Tyler Christopher Post Shares Actor ‘Deserved to Pass With Dignity’ Amid ‘False’ and ‘Disrespectful’ Fundraising Attempts
As the daytime world, including his friends and former co-stars continue to the mourn the loss of Daytime Emmy-winner, Tyler Christopher (ex-Nikolas, General Hospital, ex-Stefan, Days of our Lives), rumors are needing to be debunked.
According to a post on Friday via Tyler’s official Instagram, fundraising pleas that have shown up online that claim to be needed to help with funeral expenses for the late actor, or to help his two children that he leaves behind, are strictly against Tyler’s wishes.
Tyler’s friend, April, who six days earlier came forth and posted a touching remembrance of the talented actor, is believed to be the person who wrote this post to clarify how Christopher left this world, and it is not at all as some would like to believe or how they would like to portray him.

The post began, “I feel compelled to respond to the growing narrative around Tyler mostly in fundraising pleas from people who had not spoken to him in almost 3 years. Tyler was an intelligent, responsible fully independent man. In the time he lived in San Diego he completed 5 film projects. He wrote 2 published articles and was interviewed 6 times. He travelled regularly to Indiana to see his children who he had college savings accounts for. He left a valid will with all of his wishes. He had life insurance specifically purchased to pay for the burial plan he had chosen. He lived in a meticulously clean apartment that he decorated. He had health and dental insurance. He had credit cards. He filed and paid his taxes on time. He had the love of a dog. He attended church and tithed regularly. He attended numerous charity events and was a mental health advocate.”

It went on to explain,”The narrative that Tyler left this world without proper planning is completely false and disrespectful. Any attempts to fundraiser on his behalf either for funeral expenses or his children would be against his wishes and are not authorized by his estate. Tyler deserved to pass with dignity.”
Tyler passed away on October 31st at the age of 50-years-old, and as we have been reporting, touching remembrances of love and respect for the actor has been just so heart-tugging to read, as they have been shared from all corners of his extended soap opera family, then and now.
What do you think about this latest post on how Tyler left this world, and how any attempts at fundraising are not authorized by his estate, and how he should be remembered with dignity? Comment below.

I watched Tyler as an actor and on Maurice Benard’s State of Mind. I was devastated by his passing because he seemed to be doing better and I was rooting for him. It shouldn’t be hard to find out who was fraudulently soliciting donations.
I would like to hear a full account his family’s side of the story. I wonder who was the beneficiary of his life insurance he supposedly had!
Why? it’s none of your business. Stop messing with the dead. You’re a fan.
Can’t help but wonder why it is anyone’s business other than his family members
NOYB
nowing someone their last 3 years of their life seems pretty significant. Has anyone read the Indiana court documents? Why has what should be a standard final accounting which is due 30 days after a guardianship is lifted become a three year court battle? Why is Disability Rights Indiana involved? People take advantage of family members all the time. I don’t think the courts would keep this going if there was nothing going on. I’m waiting on a Bloomberg follow up that gives us some resolution.
So does anyone else feel cheated that his sister collected over $20,000 for his funeral costs on the memorial website and now she is suing his estate for the funeral costs which was only $9000!!!! Where did all of the rest of the money his fans donated go? Why are they suing his estate when they asked us to pay for his funeral because they were too poor?
Whoever is posting on Tyler’s account really should stop, because it’s becoming increasingly uncomfortable and unfortunate.
agree 100%
This “friend” who is writing on his instagram account from what we are reading only knew him for a couple years. I would also like to hear from his family who knew him his entire life. Also instagram and facebook needs to shut down these pags so nothing else can be posted.
Again, why do people feel his family owes the public anything?
♀️♀️♀️ these people just don’t get it, I’m with you Brian
It’s good to hear he was prepared with a will and arrangements. This is how people should do it and not ask people for money.
Why is it that his sister Lisa is saying that “the Baker family is paying for his funeral services” but his sister Susan, the one who stole from him, has posted a funeral donation page? Are the Bakers paying or are they fundraising to pay? Not the same thing.
I think the answer is all three. They collected money from his fans for his funeral. His sister collected money from his friends and family to pay for the funeral. And now they are suing his estate for the cost of the funeral. Sounds like they are making money off their dead brother.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
