B&B’s Denise Richards Reveals Her Husband Aaron Phypers Will Be Stand-In During Ridge Forrester Intimate Scenes
On Tuesday’s edition of CBS Daytime’s The Talk@Home, The Bold and the Beautiful and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Denise Richards (Shauna) appeared on the series.
During her segment, Denise discussed how she felt about B&B being the first American TV show back in production amidst the coronavirus pandemic and if she felt safe returning to work. Richards also discussed how the love scenes and more intimate moments of the series will be done either with real-life partners standing in for their on-screen love interests, or a blow-up doll.

Denise expressed: “I’m excited to go back to work. I think it’s important for us to also be safe, but to move forward. And Brad Bell [executive producer and head writer, B&B) has implemented a very safe environment, I feel, for all of us, so I think it’s important.”
As to the COVID-19 testing protocols, Richards explained: “Every week we’re tested. If there are more than two actors, we have mannequins. If there is an intimate scene, they’ve asked us if our significant other can step in for that person. Otherwise, we’ll be doing a love scene with a doll.”
It was then Denise confirmed that her husband, Aaron Phypers, will be stepping in for intimate scenes with love interest Ridge Forrester, played by Thorsten Kaye: “He (Phypers) is standing in. And he came with me today. He had to have his COVID test too, every week the whole cast does. He starts standing in next week.”

I don’t know… There’s much to be said for a blow-up doll! 🙂
James…good one…and so true…lol.
Love scenes with mannequins or dolls? Well, it is about fashion and mannequins are available, but I don’t know how that will play on air.
As i had mentioned in a previous, post, I think soap operas should go by way of the dinosaur. And being an on again off again 30 year viewer of both Y&R &,B&B, I never thought I would hear those words escape my mouth. Since I have been enjoying watching episodes from the past these past weeks, it holds true to me even more. To me the current Y&R doesn’t hold a candle to what they are showing now. The only thing keeping me to Y&R is Sharon and Rey. The same goes for B&B. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed Stephanie SR going at Brooke like she did. I said it before and I will say it again, nobody slaps a face like Stephanie Forrester. Even the episode I saw the other day, where Bridget is laying into Brooke about Deacon. Now that is what I call good soap opera. But now it’s getting to campy and repetitive for me. I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion. Thanks for listening and please take care of yourself.

Make sure the blow-up dolls are represented by a union and are paid well if you go there. Prefer the spouse stand-in.

On the Friday, May 8 Mother’s Day episode of The Price is Right, a retired veteran won over $240,000 in cash and prizes making her takeaway the largest prize ever won in a single pricing game in the 54-year history of the daytime version of the CBS game show.
The contestant, “Vanesa from Virginia” bested the previous record of $210,000 in a single pricing game of Cliffhangers set over a decade ago in 2016. The moment occurred when Vanesa played “The Lion’s Share,” the new high,” the new high-stakes branded game that debuted this season through a partnership with BetMGM.
In the game, contestants have to guess the prices of grocery items to earn up to five balls. Each ball is then dropped into a wind tunnel, revealing a hidden prize amount. After each reveal, contestants face a tense decision to walk away with their current winnings or risk it all to continue.
