More casting news out of Salem!  None other than Peter Porte (Ex-Ricky, The Young and the Restless) is set for a recurring role as ISA agent, Kyle Graham in the upcoming five-episode streaming limited series, Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem.

While Porte has been featured recently in Hallmark and Lifetime Channel, and Paramount streamer movies, plus several other primetime episodic roles and films, daytime fans last saw him in 2011-2012 on Y&R as Paul Williams’ (Doug Davidson) very troubled son.

To me, Peter Porte could have easily been Nicholas Alamain instead of Kyle Graham, but I will give it all a chance. Thus far, Beyond Salem is one-hundred times more interesting than anything Days of Our Lives is providing, both in terms of cast and story.

If young restless had a real head writer Peter Porte would be brought back as Pauls ‘ dead’ son, Ricky. Paul would be brought back in the fold, Chris and Michael.
But Instead we get such edge of your seat stories such as Mariah kidnapped by no one, Elena , Nate and the next boring Winters son, Moses all contemplating and switching jobs , and Sally designing a dress for Vic. ….

Thanks for that, Damien. He looked so familiar, I couldn’t place him on Y&R. Maybe he’ll be Kate’s boy-toy—-she actually called Jake Gabi’s boy-toy—no, he was, indeed, her own boy-toy—-needs to be much younger than the “”.woman” with whom he is involved. Jake is much older than Gabi, so he is no boy-toy in that relationship.—more like girl-toy. And, thank you , also, for bringing all these insipid storylines forth–no meat. —-Moses? Really?–no way can I envision this kid with any girl. Except for his height, he could pass as a 12-year old. Why are the writers doing this? .… Read more »

The only glimpse of hope Celia I have is that ingortunatley Tony Morina is in legal trouble( not sure why this site doesnt cover it), so if he gets fired , Cbs can finally hire a capable ep and as a result, the new ep will fire Josh Griffith( again) and hire a real head writer. At this point any head writer will do.

My, My this fellow has come along way since Paul threw him out the window, accidentally, when he played his physco son years ago.

Moto62,
He really is good looking and he would be good in any role, good or bad guy. When he played Paul’s son he was really winding off the spool, but as a sane person he’d be magnificent.

Chrishell Stause Makes a Return to Days of our Lives

You just never know who you will find in purgatory (ah-hem) on Days of our Lives ! And now, in a surprise return, Chrishell Stause reprises her role of Jordan Ridgeway in all new episodes on the Peacock streaming soap opera.

In the latest promo released on Friday, Chrishell is seen in the ‘afterlife’ as Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) runs into Jordan … her old arch-nemesis! Let the games begin.

Stause, who is one of the mainstays of the Netflix reality series, Selling Sunset, comes back to her old stomping grounds at DAYS just as Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Kate have ‘died’ and have all landed in this white space which looks to be heaven, but really is hell in disguise, especially given Marlena’s latest visit with Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk), who seemingly reveals herself to be possessed by Satan.

Chrishell made her DAYS debut back in August of 2013 and exited the series on March 9th of 2015.  Stause returned in 2019 until Jordan finally met her demise. She returned once again in 2020 in a series of flashbacks.

Watch the promo for next week’s DAYS below.

Now let us know, what do you think of Chrishell returning to DAYS to raise some hell for Kate and company? Comment below.

In the category of Daytime Drama, only Days of our Lives was nominated, thus DAYS becomes the automatic winner as the sole nominee.

The nominated and winning DAYS writing team consists of: Head Writer Ron Carlivati; Writers Lorraine Broderick, Jazmen Darnell Brown, Joanna Cohen, Carolyn Culliton, Richard Culliton, Cheryl Davis, Kirk Doering, Christopher Dunn, Jamey Giddens, David Kreizman, Ryan Quan, Dave Ryan, Katherine D. Schock.

DAYS head writer, Ron Carlivati shared in a statement: “My team and I are thrilled to be nominated for the 2023 Writers Guild Award for Daytime.  We submitted three scripts from the storyline about Craig’s late-in-life coming out, the impact it had on his wife, Nancy, and of course, his ill-fated romance with the ever-scheming Leo. We felt that these episodes were a good representation of what Days of our Lives does best: high-stakes family drama with a comedic twist.”
