Who Will Be B&B’s New Love Interest For Steffy Forrester?

Photo: JPI

The Bold and the Beautiful is back in production, the first soap to do so amidst the coronavirus pandemic, and there has been much speculation and talk for awhile now as to just what the future holds in story for one of its leading stars, Daytime Emmy-winner, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester).

It appears that instead of re-treading a romance for Steffy with Dollar Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) or his son, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), the series is about to bring in some new suitors into Steffy’s romantic life!

According to B&B’s executive producer and head writer, Brad Bell, he has big plans for Jacqui in the months ahead, as he related to TV Insider.

When Bell was asked about the new love interest coming in to the show for Steffy,  he revealed: “We have a great story coming up for Jacqui. Steffy has been committed to her work, her daughter Kelly…but people have been wondering when a new man will enter her life. He’s coming. She’ll have a period of time where, in fact, quite a few men will be after her – as they should be. She’s spectacular and unique. I’m thrilled to say that this next chapter will be very much about Steffy. I always feel comfortable putting drama in the hands of Jacqui Wood.”

In addition, recently on  The Michael Fairman Channel’s recent Daytime-Emmy virtual chat with Wood, Scott Clifton and Heather Tom, the actress also alluded to a potential new love interest for Steffy, too.   You can watch that below.

So, who would you suggest to play opposite Jacqueline MacInnes Wood as her new love interest?  Share your casting thoughts via the comment section.

I hate when soaps bring in random new characters hoping for a connection. It rarely ever works. The ol days writers would test out chem with existing characters I’d love to see her and the boy from the wrong side of the tracks Vinny together. He s hot, Tomas hef brothers friend and the relationship could grow organically from their mutual connection! Vinny could teach her self defense in boxing as the portrayer is a boxer in real life! The two together would be sizzling And if the current portrayer s not cutting it recast with Marco Dapper. Y n… Read more »

Come on and announce who has been cast B&B! We are awaiting to see who Steffy’s new man is! I would love for Cane from Y&R to crossover. Her and Daniel Goddard would SIZZLE.

As long as it’s not Liam Logan, I’m happy to go with any of these great choices. STEAM is dead, Liam killed it and I’m glad to see that sense has finally prevailed and Brad Bell acknowledges that fact. I think there’s a whole lot of guys that would be great with Steffy and as she already had a connection with Vinny, I think he can be redeemed from the rather shady life he’s living now, Daniel Goddard, yes another great actor. I think Bell likes teasing us with the anticipation, but after this build up lets see if he… Read more »

I love your idea of bringing on Daniel Goddard for Steffy’s long-term love interest. I would celebrate the end of the Hope/Liam/Steffy triangle.

(Cane never should have been let go from Y&R. )

Exec Prod Frank Valentini On GH’s Return with New Episodes: “There is a Bang and a Surprise and a Twist”

Monday, General Hospital will finally be airing a new episode – the first in months due to COVID-19 – which had previously shut down production of the show.  Now with safety protocols in place, GH will become the first ABC network show back on TV with original installments.

GH’s executive producer, Frank Valentini spoke to ABC 7 Los Angeles’ entertainment guru George Pennacchio on the legacy soap opera’s return and picking up the story where things left off.

Valentini offered up for Monday’s episode: “The very first few seconds of the show, I think, will blow a lot of the audience’s mind because there’s a big surprise that we inserted in.”

Meanwhile, viewers know that their is a major custody case going on for Wiley/Jonah, and that Mike’s (Max Gail) battle with Alzheimer’s could wrap in the coming months if the story continues as it had before the shut down.

However, Valentini shared that fans have some very exciting things to look forward to on GH: “There is a bang and a surprise and a twist and it’s going to be a lot of fun.”

In addition, Pennacchio reports that the GH Nurses’ Ball will return sometime in August, which usually airs in May, but didn’t, because of COVID-19 this past spring.

As to how GH will handle the love scenes, the kisses, and the intimate moments between characters which are a staple of the genre during the health crisis, Frank expressed:”Physical intimacy is limited.  We’re going to leave a lot more to the imagination.”

So, what surprises do you think are in store as previewed by Valentini when GH returns with new episodes? Comment below.
