The clock is ticking for Phyllis Summers Newman (Michelle Stafford) on this week’s The Young and the Restless as the most explosive secret from her past is about to be revealed thanks to a skeleton seeking Ricky Williams (Peter Porte)!

The man who is out for revenge on Phyllis has already found Dr. Tim Reid and it goes further from there, as he learns that Phyllis ran down Cricket years ago in a case that has never been solved!

Watch this week’s CBS promo for Y&R after the jump as Phyllis is clearly in danger from Ricky and her past!  And then let us know, are you enjoying the story?  Are you into Peter Porte as Ricky? And, do you hope Phyllis pays for her crime?

Yes, i’m loving the show at the moment. Ricky is a great villain. There is so much suspense what I haven’t really seen since the days of Kimberly Brown…the forever lasting war between Victor and Jack is always entertaining thanks to the amazing actors EB & PB. But still on piece is missing…Victoria Rowell and I’m really sad to see Eileen go away 🙁

Phillis deserves what ever bad happens to her it’s a long time comming.

Looks like she’s gonna lose the baby. Now, I am wondering – even though we know Daisy will be leaving – could it be that Daisy kills Ricky and Phyllis gets convicted. Then, the truth comes out and Daisy gets carted off.

I don’t think she could be tried for the hit & run….statute of limitations. But, the story coming out would make for a mess in her life.

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS STORYLINE! THE SUSPENSE IS ABSOLUTELY THRILLING TO WATCH! I can’t wait for today’s show!! I loved Phyllis’ bat-shit crazy ways from way back in the day and am LOVING the flashbacks and seeing her in all of her conniving, plotting, beautifully dangerous, manipulating glory! The spooky look she gave Avery at the end of Friday’s show had me at the edge of my seat!! Whatever happens to Phyllis, you can be sure that Michelle Stafford is going to be at the top of her game and BRINGING IT!! She is my favorite on the show and the writers are giving them all some very juicy material! Kudos to everyone involved and THANK YOU for reminding everyone why Young and the Restless is the NUMBER ONE show in daytime!!!

I hope she pays for everything.

I love phyllis first of all and on I hope she does not pay for her crime it been a long time and she is not the same person she was back then and you can not see who the person that was driving the car a no i hate part of this storyline because she can not portect from ricky or daisy. I wish he went after other people beside phyllis and can not wait to see what paul is going to do with his son same go with his sister.

sorry but phyllis is the same conniving witch she has always been – i hope she pays dearly……………

If they wanted to bring up something from her past, I’m surprised they haven’t brought up the fact that she killed Sasha.

I’d probably be interested in this storyline if I actually thought that Phyllis was going to suffer some long-term repercussions of some sort.

But Phyllis (like Victor) is the type of character who can do whatever she wants and get away it and is forgiven in a eerily short of amount of time for whatever she did.

I guarantee that by the time Christmas comes around, Phyllis will be sitting in front of the Christmas tree, smiling, with Nick and Summer by her side. And this storyline will be a distant memory.

Hey David why should anything be different Kevin tried to fry Collen and nothing happened she even became friends with him!!! And who killed Hightower wasn’t it Adam. Nikki is running around town after she killed Dianne, but yet Sharon sleeping with Billy is BAD CHARACTER! Stupid!!!

I have to say I have never REALLY liked Phyllis, I mean there were moments I did not hate her (she was cute at her first wedding to Nick), but now that she is being bullied by Ricky, I DO like her. I hate bullying and that is endearing the character to me. I loved the flashbacks. I love anything retro and that was a very nice treat.

Peter Porte is doing such a good job as Ricky. He is so creepy it is good. I hope they play this well and do not kill him off. Hopefully he will just run his course and join his equally crazy mama in the mental facility and then come back some day.

I would not say that Y&R is firing on ALL cylinders right now, but it has a few going and this is one storyline that is firing.

First of all the tick tock/w Victor has nothing to do with this. Second she is probably going to lose the baby & she will be the victim. Third the best part is creepy Ricky & what a find he is just like his Crazy Mom who was great . Fourth probably Daisy is going to be toast and Ricky will set Phyllis up. Please keep Ricky around a while he is the only new & exciting thing about this show the only reason I even watch it anymore. It will boil down to Michael having to prosecute and little Sis defending her that is where I think they are going.

OMG – it’s one story, people – the show in a whole is STILL a mess – a plot-driven overstuffed mess!

No doubt MAB and her writing hacks will drop the ball on this one, like they have on every story since their reign of terror started years ago – sorry, I’m not excited….

