Days of our Lives icon, Deidre Hall (Marlena) along with the newest member to the DAYS family, Daytime Emmy winner, Tyler Christopher (Stefan) chatted it up with TV Insider during the recent NBC Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour, and a short video has been posted.

In it, Deidre and Tyler talk about the show’s writing under head writer Ron Carlivati, just how big of a baddie is Stefan O. DiMera, and the importance of social media and engaging with the viewers of DAYS about episodes, scenes, etc.

Currently in story, Marlena is starting to figure out something is off with her hubby John (Drake Hogestyn), and Stefan clearly has the “hots” for Abigail (Marci Miller) his half-brother’s wife.  All in a day in the life of the residents of Salem, right?

Check out what Deidre and Tyler shared after the jump.  Then let us know what you hope happens on-screen for Marlena in story, and for Stefan in story, via the comment section below.

It was nice hearing the praises for Ron C. He so well deserves it for turning the show around and making it a must watch show. Tyler has fit so perfectly on the show. Just hope Vivian sticks around. And Marlena and John are front and center again with a story. The most improved soap this year!

outside of these two wonderful beings : TWO THINGS

1. even i’m believing that Eli is the biological father. even if.. he told mom Valerie that Lani is two months along.. therefore it can’t be his. do I think JJ would accept this child… absolutely. I love Lani.

2. I keep asking myself… : WHY am I so choked up about Steve ( Patch ) Johnson being poisoned ???? by John… or as @Celia has mentioned.. the Pawn.. which may make sense ??? HELP… i’m sobbing about this

Because we love their previous relationship as partners.

And, of course, we are choked up because we love the character of Patch so much–and love Kayla. And Stephen and Mary Beth care so very much about keeping the characters faithful for the audience. They don’t ever thumb their noses at their fan, either. Good on them!

the one thought that keeps surfacing….

“That’s Kayla Husband ” as i’m losing it. and yes… that decades true love that surfaces with… all the audience….

hey I just got confirmation… that we’re right

@Ray on another thread… confirms this is his favorite story line.

it’s hang on

that’s a true definition for serial in top form

I watched Days for a couple months in the Fall when I was hanging out with my mom regularly in the afternoon (it’s her show) and was happily impressed. I don’t have the time now and it’s not my show (General Hospital is but is in the deep recesses of horrible) so I’m not going to make time for it but I do recommend that soap fans support it in general because it’s probably the best soap on TV right now (and I say that without knowing much about Y&R and B&B.) If Days becomes popular then the other soaps… Read more »

I love Tyler from back in The Lying Games and GH. As far as the poster me said, about him playing the same character type. I like that type, strong, serious, mysterious, some bad, some good, and a lot sexy. What more could you ask for?

I’m not really enjoying Tyler’s acting. I don’t think it is very good and it surprises me that he won an Emmy.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Ciara Saves Baby Bo with Assist from Heavenly Bo; Tripp Shifts Into Satan & Crashes Through Window

May Sweeps are in full bloom, and on Monday’s episode of Days of our Lives, the supernatural was front and center, and what Salemites hope will now and forever, put Satan behind them once and for all.

In story, Ciara (Victoria Konefal) is one tough mama. She and Ben (Rob Scott Wilson) track down AllDevil (Lindsay Arnold) and her dastardly partner in crime, Charlie Dale (another guest return of Emmy-winner Mike Manning), as the devil starts the Ceremony of Transference to make their baby a mini-Satan. However, AllDevil has a plan to keep Cin at bay. She uses a protective pentagram wall, and electrocutes Ben from penetrating it.  Then, when Ciara has to save her baby, a white light comes upon her, and she is able to push through the barrier, push out Satan, and regain her baby boy in her arms.

Tripp (Lucas Adams) arrives on the scene and clunks Charlie over the head with a baseball bat before he tries to kill Ben. When Ben comes to and meets his young son, “Bo”, Ciara tells Tripp that AllDevil is headed to St. Luke’s where he and Johnny (Carson Boatman), who was also at the scene, head off to find her.

At University Hospital, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) is going to get Baby “Bo” checked out as Ben and Ciara spend time with their little one in the hospital room. All of a sudden, a white light appears and Ciara’s dad, Bo Brady (the return of Peter Reckell) comes through the light. Both Ben and Ciara see the iconic Bo, and Ciara tells her dad to meet his grandson, and thanks him for saving the day at the cemetery.

Inside the church, while upstairs, AllDevil flashes back to when Satan was inhabiting Marlena (Deidre Hall) and set fire to the place of worship 25 years ago, and fans get the actual clip of the classic moment in DAYS history. Just then, Tripp and Johnny find Satan upstairs ready to torch the place. Johnny gets a good ole’ toss across the room, leaving Tripp to fend off the devil.

But helps is on the way as Father Eric (Greg Vaughan), John and Marlena (Deidre Hall) are there to save the day; as they begin an exorcism, of sorts. In defiance, we see AllDevil begin to crack Allie’s neck as everyone looks on in horror. Tripp admitting his love for Allie, tells the devil to come into him and let Allie go.  The shift happens as Tripp is now the devil, and in order to fight off hurting Allie or anyone, selflessly jumps out the church window and looks in dire straits.

So, what did you think of this climatic episode of Days of our Lives, with more to come with the return of Bo Brady this week? Comment below.
