On Monday, the three-part episode debut of a concept for a new comedy series,Viral bowed on the shows official website.

Viral stars One Life to Live and Days of our Lives, Melissa Archer (Ex-Natalie and Serena) and her good friend and former One Life cast mate, Jessica Morris (Ex-Jen)!

The premise: What happens when one outrageous moment in your life is caught on camera, and literally becomes an overnight social media sensation without your knowledge?  That is the plight that Kat (Melissa Archer) and Jackie (Jessica Morris) find themselves in when the two young women are kicked out of a bar, and then realize they desperately need to go back in to use the bathroom.  After being refused re-entry these two drunk gals need to take matters into their own hands.  But, what they didn’t expect is that two drunk guys catch them, decide to film it, and spend all night auto-tuning the moment, and turning it into a video!  When the girls wake-up, they are in for the shock of their lives to see that their indiscretion has gone viral.

The series is executive produced by the Steel Penny Productions team of: Melissa Archer, Sonia Blangiardo, Teresa Cicala, Brandon Goins, and Jessica Morris. “Viral” is co-written by Blangiardo and Goins, with Blangiardo as director (Tainted Dreams, All My Children, As the World Turns, Days of our Lives, and General Hospital).  Teresa Cicala serves as editor, with Rod Portier as Director of Photography, and Michael Fairman as Creative Consultant.

“Steel Penny Productions is very excited about releasing its first collaborative project.  “Viral” is fresh, topical, funny, and most of all, has heart,” says series co-executive producer, co-writer, and Emmy-Award winning director Sonia Blangiardo.  “With everyone looking for their five minutes of fame nowadays, ‘Viral’ gives a comedic look inside both the possible risk and reward of actually getting what you wish for.”

The cast of the show also includes:  Brandon Goins as Teddy, Sean Carrigan (The Young and the Restless) as Dave, and Barry Brisco as Pierre, and features: Rob Scott Wilson (All My Children and Days of our Lives), Eric Nelsen (All My Children and The Bay), and David Harris.

Love this and both these ladies are great and refreshing!! Their comedic timing is wonderful

Would love to see Melissa on our screens. Clever and funny series…well done ladies.

Great fun, now let’s work toward reuniting Easton and Archer onscreen!

YES!!!

Yes, Yes.

These videos are hysterical. Melissa Archer’s comic timing is wonderful. Everyone is just terrific. I can’t wait to see where the story goes next.

This is hilarious! Can’t wait to see more!!!!!

Surprisingly entertaining. Melissa is very funny.

This is so funny! I love how it shows how funny Melissa Archer is and it is so much better than her Days character. She was born to do comedy. I love the two together also. I agree with the comment about their timing together. They are funny and great together! Hope there is more to come!

Funny, contemporary story. Archer & Morris were great! Wish them great success with this project and hopefully more to come.

I echo those who are wanting an Archer/Easton pairing on their screens. One of my top favorite soap couples.

Yes this is very funny! Melissa’s lines are great. Yes an onscreen pairing of Archer and Easton would be fabulous!

I was pleasantly surprised. I admit the thought of two chicks getting caught peeing in the alley was not my idea of good entertainment. But I had to check it out and I was laughing over and over again. I watched it several times and sent it to friends. Melissa is a natural and she and Jessica have wonderful chemistry; they play off each other welll; just like they did on OLTL. And the quality of the series was so good; I was so impressed. She has a natural comedic dynamic. I saw some of that in her as Natalie but it’s nice to see her with out all the drama. I can’t wait to see more!

It wasn’t fun or funny. I find it very distasteful. I hope they come up with a different project than this. I wish Melissa Archer well in her career, but this project is not my “cup of tea”.

Not a fab if this at all.

Looking forward to more!!!

I THINK SHE IS GOING TO BE CLAUDETTE ON GH!!!!!! I’BE HEARD QUITE A FEW THINGS THAT MAKE IT SEEM VERRRRY PLAUSIBLE FOR IT TOO HAPPEN!!!

Nadia Bjorlin Confirms She Was Asked to Return to ‘Days of Our Lives’ as Chloe Lane But Turned Down the Offer (Exclusive)

Nadia Bjorlin

Nadia Bjorlin opened up during a livestream conversation promoting her new film Veronica & Julian about a hot button topic with Days of Our Lives fan these days – the status of the character of Chloe Lane; a part which Bjorlin played on and off for 25 years and since 1999.

The actress participated in a chat on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel on Monday, August 31 with her Veronica & Julian co-star and former DAYS star Kyler Pettis (ex-Theo Carver).