With all due respect; why are you watching it, then? Do yourself a favor and quit putting yourself through the “terror”. Sheesh!

Hard to give up a habit you’ve had since the summer of 1981…

As a loyal viewer for that many years, I feel I can speak out when something is wrong and this show has been in crisis mode for quite awhile. One highly anticipated storyline cannot detract from the offal being shoveled at us on a daily basis: Unnecessary SORAS’ing of characters that don’t need to be SORAS’ed; messing with timelines in a most hideous way (still don’t buy the “Daisy & Ryder are Kevin’s siblings” BS; terrible new characters; stunt casting; etc., etc.

I could go on but the ratings speak for themselves – nearly 1 million viewers have tuned out since Nikki’s special Christmas episode. Nobody’s stopping you from getting excited, so get excited.

Us loyal and faithful viewers know damn well that this slurry being smeared by Maria Arena Bell and her co-hacks is NOT the “Y & R” I know it can and should be – perhaps with some real writers who can develop character-driven stories I/O connect-the-dot plot-driven tales nobody is interested in – again, check the ratings.

Bart, I agree with you. The show is still unwatcable and in need of direction. I haven’t watched Y&R in two months and I love the show. But it is too much!

I love it too, and when I see what a mess it is, I feel the need to speak out – too many characters, no interesting stories, characters being aged for no reason other than to move Maria Arena Bell’s plot-driven heavy-handed and uninteresting tales.

It’s awful and it’s gonna get worse – I can sit here and tell you exactly what will happen: Another bad “whodunnit” with a jillion red herrings and no payoff for either the viewers or the ratings!!

Hey one story does not a soap make MAB has been like a wrecking ball and I will tell you all the actors phone it in, sorry my sister does high school plays better then most of this acting I called her after last weeks episodes and we laughed how stupid the plots etc are and the acting. I would start putting in resumes if they can find a job and Eileen Davidson be happy this nightmare is over.

Way to dig on our favorite actors, kay! Sorry, but I’m not going to put my faith in a high school actress when it comes to judging professional actors. No offense to her, but let’s be real, shall we? Your comment was not only uninformed, but it was insulting to those actors who give their best for the sake of us, each day. Shame on you! You know nothing about what these talented individuals (behind and in front of the camera) do each day. Take your negativity and shove it!

I love Phyllis – Michelle Stafford ROCKS IT !!
As for Ricky ..he`s dastardly – bad as his mama….
It`s inevitable that Phyllis` crimes would come home to roost,But I`ll feel really bad if she loses her baby.

I do not want her to lose the baby. I want her and Nick to be happy. I also think that Daisy will be “killed” cause crazy never dies. And that Ricky will use that tape he made today to frame Phyllis. But what I really can not wait for is the flashbacks. You know there coming and I for one can not wait. My other prediction is….Christine will get pregnant by Danny and then we could have a baby switch. Unlike GH where that SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED….this one could be good

Loving Y&R!!!!!

I have only watched Y&R for a few years , but I’m familiar with some of the past stories. Some of the fans really dislike Phyllis and want her to pay for her misdeeds. My take on this is that Michele Stafford is such a phenomenal actress, she makes me feel sympathy for Phyllis no matter what she’s done! That is a rare talent. Peter Porte is also doing a fabulous job as creepy Ricky!

What’s this? Positivity? Gratitude? Weird! Loved your comments…. too bad we don’t see more posts like this.

Hi Kalamaty,

I think there is negativity, because I am sure a lot of us have watched this show for decades and know how great it was and can be. Some of the choices lately have been a bit wild. Maybe MAB feels this willl attract more viewers. But, based on the current ratings, it is not. They are losing the viewers they’ve had for years. This is generally a friendly site, we just don’t want to see Y&R follow the trail of GL, ATWT, AMC & OLTL. It can happen.

Phyllis has been though enough. Love her and Nick. Everyone is too quick to criticize her. That is water under the bridge. She has matured. Would like to see Ricky and Daisy pay. Get rid of both. Sainted Sharon makes me sick – strutting around like she belonged at the wedding. Hope the writer’s have the guts to keep Phyllis and Nick together and show their strength and maturity as Mrs. C put it in the marriage ceremony.

On Friday, reports surfaced that Steve Kent, Senior Executive Vice President of Programming at Sony Pictures Television, is no longer with the company and overseeing the Sony soap operas, Days of our Lives and The Young and the Restless.

According to Soap Opera Digest, a set side source reported that Kent’s last day was last Friday, April 12th, which was one day after what would have been his final appearance in his Sony VP role at the Days of our Lives 15,000th episode on set celebration.
