According to TV Guide Canada’s Suds Report out today, Nelson Branco reveals thatThe Young and the Restless Victor Newman played by Eric Braeden, may have two other versions of himself in an upcoming planned episode.   Branco reports that a casting breakdown went out for a Victor-centric episode around Christmas/New Year’s Eve, and that Y&R is looking for seven-year-old and 15-year-old Braeden look-alikes who must be able to cry on cue.”

This episode sounds intriguing! Now, who could play little Victor?  Any thoughts? Let us know.

Looks like the show will finally delve deeply into Victor’s life as a child and what made him the way that he is. Definitely should be interesting. If this story is done right, I could see Eric Braeden getting himself yet another Emmy nomination.

TODAY: Ron Carlivati’s Dad Appears on DAYS

Be on the lookout on Friday’s October 18th episode of Days of our Lives for one of the shows “superfans” who pops in Salem.  That is when the father of DAYS head writer, Ron Carlivati appears as an extra on the NBC soap opera.

Carlivati Sr., who is very proud of his son, looks to be donning a medical lab coat as a physician in a photo shared on social media along with Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), one of Salem’s most busy and most respected doctors.

Ron told SOD about his dad appearing on the show that he writes: “It’s funny because I’ve been in soaps for over 20 years and my dad would watch to see my name on the credits but rarely get into the show. Somehow, I don’t know what clicked in for him, he’s obsessed with Days of our Lives. He does not miss it.”

As to how his dad became an extra for the day: “We were at the studio and Albert Alarr, our co-executive producer, comes up and meets my parents and turns to my dad and says, ‘We’re gonna be shooting some scenes in the hospital next. How would you like to be in them?’ I honestly had no idea this was coming. I also fainted.”

Y&R’s Eric Braeden Lip-Syncs For A Good Cause

Now here’s something you might not expect from Eric Braeden, The Young and the Restless‘ iconic Victor Newman!  Braeden lends his name and some pretty good lip-syncing to the tune “U.n.I (You &!)” as he participated in a fundraising campaign that benefits UNICEF.

“U.n.I (You & I)” is a song and video from the son and granddaughter of Sir Roger Moore, an organization the Bond star was passionately involved with for many years. The video features more than 50 celebrities lip-syncing the song’s lyrics, in honor of their friend Roger and to support a great cause close to the actor’s heart.  You can check out the wall of celebrities who have posted viral videos in support of UNICEF lip-syncing to the song here.

Braeden posted his video to social media sharing: “The only way we can make a difference is by coming together. What a pleasure to be a part of @theunisong project to raise money & awareness for @UNICEF  “

See the video below.
