Unless chose not to be, why was not Debbi Morgan on this list? Her role as Angie Hubbard was contract and genuinely lead actress on ALL MY CHILDREN. Same for Darnell Williams as Jessie Hubbard on AMC. This seems a true oversight.
While several of these nominated actors are worthy and talented, I am not sure I buy into their roles on the show as due these kudos. Now… if there were more meaty storylines for actors of color and diverse ethnic and national backgrounds… I could call some of these actors lead and supporting roles.
I totally agree with you. Most of the people selected have recurring roles and are rarely on. Darnell Williams, Debbi Morgan, Kristoff St. John and Kristolyn Lloyd are/were front and center and should have been nominated.
Why are we doing these awards? When was the last time you saw a storyline for an African American on Daytime ? Silly ! I predict they will all be gone the soaps in less then two years. Negative No Facts Yes!
