Susan you can go to http://www.lovingllanview.com and it will tell you what cities they are touring right now, I beleive Ms. Archer is on this tour along with Michael Easton.

Susan M., I agree with all of your comments. I too, love Melissa Archer & the character of Natalie & always have. I remember the very first episode of OLTL she appeared in. What a great long story she head. She is gorgeous & I LOVE to see her on GH. They need a pretty redhead. MISS her & everyone on OLTL.

Susan, since she cannot belch/burp where we can all hear her she uses the word to make her point & make sure we all know how much she dislikes “MA”-which looks like she is saying she cannot stand her own mother but whatever, maybe she can’t! ha. We must assume she means Melissa Archer but dislikes her so much she cannot bear to write the name.

I think it is a very nasty comment and not very nice…. I don’t want to know what her foul comment means anymore………That’s all I have to say about this……

I don’t like your comments. Very rude.

I meant to Debi-not Susan M. Debi is rude.

I could care less if you don’t like the fact I don’t care for MA. She is a horrible actress, and her character was written horrible. GLORIA
If you don’t like what I have to say skip my posts. I am entitled to NOT agree with you.

gloria do you know what BELCH means or stands for???? I would like to know..Not getting a response from the person who made the comment…Again BELCH HATES MA???????????????????????????????? What is this all about?????????? Would really like a answe on this one…I don’t understand those abbreveations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(BELCH) ??????????????? Hates MA(melissa Archer) How could you hate someone you never met!!!!!!!!!!! That isn’t very nice at all…It’s rude & crude……………..Can you answer my questions???? waiting for a reply….Thanks for your comment Gloria 0n 5/27 at 4:25pm…..

“could care” less? think you meant “couldn’t” huh Debi?

What a nasty remark on 5/28 on 4:56am …………This site is for soap fans to express their comments about the soaps.. Which you are not…………Melissa Archer is not a horrible actress !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And her character wasn’t written horrible either…Yes you are entiled to your opinion but you could have phrased it in a less of a mean way…………………….By the wat I read the ABC soap digest today and they are considering Natalie to pay a visit to John in Port Charles…It’s a GOOD POSSIBLITY….I f you dislike her so much I suggest you don’t watch it…Can’t wait to see NATALIE ON GH when it happens !!!!!!! This for Debi not Gloria………………….

Waiting paiently……..BELCH whats that mean????????????????????

I think it means I’m jealous and bitter. LOL

Debi,

Your are correct. You are entitled to YOUR opinion, but do you really need to say such nasty things here, on Michael Fairman’s forum? His forum is one of the few remaining forums where people do not resort to swearing and nastiness to both the acting talent and fellow posters.

It is just my opinion, but in this instance, you probably should have just kept your “hate” for “MA” to yourself, as this has stirred up quite the hornet’s nest.

thank you. BELCH means vomit.
anything else I can help you understand?

Christine,

You don’t have to agree with Debi, but she IS allowed to express her opinion as she chooses. From the only three posts I saw of Debi’s on this thread, not one of them contains swearing. Also, It looks to me that the nastiness is coming from those who are picking on her grammar and those who seem to be harassing her for an explanation of her comments (which seem pretty self-explanatory to me).

And for those who couldn’t figure it out, BELCH was probably incorrectly spelled. My inclination is to think it was supposed to read BLECH, as in yuk.

The only hornet’s nest that’s been stirred up seems to be coming from one or two people. I would write them off as having nothing else to do with their day but obsess on a comment they don’t like. Compare the number of their comments to the original poster. They are the ones perpetuating this ridiculous thread.

Boloney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think saying you HATE someone is reaaly nasty in my book……………….Again, Yes she has a right to her own opinon.. But she prases it so crudely……………Could express her opinion in a nicer way… No the nastiness is coming from people PICKING on her… She lite the fire…..People don’t need to respond so nasty& crude.. I don’t agree with your comment RUSTY…..We have plenty to do with our time.. Do you?? If her comment wasn’t so nasty there would be no need to respond ….Don’t need nasty comments on this site….Why are you defending her ??? Yes her comments are NASTY………………….Saying you HATE someone is MEAN & NASTY…Especially if you know them or not………………..Dislike would have been a better word to use……….BELCH means VOMIT never heard that one ever..There are alot of comments to her post… People find it offensive and uncalled for…Yes it upset a lot of soap lovers….That’s the reason for all these comments…She was totally out of line… People should be careful how they words…They can be very hurtful…

Yes your entitled to your own opinion as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone’s feelings or offend’s you…………………You have to be careful what you say… She is wrong on all counts………………………Defending her you are condoning it…And that person thinks they didn’t say or do anything.. Hate is a strong word………………………………………………………………..