In this exclusive moment from the interview, Bjorlin was asked if return as Chloe was in the cards, amid speculation on social media that General Hospital alum, Sofia Mattsson (ex-Sasha Gilmore) is rumored to have taken over the part of Chloe, although unconfirmed by Days of Our Lives. Nadia then revealed she was indeed asked to return to the Peacock streaming soap opera.

A HEAVY HEART AND LOGISTICS

“What I can confirm is they did ask me, but logistically it just didn’t make sense and with TV, budgets and whatnot (these days), it didn’t make any sense, and I said ‘no,” expressed Bjorlin. Presently, Nadia lives with her husband Grant Turnbull and their two children in Ireland. In fact, Bjorlin was participating in the indie film promotional chat from Ireland on Monday.

In addition, Nadia also shared that it was with a heavy heart she turned down a chance to come back to Salem, adding, “It hurt my heart to have to say ‘no.’ So, I guess I can confirm that it will not be me playing Chloe, if there’s a Chloe that comes back.”

As for Sofia Mattsson, she joined the cast in March of this year in an undisclosed role, and with DAYS tape schedule almost 10-11 months in advance of streaming new episodes, it would appear for now, she won’t be seen on-screen until early 2027. The mystery of if she is indeed playing a recast Chloe, Abigail, or a new character, continues.

FOND MEMORIES OF SALEM

Moving forward with her life post-Chloe, Bjorlin acknowledged to her longtime fans that she is alright with her decision. “I guess, it’s just sort of a different chapter of my life. I wish another actor all the best, obviously, and whatnot if that was their (Days of our Lives) decision. It’s okay. I’m okay, because they did ask me and I said ‘no.'”

Knowing at least the producers of DAYS came to her first before a possible recast, makes the situation bittersweet for Nadia. “At least, they did that and didn’t feel like, ‘Oh, my goodness!’ But of course (it’s hard), I grew up there. I feel like those were my high school college years and that’s like my family.”

The last time Nadia was on-screen on Days of Our Lives was back in 2023 when Chloe left Salem with one of her great loves, Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier). The pair headed to New York City to give their romance another whirl, only it didn’t work out. Philip returned to Salem in 2024 with no Chloe in tow.

You can check out the livestream chat with Nadia and Kyler Pettis discussing their time on Days of Our Lives and their new movie, Veronica & Julian below.

Now let us know, are you sad to learn that Nadia was asked to return as Chloe, but things could not work out to make it make sense for her now that she lives in Ireland? Do you think Sofia Mattsson is playing a recast Chloe or another character? Let us know your thoughts via the comment section.

By

Suzanne Rogers

Daytime Emmy winner and Gold Circle Honors Inductee, Suzanne Rogers will be on your screens this week on Days of Our Lives, when Maggie Kiriakis is back in action beginning with the Monday, August 31 episode. Previously, Maggie was written-off the canvas in April of this year when she left Salem to visit her daughter, Melissa.

Back in October of 2025, it was revealed that Rogers was battling stage II colorectal cancer. Then in November 2025, Suzanne told PEOPLE that she was now in remission.

Suzanne shared, “I’m feeling so much better. I mean, my summer was rough. I had cancer removed, radiation, that was tough. But I didn’t lose my hair. I guess I got it early. I was stage two, and it was a certain kind of chemo that they gave me, it was pills and the radiation, and it didn’t affect it so that was good.”

SUZANNE ROGERS JOURNEY BACK TO DAYS OF OUR LIVES

Now, official Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) will reach out to Maggie on the Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Due to Days of Our Lives’ advance taping schedule of 10-11 months in advance of streaming new episodes on Peacock, Suzanne’s reintroduction to the story will play out this fall.

In a interview with TV Insider last year, Rogers shared that as of July 31 2025, she had completed cancer treatment and was headed back to work to continue the story of Maggie Horton.

Rogers explained, “I start back to work next week, so we’ll see how that goes. Now, I’m feeling anxious like I do any time I get scripts because I want to do my very best and you don’t want to hold up anybody.”

As Days of Our Lives fans know, Rogers has been with the soap opera as of last week for 53 years having debuted back on August 20, 1973. Then in 1979, Suzanne became the first actress ever to win the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Daytime Drama Series at the Daytime Emmy Awards.

In 2024, Rogers was honored with induction into the Emmys’ Gold Circle by The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. This award recognizes individuals who have made a significant and lasting impact on television for 50 years or more.

Before her recent health scare, Rogers has battled myasthenia gravis starting in 1984, which also has gone in remission.
