Look who’s headed back to daytime? Vincent Irizarry (known for his roles as Lujack and then Nick on GL, Dr. David Hayward on AMC, David Chow on Y&R, and Deimos on DAYS) is now headed to The Bold and the Beautiful to take on the recurring role of Dr. Jordan Armstrong.

According to TV Insider who broke the news on Tuesday the role will be recurring.    In a post on his Instagram, Irizarry expressed:  “Overjoyed to be heading to the B&B runway.”

Look for Vincent to make his BOLD debut on the Monday, August 26th episode of the CBS Daytime drama series,

While the story is under wraps, the character of Dr. Armstrong reportedly will play a pivotal role in the baby Beth/baby Phoebe storyline once it takes a dramatic turn and twist.

In an interview with TV Insider on his next soap role on B&B, Vincent related: “I’m looking forward again to working with Thorsten Kaye (Ridge), who I worked with on All My Children. ”

So, excited to see Vincent back on the soaps and on B&B? Comment below.

Hopefully this casting move signifies that the end of the “Phoebeth” story is coming, because it’s been dragged out for far too long.

And once B&B stops writing story for Vincent, like they eventually do for all their newest powerhouse actors, GH should snatch him up and bring David Hayward to Port Charles. Now that Hayden is back in town and will no doubt cause drama for Finn and Anna, the writers at GH should capitalize on it and bring Anna’s ex to town. The hospital needs new doctors anyway, and how great would it be to see David and Obrecht conspiring together?

I totally agree!

Jimmy
Glad someone agrees with me. I said those exact words months ago, when he was killed off on DOOL.

After the Project Orifice debacle, there’s not a snowball’s chance in my front yard that David Hayward could ever be taken seriously as a doctor at GH. I don’t watch B&B but I thought Vincent had a good run as the long lost Kiriakis brother on Days (who ironically are doing their own ripoff of the Project Orifice mess lately, which thankfully he was not involved in)

Damn! Vincent deserves better than B&B…the worst soap on air!
I made the mistake of sticking with B&B when Thorsten Kaye came on board, and he’s no longer a favorite.
I won’t make that mistake again with VI! I want to continue liking him.

Better there than at GH…I’m so tired of recycled ABC soap actors ending up in Port Charles!

I love this actor but nobody can reduce this soap

Rescue oops

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS. Finally, this secret is about to blow. I have a theory that Flo is going to get pregnant and this man will be her Dr. Then it will come to light that this is her first pregnancy, and she DID NOT birth Phoebe/Beth. Then it all starts to unravel. I hope he sticks around. He would SIZZLE with Katherine Kelly Lang. Bridge is prolly going to go bust after this secret is blown. I am sure Bell is going to give Thomas a soap brain tumor to excuse his behavior but there is NO WAY Brooke will forgive Thomas for not telling that he knew. Taylor will force Ridge’s hand to side with Thomas and Brooke and Ridge will breakup(for now). Enter Jordan. Or he can be paired with Katie, Quinn or Donna! I am excited!

Het Now!
That guy is handsome..
I like looking at him
so– why didn’t GH bring him in?

Wow! An all-time favorite in my household! Looking forward to this!

Be still my heart! He’s my favorite soap hunk of all time. I adore him, and he’s an amazing actor. I hope that B&B doesn’t waste him the way Y&R did. If he doesn’t have a permanent leading role on B&B (unlikely), then I do wish that Y&R or GH would hire him. He could easily play a new character on Y&R. What a mess they made of his former character, David Chow. He had three different names, and he is definitely NOT Chinese looking!
Dr Helen Ruth’s Entertainment Board on Delphi

OH MY WORD!!! Looking at his gorgeous face reminds me how much I miss GL! 🙁

Hopefully we’ll wrap up this storyline soon. Please and thank you.

Shelly
Oh he was good on Gl, and Santa Barbara, and AMC, and DOOL, Y&R, not so much, as Dr.Helen Ruth said, he was totally wasted there.

Like VI will definitely give BB a look

Glad for Vincent Irrizarry and I truly hope that Brad Bell gives him a story worthy of his talents = DON’T WASTE HIM!

What’s the point of B&B hiring veteran, talented soap actors like Irizazzy if it never gives them a decent plot and never bothers to use them for more than 5 episodes?

I have always like Irizazzy but not even a (fleeting) appearance by him on B&B could entice me to watch that show. Frustrated by the continuous poor quality of the writing and the rehashing of love triangles, I gave up on B&B over a decade ago. Basically, when Darlene Conley (Sally Spectra) died, I walked.

I hear ya!

I survived a little longer, viewing at least occasionally until Stephanie died and Susan Flannery left, but without Stephanie’s somewhat restraining presence on the nonsense going on around her, I’ve largely found the show unwatchable, and nothing I’ve seen on here has led me to regret abandoning it. It just seems like plot-driven nonsense on top of plot-driven nonsense. I like some of the actors a lot, notably Heather Tom, but given what they’re being asked to play on screen, it’s no real sacrifice not to watch them have to fight their way through trying to make it believable. (Because it isn’t.) Still, I wish Mr. Irizarry the best. Maybe he’ll triumph over the usual pattern on B&B and actually get some work out of this gig.

I might just go back to watching b&b just to see him…wish he joined gh instead!