First of all-I love this site, it saved me when I found out OLTL & AMC were cancelled. And Michael Fairman is to die for gorgeous, just sayin’.

However, I do NOT love every character, every storyline, every day! Nobody does. Part of the fun of soaps is getting aggravated with stories/characters & venting about it (at least for me) I could strangle Carly on GH sometimes. I used to fast forward thru Spinelli/Maxie, they got on my last nerve. Some days I cannot stand Phyllis on Y&R. Sometimes it takes me a while to warm to a character & I love some more than others BUT I do not HATE any of these actors or characters.

I also have the sense to realize that even if I am not crazy about someone, there are others who love them. So why be hurtful in an already hurtful world? There are all kinds of ways to express your opinion-negative as well as positive without being mean.

If you truly “hate” a character/actor why even click on the darn story in the first place, just to write a “hateful” comment when you know good & well that most people on this site love the character/actor? I feel like we have been called to the principal’s office (by Michael) and it is embarrassing!

So sorry Michael for any disrespect to you or any other posters. I love this site & feel like these posters are my friends & I look forward to visiting with them every day.

Sorry Michael it won’t happen again………Hopefully the person who started this get’s the message too… That’s Debi who started it with her not so nice remarks..I will not post anymore remarks regarding that matter…… It won’t happen again on my end……..Everyone stop with the remarks too.. I am…Let’s focus on more positive comments..

I like Melissa Archer and want to see her on GH with John …

Sounds like a very fun group of actors – I’ll be watching! Happy our soap actors are getting a chance to play on other shows. Maybe this means Melissa Archer/Natalie won’t be coming to General Hospital to join Michael Eason/John McBain. Anyone know???

Last time John had a telephone conversation with Natalie on GH it didn’t sound like they were getting along very well being separated. I fear it is a prelude to their breakup with John staying in Port Charles and Natalie never joining him, but I have no reliable evidence.

I agree, David. I don’t feel that Melissa/Natalie will be coming to GH. They don’t seem to be getting along that well – as you said. If John loved Natalie and his son Liam that much, he would be going home to visit them more often. Also, I don’t remember John even asking Natalie how Liam was doing in that last phone call – does anyone else??? Thanks for your reply, David!!!

Keeping my fingers crossed that she’ll come to GH! She told Michael Fairman in an interview once – “She’d be open to it!” Hope she still is.

No, I didn’t hear John asking about Liam either. I am afraid the family of John, Natalie, and Liam died with OLTL, which is such a shame because they had so little time together. I would love Natalie/Melissa Archer joining John/Michael Easton at GH, but I suspect there are financial limits on how many actors can be employed.

I read the abc soap oprea and it said Natalie might pay Port Charles a visit..It’s not definite yet.. There’s a good possibilty it will happen…Don’t give up on Natalie & John getting together on GH…Read abc soap opera magazine…You will see what I’m talking about………………………………………

Hope Melissa comes over to GH. Fans waited so long for John and Natalie to finally connect!!!!

I aree with Cathy Trinque…………………………………….

Me too!

I strongly agree as well Jolie belong together on GH>

Yes JOLIE belongs on GH……

Agreed! Their fans deserve to see a united John, Natalie and Liam. After OLTL went dark I imagined they eloped to Atlantic City to make it official. I’d be happy if TPTB did that. I don’t need MA on a GH contract (although I’d love that), just a happy ending. I DO NOT want to see John end up with anyone else after waiting so long for their HEA!

I am anxious to see the movie but I also wish Melissa was on GH with Michael Easton

So do I !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should be very interesting..can’t wait for more info on it.

Wherever you are STAY. Please DONT come ot General Hospital. I will support you from a far…….

I do wish you the BEST in your endeavor’s, and should OLTL ever resume, I would LOVE to see you again as Natalie.

1loveabcsoaps

I welcome Melissa Archer (Natalie) if she should ever come to Port Charles to be with Micheal Easton (John) & with baby Liam………………I don’t think OLTL will ever resume!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I would look forward to seeing Melissa on GH if that would happen……………I miss OLTL and welcome them on GH……………………….Whoever they may be…..OLTL was the best soap in my book….OLTL was a heart-warming , emotional, they cared for one another.. Not many mobster stories on OLTL like GH does……..But GH is improving with those kind of stories….

