Wally Kurth Back To Work On General Hospital!

Looks like the return of Ned Ashton went very well during the death of Edward Quartermaine episodes …  so much so that actor Wally Kurth is back at General Hospital today taping new episodes as Tracy Q’s son.  Will Ned try to take total control of ELQ?

As soapers know, Kurth is also currently seen on Days of our Lives playing Sonny’s (Freddie Smith) dad, Justin Kiriakis, so it will be interesting to see how things pan out.

The news was first reported today by Soap Opera Uncensored and then, according to Soap Opera Digest, later confirmed by ABC that Kurth is indeed back in Port Charles right now!

So would you like to see Wally back full-time on GH? Or, do you want him in Salem on DAYS? Or both shows,  if things could be worked out? Weigh-in!

I want him on both shows I mean we hardly see him on #Days but I like him better as Justin BUT I was also hoping to see him be there to defend Tracy because everyone doesn’t like her but I do:(

I like him on Days, but if they don’t give him a storyline, then he should definitely jump to GH.

If he can get good work at GH, more power to him. BUT … I don’t want him to leave as Justin! Hope he can pull off both. I mean it’s not like he’s got an actual SL on Days, but I don’t want to see his character go, either. He should be able to do both, I’d think.

Ned needs to come back to GH. There’s a reason I stopped watching Days all those years ago. Days of our Lives is a boring soap, and to tell ya the truth, I’m actually surprised it’s still on the air.

I agree!

I adore him, so I’d love to see him on GH.

Great news that they are giving us more Wally on GH. He definitely should be back on GH. COnsidering Days has him on screen like once every few months, I would much prefer him back on GH full time

Too many actors on the show with too little to do.

I agree with you. GH can’t just bring every available soap star onto the canvas; too many actors, no stories for them.

So, so, so happy about this!!

I want him to stay @DAYS.

I <3 Wally and would be great to see him back on GH more! If he coudl do both why not? I hope the networks don't prevent that from happening. I don't watch DOOL any more, but did PLEASE keep Wally on GH!

Love that he is back… keep him around for awhile and let’s bring Dylan/Dillion back too! Good move ABC! Maybe someone over this listening to us on this site… thnak you again Michael for your fabulous site and content… we love you Michae!!!

Would Love to see him back on GH and @ ELQ! How about Dillion next?

I just love that they are putting the Quartermain family back together as much as they can.

I’m not greedy! I will take what I can get. 🙂

Don’t need him on gh

agreed!!

i think he can do both (recurring) , unless someone offers him a contract! DAYS is taped so many months ahead and if Wally is available. I like that GH is an Option. Pretty cool, on duelling networks and shows that air at the same time in some markets.

I love me some Wally Kurth. One of the shows needs to keep him and keep him busy!

Days is the worst soap (not sure how i still watch) they don’t utilize him. He needs to back on GH!!

Oye! I’d be happy for him, doing both… he’s that ,,, likeable… ! my first thought, was to my DAYS allegiance…. he has to stay on DAYS…

but, i enjoyed his scenes with Tracy… this will establish the quartermaines…. I too, thought, that with AJ… we’d have more scenes with Monica and Tracy… but, not so much? so, hopefully, Ned and Tracy and Monica and AJ can having mother/son and family scenes….

Great, good to see Ned back! Guess he’ll be making some EXTRA money while he is doing both gigs…

Yah for Wally Kurth double thumb up

It’s always to see Wally and Jane Elliott together since they have great chemistry.

Always a fan of Wally Kurth. DOOL doesn’t use him enough and I LOVED seeing him back as Ned on GH. Maybe for the fans sake he can be recurring on both shows. GO WALLY!

So thrilled to hear that Wally is back at GH taping. Considering Days isn’t using him that much I am thrilled GH was able to use him.. More Ned and Justin for that matter.

Not upset by this; GH seems to give Wally material to work with. However, I hope he’s able to continue doing both GH and DAYS. He’s recurring on DAYS so I don’t see why he can’t be recurring on GH and they can share the actor.

I would definetely like to see him in Port Charles! I remember him from years ago on Gh. In those leather pants(Eddie Maine) the rock singer.

It would be good in this day and age for soaps to be less proprietary about their recurring characters/actors. We’re all in this together! So if they don’t have the money or storyline to put Justin OR Ned front and center full time on either show, then let’s continue using Kurth on both. It may even cause fans of one show to check out the other and they are not timeslot competitors. We’re all for one and one for all right now. This is about survival, so make the best show possible!

No reason why he couldn’t do both (if Sony & ABC allow it). As long as he isn’t on contract with either show I see nothing wrong with it. Wally was my first guy crush when he joined Days as Justin. Interestingly he was having an affair with Anjelica Deveraux who was played by Jane Elliot who is now he mama Tracy on GH. Wally is also very nice and I met him and Judi Evans in LA at a Days event.

Finally! We need him at GH. The Quartermaines need a comeback and Ned is the man for the job.

I think if he jumps between the two it’s oK, but GH has way too many actors that don’t have storyines so we can’t just keep filling up the canvas because so & so is available. As much as we love all these actors – GH can’t support them all.

Days has no clue what to do with the actors they DO have so he’s definitely wasting his time over there.

glad to see him return for hopefully a longer run…. he’s much better at battling AJ than Tracy, which would bring more of the Q’s storyline back to play… and he had interactions with Sonny and of course Alexis and Monica

I’d like to see him work both shows if he can work it out. DAYS tape 3 months ahead. So, it would be possible to see on both shows the same day.

I love the idea of Wally coming back to GH! The Quartermaines need Ned, and DOOL doesn’t seem to give Justin much to do.

I think Wally Kurth, is better of having a contract, to both shows. And when one of those shows, lets him go then he can jump to the, other show. If he’s contract on Days of our lives, is up then he can jump to General Hospital.

I never really cared for the Justin character on Days Of Our Lives. W.K. can go back to General Hospital for all I care.

I know he can do both parts. He is an amizing actor and I like seeing him in both of them.

i would like to see wally kurth back on dool
