Y&R, B&B and Entire CBS Daytime Lineup Gets Renewed for 2019-2020 Season

Good news for fans of The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful CBS has renewed its entire daytime line-up for the 2019-2020 television season. That line-up also includes: Let’s Make A Deal, The Price is Right and The Talk,

The lineup, which is nominated for an industry-leading 56 Daytime Emmy Awards, includes Let’s Make a Deal, The Price is Right, The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Talk.

Angelica McDaniel, Executive Vice President of CBS Daytime Programs and Syndicated Programs Development said on the pick-up: “For almost a third of a century, CBS has demonstrated a remarkable legacy of success in Daytime.”Our programming continues to maintain a level of achievement unheard of in today’s television landscape, thanks to the passion and dedication of the extraordinary producers, casts, staff and crew on the shows, our studio partners, and most importantly, the fans. They have our deepest gratitude, and we look forward to entertaining them for many years to come.”

The #1 Daytime drama for over 32 consecutive years, The Young and the Restless has been a mainstay of CBS Daytime for almost 47 years and is celebrating many notable anniversaries in the coming season. Among them, Eric Braeden will celebrate 40 years on the show, Peter Bergman 30 years, Joshua Morrow and Sharon Case 25 years, and Bryton James 15 years. The series recently received 20 Daytime Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series.

The Bold and the Beautiful, which recently celebrated its 32nd anniversary, is recognized globally as “the most-watched Daytime drama in the world” and is currently nominated for 12 Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series.

I’d guess- there isn’t a Y&R fan that ever thought Y&R wouldn’t be renewed for 2019-2029.
And Y&R will, without a doubt be renewed for the next 5 years, and likely beyond that.

I would worry about GH and its future.
(( it desperately needs to clean house get new writers/producer with new modern ideas))

It’s like; she’s mine you can’t have her even if I don’t want her thing..
Until then Summer will get revengeful and plot against Kyle to take him down to get her jollies. That is obvious too.

I don’t know if I can honestly say that Summer will deliberately hurt Kyle. She does love him. I have seen a change, for the better, in Summer….that’s coming from me—I never had anything nice to say about her, yet her transformation to adulthood is working for me. ….unless it’s a big act, making me underestimate her as a good actress. Since I am a fan of both shows, I am glad they are getting picked up again. With that being said I wish someone could show these comments sections to the powers that be of both shows and listen to the fans. I really have no problems with Y&R, except for the fact that people must think Adam Newman is part cat and he has nine lives. If I am thinking wrong, someone please correct me. Hello again. I just got through making a comment to you on the return of MSEagen on Y&R. I have had to stop watching B&B for a while. I hate the dead/switched baby SL, and so sick of Hope crying all over her baby’s ultrasound picture, and as you said, always trying to send Liam to Steffy. I don’t like the new Thomas either, with Hope or Sally. He’s as nutty as his mother.We all know this baby thing will come out eventually, but all this crap in the meanwhile drives me crazy!

How ironic that Taylor is supposed to be some top notch psychiatrist, and she is missing a few screws along with her son. Today’s episode (5/3) was just as bad. With her history with men, you know she isn’t going to just go her merry way, without causing trouble. The big question, will she aim for Ridge, or her old friend’s husband Eric? Look how quickly she got that gown on. I am sure she wants a piece of that pie she’s pushing Flo to secure.

The Talk now loses Sara its founder and already lost Julie! And so the ratings (2+ Million) are not much better than As The World Turns when it was cancelled many years ago. I have never liked the show since it replaced an old favorite. Marie Osmond may bring a small bump up in ratings but I can’t see her and Sharon carrying that show. Marie needs to stick with her Nutri-System ads.

Y&R’s Michael Mealor Ties the Knot

Congratulations are in order to The Young and the Restless Michael Mealor (Kyle) and his beautiful bride, Sasha.

The duo tied the knot in a wedding ceremony on March 23 at the Stanly Ranch Auberge Resorts in Napa Valley, California.

In a post on Sasha’s Instagram account where she shared wedding pics of their big day, Mealor shared: “You are my world!”

Then, Mealor’s best friend, GH’s Josh Swickard (Chase) post his comment upon seeing the happy couple, adding “SASHA MEALOR!!!!😍❤️🔥🙌👏”

Back in December of 2022, Michael Fairman TV reported that Michael and Sasha were engaged, and from the looks of it things moved quickly – flash forward – the Mealors are ready to start their lives together as a married couple as April 2023 approaches.

Stacy Keibler to be Inducted Into WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2023

With Wrestlemania 39 weekend in Los Angeles fast approaching, a fourth inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame has been announced.

As many had predicted, Stacy Keibler will join Rey Mysterio Jr., The Great Muta and Andy Kaufman as the class of 2023. The induction ceremonies take place on Friday night and stream on Peacock beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

Keibler (age 43), the now mom of three, was shocked and emotional upon learning she was being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. When speaking with PEOPLE, who broke the news of Kiebler’s induction, Stacy expressed that she found out from an unexpected call from a WWE rep two weeks ago, while she was in her kitchen.

“When she told me, I screamed,” Stacy shared. “Tears were in my eyes, and I was completely overwhelmed with just gratefulness.”

As for how she made her way into pro wrestling, Stacy first made her mark after winning a contest to become a member of the WCW Monday Night Nitro, ‘Nitro Girls’ dance troupe.

A self-admitted long-time wrestling fan, Keibler first made her mark when she became an ‘accountant and manager’ in WCW named ‘Miss Hancock’. When Vince McMahon purchased WCW, Keibler headed to WWE and in 2001 made her debut as part of The Alliance.

Later, Stacy was renamed as ‘The Duchess of Dudlyville” and managed The Dudley Boyz. Still later, she managed Test, Scott Steiner, and then came Rosey and The Hurricane, where she became ‘Super Stacy” along with the superhero duo. Throughout her WWE career, she had shared memorable matches against Torrie Wilson and Sable.

Since exiting the WWE in 2006, Keibler has appeared on numerous TV shows including: competing for the Mirror Ball Trophy on Dancing with the Stars and a guest-spot on How I Met Your Mother.

‘Wheel of Fortune’ Welcomes WWE Superstars for Weeklong Tournament as Part of ‘Wrestlemania Goes Hollywood Week’

Wheel of Fortune has announced that in episodes airing March 27-31, that it will be known as “WWE Week’ as part of the ‘WrestleMania Goes Hollywood’ promotion as the WWE heads into its biggest event weekend of the year.

Wrestlemania 39 will emanate from Los Angeles at Sofi Stadium on April 1st and 2nd, and many of the WWE Superstars participating on Wheel of Fortune will also be seen at the annual Super Bowl of Pro Wrestling.

Look for hosts: Pat Sajak and Vanna White to welcome multiple WWE superstars in a special Wheel of Fortune tournament.

Each day four different superstars will play alongside WWE superfans, all hoping to come out victorious and win the ultimate WrestleMania VIP experience.

WWE Superstars spinning the wheel will include: Drew McIntyre, Bianca Belair, Members of The ‘New Day’ (Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston & Big E), Austin Theory, The Miz, Bayley, Liv Morgan, Sonya Deville, Natalya & Carmella.