You are so right Susan. I would love to see Natalie and John with Liam on GH. He would make a great police commissioner.

I agree John would make a great police commissioner !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great cast. So many interesting and talented people. It should be fun. Looking forward to seeing it.

What channel!?!?!?!

I love MA she is so awsome. I will support her no matter what she does. I can’t wait to see her movies. I hope TPTB realize what a fan base she really does have and want to see her on GH with John.

You sound like a loyal soap fan of OLTL………..So am I………………..

Ditto. Love Melissa Archer and the character Natalie. Looking forward to her movies. This movie and its cast sound awesome. I’ll watch.

I think Frank Valentini and Ron are cheeting the viewers by not having Natalie and Liam on GH. We didn’t get a reunion that we wanted until the end of OLTL and now they are not together. I hope they bring them together soon or it will take a lot away from John Mcbains character, “in my opinion.”

I agree w/ Vanessa…………………..They left us up in the air with that story ..In my opinion they left a lot of the stories on OLTL’s last epoisode.. They left you wanting MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Half done stories which should have continued to fill in the gaps……………….I guess the writers did their best………………………Again it still makes me want more … It wasn’t a ending in a way it was a beginning………..

Miss John and Natalie, BIGTIME. Hope MA comes to GH, it would be the best news, my soap world would be complete.

I agree with Emily……………………Die hard OLTL fan FOREVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am writing to Frank V and Ron C to tell them both how I feel not that it will mean much because we have to remember what network they work for. I do think Melissa will be great in the movie.

Good luck writing your letter to Frank V. & Ron C…………

Can’t wait for this movie because Melissa and David are in it , I know it will be great because they are both great actors. Even though we miss you on OLTL,it will be nice to see you both in a movie .

I would like to see MA’s Natalie on GH. It doesn’t have to be a contract role. But PLEASE DO NOT BREAK UP JOLIE family. The OLTL fans deserve their happy ending.

Spoiler Alert: Spoilers indicate Melissa Archer will appear on GH for a limited, non-contractual appearance. Since she has stated that she is not interested in doing another soap, I would ASSUME that she will be there to resolve the relationship with John, one way or another. Michael Easton only has a 6 month contract – unless it is extended until the January 2013 bitter end. No questions – that’s all I know. You can find the information online at numerous spoiler sites.

I am happy for Melissa Archer’s post-soap success.

I would watch Tom Pelphrey read the phone book….he is so talented and I cannot wait for the film to come out.

Read the ABC soap digest the other day..And there is a possilblity Natalie will come to Port Charles for a visit…It’s not definite yet…The writers wan to do it in a certain way if it happens.. That is what I read…………….John was on the phone with Natalie the other day but had to leave a message ..Didn’t talk to her personally…He said he didn’t want to lose her & to please call him back asap……………………I hope things work out and Natalie comes to Port Charles real soon….John needs is better half with him & don’t forget baby Liam…………………………………………………………………………………..

I miss Melissa so much. I think Frank Valentini is nuts not to bring
her to GH. She has so much charisma, beauty and energy and I’d definately
watch GH if they brought her aboard. She & Tom P. look gorgeous together.

Miss Melissa and Natalie. I think when John says he breaks up with Natalie, I’m probably going to just be done with GH. I have zero interest in John, Sam, Jason and Liz or whatever they’re trying to do or even in the vendetta he has put over his family. John couldn’t be a family man for 5 minutes.

Tom Pelphrey Takes on The Role of ‘Jesus Christ’ with Y&R’s Courtney Hope as ‘Mary’ in New Podcast Series

Published

Since first making a name for himself as Reva’s (Kim Zimmer) son, Jonathan Randall on Guiding Light, Tom Pelphrey’s (ex-ATWT and GL) post-soap career has featured many complex and dark roles in television and motion pictures. Now comes perhaps, Pelphrey’s most stunning role when he will play Jesus Christ in a new four–part audio series podcast, called The Christ.

The series is from the Faith Podcast Network who will be releasing the series for Easter. It is being billed as “an audio epic and the first ever full-scale audio dramatization of Jesus’ life across four immersive episodes using cinematic-quality sound, music and performances.” The podcast series will feature more than 100 different characters and can be heard at TheChristPodcast.com

Joining The Ozark and Task star in the cast are some other high-profile Hollywood names including: David Ovelowo as Pontius Pilot, Paul Walter Hauser as John the Baptist, Patricia Heaton as the host and John Rhys-Davies as the narrator. In addition, none other than The Young and the Restless, Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra) also is featured as Mary, the mother of Jesus.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “The Christ comes from a creative team that includes writer and director Paul Cuschieri, co-director and producer Mark Ramsey and producer Jim Young.” The series drops during Holy Week, with the first episode debuting on March 30. A new episode will be released each day through April 2, scheduled accordingly so that the entire series will be available by Good Friday on April 3.

