The fall TV season is finally upon us, and two of our favorite nighttime soaps are returning with major stories and the fallout from last season’s cliffhangers! TV Line has some Intel and spoilers of both Nashville and Revenge in their special photo gallery spoiler gallery.
For ABC’s Nashville, viewers will learn who Rayna (Connie Britton) chose, or not, in the love department by the end of the season 3 premiere episode. Luke Wheeler’s (Will Chase) back-up singer Pam (Brette Taylor) and Deacon (Charles Esten) will be in each others orbit. And Dancing with the Stars dance champion Derek Hough guest star role of Noah West is part of a major story when the Patsy Cline biopic in which he stars begins filming in Nashville, and everyone wants to be in it!
With Hayden Paniettiere (Juliette) being pregnant in real-life, it will definitely, as previous reported be incorporated as to who’s the father, since Juliette slept with both Avery (Jonathan Jackson) and Jeff Fordham (Oliver Hudson) towards the latter have of the season. And finally, Gunnar’s (Sam Palladio) ex comes to Nashville with a son that might be his!

And as for the upcoming fourth season of Revenge: the return of the believed to be dead, David Clarke, (James Tupper) Emily’s father, will roll out slowly where he will encounter different characters along the way. As for when the audience finally sees David with Emily (Emily VanCamp), according to Revenge showrunner Sunil Nayar, “is not what you’re going to be expecting.” Meanwhile, Jack (Nick Wechsler) may have gone through some changes as Nayar previewed, “The audience will be knocked out by what he has done between seasons.” And one of the big cliffhangers, the fate of Conrad Grayson (Henry Czerny) will be revealed in the last couple minutes of the premiere. Is he really dead?
So from the teasers, what is piquing your interest from Nashville and/or Revenge? And circle your calendars – Nashville season premiere is on Wednesday night, September 25th (10PMEST) and Revenge is back Sunday night, September 28th (10PMPST)
great!
I’m a Big Revenge fan (Also bigger fan of Scandal soap/series) looking forward to both!!
Nashville would be good if it actually had intriguing stories and less music/singing..
(its not MTV ; I’m not sure what it is … lol)
Definitely REVENGE.
NASHVILLE never follows through with any decent long term story. I would have preferred for MISTRESSES to have gotten a 22 episode season in its time slot.
I’m looking forward to both shows returning!
Awesome and I love both shows..They are both very different but both always leave you wanting more..I think the music in Nashiville adds to the storyline and if a show that is only on the air once a week for 22 episodes, I think more short term story lines are better..This is not daytime soaps.

Hayden Panettiere Reveals Filming ‘Nashville’ was ‘Traumatizing’; Writers Used Her Personal Struggles with Addiction, Postpartum as Storylines
Nashville and former Guiding Light star, Hayden Panettiere (ex-Lizzie, GL) opened up about her final seasons on the ABC country music primetime drama, where the show touched too close to home for the actress who played lead character, Juliette Barnes.
In an interview with The Messenger, Hayden shared that during the run of the show from 2012-2018, she feels that the writers, more often that not, pulled from her real life while crafting Juliette’s storylines.
Hayden said on the years she spent filming the series that it was “also very traumatizing because I felt like I was acting out my own life.”

Previously, the actress had shared that her dependency on alcohol and opioids as a teenager led to her dependency in her adult life. In addition, Nashville told the story of Juliette’s postpartum depression, which also mirrored Panettiere’s experience who went through the same thing when her own daughter was born.
Explaining what went down behind the scenes, Hayden recalled: “Straight from the beginning, it was like, I’m dating a football player, (and then) Juliette dates a football player. And then they turned her into an alcoholic. Then they turned to her leaving her daughter and going to this crazy (place) in Europe, and it was very obvious.”

The actress added, ‘They weren’t doing their homework. They weren’t creating new storylines. They were just looking at my life and going, ‘Oh, let’s just take what she’s going through and put our little spin on it.’ And then, ta-da! It’s done and done.”

Hayden added that she didn’t have time to care of herself and the pain she was going through physically and emotionally, so she tried to watch mindless TV and shows to help her calm down. Panettiere also felt that when she knew she had to go back to the set of Nashville, she did, “anything to keep my mind off of that because I knew that next day I was going to be back at it again. I was like, tear central. I don’t even think on a soap opera that I cried as much (as I did) on Nashville.”
Hayden is set to make three upcoming appearances of her A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere live series in New York on February 23 and Washington D.C. on February 24.
So, do you think the Nashville writers literally stole creative ideas for the character of Juliette Barnes based on Hayden’s personal struggles? It certainly on paper seems so. Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
