I’ve decided to get of my Burgess Hate Train and just accept his version of Billy. Y&R does have an impressive, talented ensemble cast. I’m looking forward to Justin Hartley as Adam. I think Gina is great as Phyllis and I’m liking Scott Elrod as Joe. Life’s good in Genoa City!

I purposely never watch THE TALK due to a certain vulgar panelist, who, as her daughter, gives herself airs and pretends to have graduated to ‘lady’. HA !

I’ve yet to see anyone on The Talk fit that description, are you sure you aren’t talking about The View?

I am absolutely sure. I have been watching THE VIEW since I was about ten years old with my mother…. I love THE VIEW. I find no humor in your second guessing me. I am not senile, Sammie. I take umbrage to that. I know exactly of whom I am speaking and I have good, personal reasons. It’s unfortunate you don’t know who it is….so obvious. Perhaps you missed the first few segments. Ha!

Holy smokes, a little defensive are we? A lot of people get the View and The talk mixed up, doesn’t mean they are senile.
Umbrage? Really? I take umbrage that you are so offended over nothing.
I watch The talk whenever they have a guest on there who interests me, I love that you’re upset because you wrongly accuse me of second guessing you but yet you are saying I must have missed a few segments. LOL
Maybe I just don’t dissect people like you do.
Please chill out, nobody is out to get you.

I like the new cast members but will never watch The Talk. I don’t like talk shows and will never watch one. I am excited to see these cast members and all the great stories involving them. Nothing can replace my AMC, but at least Y&R has me interested in a soap again.

I don’t watch Y&R but I occasionally peek in on it to see familiar actors from OLTL or GH. I’ve read though all the criticism of the new Billy’s looks; I think he’s quite handsome in a rugged sorta way. Maybe not classically beautiful ala GH’s “Nathan”…but I think this is quite a handsome man. Does he look older than (who was it? Billy Miller and David Tom?)…I’d say more mature. Good looking guy. You Y&R fans also have a great new Phyllis. Gina is great!

Laurence Fishburne to Present Levar Burton with Lifetime Achievement Honors at ‘Children’s & Family Emmy Awards’

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced today that Laurence Fishburne (ex-Josh Hall, One Life to Live 1973-1976 ) will present Levar Burton with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the upcoming Children’s & Family Emmys on December 11th from the Wilshire Ebell theatre in Los Angeles.

Fishburne, who collectively had won a Tony, NAACAP and Emmy Awards, will honor his longtime friend for the body of his work. Most notable among their many collaborations was when Burton served as executive producer for the 2016 remake of Roots, which starred Fishburne.

As many know, Levar Burton is an actor, director and educator who has taught generations of children about the joys of reading through his show Reading Rainbow. Throughout his career, Levar has been honored with 13 Emmy Awards, 3 NAACP Awards, a Grammy Award for Spoken Word Album, a Peabody Award, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, among other accolades.

Burton is the award-winning author of The Rhino Who Swallowed a Storm, A Kids Book About Imagination, and his Grammy Nominated book, Aftermath. His podcast, LeVar Burton Reads, has been downloaded more than 25 million times. Recently, he launched the LeVar Burton Book Club via the Fable app.

The Children’s & Family Emmy ceremony will be hosted by former 30 Rock star, Jack McBrayer, and will be streamed live on NATAS’ dedicated viewing platform powered by Vimeo, available on the web at Watch.TheEmmys.TV and via The Emmys apps for iOS, tvOS, Android, FireTV, and Roku.

GH’s Josh Swickard Stars in HBO Max Film ‘A Hollywood Christmas’

Circle Thursday, December 1st! That’s when you can see General Hospital’s Josh Swickard (Chase) in yet another holiday film.  This time, Swickard stars alongside Jessika Van in A H0llywood Christmas streaming on HBO Max.

In story, A Hollywood Christmas follows Jessica, a successful Christmas movie director, who begins living her own real-life Christmas movie when a handsome television executive named Christopher (played by Swickard), shows up on the set.

Sent by the network to decide if producing Christmas movies are worth the expense, Christopher’s presence threatens to halt production on Jessica’s latest film. With Christopher looking over her shoulder on behalf of the network, Jessica now has to juggle: actors on the set falling in and out of love, an elf dog, and her own romantic feelings for the network exec!

As many are aware, Josh stars in many holiday films, so it’s a bit of send-up about a guy who is in Christmas movies starring in a movie about the making of one.

Warner Brothers posted tune-in info on their official Instagram a few days ago, sharing, “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… #AHollywoodChristmas premieres in SIX Days! Spend the #HolidaysWithHBOMax.”

You can check out the trailer below.