The official logline says The Christ will cover “the life, death and legacy of Jesus of Nazareth. Through betrayal, courage, suffering and hope, the series explores how one man’s story reshaped history — and redefined love, authority and sacrifice.”

Pelphrey who announced he has 12-years of sobriety back in 2025, shared why this project was of importance to him, “Sharing about sobriety and faith are so personal to me, and it means so much to me. The other thing you notice is when people are sharing things, you could say a word to a thousand people, and a thousand people hear a different version of that word. In all humility, to share something that matters to you, you first have to come to an understanding and acceptance that you’re surrendering how it’s going to be heard or what it means to anyone listening. You have no control over it. That’s been an amazing process to go through.”

So, what do you think of Tom Pelphrey playing the audio version of Jesus Christ and Courtney Hope playing Mary, Mother of Jesus? Excited to hear the story of Christ via this podcast series? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

‘Guiding Light’s’ Kim Zimmer Reflects on Brilliant Scenes with Tom Pelphrey After Initially Telling Producers, ‘Hire Any of Them But the Last Guy’

Published

on

By

Throughout its 57-year run on daytime, Guiding Light introduced television audiences to many actor who would go on to have major careers in motion pictures, primetime television and the stage. One such is the incredible Tom Pelphrey (Task, Mank, Ozark, Outer Range, et al.), who from the minute he debuted on the CBS soap took soap viewers by storm for his raw, relatable and emotional turn as Reva (Kim Zimmer) and Prince Richard Winslow’s (Bradley Cole) son, Jonathan Randall.

In the complicated storyline, Jonathan was conceived and born while Reva was suffering from amnesia and believing herself to be Princess Catherine while living in San Cristobel. As Jonathan grew up his life was torn apart making him a vengeful, menacing young man, who under it all was deeply wounded and who felt abandoned and forgot about.

Kim Zimmer won four Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Reva Shayne, while Tom Pelphrey took home two Daytime Emmys for the Outstanding Younger Actor in a Daytime Drama Series for his performance. On-screen, together, they were a riveting pairing which included many a tense scene including when Jonathan choked out Reva.

Photo: JPI

During last week’s Guiding Light reunion livestream with Zimmer, Bradley Cole (ex-Richard and Jeffrey, GL) and Laura Wright (ex-Cassie, GL, now Carly, GH) on the You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel, the three actors reminisced about their time together as romantic pairings: Reva/Richard, Cassie/Richard, Reva/Jeffrey etc, but also talked about many of their co-stars and their deeply personal feelings of what Guiding Light meant to all of them.

REVA AND JONATHAN WERE SOAP OPERA GOLD

Though the years, it’s been no secret that Zimmer, did not initially want Tom Pelphrey cast as her son, because as she admitted, in the audition process with her, she was scared of him based on the power of his performance in the scene.

Kim recalled, “I went in (to the producers) right after I auditioned like seven guys, and I said, ‘Hire any of them, but the last guy.’ And they all looked at me like I had six heads, because they had already decided they were going to cast him. And then when I said that, they were like, ‘we’re definitely going to cast him now! That’s the feeling they wanted. They knew he scared me.”

The beloved GL heroine said that once she began working in a scene with Pelphrey, all was A-OK! “It was almost immediate once we started really working together, and I could trust the story,” shared Kim. “It was such a bizarre story that I was being given, again (also referencing Reva’s Clone story as the other), that I was hesitant about that. But once we started really working together, there was no question that they had made the right decision.”

In fact, fans loved Reva and Jonathan so much, they would vote them top couple as Kim remembers, “And, you know, in the soap magazines, we got voted, ‘Best couple,’ and we weren’t a love couple. We were a mother and son. That was like the biggest compliment to me –  we’d get nominated as ‘Outstanding Couple.’

ONE OF THE FINEST ACTORS IN THE HISTORY OF GUIDING LIGHT

Kim’s real-life son, Jake Weary has also made quite the name for himself in TV and motion pictures and Pelphrey also bonded many years ago: “When my son was living in LA, he and Jake would hang out together. They had mutual friends and they got to know each other pretty well, which I love. Jake actually asked me recently if I had any favorite Guiding Light scenes that I could remember. And I said, ‘Anything with HB (Larry Gates), Billy Lewis (Jordan Clarke) and Tom Pelphrey.

