially released her final air date yet– some say her last speaking scenes were on Monday- others have said her final scenes will be in early August– but no exact date given– I think they don’t want to ruin the suspense of the story — is she or isn’t going to wake up from the coma– if we know for example her last air date is in August then we will know she will wake up from the coma– Keep checking the web or here — I am sure at some point they will tell us know her last air date officially.

Lauren & Carmine??? Seriously Y&R, you expect me to believe that fine azz Carmine is obsessed with HER!! One of the writers has some sick fantasy that they’re playing out.

Y&R already got rid of Drew from the show, now Phyllis. Why are they getting rid of all the strong and vibrant women? I think it’s going to have a negative impact on the show.

Y&R wants to live up to it’s nickname, YawneR.

Katherine, Jill & Phyllis were my favourite female characters.

Jeanne Cooper has passed away.
Michelle Stafford has left the show. – so, that leaves Jess Walton.
So, of my favourites, that leaves Jess Walton

I’ve heard rumours another vet is going to leave the show and it wouldn’t surprise me to hear that vet is Jess Walton.

Is Michelle Stafford going to wake up from her coma.

Michelle Stafford is the only interesting actress and her character is reason I watched Y&R.
Sharon Case and her character are milk toast. If Sharon gets nominated for an Emmy Y&R will go dark forever.

I’m telling all of you. Will you listen? DAYS is super HOT HOT HOT!!
I’m not saying give up on YawneR. Just make room for better DAYS!

I think it’s time to recast Phyllis, MS is not the only actress that can do a good job.
There is a lot of story left to tell. I also hate what the writers have done to Sharon..

I LOVED it when Phyllis called Sharon a “demented BITCH!” God, I’m going to miss Stafford!

They have totally ruined the character of Carmine! Marco Dapper should be a contracted
actor on the show and with the way they have taken his character to the “dark” side, I can only assume that his time is limited! He was starting to become a decent character after the whole Abby kidnapping story. I am certain Marco Dapper will get other acting jobs after Young And The Restless but the show should have went with him! Let’s face it, he is the best looking guy on the show and don’t knock his acting.
I’ve seen his other work! Give him a break, he does a good job! Did anyone see him on the reality series “Meet My Folks” when he was a young college guy? lol
Anyway, I do like the way they are handling the passing of Jeanne Cooper…at least so far!
The loss of Michelle Stafford really hurt! Loved her!
I have watched Young And Restless since it started!
Everyone seems to knock Lauren as well…give her a break! Glad she is on contract
now!
BRING BACK NINA AND DRU!!!!!
Don’t let Tracy leave either!

I really hope Phylis comes back because she is what makes Y&R the most fun soap to watch.

Unfortunately Sharon ‘s character is really weird now. The whole spacey wavy behaviour puts me to sleep. I am losing interest in anything she says or does. Move on alreadt!!

I hope Dylan and Avery get back together but then how do they compliment the show anymore?

Phylis has to come back or the show dies.
