This week on Days of our Lives, Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abigail (Kate Mansi) prepare to finally become husband and wife, but it’s plaqued with a set of problems! Chief among them the news that necktie serial killer Ben (Rob Scott Wilson) has escaped from prison.

JJ (Casey Moss) and Chad are determined to keep the truth from Abigail, but something tells any DAYS viewer that secret won’t last long, especially after watching the latest promo from NBC for the long-running daytime drama series.

Chabby is set to have their wedding at the DiMera mansion in what seems like a quickie decision to tie the knot.  When they told Abby’s mother, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) of their plans, the painkiller addicted mother of the bride, doesn’t really seem so happy.   Will she be able to hold it together for her daughter at the nuptials?   Will Ben show up and destroy the wedding?

It’s been a long road for Chad and Abigail, and their son Thomas.   Chabby fans are hoping that their favorite duo gets at least to start life together as newlyweds.  Will it happen?  Watch this week’s DAYS promo after the jump.   Then let us know what you think will go down come the big wedding day!

I do believe that jimh had predicted such a thing. I suppose it’s no novelty. Of course the ‘escape’ would happen on Abbi’s wedding day. How original !! It’s stuff like this that turns me off.
Can’t there ever be an event without some kind of stupid ‘suspense’, which in my estimation, it’s no suspense at all.
The only wedding I remember taking place without a hitch was Sonny’s and Will’s. Then, ‘they’ killed that too, anyway. No one ever lives his/her dream on this soap….all soaps, actually, but not one mishap/tragedy after another without taking the next breath, as Days.

With KM leaving and Ben showing up i believe he will kidnap Abby to explain her absence until a new actress is found…or maybe Chad takes Abby in hiding to protect her against Ben?…maybe im wrong and a new actress will just takeover the role?…i just wish for at least one episode we can have a break from the gloominess…we need a little sunshine once in awhile….on youtube there is an old 1968 wedding episode from Another World that was realistic and went off without a hitch…no shooting, no other woman showing up with a baby…no one wearing a fake mask…just a beautifully told soap wedding…but of course the groom would later kill someone…lol…however, only the bride knew and would keep that a secret for years and from their son-he never found out.

I don’t think you are wrong, Jimmy. It sounds very reasonable to me. You are hardly ever wrong.
Something of that sort needs to happen to explain Abby’s absence for whatever time.
Oh, ANOTHER WORLD, my grandmother’s favorite….she still talks about it.
This dark binge Days is on really is depressing….and, those kids, WOW! The only one I am able to tolerate is Theo, Jimmy.

Do you think, Jimmy, that Ben will take the baby because he thinks Thomas is his?
That’s a scary thought….so, I hope not.
Also, our Miss Jenny is going off the deep end. ….

I think, Jimmy, that because so many ideas are flooding my brain all at the same time, I may sound confused.
Let’s see: could Ben be connected to this ‘organization’ Eduardo mentioned? Could said org. have busted Ben out of prison after doing their homework on Salem? Could the org. be using Ben as the key to the town since he knows it and its inhabitants inside and out?
Is baby Thomas next?
Sorry for rambling on. In my defense, Jimmy, since Days is boring me to death, lately, I sort of make up my own stories to add suspense. LOL.

I just seen your other reply…i like to make up stories when im bored too but you are aware of that…sometimes to add suspense i dont let myself know what will happen next…lol

Lol, Jimmy. Half of mine showed up. I cannot really blame the moderators. Sometimes we get carried away with the comments. I really didn’t say anything bad about Kayla. I love Mary Beth. She is a gorgeous lady…inside and out. I would never, ever say anything negative about her. She literally is ‘Sweetness’. I just made a comment on the dress. Later.

You should show your grandma that old episode on youtube if you can…its Another World, July 1968…someone uploaded this rare treat a few months ago and there are some eps. from 1973.74 and several from 1979 im sure she would enjoy…you might too!

Thanks, Jimmy. I will do that. She’ll love it.

Yes, I am VERY disappointed in Days of late–just dropped a hot story with Chad and Abby and now this. A real cheat for the fans. And all the other plots are so choppy there is little room for verisimilitude or character development. And the killing of Ava by Joey (gasp!) and the rape of Ciera–I could go on, but the elephant in the room is the “killing” of Stefano by Hope (double gasp) and Rafe’s covering for her–to say nothing of Roman (how could they do that?)
So . . .to borrow from the Bard–a lot of sound and fury, signifying nothing–coming to nothing.
To sum up, Days is a real mess and I don’t care if I see it or not–unlike the few months of “must-see” afternoon drama. (Sigh)

Everything you just said is sacrosanct, nancy. I am beyond disgusted with Hope and Rafe.
I understand Hope’s need for revenge for dispicable Stefano. But, as officers of the law, they broke that for which they stand.
TPTB make Hope seem unhinged and above the law. The same for Rafe, not only is he breaking the law, but he is a dummy….Hope’s puppet. And, Roman? Here he is: looking the other way for Hope, but not her sister’s husband? And, Steve’s not even guilty. Bah!!
I think the writers are borrowing their unlawful activities from the cops from SHADES OF BLUE. Perhaps they also write for that show.

sadly, I feel the same way. Didn’t even bother with it today or yesterday. Chabby wedding .. oh yeah, sure! Ben’s gonna interrupt it and there’ll be another kidnapping. Just cut to the chase, I’m tired of this merry-go-round where nothing ever really happens. I’m assuming the real Chabby wedding will happen in May. I’ll watch then.