During the livestream, Laura Wright, who worked in many scenes with Pelphrey, added, “In my opinion, Tom took the bar and he raised it. Not just in talent because he had that, but Tom inspired you. He made you want to do like that, and he wanted you to be as great. He just was all around a great guy to work with.”

In case you missed it,  you can check out the Guiding Light live reunion with Kim, Bradley and Laura, followed by some incredible scenes between Tom and Kim as Jonathan and Reva.

Then, let us know, do you think Reva and Jonathan as played by Kim Zimmer and Tom Pelphrey, were the most dynamic mother/son duo all-time on the soaps? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

‘Guiding Light’ Reunion: Kim Zimmer, Bradley Cole and Laura Wright to Chat Live!

Published

on

By

In a very special livestream reunion; three of the former stars of the legendary Guiding Light, who’s on-screen lives were forever intertwined, will visit the Michael Fairman Channel on Friday, January 30 beginning at 7pm ET/4pm PT.

Look for GL icon and four-time Daytime Emmy winner, Kim Zimmer (ex-Reva Shayne), Bradley Cole (ex-Prince Richard Winslow and Jeffrey O’Neill and ex-Warren Bauer, GH), and Daytime Emmy winner Laura Wright (ex-Cassie Layne, now Carly Spencer on GH) to reminisce about their time together and memories of the daytime drama that lasted an astounding 57 years on television and counting radio, 72 years.

Guiding Light fans will recall, Bradley’s first run as Richard and his royal wedding to Cassie, to returning as a Jeffrey O’Neill, and how it caused tension between sisters, Reva and Cassie, and much more.

Photo: JPI

As viewers know, Kim Zimmer played the iconic role of Reva Shayne from 1983–1990 and from 1995–2009. Bradley Cole portrayed Prince Richard Winslow from 1999- 2002, and after the character was killed-off, he returned as Jeffrey O’Neill, a lawyer-turned-special agent, who was with the series from 2003-2009. As the show went off the air for the last time in the September 18, 2009 finale, Jeffrey was presumed dead. Then, in 2010, Cole came to General Hospital to take on the short-term but important run of Warren Bauer, who was believed to have abused his son, Kiefer Bauer.

Laura Wright played Reva’s sister Cassie Layne in a stunning reveal in 1999, and stayed with the series until 2005, before moving to General Hospital later that year to take on the role of Carly Corinthos, now going by Carly Spencer and the rest for Wright is as they say, history.

Not only will the GL alums and stars chat about their time on the soap, but will bring you up-to-date on their lives now. First, Bradley has a new album out entitled Desert Dreams. The 12 track project pays a musical tribute to Cole’s upbringing in Los Angeles and the classic rock, pop, and south-of-the-border influences of the ’60s and ’70s that shaped his musical foundation. Desert Dreams blends a classic rock vibe with nostalgic country and a modern Americana sensibility, highlighting Cole’s clear storytelling and skillful melodic songwriting.

Photo: JPI

Meanwhile, Laura Wright continues to star on ABC’s General Hospital whereas Carly Spencer she is embroiled in a major storyline with Carly’s current love interest WSB Port Charles Bureau Chief, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna). After finding out he enlisted her daughter, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) to be a WSB spy, she believes the guy is bad news, or does she? Laura continues her project Sacred Circle where “women pause, breathe, and reconnect with ourselves — and with each other.”

Then, there is GL icon, Kim Zimmer. She will soon be seen in an upcoming production of  Driving Miss Daisy, in the role Daisy at the Cape Fear Regional Theatre in Fayetteville, NC, running from March 19 to April 4, 2026. Last year, Kim starred in the play The Trip to Bountiful at Theatre Raleigh. Back in 2024, Zimmer went public with her breast cancer diagnosis and that she had undergone treatment. She is also the proud mom to TV and film, actor Jake Weary.

If you cannot be with us in the live chat, but have a question or comment you would like posed to Kim, Bradley or Laura, make sure to drop it in the comment section below, and we just might ask it during the live broadcast.

Now below, also check out the Guiding Light profiler with clips from Bradley Cole’s run as Jeffrey O’Neil and how the character was involved with Reva and Cassie and more.

So, excited to see Kim, Bradley and Laura reminiscing about their time on Guiding Light and more? Let us know via the comment section!
