WATCH: Y&R's Joshua Morrow & Sharon Case CBS Connect Chat On Shick's Wedding Day!

Courtesy/CBS
This morning The Young and the Restless on-screen lovebirds, Joshua Morrow (Nick) and Sharon Case (Sharon) sat down for nearly half an hour to chat with their fans on the live CBS Connect chat.
And as viewers know, today was the day that Sharon walked down the aisle preparing to become Mrs. Nick Newman one more time, much to the delight to Shick fans! But will the impending doom of Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) who has some things to say, eventually dampen Shick’s potential marital bliss?
Before the action began to play out on air, Joshua and Sharon answered questions ranging from their acting techniques, working together, what they would like to see happen for their characters and more during their live char!
And as you would expect, Mr. Morrow was hilarious with his off the cuff remarks and comments, as he asked the viewers questions out loud to Sharon and himself!
Watch Joshua and Sharon’s CBS connect chat after the jump! Then, let us know what was your favorite part of the video? And tell us, are you rooting for Nick and Sharon’s wedding to still make it to the “I do’s”? Or, do you hope it becomes a big, “I don’t”? Make sure to check out the final moments of today’s Y&R after the jump too, and then comment below!
LOL ohh gawd!
I can not tolerate the Sharon character!! (irritating mall princes ….
If she came to my house and talked, just opened her mouth, I’d pull out her 102 hair extensions and throw her out the window.. 😉
But since i’m not a violent person I FF her, and Nick too when he is with her..
I wrote Pratt to kill Sharon off (in my daydream(wonder if he tweets….
long live Y&R ..
I hope you are just talking about the character because you could not be more wrong about the actress she is a lovely person. She is a friend of a family member of mine and she has always been a team player not a mean bone in her body.
k/kay..
My first words written in my comment;
”I can not tolerate the Sharon character!!” .. (note; ”character” ..
su0000…your comment made me LMAO…LOL!!!!! GOOD ONE!!!!!
Do not take away the wonderful work that these actors have done for twenty years. Hard work dedication to entertain us please stop with the negative crap they give their heart and soul into this. Respect
Don’t worry suoo I will not be challenging you any more got bad news about a family member more important things to do then challenge you!
Kay, I find myself in the unfortunate and dubious position of having to defend SU00. She did specify she hates the Sharon character, not Sharon Case the person. Part of soapy fun is developing either love or antipathy for a certain soap character. SUOO clearly detests the Sharon character but she adores Phyllis. It seems fans are either Team Sharon or Team Phyllis. Being an indecisive person, I am on both teams–love em both. I LOVE Sharon, and think Sharon Case is an amazing actress who shows no sign of aging. I hope your family woes make a turn for the better. I know how incredibly sad that can be which is why I depend on good old fashioned escapism.
@harry I misread suoo’s comment I screwed up!
long live Y&R! OH YEAH! They should have taken Sharon off before we had to see her being Adam’s whore, or Victor’s lowest lothesom moment in a mad marriage. or her abandoning her kids for months on a goat farm with a vet. Sharon though, unlike Phyllis has one huge redeeming aspect, and that is her long time faithful love to Nick. Nothing is more powerful or alluring than that bathtime ballad and those two acting as adolecents. Phyllis NEVER could have hurt them had it not been for them being gutted after their pride& joy, beautiful angel, Cassie was ripped apart in a car with PHYLLIS’S son driving DRUNK. THE ONLY REDEEMING THING PHYLLIS actually has is a daughter named Summer WHO DOES happen to be NIcks child.(the big secret). A sad mistake for Sharon to switch the DNA on that because with a child of Nick’s she felt Phyllis too great a contender for Nicks devotion. How can the secret be veiwed other than righteous, Sharon trying to hold onto the love of her life, and father of her lovely kiddos too.
Being in Canada I already knows what happens, but I will say to my American Y&R fans it was a good episode– lots of highs and lows– I enjoyed it–it certainly was a soap wedding– in all its glory.
Yes it is all over the net I get the feeling they are going to make Phyllis more like she was in Bill Bell days! I knew the storybook romance could not last forever.
Im disapointed that things have changed so much in this yr for Phyllis that she is blowing out of her coma as a completely lesser, decidedly more evil person. Even in the coma, she exuded pure EVIL WITH THOSE STIFF TINY RAT LIKE LIPS!!! Unless the plan is for her to have a short life, I dont get it. The old Phyllis character could evoke some sympathy, this one seems to be have a real demon clinging to her Seriously though who could be in Phyllis camp when shes never helped anyone, not even her kids…..and she jumped on Nick and ruined Sharons marriage when that couple had just lost their kid. She never deserved Jacks care either!!! kelly isnt one bit the homewrecker Phyllis is!!!!!
@daina Weird you should mention a short life for Phyllis my sister said the same thing. It reminded her of something out of a Frankenstein movie when she jumped up in bed screaming! I still think they should have just wrote Phyllis off by saying she was moving to New York. The Avery & Phyllis dialogue today was just too much for me . Mean old evil Sharon conversation is getting tiresome.
Love these two! How funny that Sharon finally realized it was Joshua who was screwing with things in her dressing room!
I love Nick and Sharon and hope they stay together for a long time. I know it’s a soap and there has to be drama, but it is possible to create angst and drama for a married couple w/o totally breaking them up.
There are no happy ever afters with soaps..
As soon as a couple is happily written their ending is also being written..
Couples are doomed from their beginning..
It’s always been that way and always will be 🙁
ITA! Love them and have for 20 yrs.
dear Nick and Sharon Newman I love young and the restless. u are a awesome couple. Stay together no matter what.
(what does it mean when comments are awaiting moderation?)
Sharon and Nick forever yes indeed. Both have made giant mistakes, but it was Nick who really hurt their pure & precious bond, by sucumbing to a red head with little blue yes and no cooking or human skills. Jack called the new actress” Red” so were supposed to believe they were dying the natural red head all the months in the coma?
Love Y&R and have been a fan for many many years used to tape it until they started showing the days episode in the evening. I really get involved in it and get up set when the writers make the actors appear stupid about what’s going on. Hate it when things go on and on for weeks at a time it’s get aggrevating but we still watch because we don’t want to miss anything. Hope they don’t change the cast and get rid of the good ones, ones that have been there doing a great job so good that they make us think we are part of the show also: however I have to say the part of Abby needs a better actress. Thank you for this opportunity to share my openion.
Nick and Sharon all the way! only reason why i watched~

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
