So glad CBS Daytime is staying intact? Comment below!
I’d guess- there isn’t a Y&R fan that ever thought Y&R wouldn’t be renewed for 2019-2029.
And Y&R will, without a doubt be renewed for the next 5 years, and likely beyond that.
I would worry about GH and its future.
(( it desperately needs to clean house get new writers/producer with new modern ideas))
You are soooo right, SusieQ……can’t wait for the ( spoiler alert) new hunky ‘recruit’ to make an appearance on Y&R. It’s a sin for anyone to look that good!! Swoon…..
A “Summer” contender? OOOO-la la, my friend….Kyle will be so jealous…..sparks and caca will simultaneously hit the fan.
Summer will do her best to play the beguiling coquette; the femme fatale …..all to get a rise out of Kyle ( again, no pun intended; Ha!). Yet, ultimately she will fall prey to her own wiles and will end up having feelings for the new guy!!
Someone has amnesia, su—-it’s obviously Adam —-is he seeing the shrink? So, if that’s the case, how does Chelsea fit into this? He wouldn’t recognize her. Is she in town by mere coincidence?
heeey Celia..
Y&R new hot guy will hook up with Summer and that will make Kyle jealous(you got it)
It’s like; she’s mine you can’t have her even if I don’t want her thing..
Until then Summer will get revengeful and plot against Kyle to take him down to get her jollies. That is obvious too.
The new hunk won’t be seen until July–so?
I said, as soon as Adam was recast, it was going to another run-of-the-mill amnesia story, sigh
** cant they ever come up with something new?**
Hi, SusieQ,
I started typing, and my post, mysteriously disappeared into cyber space–reception here su*ks.
Anyway…I do agree with you, except for one thing. I don’t know if I can honestly say that Summer will deliberately hurt Kyle. She does love him.
I have seen a change, for the better, in Summer….that’s coming from me—I never had anything nice to say about her, yet her transformation to adulthood is working for me. ….unless it’s a big act, making me underestimate her as a good actress. I like the emergence of a new Summer.
I think she will get her jollies watching Kyle squirm as she plays her coy-games with the new Adonis; albeit, not to hurt Kyle in any way. I may be wrong….you’re usually on target—so, anything is possible.
As far as Kyle—I think he loves Summer.
He gravitates toward Lola because the relationship is sedate—so different from the tempestuous love/sex (best kind, if you ask me. LOL) he had with Summer. I think he feels that Lola’s love is quiet, per se….dependable…..Lola has the makings of the perfect wife ( boring).
Summer’s antics–her flighty, flirty, spoiled, volatile persona has become tedious for Kyle—he compares the two.
I believe his love for Summer is all-consuming and he can’t handle it…..Hmmmm—which brings me to think he is controlling. That worked in the 50’s, I guess…..
However, I think that Summer neatly packed her jet-setting-frivolous lifestyle in a gigantic box.
We shall see, as the story develops, whether the box makes it to the attic or not.
Wonderful news. CBS daytime lives on….❤️❤️❤️❤️
Since I am a fan of both shows, I am glad they are getting picked up again. With that being said I wish someone could show these comments sections to the powers that be of both shows and listen to the fans. I really have no problems with Y&R, except for the fact that people must think Adam Newman is part cat and he has nine lives. If I am thinking wrong, someone please correct me. But wasn’t Adam last seen being blown up while inside a car. How is that one going to get explained away? I hope this new guy can hold a candle to Michael Muhney and Justin Hartley, and not be whimpy like the new Thomas on B&B. He is terrible. I have seen H.S plays with better actors. That whole storyline is getting ridiculous. I don’t understand why people keep grouping Liam with both babies. Steffy and Liam were not married when Steffy adopted. She wanted to do that all by herself. If I hear Hope say to Liam “Go be with your girls” one more time, I am going to scream. And Flo, Sasha, and, Zoe making that pact. Flo must not feel that guilty. I hope they don’t plan on letting Sally go again. I love her with Wyatt. I guess the writers couldn’t come up with anything original, so they decided to have a Flo, Wyatt, Sally triangle. They can just take notes, from the Hope, Steffy Liam book, and just change the names. They got rid of Sally before so Thomas could be with Caroline. I loved Sally with that Thomas. Now they will dump her so he can be with Flo. Time will tell I guess. Sorry to be so long winded, I know they are only soap operas, but I just had to get a few things off my chest. Happy viewing everybody!!!!!
It sounds good to me.

Hello again. I just got through making a comment to you on the return of MSEagen on Y&R. I have had to stop watching B&B for a while. I hate the dead/switched baby SL, and so sick of Hope crying all over her baby’s ultrasound picture, and as you said, always trying to send Liam to Steffy. I don’t like the new Thomas either, with Hope or Sally. He’s as nutty as his mother. We all know this baby thing will come out eventually, but all this crap in the meanwhile drives me crazy!
Hello back Violet. I know what you mean. All this in between nonsense before they get to the “good stuff” is aggravating me as well. How ironic that Taylor is supposed to be some top notch psychiatrist, and she is missing a few screws along with her son. Today’s episode (5/3) was just as bad. Now Thomas is going to turn his sweet little boy into a head case as well. I wonder if Flo’s mother is going to start hitting on Ridge. She respected Bill and Katie. I wonder if she will do the same for Queen Brooke. Time will tell I guess. Thanks for listening and happy viewing

We are on the same wave length. I’m wondering the same thing about Flo’s mom.
With her history with men, you know she isn’t going to just go her merry way, without causing trouble. The big question, will she aim for Ridge, or her old friend’s husband Eric? Look how quickly she got that gown on. I am sure she wants a piece of that pie she’s pushing Flo to secure.
The thought of her going after the old man never occurred to me, but it’s an interesting thought. After the way Shauna pulled that stun gun on Zoe, I’m sure Shauna has a little craziness running through her system as well. I think Quinn and Shauna would make for an interesting cat fight
Adam is coming back? An awfully lot is happening! Perhaps too much too fast!
The Talk now loses Sara its founder and already lost Julie! And so the ratings (2+ Million) are not much better than As The World Turns when it was cancelled many years ago. I have never liked the show since it replaced an old favorite. Marie Osmond may bring a small bump up in ratings but I can’t see her and Sharon carrying that show. Marie needs to stick with her Nutri-System ads.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