Ben might have mistaken the baby as his…i thought Kayla’s dress came out of Wednesday Addam’s closet…lol

Yeah, that’s what said too…Ben will take Thomas because as far as he is concerned Thomas is his.
Lol, Jimmy, I’m glad you got my post about the dress in your inbox. I don’t see it on this board.

Hey, Jimmy,
Ariana should be around 2 now, I guess….but, little Thomas is still an infant. So, unless Ben is really mentally challenged (which is very possible), he could not mistake the two.
We shall see. I just wonder if these two stories are connected.

Some of my stuff hasnt made it on this board…sometimes i also have problems in my inbox too…some messages arrive blank but when i come here i can read them…yours did show up!

Abby screams…thought she had scene Brian Frons in the NBC studio…lol…maybe Ben kidnaps Abby again—when is Kates last day-she and Bens car careens over a cliff during a police chase…Ben is found alive but Abby is missing and presumed drowned!…months later nuAbby shows up with a new face and amnesia…no one has any idea who she is…Nov. 2016…Abby’s mind seems to return but because of her new face no one believes she is really Abby…February, 2017…finally they know she is really Abby-her memory completely returns but Chad is now wed to Teressa while Summer is pregnant with Chads child but Brady thinks the child is his!!!…lol…kiddding!

i meant seen…

Are they getting married in that ‘study’? Please, give us a better DiMera mansion set.

Let’s hope the police are interested in recapturing Ben and it’s not just JJ ROOKIE COP and Chad.

Probably will be JJ…then he gets promoted as Chief-Of-Police…lol

Yeah, he became a cop overnight. Same as Dylan on Y&R. Considering JJ has been in trouble with the law so ofte, it’s hard to believe. But, it’s a soap. Lol.

The Study would not be proper for the wedding. They get married in the Estate Room.

A big wedding on a big set and a big shootout on location!!

*State Room.

I’m excited to see another exterior shoot outside Days’ Burbank studio. First it was a beach, now a warehouse?

😀

They just don’t do supercouple weddings like they used to. *sigh Yet, Days wasted precious location budget on a beautiful beach introducing a new character no one is interested in.

LoL that’s true all that diving into the water with a heart transplant to find a
character who may be Anne’s (you know, from the Hospital HR Dept) long
lost sister….and you’re right none of us give a rat’s tail.

S-o…Ben has escaped from prison, huh??? Not surprised at all. Oh…bring back Clyde and I’ll be an EVEN HAPPIER CAMPER…LOL!!!!! Y-e-p.

Oh, Jay…I just hope baby Thomas is not one of Ben’s targets. Did he take Marlena?
Please, no more…I can’t take the same old, same old anymore. Now we need to worry about not only what Ben will do, but also, what Deimos is up to. Ugh!!
Later, Jay.

PS.
I mean, did he take Ariana? Perhaps it wasn’t that ‘organization’ affiliated with the once ‘baddieEddie’. Or, Ben could now be part of said org.

It’s a shame that Abby’s father, Jack Deveraux, can’t be there to walk her down the aisle. Alas, he was killed off…

HOWEVER, I just saw Matthew Ashford in a commercial for Cialis, which means he is now “of a certain age.” How the mighty have fallen…

what will happen is Marlena and the baby are held in a room, which turns out to house Serena, Paige and the “real” Will……Ben was hired by Lujack’s (sorry can’t think of his character’s name) organization to “kill” Serena, Paige and Will…..because Lujack needs his org to make John and Cruz Castillo pawns…turns out that Serena is really John’s daughter, Page is Cruz’s daughter…Will is John’s grandson by marriage….so Ben was hired to take out these characters to make John and Cruz work for Lujack…..at the end of the day, it will be Eve and Eric who comes to the rescue…..Eric will whisk Serena away and marry her and leave Salem happily ever after….Paige will come back, dump JJ and then develop a split personailtiy and sleep with all the men and some women in Salem….Will comes back and him and Marlena will continue their Words with Friends game and Sonny will return and have a hot love affair with Paul…..Ben will be reformed and break his dad out of prison and him and Clyde will take the town hostage and will blow up Salem..killing all the teens except Claire and Theo and Joey…..thus creating new sets for everyone in Salem…Maggie’s daugther’s Melissa and Sarah come back and run Summer out of town…Brady gets both daugther’s pregnant and they both have boys and name him Daniel……and Eve and Cruz pick back up their steamy love affair and Eve gets pregnant with triplets…..they name them Evan, Emily and Erica……and so are the Days of Our Lives…..oh and shooting the episodes goes to a month out from airdate making it for a more close to real time episodes as possible….end scene, fade to Black……..

Oh, my gosh! So morose. But, I love it….Can you think of scenarios with a lighter mood? LOL. Scott, you have some imagination…talk to jimh. He’s the best with storytelling. Lol.
I do think that Ben is somehow linked to Edoardo’s and John’s enemies, though.

Ben will kidnap Abby that is what i think too. Then when the replacement Abby comes on that is when we will see her again.Unless they show Ben and Abby together which makes me wonder how long we will have to wait to see the new Abby.As long as he doesn’t kill her or Chad.I wonder about the baby to what is Ben going to do about that? We all know it isn’t his but he is so far gone who knows what may happen. I hope if he does show up at the wedding i didn’t see todays show so I could have missed something that the police crab Ben. Now what is going to happen to Hope and Rafe if someone finds out that they knew the truth about Stephano’s death .?I dont know about you but that story is to slow for me.
