With only a 10-episode committment, I suspect that the drama will be over-the-top and a turn off to many viewers. Keep Larry Hagman sober and just acting on it, and it might work! He single handly ruined the original after 1985 he became power hungry etc. I will watch to see I loved the original.

Larry Hagman is clean and sober with a new liver. But, why is he doing this reboot? He looks like one of the original vampires! What is he; eighty-something?! Give it up, Larry. You had great success with the original (which I loved). There’s no need to go back to that well again.
